Great website! Cool approach to the online dating world. Mostly clean well managed, Free! There are obviously things that could be improved, like server speed or conversation approaching style option expansion, but again it's free.
I came onto this site twice, each time paid the monthly fee and each time my preferences were totally ignored. I am specific about what I want so that I do not have to go through 100's of men's profiles to weed out the men who smoke or want children. I find this website did absolutely nothing for me. They say no particular pictures are allowed to be posted yet they are constantly posted and low quality people are here to choose from because no one is checking the sites for quality assurance. This is the worst site as far as low level for the price, is should always be free if the site isn't doing what it claims its doing for you.
Too many of the women on the site are too selective. They don't even bother to respond or sometime even check out my profile, although I have had one or two respond to say we weren't a match or to reply to an anecdote I gave after reading her profile.
I paid around $14 for the month in order to be 'invisible' and see if my messages were actually being read. (They were). Unfortunately, as aforementioned, the response rate is horrible.
I was a member of OKCupid and they cut me off for no reason! They never communicated with me as to why, my profile was simply deleted! OKCupid needs to be sued (which I am looking into doing); they need to be shut down!
Let's do a class action against the scammers!
I had little to no luck on OkC. Figured I'd put in a sincere effort to find someone but fate had other plans. I expected the women to be extremely selective in who they chatted with and why wouldn't they, the market is in their favor. If I had to guess it's probably ten males to one female, so the odds are stacked against dudes.
Advice to the guys, sign up with very low and I mean LOW expectations, don't set yourself up for failure.
The worst dating site EVER. They send you matches based upon questions you answer, however most of the matches they send you are fake. When the matches are not fake, they're flaky people who are hurt and punish others who are seriously looking for love. If not either of the previous two kinds of situations they just want sex or to sell sex/sexual content and every match that is placed for are mostly an hour or more away so that way you will pay for the premium service to see people close to you. You cannot see who like you either so that way they can force you to buy premium for their EXTRA PREMIUM price. They also push ads on you so they can make money with those clicks as well. Greedy selfish unrelenting scum who have no backbone or interest in helping people actually meet their true love. Just another company ran by tagged/hi5 and yet another scam site of this sisterhood of garbage companies.

Go somewhere else unless you want to be disappointed
Is this site for real. I have been on it for about 4 hours and have gotten over 15 messages with guys phone numbers or them requsting mine. I even have one guy in Texas wanting to meet up somewhere for the weekend. I won"t be on here long. Most of these guys are in there 40's. I am 65.
I've had a couple of dates on OkCupid, not as many as I had on wejustfit.com but ive used that longer so it's fair enough. Anyway with OkCupid one was really nice and I think we'll stay in touch, the other was a non-starter, got a train to glasgow to meet up and let's just say it wasn't worth the butterflies or the train ticket. Went to one of the Match Nights events too but weather was typically terrible so turnout was poor. So at this point nothing to write home about but also not a waste of time either.
OkCupid should change their name to OkStupid. They won't help you if you are having problems by answering simple questions. However, they expect you to answer a gillion or so questions from them. How many do you have to answer before the let you in? Who knows I answered almost 300. This is crazy. Then they gave me $#*! about my one and only photo of myself, saying that it's too small, select another. Well, I don't have another. Nor do I know how to post one if I had it. Then, when I finally did get in, my conversation was one way. I don't know if she got it or not, because I don't know where my mailbox is. It's not like facebook where you can see the entire conversation right there. This site sux. It is NOT user friendly at all.
Tip for consumers:
Don't waste your time unless you are very computer savy.
I was on POF and OK Cupid at the same time. I met someone on a date from this site and I messaged a friend who called me and pretended to be stuck in a ditch needing immediate assistance. His picture was not him, he asked for sex up against his truck, and he parked behind me so I couldn't move my car. Our date was supposed to be at a bar and grill I knew, but when we got there it was closed for the season. I drove through the grass to get away.
There are probably decent people on here, but there seem to be more shifty scumbags. Use with caution!
I have not found another dating site with the amount of scammers I found on OkCupid! In the last week I found about a dozen fake profiles!
The sad and disturbing part is, the scammers are all still doing their dirty business - even after I reported them, providing OkCupid with reliable data and proof of their wrongdoing.
Ladies, please beware and be cautious!

Many profiles are fake on there. Even local profile members are fake, often rude and use vulgar language. Some profiles message you once and ghost you the rest of the time. Bumble App is better. Plus your phone number will have problems logging into the App, website. So much time wasted on fake people that been on the App for years.
My name is Mike and am VERY happy to say that I have met my true love on okcupid.com in late February of 2019 Laura's daughter made her an okcupid account. At that time I had just made an account myself, I was the first person to send Laura a private message. We chatted on the site for free, for a couple of weeks, before exchanging phone numbers. We found out that we lived about 5 minutes apart but, we had a really hard time setting up our first date, due to weather, illness, and crazy work schedules. On March 12th we finally got a short meeting face to face. On March 15th, we had our first date. Okcupid gave us a 91% match but we say that it's more like 100%. On July 4th 2020 we became husband and wife. We never would have met without okcupid and it's then free messenger service. Thank you okcupid.
I wish there were a way to filter those out of my age range from spamming me.
I am 61 male looking for a monogamous relationship yet in the last couple of weeks all the notifications I get of someone "liking" me are young women looking for "hookups" and non-monogamous. My profile states I am looking for a long term relationship. Those not within my age range or meet other criteria should not be allowed to contact or spam me. Then it's difficult to delete them all so I can see just the legit likes. It's to the point I am may opt-out of this site of they cannot do something to filter this. I think prostitution has invaded their site. And then trying to find contact information to receive help is non-existent. If OKcupid were interested in my business they would do something.
I never really took okcupid seriously until I received a genuine message from a handsome man who wanted the same things out of life as I did. If it wasn't for this site I never would have met my boyfriend and the man who makes my heart melt. He's changed me into such a better person and has shown me what love truly is and actually makes me look forward to my future and our future together! So thank you okcupid
I've gone off and on with this site a few times. I find it fun to use so am giving it 2 stars, the quality of men I give 0. I see the same the guys always on there. They LIVE on this site. Apparently all the other women find them repulsive or they wouldn't be spending their lives on there with obviously no results! 99% of the men are thug types, look like serial killers or have huge beards. Get a clue.
So i used it for some time and texted and liked and swiped but no one literally responded! And ur bio and pics don't really matter... Although i do like the idea of matching but there seems to be a lot of dead profiles and fake peofiles unless u pay u don't get anything out of this or any other app... fortunately i gt out fr free...
Some people like this site better than POF but I don't... OK cupid is a little gimmicky to me and there are less people I'd be interested in dating but I've been on both of those free sites and hands down they are so much better than any popular paid sites you see advertised (how do you think they pay for those advertisements? By charging you) Most people on those sites signed up for the free trial then went inactive once the trial is over.
OK cupid makes you answer hundreds of questions for a questionable goal of it being able to to match you based on their secret algorithm. Well, after having answered a 1000 and receiving laughable matches in return it is clear that the real goal is okcupid harvesting your data (and running experiments on it) Their algorithm will leave you exhasporated and without any recourse because, 1- you cannot tweak their algorithm to make it more accurate, and they will hide most users from you based on what they see fit, 2- their support is almost nonexistent, and inconsistent in their answers, 3-their memberships are non refundable. You are better off with a more privacy oriented site that won't waste your time forcing you to churn data they can harvest and resell.
It is very difficult to find compatible woman. Their new "mutual fit" feature is to put it kindly garbage. If you are one year outside of what is listed as a preferred age range they won't show a profile in a search match. So there are very few profiles to see and you don't see profiles that appear to be a better fit and are a high match % because they don't exactly match the age preference. The bottom line is they won't show you a lot of profiles because of a minor difference in preferences. Yet they show recent activity from people hundreds of miles away and in some of their features profiles from a long distance away will come up as a potential match!
In regards to the matches, I'm not super picky but do have some standards. The most attractive matches are super picky and super independent. Most of them I think really want to be single unless somebody super rich or attractive comes their way. Total crap and a big waste of time.
Great site. Why pay for a dating site that try to rip you off when this one is free and genuine. I have in the past taken a 3 day day trial offer on a pay site and ended up paying £200 before I could cancel my membership. What is more I didnt get a single response from any woman member.
I joined the site (via mobile app) for testing purpose and then same night i went through their steps to delete the account. I got the confirmation message account was successfully deleted and that they were sorry to see me go, after confirmation i deleted my iOS app. However within next 24 hours i got email that someone has liked me. Then in another 12 hours one more email came "our picks for your" and they kept persisting and when i clicked on one of their recommendation, my profile was right there on the laptop browser, i didn't have to login into the system - it just auto logged in via a click on a recommendation on the email, also all my photos and content still existed on the profile. This is ridiculous and illegal to retain my content and keep badgering me via emails.
Top dating site? I had slightly different expectations when I joined. But oh well... maybe the time will come.
That being said, I dont necessarily love the layout and the general feel of this site. Could do with some imporvements, imo.
What I like about this site is that they are upfront. It is a decent "free" dating site. If you want more than the basics, you pay for these products and/or services. Nice thing is that you get to test drive it for as long as you like, Not a "free this weekend and then we automatically start billing you" If it is for you, then step up and add some options.
It absolutely looks like a good dating site. Easy to navigate, nice and clean interface and it is mostly free. Looks like a nice alternative to POF.
In my opinion you won't meet as many people as on sites like Mingle2day and Match and honestly I haven't met anyone from OKC so far. But at least I can see it happen. Site looks good to me.
So many scam artist. They come at you like vultures. If you give it some time you will find they have the same sob story. They all have one child. They are either divorced or their wives are dead or left on drugs. Be careful about the copy and pasting and they never want to talk on the phone. They are all full of crap but theyvare stealing other people's identity off Twitter and Facebook as well as their pictures. They are copying and pasting their words in emails and texts. They are persistent. Just be careful remember your get what you pay for. They troll this site because it is free.
Tip for consumers:
This site is full of scam artists. They all tell you they are in the military and on a peace keeping mission. They never talk on the phone. They either want to text or instant message you. If they don't talk don't deal with them. What do they have to hide. They are stealing other people's information and pictures while copying and pasting the information on these made up profiles. All very bizzare. It happened to me years ago. They are very persistent and will try to wear you down with creeks of
I had downloaded the program OK cupid and had my account unpaid for a little while but there was so called five people liked me. Since you have to pay to see who likes you I paid the money. But I found all five likes had been fag boys even though I had in my profile that I was a straight male. So why was OK cupid showing my profile to gays when I said I was straight. Be warned about this scam of a site
