Sent wrong part, forced to submit ticket for customer service and haven't heard back from them in a timely manor. Shop anywhere but here even if it's the cheapest option.
I have purchased 3 items from "partsgeek" (radiator, 2x O2 sensors, & thermostat). It was the worst experience ever in my entire life! Never been so disappointed at such level of fraud, lies, and unprofessionalism.
First, they sent me a different radiator that is completely different from what they posted, and when contacted the CS manager I was completely devastated by his denial as well as carefree regarding the matter. They refused to admit the mistake nor send me the return authorization (the shipping cost's $65). As for the O2 sensors, I faced another dilemma once I tried to install them. The problem was the harness adapter that doesn't match the one of the car. Another awful disappointment.
This company must be boycotted for their negligence and unprofessionalism. Unfortunately, I didn't do an in-depth search on them before placing my orders from PARTSGEEK. To anyone who care about quality, genuinity, and professional customer care, I strongly recommend you to stay away from this online sale company.
This site is a straight up scam. Run by hustlers. They send u WHATEVER is the cheapest garbage they can give u that will fit ur vehicle and charge u for top notch brand name OEM parts! They sent me 4 garbage generic $40 calipers for my truck after billing me $422 for power stop red powder coated calipers. Hung up 3 times. Kept puttin me on hold. Clasic run around. When I called to return em. And dont even try to get the $100 core charge back. Unless u have a lawyer on hand to call them.! They also claim free shipping. But billed me $48. If u feel like gettin straight up robbed partsgeek gets 5 stars from me as far as bein slick and robbin u from 3 angles at once! Hats off to the biggest scumbag scam site ive ever come across in 20 years of buying auto parts! Have no idea how the BBB or consumer affairs hasn't cought this shady $#*! scam site yet
Ordered foglights for my 05 Jeep Liberty. The description on their website was Brock Fog Light -Left and Right. Notes Fog Light---05-07 Jeep Liberty Fog Lamp Assembly Left and Right Except Renegade. All of the other fog lights for sale on their site clearly stated Driver or Passenger side. I ordered the fog lights expecting to receive 2. Only one arrived. I called customer service and the customer service rep stated. "Yes you are right, the website says Left and Right. I can see how you believed you would get two". Waited a day to receive an email response. The response was,: per warehouse confirmation the sku 2225-0017b Jeep Liberty Fog Light is a single fog light which can fit either Left or Right side. That's not what the warehouse confirmed. The warehouse confirmed that the website was misleading. Anthony, the supervisor, offered to give me a return authorization, but I had already installed the light. So the offer reverted to a $10.00 discount. All I wanted was another fog light. I could have purchased a set from another site for $60.00. Wish I had. Would have been an easy fix. Don't do business with Parts Geek. They will not make it right. Normally I only take the time to leave good reviews. This is an exception. Beware of deceptive practices and do not buy from this outfit.
I purchased a "new" TYC replacement alternator and it immediately started squealing after installing it. I called customer no-service and was told I could return the part for credit but it would be at MY EPENSE! I received a defective "new" alternator and then got the shaft - I had to spend just under $28 to ship it back. I protested to no avail. BUYER BEWARE- IF YOU GET A BAD PART FROM PARTSGEEK IT WILL COST YOU TO RETURN IT.
They said I had order two left brake calipers but I ordered left and right and made me pay to return their mistake and I haven't been able to drive my truck in forever.
Hello everyone who's read my post. I was happy with PartsGeek because of the affordable prices. Everything was going well until FedEx Smart Post said they delivered three out of four of my orders. I was home and outside and no FedEx employee every came to my place. I called FedEx file a claim, but they said it was Smart Post and Partsgeek has to file a claim. I went to the website and open a ticket to track my packages, but Partsgeek open up a return instead. I tried to call Partsgeek and was hang up 4 times, put on hold once and never got back to me. I even emailed them on the Return email, but they keep resend emails on how to ship back parts that I don't even have. I tried to open a ticket again but you're only allowed one ticket. I tried everything even calling back again, but after 10 minutes they pickup and hang up. I was a Partsgeek customer and now I will never order from them again. Lesson learned the hard way. I am out $83.77 plus taxes and partsgeek insurance which came a little over $100 dollars.
Ordered a replacement side mirror for a vehicle. Visually matched OEM, and installed easily, but when i tested function, I found the adjustment motor was defective and makes very loud noise when moving mirror. Can be heard 20ft from vehicle. Called asking for a replacement and was told they don't do that. I would have to ship the part back at my cost for UPS and insurance to get a refund on the original purchase in 2 weeks or less, then order a replacement as though I never had an issue the company had any responsibility for. Again having to pay another $10 shipping. Also, there return policy is attimate that you repack the product in a external box so the part is re saleable. "ITS DEFECTIVE". I suspect i was the second purchaser on this part as it arrived in a box with the part sleeve shoved to the side and the opening tabs of the box ripped. I wonder how many times they will blindly resell it. This is unfortunately why people lean toward doing business with Amazon and the like. No hassles on returns and concern for the customer getting what they paid for. Might result in return business. Hmm.
My part arrived as if it was dropped from a 13th floor bldg. So that had to be returned immediately, right? Wrong! It took a week to get an RMA from them and another week for a Fedex label. It took a total of a month and a half to finally receive my full refund and It was not an easy task. All inquiries are processed through a ticketing system which they pick up about a day later if you're lucky. They respond with more questions that have already been answered in their template in the ticket, thus further delaying the process. I believe this is purposely done to give them more time. You will then have to wait another 2+ days to get a response back. Keep in mind that the vehicle that needs the parts will be decommissioned while all these B. S. go on and on. Anyway, my only vehicle needed to be fixed right away, so I just went to a local parts store and got everything right the first time and my vehicle was fixed the same day. I had to pay more, but no headaches in the end.
I'll give the 2 stars for site's ease of use and prices. Negative stars for customer support.
This store can be good If they can get their crap together with customer service; Immediate response times, returns and exchanges like most online shops!
"Potential buyers beware, this company is a joke. Ordered brake pads, sensors and rotors for my 2005 c230, was given 2 tracking #'s, 1st order showed up and was complete with the 2 brake pads and sensors, next day 2nd order shows up with 1 rotor in a box which clearly states qty of 2, trying to get a hold of someone through their 800 is a joke, impossible, forced to leave an online ticket which can take 24/48 to respond, have gone back and forth with them going on 2 weeks and now they are blaming UPS for a missing package and I'm supposed to deal directly with them, when clearly I got the 2 shipments which stated all my items were supposed to be boxed in and their warehouse did not package the 2nd rotor inside one of the boxes. Instead of either sending me my rotor which is missing or refunding the $ for it, I know have to go through loops with UPS for a trace of a lost package? Which once again is NOT the case since I got both correctly shipped packages, but the contents of one which parts geeks failed to include both rotors... Trust me, save your $ from these thief’s and do your business elsewhere."
Man these guys are a joke ok ATF+4 one qt $16.99 WHAT A BURN AND IT'S VALVOLINE if I was broke down and had to survive in my Jeep in PartsGeek was right there in front of me their warehouse I wouldn't buy s*** from them. There no discount parts that's BS
I ordered a complete set of shocks and struts for my 98 4runner. To begin with I thought all was great, shipped quickly (according to them) and was suppose to arrive within a week. Day comes for them to arrive, nothing. Next day, nothing. So I called for them to blame UPS on them not being delivered, called UPS and they were never contacted to pick up my parts to ship them. Finally get this all straightened out and they ship my parts, I received them and at first glance everything was fine. But, once I looked closer the rear shocks had no bushings with them and they were suppose to. I have contacted them at least 5 times now about getting the bushings shipped but it's one excuse after the other. You can't ever get someone you can understand and God forbid you request a supervisor because they will leave you on hold, after so long but you on a call back list and you will never get a call back. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra buying your parts locally, you'll be glad you did in the long run.
Ordered two items, only received one. Smh. Tracking showed two items sent, but only got one. How could they miss that when they were shown to be mailed at the same time.
Partgeek is the worst parts dealer I have ever had to deal with I spend at least $1,000 a month on parts an I have never seen a company ship an empty box to a fed ex in pheniox arizona and they won't just return my money to me they said they have to contact the warehouse an find out the problem if I was you I would go spend a few more dollars an buy the part somewhere else Bc these people are a joke an don't need to be in business I can't beleive they have made it this long SHIPPED AN EMPTY BOX TO FED EX
I ordered a fuel pump on June 10th I believe I didn't get it until June 19th at which time me and my mail carrier sat down and Return to Sender it is now August 13th their managers there one is named Joe one is named Ryan one is named Samantha they are completely rude inexperienced and act just like children put you on hold until the business closes then you call again I'll put you on hold ask you your name once they hear that name that you give them and they've heard it before you can't get any of them to speak to you I went down to AutoZone bought my part paid the extra money but oh well you can't put a price on sanity these people will drive you insane and do everything in their power to keep your money they don't give one s*** about a customer I strongly advise anybody to steer clear of this business at all cost Leonard Jay Putnam
THESE MOTHER $#*!ERS HAVE $#*!ED WITH THE WRONG ONE NOW! I AM DRIVING RIGHT NOW TO NJ TO THE WAREHOUSE AND LET ME TELL YOU THE $#*!ING HELL TO PAY FOR $#*!ING ME OVER FOR THE PAST 3 $#*!ING MONTHS! THE GOOD THING FOR ME IT'S ONLY A 10 HOUR DRIVE BUT IT WILL BY GOLLY BE WORTH IT IN THE END! I AM AT MY WITTS END AND THERE IS HELL TO PAY!
Don't shop here. They sent me the wrong part that cost me $100 and they said that I had to pay to send it back because of their mistake. Complete unprofessional and I will be sure to contact the BBB.
I ordered 170$ worth of stuff and called the next day to cancel because I ordered two day shipping for 40$ and only two items were scheduled to show up at last minute but on time but not my other items called them talked to the head supervisor Anthony who is has a smart mouth on him and acts as if he is superior to others (jerk) I simply wanted my ordered canceled they said no it was already being shipped I said okay I want refund they said sure but you can't get your shipping back I haven't recieved any items and today is the third day sad to say they lie about there shipping times and you pay and don't get money back if it comes in a week so basically I have to go without my car another week since I have to wait for their parts since if I cancel I will loose half of what I originally spent which is bullsh*t
I normally don't write reviews, but this needs to be said.
I own an auto repair shop and have done some business with parts geek in the past, I ordered a part for a customer's car that was clearly listed as the correct part for their car, My customer had gone away on vacation and then came back and got COVID so I couldn't get their car into the shop to verify the part or install it for a while, as it turns out, they're listing is incorrect. The part does not fit my customer's car and because it was just past 30 days they won't take it back. I can understand the 30-day return policy but on a part that's misrepresented and clearly doesn't fit the car it's listed to fit which was verified by a phone call to their sales team. I believe they should have taken the part back and because they didn't they lost a customer for life on one part that wasn't even a lot of money.
Horrible customer service and a sad display of poor business practice.
I think a negative five-star review is fitting for parts geek
I ordered a part from them. I paid 15.99 for shipping here. I ended up not needing the part. Now I am told I have to pay 30.00 to ship it back to them ridiculous. Never will I buy ANYTHING FROM THEM!
Answer: Because they're unprofessional, unethical, communist fuckin jackasses!
Answer: Parts geek had the rudest and most infuriating customer service I've encountered ever.
Answer: You'll pay plenty for shipping and if they give you the wrong part, you'll pay to ship it back. It's in their terms. You pay shipping both ways, regardless of fault.
Answer: Because they are either crooks, or they have some nut in the warehouse grabbing whatever and sending it to you even if it's wrong wrong wrong!
