Northbound Gear

Northbound Gear's exchange process is not at all clear. I've followed the website directions as directed but it's completely ambiguous whether I'm receiving an exchange for a different size or a refund. I tried calling customer service to clarify and it took 10 days to get an emailed response, with no way to ask the questions I need to ask. Although the pants seem great, I will never order them again due to the customer service - both very slow and confusing.

Got the waterproof hiking pants for my hubby and he absolutely LOVES them! They fit perfectly, look fantastic, and are holding up impeccably. Thank you for a great product - we'll definitely be back for more!

Love the velcro waist adjusters; so nice to be able to adjust to my natural waist rather than having to use a belt. They should be on every pair of pants!
The fit was absolutely perfect, a little stretch, not too tight or loose. The darts on the knees make bending my leg comfortable as well.
I would sincerely recommend these as well as the womens winter pants (through Canadian winters as a letter carrier).

Only a small issue with shipping this time. Not sure what happened, but they were good and worked with me to get me my order. From the few times Ive ordered this was the only time there was a delay.

See how it goes. It cost us 24$ to ship back to Northbound so hopefully this pair fits otherwise that's almost $50 in shipping. The pants themselves are very well made and we love the material.

The shopping experience was easy enough, though I was a little worried about sizing my adventure pants. It took only slightly longer than anticipated to arrive but it was worth it, and the company was quite good about emailing updates and tracking. The pants fit very well - the semi-elastic waist is a great feature! They are warm, durable, and have kept all moisture types I have encountered from soaking in or through. No frozen pants/legs this New England winter! I am very happy with this purchase.

We like the pants. They took a long time to arrive and there was not a lot of follow up to keep me posted about their progress.
I also need to exchange them each for a smaller size. Hope that will not be too complicated.

I first purchased the insulated pants to see how they were. I put them on and they felt like PJ's. Since then I have ordered 1 more pair and 2 jackets. All items are well made, very water resistant almost water proof. Shipping was fast.

The product is mediocre at best. Northbound Gear are bragging for no real apparent reason. I could have spent similar monies and bought 'real' brand name pants, or bought MEC ones for less money.

Lured in by Canadian design only to receive, weeks later, the same Chinese clothing found on eBay for 1/4th the price.
Way over priced, super slow shipping. Oh you get a tracking number right away. However, the product sits at the "fast shipping express" place for a month, lol.

The water resistant women's pants are super comfy and warm. They fit perfect! I ordered a men's pair but they were too big. I sent them back for an extra exchange. I'm currently waiting for the exchange to arrive but I was very impressed when Northbound contacted me to follow up regarding my order. Great service!

Ive been a lot more active the past few years. Saw the ad, pants on sale. Figured id give a try. Loved them. Got another pair.very comfortable. I like i dont need to wear compression pant underneath, no chaffing. Pockets are pretty good. And i like that they feel like real pants.

Ordered two pairs of adventure waterproof trousers, one was too big so sent back and reordered a smaller size - new trousers arrived and are much better fit - product appears very well made and of really good quality.
Only issue was when returning the trousers that were too big, it cost £27 to return them - a bit of a shock and would make me think twice about ordering again

These are real value for money. Although based in the UK, where the weather is generally milder (tho' the last ten days has seen arctic winds, snow and ice!), these trousers cope very well with all the rain we get and our changeable weather. These "Adventure" pants are also lined and keep you warm as well as dry. I strongly recommend anyone to this product and admit to having two pairs!

My husband absolutely loves the trousers that I bought him. He uses them a lot for dog walking, they're perfect for the winter in UK and really easy to wipe down muddy paws after our dog has jumped up numerous times! A win win would definitely recommend them.

Couple of issues with my experience. I saw a pair of lovely walking trousers on social media and linked to order on line. An intro discount voucher was offered so I filled in the detail but the 20% off voucher never arrived. I ordered the trousers anyway, spent £80 and took a while to arrive. They were lovely but too big so I wrapped them up hoping to get a replacement. That's when I discovered that I had to pay for return postage to Canada from the UK at a cost of £18. I contacted customer service and cancelled my replacement. Overall disappointed with the wasted time.

Well-designed pants, appreciate the bottom zippers (though would recommend a reinforcing tab that covers the zipper to reduce strain (by boots seem to be larger that the pant legs). Comfortable and will rate again with some miles on them.

Bought a pair of the Men's Adventure water resistant pants. My order came within two weeks, I tried them on an found them very comfortable. I had to wait for cooler weather to wear them. I love the fact that the fabric stretches and moves with your body. I've bought other outdoor pants but they were rigid and stiff. Will definitely be buying these pants and other Northbound gear again!
