Northbound Gear

I've been looking for a pair of comfortable insulated pants and purchased a pair from Northbound Gear. I liked the fabric and construction, but I found the fit too loose in the thighs, so decided to return them. The return policy is "full refund within 60 days", but that really isn't exactly the case. Although my pants were shipped to me from the United States, the return address is in BC Canada, and shipping there is not cheap, plus they charge a restocking fee. On top of that, getting the return authorization took several of calls and emails. I'm hoping I eventually get the refund.

Haven't wore yet but look good. Only issue I have is unlike other online stores I buy from returns for exchange due to fit are not covered.probably won't buy again due to this hefty additional expense. I bought 2 pair same size yet one was too tight.

Ordering was easy, it took a week longer than they said but did arrive, the adventure pants (winter version) are super comfortable! I am impressed with the softness, warmth, stretch, and fit. As long as they hold up I will purchase a pair of summer hiking pants.

Pants are wonderful. They take a bit of breaking into but very comfy.

Shipping was a bit wonky with my package being stuck in Illinois for 2 weeks then went back to Los Angeles and had to come back through Chicago, IL. Eventually got my pants though!

Love the pants, great fit, great look. Definitely need to wear the pants with a belt though. The elastic waist is great for comfort but can ride down when bent over.
Constant email and marketing can be less. So many specials, and discounts its hard to keep track of whats a good deal or not. The more marketing that gets sent out, the faster it gets read and deleted maybe to my own detriment..

You should not provide waybill with delivery expectations when the order had not shipped. No replies from customer service not a great feeling.

As an outdoor enthusiast I have been on the hunt for a pair or women's outdoor pants that would truly stand up to the winter weather conditions.
These pants passed all my expectations with flying colours. They are comfortable for both hiking and Biking and they keep me warm and dry even on a very rainy day.

This is the worst consumer experience of 2022 and is now dragging into 2023. Pants are sweat pants with a horrible fit not outdoor pants. Took over a month to get. Came from New Jersey return is in Canada so over $22 to ship and a $5 dollars restock on an order I tried to cancel repeatedly. No one even answers the phone.

You promised your product by a certain date and it was extremely late ( by 3 weeks) just tell people the correct and actual delivery date. Or improve your service. My product had to come through customs? I am leery of any future purchase. Product quality is good thus far. While I understand you are a small company I would just suggest the communication would have alleviated much of my concern. I may purchase again from your company keeping this in mind.

The quality of the pants are great and the fleece definitely keeps you warm! They've got a comfortable fit. I'll be sure to be using these on my future hikes and camping trips but you can even wear them casually on colder days which is great! I would recommend easily!

I've ordered several items from Northbound Gear and didn't find them worth the cost. Many lose threads, zippers that don't work properly and the return process (since it has to be returned to Asia) is difficult to say the least. Although NB Gear is still on the lower price end for travel/adventure gear, your better off spending more on the higher priced, better quality, not adding china gear.

Ordered from Northbound Gear for the first time. A bit of apprehension at first that it might be one of those poor quality product dressed up with a nice website and presentation. After receiving the long sleeved top, it realised that the quality is good, material is light and cooling while the shirt was true to size. Well done! My wife was aghast at the camouflage pattern though since I stop serving in the an army a long time ago.

Delivery took 5+ weeks. Ordered Christmas gifts in mid-November, barely received product in time for Christmas. Product maybe be good, still remains to be seen... Customer service is awful, and staff don't seem to know what is going on or how their own internal processes work.

I don't usually buy products from facebook ads but I bought the waterproof jacket from here and was so impressed that I ordered a pair of the adventurer pants. This company is the real deal, both items are really great quality and deliver on every front.

Ordered 2 pairs of pants over a month ago. Still have not received. Northbound gears answer was to have me spend hours on the phone with the post office and still unable to find. They also refuse to refund by money. Very dissatisfied with how they have handled this. Will never use again.

The owners/employees have sent very polite messages. But only when prompted by me.
There had been no update messages about the status of my order, unless I pushed.
Also, the product has not been delivered after 4 or 5 weeks.
I'm worried that if the product does not fit me, it will take more weeks to return the item and receive a replacement.
I really want to like the product.

No hassle ordering. Timely delivery. The quality and fit of these pants are exactly as presented on the website. The material is comfortable and the Capri roll up increases their versatility. They are great value and have my favourite summer pant. I wish they were available in more colours.

These pant do what they say to a point. So please understand that I love them enough to buy two more pairs and a bunch of other stuff too. They are great, but not as cut or damage proof as they say. Manage to poke two whole in a part with wood splinter from a pallet. Outside that they have been worth ever Penny!
