ATTENTION! Everyone please read this review!ATTENTION WARING PayPal is no more then a scammers website and fraud with a familiar name
When talking to them, all they are interested in is getting ur banking info and personal identification drivers license ect. I've had one of them flat out amit it to me they
Have put a "hold "on one of my purchases and wants my photo ID to release it when my account shows no purchases at all so what kind of gong show is this, it was a 281.37 oder so I don't understand why in the world they would need this, ps I only gave 1 star because I had to give something to leave this
The service is quite ok. Has some problems like delays on funds dropping to account, but in general its a convenient thing to trade with all over the world.
Had the worst experience with PayPal, order items 5 months ago as a guest account,
No delivery date from the seller for 6 weeks,
Kept chasing seller and PayPal without any help,
Send dispute through PayPal site and through my Credit Card company,
PayPal now says that as you have sent dispute through Credit Card they cannot support any more
So PayPal's claim that they provide 180 days guarantee is all fake...
Till today neither item has arrived nor I got my money back...
It was a chair, I bought another chair from the local market in Sep 2020 after 6 weeks of waiting for the delivery date from PayPal.
Apparently PayPal is condoning ppl that use PayPal to steal from out ppl. PayPal was used to steal money by some $#*! out of California by using PayPal. When PayPal was contacted they stated it was not their problem.
Terrible. Another frozen account here, money gone and no help from Paypal! Stay away from them or risk losing your money. Paypal should be shut down already for how many people they've done this too.
JUST TERRIBLE. WATCH THEY DON'T FREEZE YOUR ACCOUNT AND KEEP YOUR MONEY. STAFF IS HELPLESS, NEED TO LEARN CUSTOMER SERVICE. PAYPAL IS THE REASON I AVOID EBAY. RATHER USE ANY OTHER PAYMENT SYSTEM THAN PAYPAL.
I have been using PayPal for nearly a decade now. During that time I have sent money, received money, requested money, sent invoices, created subscription and buy now buttons as well as used other features. I find the site/services easy to use. I most often use PayPal to pay for items online, send friends or family money if they need it fast, track payments (work and online sales related), send invoices, and manage disputes. There are two things that I didn't like: (1.) if there's an issue with your account they can and will freeze it holding all of your money until the issue is resolved (while this has not happened to me I've seen it happen and that's scary) ----> (2.) They required me to provide my social security number in order to withdraw more than $500/month of my own money; I felt that was rather ridiculous considering they make money on everything. But given the sheer amount of people that use their service and that they have to cover their own asses I figure it was inevitable. Overall I'm satisfied with what I can do and how the site/services run.
Why does PayPal represent companies like Rose Wholesale which has a 48% rating and is a total fraudulent company
I do not understand why they would not stop supporting this Korean company from ripping people off all over the world
I have been using PayPal in Calif for purchases in the world for 19 years. I spend a lot of time in Brazil, But I am a US citizen and my accounts are in the US. I was sending a large amount of money from an inheritance to my Daughter and Son-in-law and PayPal stopped the transaction, closed my account and are holding the money for 180 days. It has been 15 days since they did this and I have no explanation from them yet. As far as I am concerned this is fraud.
I run a medium size ebay business - around $35,000 in sales a month. Paypal found an issue where they said I was non- compliant and my account would be disabled if I did not resolve the issue in about 10 days. I immediately resolved the issue, which takes 72 hours for them to review. 5 business days later, I received the exact same message about non-compliance. I call Paypal and an employee confirms, "it looks like they didn't review the issue, it looks like they assumed you had not fixed the issue yet, I'll submit it for review again which can take up to 72 hours". By the way, nobody will even look at the issue over the long weekend. 5 days later, my Paypal account is turned off. Can't accept payments, withdraw money, anything. I'm literally losing thousands of dollars a day - I call PayPal and they assure me there is nothing they can do, the department that actually addresses issues does not accept calls. I will just have to wait another 72 hours for them to review the issue AGAIN - And now I know their 72 hours is a standard five business days or more - so I guess I'll just take the week off work without pay.
Paypal customer service has been some of the slowest and most incompetent I have ever witnessed. I am immediately looking for payment alternatives. Avoid Paypal if at all possible, they can shut down your business at a moments notice.
As a buyer, despite all the bumf written by Paypal, it offers you ZERO protection, and complaints ALWAYS goes against the filer.
As a seller it is very expensive with a sizable chunk removed for their "fees"
Their customer service is almost non existent.
I should be getting my money back after wrong product was sent but I am out $60 for return shipping. My credit card company would have done the same without the horrible customer service.
I would still recommend Paypal. Although there are times when questions are answered after a little over a day. =( Still, one of the best way for businesses like me to get paid easily.
As a buyer, when somebody rips you off it's not very helpful. All they do is refer you to the disputes or claims but nobody is held accountable for money the seller just keeps!
I can't wait until ebay changes to managed payments and gets rid of paypal. Paypal is the worst. Hold time is forever. Cust service can not answer questions or gives you the wrong information.
Hello everyone. Before thinking of using PayPal to sell one of your items(even worse if it is a digital product, like art, you MUST know that they will HOLD your money even after you delivered product and confirmed it's delivery(some complain about holding their money for more than 21 days!). This can also help SCAMMERS(you delivered the product - being a virtual item, so you won't be able to make "proof of delivery". In the meantime, the buyer(scammer) will ask for a refund to paypal, you will LOSE your money and your SOLD product! I will never use this company again.
AVOID THEM IF POSSIBLE!
Useless way of online purchasing. They do not help you in case of dispute and much worser than that they keep your money when you get a refund! Their communication policy is below zero.
In reading all of the reviews on here it is easy to think that I would have been one of the people saying how great Paypal was, too. Until 2 weeks ago, that is. I have a very common surname and apparently someone in the same town also has the same name as me (odds are pretty good - like Bill Smith being in Tallahassee Florida, do you think there is only one?). This person has a negative balance on their account and Paypal's "automated matching algorithm" magically determined that this person and I are one in the same, even though the day before this happened I made a significant charitable contribution through my REAL Paypal account and it was paid promptly by my credit card. I have spent countless hours on the phone with them trying to get this resolved and have gotten nowhere. I have even contacted the Better Business Bureau (my case is still pending). I have literally gotten a different answer from each of the 9 people I have spoken to, but not one of them has helped me at all. So my account has been closed until I pay the money that this other person owes. Think Paypal is wonderful and this could never happen to you? Don't be so sure.
After trying different option to process my credit card sales, I came to the conclusion that PayPal has no rights and no reason to ask such privileged information. (as listed above)
If PayPal get hacked there could be some serious consequences on my business. Any scammer would be able to get large business loans because they would have absolutely all the information needed. PayPal was hired to process credit card payments and make sure it get in my bank account. I don't plan to give them any information other than my business number and my bank account number.
I since used both Square and Stripe to replace PayPal. They have work fine for me so far. There is many PayPal alternatives out there, so why give all this very sensitive information, take chances that one day they will be hacked (just a matter of time right?) and have to deal with all the risks and troubles this could cause. It's actually a little suspicious from their part. I have absolutely no regrets and don't miss Paypal what so ever.
I've been with PayPal since 2003. Always used them to process my credit card sales. All linked to my bank account as a verified seller. Over the past 16 years we have processed thousands of sales without issues. We are an honest business.
Lately I received an email stating that my account was suspended and I needed to provide a whole bunch of proofs about my business.
Paypal is a credit card processor, not a bank or government agency. The money in the PP account is not covered by CDIC. Their job is to process the credit card payment and put the money in my bank account. I feel that the information requested is none of their business. These are the information requested:
Business
Add business contact information
Proof of business registration
Officer declaration
Beneficial owner declaration
Director declaration
Identify third-party agent
Beneficial owner
Add beneficial owner
Officer
Officer information
Account
Purpose of your account
Really? Way to much sensitive information. Who would have access to this?
So, I open credit card processing account with Square and an other one with Stripe. I already processed payments in both USD and CAD. No need to give any deep business or personal information.
In conclusion I think with so many PP alternatives available there is no reasons to provide such important info to simply process credit card payments. Rather than closing it, I decided to let my Paypal account dormant. Good night PayPal... see you again in 10 years?
Purchased 2 items via PayPal and Returned 2 items to retailer and can't get my money back. WORST/NON EXISTENT customer service on the planet. Never will answer their customer service help line, all automated, messaging service a convoluted Joke. DONT USE PAY-EVIL-PAL. Cancel your account, if you can.
Answer: I would not recommend PayPal to anyone for anything they're a joke of a business
Answer: Paypal will NOT be on your side if the item is not as described. I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
Answer: They have become a money laundry scamming allowing company. Stay away at any cost.
Answer: USPS delievered it to the wrong address my pacakge was supposed to be delievered too 35710 Bay Morgan Ln, Fallbrook, CA 92028 when USPS delivered it to an address simillar to this one 12354 Alcatal Street (do not know the exact address since they did not email me, but you can call USPS and ask, and that is how I found out) Fallbrook, CA 92028, right city and zip code, far away address.
Answer: I'm thinking someone has to work there, if you send messages you will get a canned reply, I get the same response from 10 messages, basically "suck it up buttercup, you have just been played" but if you try to actually talk to a person good luck.
Answer: They dont. They wait for you to forget it. You get money back if you fill in a form after 180 days.
Answer: Do never send money to PayPal. That money is lost. This company has become a Giants money laundry company.
Answer: No there is not. PayPal protects scammers. Be sure to never use them.
Answer: It doesn't matter if you report them or not PayPal won't do nothing about it they continued to let the scammers operate on their site and do not protect consumers
Answer: SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THAT LOT, THEY CLAIM TO REFUND AMOUNTS PAID FOR ITEMS THAT DO NOT ARRIVE THATS "BS" I HAVE HAD 3 SUCH CLAIMS FROM 14 TRANSACTIONS AND HAVE NEVER GOT A REFUND DESPITE THEIR CLAIMS, THEY ARE CROOKS, FULL STOP, KEEP WELL CLEAR OF THEM.
