I have to say that I've used PayPal now consistently for about 15 months steady receiving gig money anywhere from 10 cents to hundreds and not one time have I had a big problem. I receive payments from some overseas companies and the pay in pounds. The funny part is you see your bal and it says in my currency $5 but by closer inspection it's 1 us dollar and the rest Iin lbs so it has to be converted and no problem or hesitation PayPal converted it to us currency! All this for a fee of 0. Now that's truly awesome! The PayPal for paying it forward in a place that was needed!
PayPal is a vital tool for me so I'm thankful for it. However, the design and security tinkering over the last two years has given no improvements at all. Firstly the new telephone alert simply to log is happening every day. It's simply too much. Then the design overhaul seems to come from a department that's making changes that are not well thought out. When I want to check last year's payments I have to shrink the screen of my 14'' lap top down to 68pc simply to allow it to function.
Condescending "customer service" If you have any kind of dispute plan on waiting for months and then maybe get your money back. Be sure to have funding from a real company like American Express so you can get your money back.
I paid a service through paypal. I didn't get what i received which promised by the merchant and due date. Contacted paypal for help and sent my proofs to them. They did not look at the details of my case and decided to resolve the case in favor the merchant. If you think pay through paypal is safe, no, it's not. They don't take your complaint seriously.
I set up my Pay Pal account about 12 years ago and NEVER been able to use it. I tried to add a bank card and I got a message saying contact them, but I can't because there's no phone number and their pathetic message system is automated so you can never resolve issues - hence 12 years of trying! I really don't know why it is still operating. I cannot even change my primary address and I moved from it 9 years ago! Disgusting customer service. This company is just atrocious. A bunch of robots. So horrible. They dont listen to the customers at all. Its some goofy way of doing business there. Archaic. They let the computers run the show. If the stupid computer says something that compromises a customer to get into their acct. So be it. They have no way to get around it? So dumb. Try talking to them. Forget it. They all are robots. Walking sheep. Like the computer knows more than a human being? They cant override anything? Whos running this company anyway? Kids? Mature smart business people dont do things like this. They offend their customers with no regard to it. They make customers mad as? And still they continue on with their own crazy methods. They need to go. Now i know why all of my friends hate paypal and wont use them. Disgusting.
I bought a car battery at Autozone, returned the core and received a Paypal approved receipt for $23.32. That normally goes right back into your bank account, right? Not at Paypal. I have explained the no refund and sent them a copy of the receipt. They deny my refund. I don't know about you. I'm done with Palpal.
What a nightmare their customer care has been, I had to open a dispute 3 times despite evidence of the vendor making a mistake and stating a refund was needed. The last lady started yelling at me and talking over me. She then put me on hold for 1hr30 minutes to speak to her supervisor which she then just hung up the phone.
I am making sure all of my friends and family know how horrific our ongoing experience has been. Do not go through PayPal unless you want to suffer consequences. They are terrible and I will never ever use them again. We are also making sure our family and friends are aware of how much of a nightmare working with PayPal has been
PayPal is awesome. Got my money back from horrid sammydress via their conflict resolution centre in a very short time frame. It's a wonderful service especially when dealing with unscrupulous people. Thanks a million PayPal!
My friend is being harassed and stalked, through PayPal only now, she's deleted her entire account but still getting emails of money transfers and money requested from the stalker. We've emailed to have something done about it and customer service have gone "oh well" when an account has been deactivated, entirely, all contact should end, no-one should be able to send nor request money as theirs no account to be linked to it.
Paypal just limited my account again! They had this coming, I sell on ebay and I even have only 100% positive feedback, my customers love me but yet yesterday my account was limited because "A customer complained that they did not receive their item". I called and told them that all of my customers had already left positive feedback, they told me that they would look into it.
I don't get PayPal, I mean they are cool sometimes because it is easy to get paid through them but they give you headaches! This is the third time they are blocking my account for no just reason. The last time, they foolishly charged my bank account twice for an eBay fee that I had already paid. They make too much mistakes for a company that handles people's money.
I strongly believe there in customer service department of PayPal no human being is working, actually. They are repeating bots and programmed with Commodore 64 (which was a great machine in its time but not enough to compete today´s technology obviously) or equal computer. On telephone you cannot get any real help. I had a refund which is not returned first for weeks, then returned partially. One part went into my bank account, other is not there. Nothing. I tried to email them 3 times. 2 times I got the same answer, they say I will get a refund in 5 days to my bank account and to my PayPal Balance if I paid with PayPal Balance. However, the very core of the problem is something other. No real human is working there to help. By telephone, it´s impossible to reach anybody and all you can hear and do is repeating tapes itselves. Not real customer service. Very slow in refunds and very very high fees.
As with many other buyers here, I was scammed by a Chinese seller that uses a misleading website domain. You buy thinking that the seller is based in your country when actually they are in China. Closed my PayPal account because the dispute resolution only supports the dishonest scammers.
I was on the phone with them for 3 days trying to get money sent. One representative assured me the issues were fixed, only to find out that they were not. I spoke to 9 representatives in one day, was on hold from 9:48 am to 6 pm. It was an emergency situation and they refused to fix, even though they even sent a verification code by phone. I finally had the sender withdraw the money, send cashapp, which I received on mere minutes.
Avoid PayPal like the plague. There's a reason they've had nearly 3,000 complaints in the past year. I'll never use them again.
Paypal puts a 21 day hold on receiving a payment when running a small business!

Terrible, slow response, the two non-authorized transactions were initially denied, w/o any explanations why. Had to file again as not delivered items and finally after several weeks I received a full refund. If that would be all I would give them 3 stars. However, few days ago I saw again one request (when I logged in my account) for a payment of $699. I immediately stated that the request is not authorized and still am awaiting results of my claim. Luckily that charge was not paid yet from my bank account. I tried to delete my account but was not allowed since I disputed that new request for the payment. Thus onky one star. As soon, hopefully, that request is find a fraudulent I am closing my account with PayPal.
So struggling after loss of job, computer hacking, and identity theft. Of course my credit was almost perfect now 500. My identity theft person's name was on my account the other day when I wanted to get it out of collections. I called PayPal right away to make sure this person wasn't stealing more money also to see if he changed the name and address on my account. She didn't care at all what I've been through all she kept asking me over and over was do you have a confirmation # for your payment? I said ok so that's all this phone call is about? You want me to prove I paid my bill? What ignorance. I realize all you care about is your $80 but come on have a little compassion no job computer hacking identity theft on March 28 still not recovered. Thanks for being part of my nightmare with contacting the credit bureaus. My almost perfect credit now 500. Non of you will understand until it happens to you. Thanks for all your support!
I would really request not to use this as money transfer as their are lot other company who has good services. They just hold your amount for 21 days even for the digital service. A customer service girl naming "Kalyani" committed that i need to get an email confirmation from my client to get the money in my account and once i get the email and shared with them they will transfer the amount in 48 hour. I have done that to get the amount, once i have shared the same girl said that they will now need 3 - 8 working days to investigate and than release the amount. So they just hold your money for no reason. Their policy also says that anything which is good related it would mostly take 21 days to release the payment but for digital service they will release it in 24 hours which is just like making the customer fool. They even charge a lost as well as they use your money for a month...please never use PayPal.
So much for them helping with a refund. They forgot to mention when demanding that i return an item that's not fit for purpose and is broken that if you have to return anything that you as the wronged party have to foot the return postage costs. How is that in anyway fair?!? Protecting you from dodgy sellers, yeah right!
Have lost over 400.00 using Pay Pal for bad transactions with E Bay and International Cupid. All 3 times promised refunds over the phone because the evidence was there and later ruled for the Seller or business. They can't be trusted because they tell you one thing and do the opposite. Use Pay Pal at your own risk with E Bay sellers that you've done business with many times or have high feedback ratings. Do not use Pay Pal for any merchants outside E Bay this is high risk.

I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
