I recently experienced an unjust overcharge of an exorbitant sum for a one-year NORD VPN subscription, processed a staggering 15 days before the scheduled renewal. Despite my efforts to communicate my prior termination attempt, the customer service remained unresponsive and unwilling to engage in any meaningful discussion. This lack of consideration and refusal to address my concerns has left me highly disappointed. The experience raises serious questions about the company's customer service and transparency.
I signed up for a 7 day trial period - cancelled within one day. A week later they billed me for a year. I have all the supporting docs showing cancellation, etc... No phone customer support only chat. Baldo, the support, said I had a trial period previously -which I did not. Asked a manager to email me because apparently no one knows how to use a phone. I've been trying for 3 months to get a refund! Their rating should be -1.
Hello. If you have previously used trial service you wouldn't be eligible for another free trial run. If you were to order second trial, you'd be charged afterwards. I purchased NordVPN because I often work from coffee shops. After downloading the VPN, it made my computer SO SLOW that I had to turn it completely off just to get anything done in an efficient manner. I feel like I was completely misled. Customer service would not issue me a refund because I was outside of the 30 day window. What kind of policy is this? You charge for a service that makes my browsing experience unbearable and then keep my money for a service I am no longer using or want to use? Change the policy and offer your customers a refund for your crappy product.

They want to force you to change your password when a third party service says the password for your email has been "powned". They do not take into account people who use different passwords for each login, do not understand that forced password changes actually LOWERS security (look it up), and when asked for specific evidence that a password was leaked, they can not (or will not) provide it. They treat a long-time customer like a newbie and just spout nonsense with no evidence at all. If you want security, go somewhere else because these people have no clue.

So I purchased Nord VPN and it worked ok for about 2 months until it came time for an update. After the update it would not work at all, could not connect, it was frozen and totally useless. I contacted the online chat help desk and spoke to various people with fake names who could not fix the problem and promised me someone would be in contact via email within 72 hours. That never happened. So I went to online chat again after 5 days and asked what was happening only to be told "we are working on it". I then asked to not worry about trying to fix the issue and just refund the amount less the 2 months it worked ok only to be told "We will not do that" They told me they would talk to management and email be. Never happened after another 3 days. So I went again back online to ask whats happening only to be told "We have a technical issue" When I asked about the refund the reply was "Sorry about that" These guys are nothing other than scammers.

The website had a glitch such that its back-end system did not register me turning off its auto-renewal function. I only realise it until three months later that I was still being billed for the VPN subscription. I demanded for a refund for the extra months of payments when I did not use the service at all. However, the staff (Steve) attending to my request refused citing that they are unable to verify my claim and I was not able to produce a confirmation email on the cancellation of renewal. This is shocking as it was never stated in their contract terms that I should expect to receive such an email confirmation upon turning-off the auto-renewal function. The lack of clear instructions on opting out an automatic opt-in service design is dodgy and constitutes a grave form of customer negligence, which they refuse to acknowledge and amend. I find the experience super disappointing and I believe such unethical business practice should be condemned.
Hello Jacie, indeed it seems that you did not follow through with the auto-renewal cancelation process and due to our no-logs policy, we are unable to verify whether or when our service was used by a particular user. Disclaimer about confirmation email appears upon changing auto-renew setting on your Nord Account panel. Sorry for any frustration this has caused you.
Online security that you cannot trust. They are scammers. Watch out for auto renew. They don't refund an auto renew even if you didn't authorize it. Every user should call there credit card company to get a charge back so this company goes bankrupt. Scammers

I bought six years of vpn service. I started noticing that I was unable to use Google and many other government sites.
I reached out for refund. They said we give 1 month policy. I told them to keep 1 year but refund for next 5 years. They ignored. Please review email from this company. Be cautious
I paid for ONE MONTH of NordVPN in January. That was all I needed. I ended my subscription before the month was out, NordVPN continued billing me every month without notice or sending any receipts. They refused to refund me.

Tried it thinking it had the money back guarantee. The app ended up never working while I was on vaca. So I deleted it and thought I unsubscribed.
Turns out I didn't and got dinged the 2nd month. Asked support rep to reimburse one month at least since the vpn never worked the whole 2 weeks of me trying. Basically send it wasn't their problem and no refund was available at all and had the balls to tell me I should try their other services! What a joke.
Worst customer service. VPN is trash. It didn't work. Try another company with better customer service and works
