Be aware of false advertisement Poshmark allows. I bought pajama showing both top and pants on the picture and I only received the top. Poshmark is not helping me with this issue. They won't allow me to return it and get money back. I totally overpaid for a used piece of pajama top.

This site doesn't seem to benefit buyers very much. As a buyer I took the plunge and bought a necklace. Poshmark processed my payment and I waited for the seller to ship. As I waited and waited, I reached out to the seller via a comment on the item and asked her to ship the item. Finally she did. Necklace was okay- no complaints except that the seller shipped much later than promised and I had no recourse regarding this.

Second item was a pearl necklace. Seller seemed legit with a variety of items. No reason to suspect they were fakes. After I bought them the seller listed about a dozen fake pearl necklaces described as genuine, lake grown pearls. I knew then my item was probably fake but wanted to give the seller the benefit of the doubt. The pearls arrived and they were plastic.

Poshmark agreed to refund my money once the seller received the pearls back. I used the mailing label Poshmark sent me. Today I learned the pearls have been delivered back to the seller and the tracking number proves that. But... no refund from Poshmark or any acknowledgement that the item has been returned.

Later today I was thrilled when a seller countered an offer I made with a higher counter offer. This gave me the chance to avoid another purchase from Poshmark since I am better educated on how their purchase and return process gives me no protection. I declined the counter offer with relief and also disbelief. The seller had the item listed for over a year with no takers and I offered them 80%. They wanted 90%. They can let it set another year or two and maybe they will realize that only suckers buy on Poshmark, and may regret that they didn't clinch the deal with this sucker before she got wise. They are never going to sell that item so I hope they use it and get some enjoyment out of it.

I bought a Louis Vuitton purse on poshmark. The seller did not disclose that the handle was very worn. By the time the bag got to me the loop around the D hook had broken completely at the seam. I emailed poshmark and they quickly responded that they would send me a label to send the bag back and then refund me. After speaking with the seller, the seller agreed to pay for the repair for the bag which I was ok with. I took it to a local leather repair shop and they stated they could tack the strap and the charge would be $75. The seller agreed to send me the $75 and asked that I accept the bag as is so the funds could be released. I emailed poshmark and they released the funds. Within moments of poshmark notifying me that the funds were released, the leather shop called me and said the entire strap is dry rotted bc every time they put the leather needle in the strap is falls apart. I communicated this back to the seller and she said just to send the bag back bc she was not willing to replace the strap which would cost $375 though LV. I was also not willing to eat that cost bc I paid $900 plus tax for the bag. Today is Wednesday. I have emailed poshmark no less than 7 times since Sunday morning at 730 am. They have yet to respond. The seller and myself had a conversation chat going within the poshmark app that I added a poshmark representative to and they told me to email poshmark. Of course I have already done that multiple times with no response. The seller says they don't know how to send the money back and now the seller won't respond to me within the poshmark app. Now I am out almost $1000 for a purse that can't be used bc the strap is dry rotted and falling apart.

I'm new to this whole poshmark site, and thus far i've ordered 3 things. Sadly, my third purchase was $169.95 for a watch that was advertised as new, never worn, no scratches. The photos that were uploaded were very strategically taken to make the item look as new as possible. I was so adamant to find out the condition of the item so i questioned the seller about the bracelet of the watch and she confirmed that it was new and never worn. On receiving this watch in the mail, IT WAS OLD, WORN, TATTERED. I had not known that i was expected to open a case 3 days after i received the item. It had been sitting at my house for a few days before i got home from vacation. I contacted poshmark customer service via email, BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE A PHONE LINE LOL, and the rep told me that they will give me $35 poshmark credit? ARE YOU KIDDING? I received a misrepresented item, that was in terrible condition and poshmark wanted to give me $35 in credit for a $169.95 purchase. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME SHOPPING HERE. EBAY SEEMS TO HAVE A WAY BETTER POLICY. ON TOP OF ALL THIS DRAMA WITH POSHMARK, THE SELLER admitted the she was selling this item for a friend, so how on earth would she be 100% sure about its condition. TERRIBLE seller, quite rude and not willing to take responsibility for misrepresenting the item or the erroneous listing. I HATE THIS COMPANY. STEER CLEAR.

My comments would take pages and bore you. And it did start well, but not end well.
My suggestion, regardless of your review, is to request PayPal send you the copy of the agreement you signed if applicable. Until I cancelled PayPal and removed as a form of payment, ( after telling me my account was compromised and they LOWERED security and dismissed my emails, I removed clothes and payment) I was unaware that I had a written signed agreement - PayPal asked if I wanted to cancel the agreement.
I immediately cancelled and asked PayPal if the agreement (as I didn't recall signing one) was between me and PayPal or me and Poshmark. Per PayPal, by checking some box as signing up with POSHMARK and checking PAYPAL that implied it was a signed agreement. As I did not read closely enough, I thought that any time a signed agreement was transacted, especially as this included a third party an email or some facsimile of the agreement would be sent to ensure I understood the terms. Fortunately, the customer service at Pay Pal informed me. My lesson to read the fine print. Hope no one else has a similar issue.

People will do anything to rip you off. Poshmark just restricts you for making a claim. You have no way of finding someone to talk to.

Tip for consumers:
You can't even get your money back without them punishing you by restricting your account and not a dime for the money you loose

BUYER BEWARE! If I could select 0 stars I would. I spent so much money on Poshmark (at least 70-100 purchases) and got ripped off a few times but I didn't make a big deal about it, kept the items and gave the seller 5 stars. A few weeks ago I reluctantly paid $90 for a sweater that looked tiny in the photos from itslove_xo but it was smartwool so I know how that brand fits and I didn't think it would be a problem. 2 weeks later I received an extremely small shrunk (wool) sweater in the mail that I couldn't even get my arms in because it was shrunk. I reached out to Poshmark immediately, sent photos and explained my case. They requested more photos which I gave them right away as they requested with the specific measurements. I added them in the case and via email. 3 days later they send me an email saying I didn't provide photos in time so they are closing my case. I sent several emails asking how they did not receive my photos in the case or via email and the reply was they didn't receive them. Unbelievable! I will never buy another item from them again. They definately do not care about the customer. All I wanted to do was return the sweater to itslove_xo and now they lost a very unhappy customer. I will be contacting California's Attorney General Rob Banta. Poshmark is located in Redwood City, CA and the Attorney General's office handles consumer complaints against business's. Normally I would not have escalated this since it's only $90 but this kind of service/support from Poshmark is unacceptable. Not to mention the fact that there are people out there that will totally rip you off and not think twice about it. Horrible

Tip for consumers:
You will get ripped off and Poshmark will not support you.

I love Poshmark! I have been selling on it for about a year now. Sales depend on many factors. You need to share your items if you want them to be viewed/purchased. It can be a bit of a hassle if you have a busy life AND want to sell some things, but if you follow and follow people, (and receive many follows & shares in return) you will not have a problem getting views on your items. It can take a bit to get there but its worth it once you get sales. I do wish they would make it easier to share items instead of doing so one by one! As for customer service, I've never had an issue. But I am in lots of FB groups for Posh, and have seen many people with issues (like people trying to scam them) but once they email posh support, it gets fixed fast and they get their funds back. They also just added a Kids & Men section, so you can now sell kids clothing and men's clothing. The only real complaint I have about it is they take 20% off each item you sell. Which is a bit high depending on the items. The shipping rate IS high, however when you make bundle purchases (purchases of 2 or more items) it makes it worth it especially with bundle discounts!

What a lot of reviewers here don't seem to understand, is that Poshmark is one big marketplace with tons of mini shops from different people. Before making a purchase, it's recommended that you look at their "love notes" (reviews). Ask questions about the items to the seller before purchasing. If one seller doesn't provide you with an order that you wanted, it's not Poshmark's fault, it's the seller's fault. If your order is taking long to ship, comment/ask the seller why it's taking so long, not posh! The majority of these reviews are people who bought 1 thing without even thinking about asking details, had an issue, and are here to blame Posh (not the seller) for what happened instead of attempting to fix the problem with the seller, or finding a seller with tons of great love notes and buying from them instead.

*******@clairelynnp143

Tip for consumers:
Always check "love notes" in the Seller's "About Me" section! These are their (positive) reviews.. if they have lots of them, it means they're a safe person to buy from!

You won't get many purchases if you don't have any followers or don't share your items!

I like the ability to find items no longer in stores,
But there are other online consignment store sites that provide accurate descriptions, timely shipping and good customer service (such as swap.com). At least 30% of the items I have purchased have not been as described to the point of being unwearable. At least a third of the sweaters have been shrunk in the wash so much the knit is now tight and sizing is off. Ski pants and fleece have come with so much pulling and fabric wear as to be unwearable. I have also bought 3 items - had Poshmark keep my money for 7 days - only to have the seller never ship the item. After 7 days you can cancel, but then you still. Have even longer to get refunded. For one seller that did this, I checked her other items listed as "sold" and found that she had her shipped 3 of the 4 sold
Items. The seller has a pattern of being unresponsive and not shipping. I contacted Poshmark support and they did nothing. The seller is still on Poshmark and still has listings. Way to support fraud Poshmark! Then, they decided to suspend my account since I had "high frequency" purchased. They shut it off without notice to me for 2 days. I tried contacting them but support is only available via an email and they are slow to respond.
Once they finally responded they asked for me to provide my credit card statement to verify billing address. What a joke! I am having all items shipped to my billing address and the same place I have lived for 6 years. Most companies pay their payment processor to do fraud prevention screening - if in doubt they work with the credit card company and credit bureaus to have you validate your identify through security questions. I am happy to validate though standard processes BUT not to send a credit card statement with all my transactions for the month. Beware!

I recently had an issue (10. 21. 15). I have been selling items from my storage unit. I sold a new without tags blazer from Jcrew to a buyer with whom I had had regular communication regarding the item.

She received the item and reported it as "not as described". Poshmark informed me that the buyer had sent pictures of as evidence of whatever was "not as described". Then when the case was closed, Poshmark informed me that the item "had an odor". How was that determined from a picture?!

All of the items I am currently selling are from my SEALED wardrobe box in an air-conditioned facility. In the past two weeks, I have sold items from said storage without any problem, I even received 2 -5 star ratings.

There is absolutely no seller protection and these ridiculous buyers get away with purchasing an item, wearing it for one day [ NOTE THE THREE DAY WAIT BEFORE THE SELLER GETS THEIR MONEY] and then returning it for a full refund! Its absolutely ridiculous.

On another occasion, there have been two, the buyer returned an item because she said it was "not as described" and then provided pictures of a torn dress! I didn't mail out a torn dress but I sure received a torn dress back which I then had to pay to get fixed and then resell on EBAY.

Poshmark protects its buyers, but its the sellers that are giving them money and we should be protected from scammers and liers!

NOTE: I have been selling items on Ebay hassle free since 2005. I have received one negative feedback in 10 years and that was because I shipped an item late.

THEY HAVE DESPICABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Allow me to explain.
I recently bought a piece of lingerie on Poshmark. The item said NWT (New With Tags) on it. When I received the item and tried it on, I was extremely disappointed to discover that the top of the cups were stretched out and gaping horribly. I filed a complaint with Poshmark under "item was not as described" sent them a picture and explained the situation. I then received an email from customer support stating "I'm sorry but we don't do refunds if it doesn't fit you or you just don't like it" I'm sorry, but what do you do refunds for? If I buy something online and it doesn't fit me, I should be able to return it, no questions asked. You obviously care nothing about your customers. Your service is a joke and it's no wonder your ratings are horrible
I started using Poshmark with every intention of buying and selling peacefully, but rest assured I will NEVER be using your services again and I will leave a negative review about you on every social platform I can find. Have a nice day.
