Be aware of false advertisement Poshmark allows. I bought pajama showing both top and pants on the picture and I only received the top. Poshmark is not helping me with this issue. They won't allow me to return it and get money back. I totally overpaid for a used piece of pajama top.

Been on for 1.5 years and had couple cases and won, one person was asked to return the item and never did. Had an issue of online bullying from a fellow posher who sells used clothing. Complained a lot to posh and felt like they did it care. They said after many emails they would investigate but doubt there will be any conclusive results. She never bought from me. Her actions lead to a group bullying incident. Beyond her childish incident from this user I have had a great experience. Sold a lot of boutique items and have repeat customers which I love because I develop good relationships with them. I would have surely rated them a five star if I was not bullied from a *******@Lavender_Lemon

Fast forward to 2022, I have been selling on Poshmark since 2017 and I am a Poshmark Ambassidor 11 which one has to complete certain tasks like selling atleast 50 items in a 3 month period and lots of shares and keep a good feedback rating. I find that Poshmark support to be super excellent and really listen to me as a seller of this status and when I say when cases arise that I do not accept a return, Poshmark closes the case in favor of me as a seller. If I am wrong I will accept a return.

As far as a bulling incident that happened in 2017, I still feel the affects of this by people I never had contact with have chosen to block me because they believe that user and oh by the way she is NOT a Poshmark Ambassidor 11 and she has only one listing. I am happy she has no more success on Poshmark.

Don't be too friendly with users on Poshmark because this can lead to problems of they asking for things you do not want to deal with. Always be professional and see your right before emotion warp your selling experience.

Tip for consumers:
My best tip is to not spam others with your sales. It does get annoying. Everyone wants to sell. The best way is to develope amazing deals and your customers will come back again and again! Also have a lot to offer. Bundling is great when there is a large mix of items to choose from. If you carry a specific size try to brand out to include other sizes too.

Products used:
I love to buy pants from Poshmark and prior to Covid the prices were super wonderful; now more greed in the selling price so that means less buying but I do believe there are a lot of sincere people wishing to sell even at a small increment of funds.

I joined Poshmark to help thin out my closet(s) and make a little money in the process. I have good experiences and after reading all the negative comments thought I would share. I've listed about 30 items, and sold about 7 making a little over $100 dollars. Everything I sell I bought through reputable retailers like Macys, Nordstrom Rack, Outlet Malls, Zulliy. I realize I am not going to make my money back even on items new with tags (NWT) and that buyers are paying shipping, so I take that into consideration when pricing. But I also know what I could reasonably expect as a tax deduction if I were to donate the item, and am not willing to go lower than that. I am also not desperate to sell and would rather re gift NWT items to friends rather then basically give them away. As for those that experienced scammers - what I have learned is to provide more info in my descriptions of items I sell, like we are a non-smoking home. If those details are important to you or you are allergic to animals - ASK! One of the beauties of the app is to ask the seller as many questions as you want in the comments section. Comments are not able to be deleted, so you can see what others have asked or if they have negotiated with the buyer for a lower price. You can also see if the seller ignores anything, is rude, or puts off some other red flag that leads you to not deal with them. The one snafu I had was I got an email saying my password had been updated, when I didn't do it. I responded to the email and they quickly locked my account and allowed me to reset my password after proving my identity. Scary to be hacked, but it was taken care of quickly and I didn't lose any money from my account.

I've bought and sold on Poshmark for years. They're the only app exactly like it's kind and in many ways they dominate online used clothes shopping. There's a lot you can only find through them and the app is very user friendly. Lately the customer service I've received as both a buyer and a seller has been a major let down, which I'll explain with two examples.

As a seller: I was taking awhile to ship an item but still in the allotted timeframe. The customer reached out and was very rude about it and I told her that I wasn't comfortable completing a sale to someone who was speaking to me the way she was and cancelled the order. She proceeded to call me names. I reported her to Poshmark, who did absolutely nothing. They didn't even respond to my message. Wouldn't be surprised if that's the first time she treated someone that way and it certainly won't be the last, as apparently there are no consequences. They are helping create an unsafe online community.

As a buyer: I purchased an item described as something with a "raw hem." I didn't realize what this meant exactly but had seen items described this way before and they seemed fine. It turns out it was a romper that was cut in half to make a shirt. I reached out to Poshmark who again did nothing and when I pressed, kicked me a $5 site credit. The item was misrepresented and they could care less. They instead told me that it was represented accurately and they couldn't help me. I've made them so much money as a buyer and a seller and it means absolutely nothing to them. They make a ton of money off loads of people, why would they care about a single custmer?

As much as I feel like I hate their customer service, I still use the site. If you're looking for something niche it might be the only place you can find it, which is the only thing that keeps me there. They have the upper hand in this department and know it. If you want to feel respected as a buyer or a seller, however, this is not the place. They are greedy and lack empathy.

I purchased an item on Poshmark, I didn't use the Poshmark App, but just the Poshmark website.
The Item I purchased and paid for, arrived fairly fast.
Upon opening the package, I realized that I didn't want the item.
The item was a ballcap, but it had Advertising printed on it, which I didn't see when I purchased it, and I wanted to Return it.
I Contacted Poshmark Support via Email (There is No Phone Number, Everything has to be Done by Email)
In order to get a Refund or to Return an item, the record of a purchase has to be located on Poshmark!
I couldn't find where I purchased the item on Poshmark!
I Contacted Customer Support about this, and after 4 days Nothing has been Done!
I submitted the Order number, the CC receipt where I paid for the item and proof of USPS delivery! Still Nothing
All I get is Useless information on how to start a Return Request, which I've Done!
I've got Emails from Poshmark claiming they can't find the Order number, that they sent Me, when I purchased the item!. I Don't know if I'll ever be able to Return this or if I'll be Stuck with It!
Buyers Beware of Poshmark!

Poshmark is an app used mostly by underage kids with no intention to buy. Returns are hard and kids will play the counterfeit card as a return excuse. When returns are granted, sellers will receive their formerly new items wadded up in a wrinkled ball inside out. Returns are always accepted if you can show a picture of a tear or stain on a garment that wasn't described in the listing. Even finding one tiny short loose thread will grant you a return As a seller Poshmark is a great app for selling large and heavy clothing items since the shipping fee covers up to 5 lb but you better have only trendy items and be willing to waste an hour a day sharing. The sharing process is probably the stupidest invention on Earth most Poshmark users have moved on to mercari You must also be ready to put up with constant kids lowballing you as Poshmark has no filtering system as a seller be prepared to put up with nitwits that will ask you to pose in the item you're selling and be willing to put up with endless trade questions and available questions nothing is more annoying than having a person ask you if the item you're selling is still available you tell them yes they never buy. They ask you that question because most of the underage sellers will list the same item on another Marketplace and sell it and forget to take it off the other Marketplace. As a plus Poshmark allows you to have multiple quantities in one listing I could go on and on but I'm going to stop it will be hard for you to make more than $700 a year on Poshmark then when you do be prepared to pay 30% of it back to the taxman it is possible to make thousands of dollars on Poshmark because I have but again you need to have very trendy items and be able to get them at a good price also it's not a good place to sell expensive items because it doesn't matter how real it is you'll be accused of it being fake if people are unhappy with the seller because they don't accept their offers they report listings and get you in trouble listings that are perfectly fine

I've been on Poshmark for ~8mos and have made 9 purchases: 4/10 were 'meh' to mediocre, 4/10 were satisfactory, and 1/10 was from probably the coolest seller that I've dealt with!

The reason though for the 1/5 rating is because for the past few weeks, I've been pelted with SPAMS from not only the e-mail account that I registered with Poshmark, but ALSO my primary account that I mistakenly used last month to log in to Poshmark! I'm now getting identical SPAMS on both e-mails almost simultaneously! I've had that primary account for OVER HALF MY LIFE without getting SPAMMED on it, and the ONLY link between this and the e-mail I use with Poshmark, is POSHMARK! This conclusively tells me that Poshmark stores every e-mail address, even non-related to login, and it tells me that either their IT dept. is incompetent or they sell member e-mail addresses!

I've now disabled my primary e-mail address, created a new one, and spent a few hours e-mailing all my family and friends my new primary address!

POSHMARK IS A JOKE! > :(

I sell on this website but never bought and don't plan to. I use Poshmark along eBay to give my listings more exposure, in order to clear my inventory faster. I gave this platform several chances in the past, but sold absolutely nothing, and only had beggars, lowballs and trade requests. I gave it a chance again, and this time, I did make sales. I give extremely accurate detailed descriptions of my items including when I got it, why I don't want it, down to measurements of it to even listing the materials.

I had all 5 star reviews up until recently where one buyer gave me 3 stars and said the item isn't a medium, despite the tag on the pants saying Medium, AND I gave waist, hip, thigh and inseam measurements. She actually had the item for three weeks before she gave me this poor rating. She also said my description was poor, but when I went on her page, NONE of her 180 listings showed ANY sort of specific details on her items.

Another buyer purchased my item without contacting me in ANY way, but gave me a 2 star review saying my communication could've been better. What? While the star reviews aren't public, it's just disturbing and annoying that people say the dumbest things with absolutely no way to counter or defend myself.

Some buyers are the worst and they are consistently spiteful. I end up having to block and decline people all day. On top of that, 20% fee commission to Poshmark is outrageous, along with $6 shipping. Neither the buyer or seller are benefiting from this!

If you don't like the price of the item, make an offer. If you're declined, then forget it. Don't buy it. If you don't like that the seller doesn't offer detailed descriptions, just don't buy it. Read all descriptions carefully and ask questions. No response from seller? Don't buy it. This advice could save so much trouble.

Once I'm done selling all my unwanted stuff, I would never use this platform again. I rather use eBay because at least people there READ descriptions before purchasing. And I have 100s of transactions on eBay with not a single neutral or negative feedback. I can't believe Poshmark allows a buyer to leave a bad rating over something that was their own fault.

I purchased a pair of WHBM skinny jeans from *******@lisalamy516 that were new with tags – about $80 after tax. Upon arrival, I immediately tried them on and found a small defect – it was fraying near the zipper. The same day, I wrote the seller, described the defect, sent pics, and requested an exchange – she never responded.

I should mention, the fraying was difficult to photograph because it was so small. And it's not something I can simply snip off, for fear of making it worse. In any case, if I was in a brick and mortar, I'd definitely choose another pair of jeans.

2 days later, I requested a refund through Poshmark and purchased another pair from another seller - I was worried about holiday shipping times and needed a pair right away. I'd also read Poshmark's return policy and felt confident the pics I sent of the defect were more than adequate *******@lisalamy516 immediately responded with several messages saying that the defect looked like a tear or mark, that the jeans weren't meant to be worn skin tight, & accused me of damaging the jeans. I reminded her that they were skinny jeans, and informed her they were no more tight on me than on the model in the posting. I also explained that the waist was actually a bit too large, but I loved them so much that I'd initially requested an exchange, which she ignored. I sent her another pic showing how the defect wasn't noticeable when the jeans were laid flat. She sent multiple messages referring to her high rating, multiple sales, and how she'd never send a defective product.

When Poshmark finally responded, they claimed that the defect didn't qualify for a return, applied a $5 credit to my account, and reminded me that I could resell it on Poshmark. The Poshmark return policy claiming full refunds if the buyer receives an item "not as described" is a lie. I know now that even if the 2nd pair is defective, Poshmark won't honor their phony return policy. And even if the 2nd pair are defect-free, I'll be permanently canceling my account. I wish I'd checked Poshmark's ratings before this purchase – I'd never purchase from them at all.

Hopefully my experience will help others avoid Poshmark and/or *******@lisalamy516

Tip for consumers:
Avoid!! Go elsewhere!! And if you do choose to take your chances, avoid seller @lisalamy516!!!

I purchased a pre-owned Lilly Pulitzer dress, size 8. It was weird when it arrived the measurements barely fit a size 2 and yet the tag said 8. I have the same dress in different patterns and on comparison, realized that the tag was wrong, the stitching was wrong, the YKK zipper looked fake. Yep I had a counterfeit on my hands. So when I filed a complaint and even offered to PAY the return shipping, Poshmark literally told me that I don't qualify for a refund because she showed a picture of the bust portion of the dress measuring 16 inches (which is a 32 inch bust and she stretched it because in reality its maybe a 30 inch bust for a size 8 dress. Right). I don't get it, this was a $55 dress, its not like they made a ton of money off it and its not like I didn't offer to just return it and move on. After voicing my concerns of it being counterfeit, Poshmark suggested I RESELL it on their site. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!? Then there's the fact that since I purchased through venmo, my bank won't touch the case and there's really no other way to resolve except with PM. And they don't have a single phone number you can reach them at. All weekend I received emails, like 8pm on a Saturday asking for a picture of the zipper, 9am on a Sunday asking for a picture of the "material tag" after I'd sent them a bunch of pics. Then radio silence. I own 30+ Lilly P dresses that I have ALWAYS purchased at stores. I know whats fake and whats not. Also, if a dress is advertised as an 8 but wouldn't fit a 00, how in the world is it my fault for not asking for complete measurements? And the stitching job... awful. The crooked size tag... Seriously this company sucks to stand behind dishonest sellers

PLEASE READ - POSHMARK DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO RETURN ITEMS PURCHASED EVEN IF IT IS A FAKE.
You are protected every time you make a purchase on Poshmark.
We will give you a full refund if your item never ships or does not match the listing description. Otherwise, all sales are final. The policies and systems we have in place to protect you are called Posh Protect.

You have 3 days after delivery to inform us if the item has been misrepresented by reporting the problem in the Poshmark app or website with supporting photos. What is covered
If any of the following pertain to your order, please report the problem in the Poshmark app or website immediately:

Undisclosed damage

Buying - They rip you off on shipping, charging you a flat rate of $6.49, no matter if items are less than 13oz & clearly ship First Class for under $2. FULL OF INIACTIVE/UNAVAILABLE ITEMS. They do not moderate their listings so Poshmark is FULL of items from sellers who are inactive, have not been active for months or even years, & do not respond to questions or comments. When you do purchase an item & it turns out to be such a seller, they hold your money for a week before finally refunding it & cancelling the purchase. Then they have the AUDACITY to mark the item as a successful sale publicly & allow the listing to continue to be visible/searchable, falsely inflating their listings & giving the appearance of high rates of successful sales.
Selling - They do not appear to offer a seller the option to charge actual shipping, do not offer high-res photos or enlargeable photos. They charge a whopping 20% of your sale (even ebay & Mercari only take 10%)
And if all that wasn't enough the App bombards your phone with a constant barrage of totally stupid & useless notifications,(stupid one-liners like "lattes are a girls best friend") for which there is no way of turning off.

I purchased a pair of boots on October 6. The seller sent me a cheap pair of shoes instead. I messaged Poshmark and the seller multiple times. No response. Poshmark does not offer phone or live chat assistance, so at this point I had no choice but to file a case with my payment issuer.

Apparently, the only way to guarantee a response from Poshmark is to file a complaint. Poshmark sent me a series of emails which scolded me for not contacting them first before filing a claim, warned me my account could be negatively impacted by filing a complaint, put a hold on my account, and informed me they would not reinstate my account until I dropped my claim.

Intimidation, plain and simple.

At no point in these emails did Poshmark promise to resolve the problem and issue a refund.

Poshmark wrongly believed I would be so terrified by no longer having access to my account that I would crumple and do anything to regain access to it. Let me set Poshmark straight: you need me, a loyal buyer of fifteen years, more than I need you. I couldn't care less if I never visit poshmark.com again. In fact, I never will.

Nor should you. They have proved they will do anything in their power (ignore, bully intimidate, cancel) rather than address a customer's valid concern.

I sent proof of the boots I ordered, the cheap shoes I received, and proof those same shoes are listed in the seller's inventory to my payment issuer. Unfortunately, you will have to do the same in order to force Poshmark to engage with you. If you have any credit or funds held in your account, make sure you remove them before filing a claim, as Poshmark will prevent you from accessing them once they receive notice of your claim.

Protect yourself.

I'm waiting on my payment issuer's decision. I am certainly not giving in to Poshmark's attempt to blackmail me (drop the claim or you'll never be able to access your account again). Absolutely atrocious.

Ask yourself if you really want to do business with a company that treats its customers with such scorn?

I know I don't.

Finally and most importantly. Poshmark's "3 Days to File a Complaint and You're Out, No Refund For You" policy does NOT APPLY to items that are incorrect, damaged or not as described. Poshmark will tell you it does, but they are lying. Consumer Protection Laws protect "purchasers of goods and services against defective products and deceptive, fraudulent business practices." Nowhere in these Federal Laws does it state you only have 3 days to file a complaint.

Tip for consumers:
If you have an issue with a purchase (incorrect item, size, description etc) save your time and contact your payment issuer immediately. The only way to get a response from Poshmark is to file a claim.

Also be aware that Poshmark's Return Policy (3 days to report an issue or no refund for you) is illegal. It does not apply to items that are incorrect, fake, not as described or broken. Consumer Protections Laws safeguard you. You have a right to a refund. No 3 day time limit.
