I ordered two tailgate pull down motors. One arrived without the mounting plates. Partsgeek is not willing to send the plates or refund my money.
I ordered a $50 bed rail cover part to my F150 truck. Paid $20 shipping. $70 total. They sent me the totally wrong. When I say wrong, they sent me a bumper to a dodge pickup. When I contacted them they admitted that it was their fault, but that I needed to pay the return shipping. The shipping back to them cost me $40 because it was large and heavy and I don't get the discount shipping prices they do. WHICH I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKE. Then I contacted them when they received their part back and was told I needed to pay the shipping again to get my correct part. I PAID $70 FOR THE PART AND FOR THE SHIPPING OF MY PART, THEY MESSED UP AND I HAD TO PAY AOTHER $60 TO GET MY PART I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR! They take no responsibility for their mistakes.
Ordered an accelerator pedal assembly for a Mercedes E-350, they sent me an oxygen sensor for a Ford Mustang. First and last order with them.
So getting ready to move to Montana for me and my wife's dream jobs wife's wheel bearings are sounding kind of bad so I ordered two hub assemblies I take it to the shop and when the mechanic shows me the new part on it had more slop than the old part did the tire moved over a half inch so I called and told them my situation letting them know I needed to leave by Saturday they pretty much told me to get screwed. They would not give me a refund until I got my old parts off course I had to pay my mechanic $300 extra to put on the new part so I told them they need to send me the new part and then I can send them the old part because the other one was too bad to put back on and they did absolutely nothing to help me they just try to blow smoke up my butt and tell me to hold on every 10 minutes to see what they could do and basically told me just to return it and they would finally give me my money back in 14 days at this point I don't know how the hell I'm going to get to Montana and it looks like I'm going to lose my job and my wife as well they did not care one bit on how bad this affected me in my life they refused to ship it to me faster they refuse to do anything that would actually help me I will never do business with these pieces of crap again.
Total scam. This company said they refunded and did not. Blamed Ebay. Total scammers selling defective parts
Absolutely horrible company will not refund your money. FedEx lost. Kept making excuses. Don't trust this company.
They sent the wrong part and refuse to refund my money. I will never buy from them again! Sorry company with sorry refund policy.
I ordered part and it came in wrong. They want me to pay for return shipping and won't refund original shipping on their mistake.
Bought an a/c pump for my work van, 96 E250 and the thing squealed like a pig. Complete junk, claiming as a new product. All set.
A USPS tracking number was provided and the tracking showed the package never shipped. No phone or email contact is possible
Part doesn't even fit my car and they will not reimbursement for the shipping when I return the product. I called up to ask about this and they immediately hung up on me. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Order product that said pkg quantity 2. They only sent 1. Would not just send another they wanted me to pay for shipping to return their mistake.
It is easy to take one's money. The real test of good customer service is how they deal with problems that arise in the delivery, packaging, and claims process. My understanding of how Partsgeek works is that they are a third-party intermediary, meaning they have supposedly built networks with various part suppliers to get you -the customer- the parts you are seeking, much like how Amazon works. PartsGeeks holds no parts themselves. A one-stop parts search site. Anyhow, so I ordered parts without any issues. Then when all parts except one come in, I now must test their claims/help desk. First problem - Their Ticket System is always down, though it will say, "The ticket system is down for maintenance. It will be back up at 9:00 am EST. (excluding Sunday)."
Then reading their customer help library, I note that they accept no responsibility for lost or damaged packages. Issues must be addressed with the shipper. In my case - UPS. So, while UPS is doing their claims investigation, I proceed to use PartsGeeks Manage My Order feature which allows one to do such things like return a core, re-order, review product, or a general return. I click the general return button and it has a selection for reasons why one is returning. I select "I didn't receive part". That's it. Nothing else, no response from PartsGeek. Then, after my vehicle project is done, I have parts I ordered that I don't need so I return them and PartsGeek gives me two different RMA numbers for the same part within two to three days. I already sent the parts under the first RMA given and I have yet to see any refund/credit. I will have to call their 800 number because their ticket system is always down. Now, I will give PartsGeek credit for giving my core credit on cores returned; though, out of the four cores returned, I only received credit for three. Personally, I will never use PartsGeek again, just because of the quality of their customer service.
I was refuse to buy a part and pay to ship it back. Parts geek customer service is horrible and inconsiderate for customers.
I ordered control arms for my 98 Chevy 3500, I searched for the item on their site and the ones I ordered showed up as a direct fit. When they arrived the control arms were 4 inches to small width wise and 3 inches too long length wise. Also in 98 Chevy 2500's and 3500's had torsion bars that slide into a hole in the lower control arms, the control arms that I received were set up for springs which were not an option in 98 for the heavy gvwr models.
I called to return the part and spoke with "John" who told me on the phone numerous times that when he went into partsgeek.com and put in my truck information a different part # showed up and that I would have to pay to have them shipped back since it was user error. I had already paid $50+ to have them 2 day shipped despite that fact that it still took a week and a half to arrive so I did not agree with this. I asked to speak with a supervisor. "John" put me on hold and then came back on the phone pretending to be someone else, the "supervisor". When I said you are the exact same person that I was just speaking with the background exploded with laughter and this person hung up on me.
I called back and immediately asked to speak with a supervisor. I was forwarded to "Adam". I started off by telling him what happened on the previous call, I said I don't know what kind of operation you are running over there but that is very unprofessional. Adam replied "You want to know what kind of operation we are running over here? We have been in business for 14 years, ship out over 10,000 parts per year, and have an international customer base. Good day sir" and hung up on me as well!
This company is very unprofessional and is run by a bunch of rude child acting employees. Paid extra for fast shipping arrived slower than ground service from any other company, wrong part delivered, will not back up their mistakes, rude employees across the board. Avoid at all costs
I've called in 4 time and get 4 different answers on what the hold u is. Been 4 weeks and still no refund! Will never use them again!
Thank you so much for sending the blinker switch! My husband was able to replace it & it came to us very quickly! Great work guys!
I'm not sure how the part I ordered was, because I never opened the box.
$9.97 Shipping to me $57.75 to Return. That's despicable!
Answer: Because they're unprofessional, unethical, communist fuckin jackasses!
Answer: Parts geek had the rudest and most infuriating customer service I've encountered ever.
Answer: You'll pay plenty for shipping and if they give you the wrong part, you'll pay to ship it back. It's in their terms. You pay shipping both ways, regardless of fault.
Answer: Because they are either crooks, or they have some nut in the warehouse grabbing whatever and sending it to you even if it's wrong wrong wrong!
