I purchased a front bumper cover online and waited 2 weeks for it to arrive via over-sized freight. Prior to this, the company sent a few follow-up e-mails. One warned to check the condition of the merchandise. Nothing directed or forewarned me about their protocol regarding mistakes their warehouses make when pulling and shipping parts. The bumper did not remotely match the model or style I purchased so I contacted the company to seek redress. That's when I discovered that the company expected me to re-ship the item at my expense. I took it to UPS and the shipping cost far-exceeded the original purchase price ($332+). I feel scammed. Afterwards I contacted the company via e-mail and by phone and they were not willing to fairly and sensibly resolve the issue. I researched them thru the BBB and discovered a host of similar complaint lodged by consumers. Most companies provide a shipping label when they make mistakes as a matter of proper business practice. I feel that this problem should be pursued via class-action injunctive relief to protect the American consumer from losing hard-earned money and alert them to these hidden disclaimers. Had I immediately seen one during the check-out process I would've been reluctant to gamble with my money and spent it elsewhere. Incidentally, they claim to cover the cost of shipping returned items if orders are made thru their customer service representatives when the company makes these kinds of mistakes... not sure why someone choosing to expeditiously order parts online are discriminated against or treated any differently. It adds insult to injury which contravenes customer retention goals."
Purchased brake pads and rotors for my wife's Lexus IS250. They send the wrong pads and refuse to take them back.
My 2009 Saturn had some issues with the rotors and decided to upgrade them to a full set from parts geek. Way back when I used parts geek for my Silverado with no issues. Compared to before they seem to have gone wholesale and their actual address on the site isn't fully shown and call center customer service is overseas and unhelpful. Ordered a rotor and brake pad front end set for my Saturn for 73$ Shipped which was a great deal. Only to my frustration it arrived a week later box damaged and opened, packaging missing or sparse and the rotors were both different sizes and brake pads had a junior mint candy glued to my open brake pad box which all led back to parts geek shipping department. It came from Georgia instead of their headquarters making me believe they outsourced distributions to send projects out. Called them turns out it's an overseas customer service line compared to years ago and the person spoke no English I and said I need to replace the 1 they sent wrong and why everything looked used. They rudely said we can't return anything unless you return everything and then wait 3-5 buisness days for a refund processed then re order, and by then it would be 2 weeks out. My Saturn was on the block and couldn't move without the new rotors. They sent one correctly, so I used it so I could use my car, then I boxed the one they sent wrong along with the candy covered nasty brake pad box and sent it back with a note saying I was nice before but not anyone and demand a refund. If I don't get my refund because parts geek horribly screwed up they will be hearing from a bank financial institution demanding my refund. Don't use parts geek at all save up shop local.
I ordered a cv axle for right front honda accord lx it asked me the year make and model and what size engine it never asked for a manual or automatic transmission so I got the part mechanic didn't realize it wasn't the correct axle and had to take it out and go to advance and get the right one and on there return policy the shipping would be about the same as what I paid for the part so if I return it I would gain my return but then have lost it due to shipping policy everyone please read very carefully before you purchase from them online I will go locally so i can exchange if its not right or if its broken either way this company is making major profit on all returns I will never recommend anyone to order form this site you should honor the shipping and the product especially if we had to cover the shipping for it to come I have never seen a company make the customer be responsible to pay to send it back in the long run i spent more trying to get it cheaper when if i had went locally it would have just been my time wasted not money
Chinese parts junk. The page tells you it's a new part new part but very poor quality. It is like putting the old part back in just cleaner.
Horrible customer service, the worst I have ever had the misfortune of encountering. I ordered a EVAP canister solenoid for my car, It has two male house connections coming from it. When I got the part in the mail, some idiot who sent it did not properly secure it inside the manufacturer's box, they just put bubble wrap around the small box, inside the bigger box. Since there was nothing inside the smaller box to keep the part from moving around, it obviously was getting shaken around during the long voyage from CA to WA. Something I figured should not have happened just based on the amount of items that this place has shipped being an internet parts dealer. So obviously I was mad when I received my broken part. Then to make matters worse, this place does not have a customer service telephone number. Instead you're supposed to go to their website and fill out a "ticket" which is sent via email. What a joke! I looked for hours for contact info. But i was unsuccessful, instead I just found a bunch of reviews from people with the same problem (no contact phone number). They emailed me a return shipping label, which was courteous but did not change my exasperation. I sent the part back hoping that they would just return a new part to me because it was a good price, but instead they sent me a brief email after ignoring my request several times to be contacted by phone, that stated that they cannot issue exchanges or replacements, it said to reorder. Hahaha like that's going to happen! These people are ridiculous and have no regard for customer satisfaction. I will never buy anything from them again. What a hassle. Two weeks, still no part and waiting for my money to be put back on my card. I thought I was getting a good deal, but I was really getting a big head ache. Don't buy anything from partsgeek!
Other sites gave up fast. Nicholas at partsgeek was amazing above and beyond only PartsGeek because of him
thanks Nicholas
Garbage company. Will not be ordering from them again. Sent the wrong color and model for side mirror. Again garbage
Ordered. A 4 seasons parts and got a standard motor part some of the parts were made in China I do not use anything from China bad parts
Does not have a good return policy and you have to pay for your own shipping back to them! Then they only refund you part of your money!
Absolutely do not buy from these people. If your here, you see the reviews. Will not work with you to fix any issue at all. Avoid avoid avoid...
Ordered part 06/27/20... still has not been shipped as of 07/02/20, said it was shipped 06/27/20 USPS says not mailed yet! Sorry damn company!
Ordered my parts but didn't get them for a month that is just slow I have ordered more parts hope they get here faster
When parts are needed they should ship with a reliable service rather than waiting a month for parts
Words cannot describe the hideous, vulgar attitude of this company toward its customers. I didn't know that companies like this still existed in America. Maybe only in New Jersey. They have a BBB rating of "F". They don't have a phone number for customer service and the only way you can reach them is via a cumbersome and slow online 'ticket.' You can't change an order. You can't cancel an order. The written correspondence you get from them, in response to your 'ticket', is bizarre - often unrelated to the nature of your issues, written in fractured bits of sentences, impolite, rude, hopeless. And, if you have a shipping address that includes an apartment number or other details, those details will not be included in the shipping address that UPS or USPS gets. That results in undelivered packages, or extensive delays. They often designate a UPS package as "no address changes allowed," which means if you call UPS about an undelivered package and provide your apartment number or other important address detail that is missing and has made delivery impossible, UPS won't add that to the delivery address because Parts Geek has disallowed it. Why? Just to be dirty and mean. The only way to resolve the issue is a 'ticket', since you can't reach these people by phone. That takes time and if it's Friday afternoon you'll be waiting well into the following week to get a reply. If you are able to receive some merchandise from them it will probably look like it was dragged behind the UPS truck for a few hundred miles. Want to complain? You can't! At Parts Geek the customer is always wrong! Any dollars you might save by ordering from this hellish place will never be worth the risk. Hopefully this company will soon collapse into its own cesspool and management will truly get to enjoy the 'fruits' of their labors.
Was told would receive by certain date. Not even shipped. Called and they said would receive. Lie. Never again
Purchased wheel bearing on April 16 product failed returned product in September have not received refund for defective product!
I'm still waiting for my refund... terrible customer service... I've called either rude customer service or been on hold
Answer: Because they're unprofessional, unethical, communist fuckin jackasses!
Answer: Parts geek had the rudest and most infuriating customer service I've encountered ever.
Answer: You'll pay plenty for shipping and if they give you the wrong part, you'll pay to ship it back. It's in their terms. You pay shipping both ways, regardless of fault.
Answer: Because they are either crooks, or they have some nut in the warehouse grabbing whatever and sending it to you even if it's wrong wrong wrong!
