Most profiles are fake. Price is way too expensive to look at fake profiles. Stick to Tinder or Bumble. You can actually meet and talk to people on Tinder and Bumble. OK Cupid in Mexico or USA is simply waste of money and time 100 percent scam

If you happen to be a really attractive woman with a bubbly personality, this site will have you swiping left 95% of the time. The 5% of dates you go on will be with men who are average or below average looks wise. Personality wise they will be creepy, on a rebound $#*! fest, socially awkward or just plain uninteresting. Coupled with their sub-bar faces you'll be ending the date early so you can go home and chill with your Netflix. If you happen to stumble upon a genuinely attractive guy with a seemingly outgoing profile, it's almost 100% guarantee that the pics are fake. Steer clear of OKCupid, ladies.

OKCupid has turned from a gem to a tu#d. It's not what it used to be several years ago. They took to misleading their customers. They are just pushing packages. Nothing is done to prevent scam so OkCupid accommodates multiple scammers and fakes. Anyway, I left it. It's not worth a cent because their women are not real. I recommend staying away from OkCupid. Basic membership gives you nothing. You have to pay for everything. But when you start paying you find out that all your likes and messages are entirely from scammers.

The site is clumsy, the like button doesn't work. When you send a message and they respond you can send additional messages. There is no search engine to find the ideal person. You have to struggle thru the site mistakenly to find anyone. Your bombarded with people from overseas that you would never consider. It's expensive compared to other sites. Not a site to find someone easily.

I have used OKCupid for a few years. It progressively gets worse, but at this point I do not know how it could get worse, but it probably will. The site sends me messages that someone messaged me. But does not tell me who. And there are no messages in my Inbox. At least half of the profiles are women who have answered exactly 15 questions, are young, attractive, have one picture, and are completely fake or in Indonesia,,,, I guess the competition is just too great, and this site failed to evolve

I don't think any of the dating sites have it down. They need to go back to Love Connection when you had video submissions lol. I'm only half joking. Ok Cupid has potential to accurately match you, but sometimes it's like they throw these guys at you that have literally nothing to do with your match criteria. It's one of the better sites to choose from though.

I've a sneaking suspicion the fake profiles one finds on okcupid have also drifted over to sitejabber to post positive reviews. Anyone whom has experienced okcupid knows there's nothing positive about it.

I tried POF and that didn't take so I decided to try OkCupid since I heard it was a lot different. You fill out a personality assessment and answer questions for it to help find you people that match up. I was feeling hopeful about that feature until I saw the messages I was getting. Every guy that messaged me was very unattractive and to be blunt I'm an 8 so I was baffled guys like that even had the nerve to message me. I wait two weeks to see if it changed. Not one message. Not one person stood out to me or was even average looking. I'm not sure if it's better when you pay for a membership but the free features are definitely a no-go. If you're someone who isn't unfortunate looking I don't recommend this site. These are the types of people that live in their mom's basement. Put off free online dating completely.

When looking for girl online there is only one place on start and it's here. Sure, there are a few hidden gems out there (e. G wejustfit.com) but overall OkCupid is what you need to meet a girl. I love it!

This dating site just does not work. The matches are abominable and you only see if someone is interested in you if you also "like" them. If someone sends you a message, you don't see it unless you also happen to see their profile and like them too. Who decided to filter my messages? It's crazy. People are leaving this dating site in droves. Whatever you do, don't pay for any services because they are bogus.

Additionally, the site goes down periodically and does not function at all for hours on end... What could be a great dating site is probably the worst of any out there.

Absolutely amazing site. It is my second favorite dating site after Mingle2day and if you manage to ignore a few scammers (but don't worry: they are easy to spot) you can have a great time on OKCupid. Keep it up guys!

This would have to be the worst site out there! I got constant emails from overseas (which was not a part of my search) and most were obvious scammers.
There were very few local people matched and the ones that were did not fit my search criteria. I constantly got a message that said no matches found due to my filters... I widened the age group, the kilometres and narrowed it down to a non smoker and results were the same!
Don't waste your time or money on this site... its a scam!

Just a procrastination tool. It's fun if you don't take it too seriously & keep your expectations low. If you're good-looking white dude from the US, it will certainly be a good ego boost since you will be getting a boatload of "likes" and matches from hot foreigners from South America, Asia, Africa, Dominican Republic, etc. I'm going to assume that +10,000 "likes" is a lot for a man?

If you travel internationally on a regular basis, I'm sure OkCupid would be a 5.

OkCupid is a funny one, its not as bad as some people will say (usually people who try online dating for a month and think they know it all) and not as good as others will make you think. I've used enough of these sites to know that the key to me getting away from single life is to use a few sites at a time and change the ones that dont work every few months. At the moment im using wejustfit with match and thats going on 4 months now. Its a winning combo for me but im in London so it all depends where you are. I'd recommend either of these sites to be honest but try as many as you can be bothered to and see what works.

It is a good dating site if you don't want to cost money. You can send or receive letters for free. But you are not sure whether the people is real person.

I have been with my now husband for five years and married for three. We have a baby boy. I am thankful for okcupid and sticking with it and being light about it and knowing what I wanted and he did too. You can be polite if someone you don't see yourself messages you. There are women and men out there that want and accept a number of things. Enjoy the process and you will find one that fits the bill. Meeting, dating then marrying is a big commitment. Most of the men on this site are the type that lack the confidence to approach women in public or have serious commitment issues and use this site as another way to pick up women. Most of messages are either hey beautiful or some other generic garbage they would never say in real life. It was quite depressing to consistently receive the same message. Not quality men for the most part, beware.

If someone makes a false accusation against you, they don't ask for your side of the story - they want to make a "safe user experience" for the person who reported you, so they automatically ban you. Quality has gone way downhill in recent months - was seeing the same people over and over again. Total waste of time.

OKCupid is absolutely decrepit. It does not work properly! When I do a search for "Hookups only" on the OKCupid app on my phone, not a single profile of a person who is trying to hook up shows up. When I use it on my PC, the results are entirely different, and I come across plenty of profiles of people looking for a hookup. This makes absolutely no sense! The site/app are either poorly written, poorly maintained, or both. They even charged me $7.99 just so I can see who likes me, which is totally ridiculous! :(

I've been on okcupid for 3 months, and went on dates with 7 different men in the first month, but now my likes and messages all dried up. All of the men are liars, either about appearance, age, or intention. 3 were 5'2'' and lied about their height, adding 3 inches. One was more overweight and had a lot of acne, but was a decent guy. One tried to convince me to want children when I explicitly said I don't want kids; he liked single moms, so why didn't he just stick to the maternal types? 2 were older than their profile and had white hair for their "thirty" years of age. One started groping me and claimed he was giving me a message; he tried to get me to drink alcohol even though I don't drink. One showed up 1 hour late and never talked to me again.

I've used this site for nearly 4 years. I haven't had a lot of luck here but that's not really my issue. My issue is how they were indiscriminate against a photo that I was pretty sure was aligned with their terms of service. This is the same one I've used on other sites with better results without much hassle. When I asked and complained about it they refused to reply. They've had worse pictures on that stupid site and a ton of them are ten times more offensive than a goofy picture of me. Sorry not only do you have crappy dates you also have crappy service.

OkCupid is by far my favorite of all the sites Ive tried and Ive had the most success on it despite currently being single. It offers options other sites dont like narrowing down your search criteria to specific groups and types as well as giving a person the freedom to choose between a variety of sexual orientations and preferences. It may not seem like a big deal to most people, but other sites flat out exclude certain groups due to their lack of options. Im not poly or in an open relationship, but some people are and not all of them are swingers for god sake! If you are looking for a site thats not as vanilla as the mainstream dating sites and no where near as hardcore as some others, OkCupid might be a good choice for you.
