Be aware of false advertisement Poshmark allows. I bought pajama showing both top and pants on the picture and I only received the top. Poshmark is not helping me with this issue. They won't allow me to return it and get money back. I totally overpaid for a used piece of pajama top.

Poshmark does nothing to protect sellers. Once merchandise has been sent, it is the sellers' (dishonest) words agains the buyers who've now lost their merchandise too.

I have encountered two such sellers. They either had a case of buyer's remorse or were running a scam. Each time a case was opened, once claiming item was damaged (brand new with tag), once claiming fake (sent with certificate from store of purchase). How can poshmark judge the verity of these accusations? What is worse poshmark hides behind the screen with no live customer service staff to address tricky situations such as these. I was encouraged to offer my side of the story. An automatic response thanking me for my concern was all I got. It is irresponsible business conduct and encourages bad behavior online.

Bought a womens turtleneck shirt When received still had store tag. Store tag was T. J, Max who normaly sell defective items at a discount. For this reason I would not recommend buying from poshmark its Russian roulette.

I ordered a pair of Illesteva sunglasses pictured on Poshmark site.
The sunglasses sent are not those pictured. Following endless emails with convoluted suggestions for opening a "case" - it is now clear after reading reviews (WISH I had taken a look before using Poshmark) that I will be stuck with an item I do not want.
No accountability or quality control as found on other sites.
This has been a time consuming and frustrating scam!

I listed approximately 35 items on Poshmark. They came back stating that my items were "fake" or fraudulent. How DARE they! I spend thousands on name brand clothes and provided not only an image of the clothes but an accompanying photo of the tags. I am so furious and I challenge THEM to prove my items are fake! I am so enraged I will enlist the assistance of my brother, who is an attorney, to investigate Poshmark's practices. I give this company ZERO stars as their customer service is non-existent and their Q&A's don't answer even the most basic questions. I predict a quick demise of this company as the UX /UI experience is laughable. Don't waste your time on this poorly run company.

Tip for consumers:
Don’t do it! Save yourself a lot of aggravation and wasted time. There is NO customer service and their Q&A’s don’t answer the most simple of questions. The UX/UI interface is poor and frustrating. I predict the rapid demise of this poorly run company.

Products used:
I used no products because I wasn’t afforded the opportunity to.

Personally I wouldnt sell anything you can't afford to lose on here. A lot of bogus claims and horrible seller protection. Buyer can claim item not as described because of fit or a change of mind. Poshmark will side with buyer. I'm closing my account soon. Seller beware!

I had been a buyer for awhile and made about 15 purchases. On two occasions, the seller shipped something which wasn't the size specified (one item was missing tags). Poshmark will never side with the buyer, only with the seller, even though their website states that the buyer must be happy before funds are released. I protested, sent pictures, and explained the problem but Poshmark's remark was all sales are final and why don't you resell it? I had to delete my account out of frustration.

I bought a Vera Bradley bag that was totally unacceptable when I got it. I sent the email request to return it because it was completely worn out, faded, frayed, dirty, and with big holes. As a credentialed fashion designer, I have the skill to restore clothing and fabric items, especially Vera bags, but there was nothing I could do with this. They refused to let me return it. I will never buy from them again, and everyone out there shopping online needs to be warned that Poshmark sales are final. Read these other reviews and be warned. Other sites like eBay protect their buyers against sellers who offer low quality.

All my clothes are NWT and at the very least 70% off retail value but even then I barely get double digit offers! Fees are outrageous! 20%? Really? (Also now they take state taxes)They say it's for payment card processing fees (look it up it's only about 1.95% -2.50%)and delivery insurance but if they can make a deal to practically cut priority mail price by 50% with USPS then I'm pretty sure they have made a deal with payment processing and insurance due to it being a large company! Even at one point Poshmark owed USPS millions!(look it up)they made a deal and settled! Feel like this company is a rip-off! I'll be surprised if I'm the future this company Doesn't get in trouble for something!

Poptart57 can thank Poshmark for not making a sale. Saw an item on HSN that was sold in multiples (didn't need 4) and buying only 1 from them was only a couple of $ less than the company's website price. Saw a new one selling on Poshmark. When I tried buying it, got message that they recognized my email address and were going to text me secure site to set up an account. I've NEVER done business with Poshmark. 3 hours later I still haven't received an email. Found same item, same price on ebay. Took me less than 5 minutes as a Guest without setting up account. What a concept!

For a 20% sellers commission fee, and yes the $5.95 they charge the buyer on top of it (can you say GREEDY?) I expected their dispute resolution and their customer service to be slightly less horrible. The internet as we all know is full of scammers and liars, you sell an item on PM and have to hold your breath that you're not about to get scammed, but sometimes you do. Their "process" basically allows the buyer to make any wild unsubstantiated claim (one recently ripped apart a pair of brand new with tags leggings I sold, then said they arrived that way) and all the buyer has to do is take a pic, send it to PM (which they NEVER share with the sellers who are kept in the dark or allow us the opportunity to respond) before they rule in the buyer's favor. I keep losing not just money, but the items that get damaged due to fraud. Customer service is slow and unhelpful for the most part, they simply ignore emails when it's not in their benefit to deal with the issue. Avoid.

I've purchased 5 or six things in the past month. For the most part the experience has been positive. I've had one bid accepted but merchandise never shipped; refund was made promptly although I was disappointed not to get the item I thought I bought. Another item was refunded right after a bid acceptance and payment. I don't know why this system is much more loosey-goosey than Ebay, but you do have a chance to get high-end merchandise at really good prices. My other experiences are positive and went without a hitch. All in all I will continue to use this site as there are item I can't get elsewhere. So far I haven't had any disasters. LOL

Very limited customer support you can't reach them by phone if there's any urgent issue. I'm a new seller on Poshmark and got an order when I was out of town. My brother helped me ship the item along with something else I had to ship. He accidentally mis-labeled the 2 packages. I got in touch with customer support but Hannah who responded because the other item wasn't sold on Poshmark they'll not provide further assist. I was trying to find a way to get in touch with the buyer but there's no way in the app after item is delivered. I'm very disappointed at the seller support I got from Poshmark and their unsympathetic respond. They don't have your back when you need them. Will not use it again.

Long story short; so many items are "Ghost items" I would write. The old seller accounts exist and do not provide legit service anymore but the site provides them as reliable. You can try to buy an item on this site but good luck! You will likely end up never getting it and having the wait a awhile for a refund. There are better sites you can use; but be carful. Sites like these are becoming more common these days.

Horrible customer service and they never return emails! They take a super high percentage from sellers! I have had terrible luck wiht sellers even shipping the items! Ebay is also sticks up more for buyers but Poshmark is a straight joke! I tried a 10 times to buy and over half those the seller never respond, PM never responds and eventually i cancel and get a refund! Also lots of fake high end purse and Ugg Coats! BEWARE! It's best to just stay away or wait for the item on Ebay! Mercari so far has been pretty decent and they also dont release funds until buyer gets the item!

I am a Poshmark Ambassador with more than 700 listings. I have been active since Jan 2019 and in that year they have increased their shipping fees TWICE! Most of my items weigh under 10 ounces and do not warrant the absurd $7.11 shipping fee. Customer service is non existent and yet they collect a whopping 20 percent commission, twice what their competitors charge. Seriously, they have no telephone number. The only way to contact support when there is an issue, is via email. Ridiculous! They do everything within their power to make communication difficult so that they give up and not ask for help. They also have the rudest customer base who think nothing to offer you a fraction of your asking price. Everyone wants a bargain but to offer $7 on an item listed for $25 is just rude. Lowballing is now the norm since the shipping went up to $7.11. Needless to say, I am moving my business to Mercari.

I don't normally write reviews but this site has the worst service. Allows sellers to list items that are NOT as described and will NOT allow any returns in a simple process. There isn't any helpdesk support to assist with issues and questions-- there is only an email to send messages to that take 24 hrs to get a reply. DON'T use this site.

Ok so I was looking for a used watch and I found three listed on Poshmark at quite high prices, however I thought I'd give them a try and placed a bid. My bid was accepted the next day and the entire price charged to my credit card, which is odd because online seller do NOT normally charge your card until the items have been shipped.
Anyway 10 days later my item was still not shipped by the seller, so I cancelled my order.
Now I have to wait up to 30 days to get my money refunded back to my card.
This site is in my view still work in progress and has a long way to go yet.
Meanwhile I don't recommend risking your money with Poshmark.

Tip for consumers:
The site charges your credit card before they even ship the merchandize. so be careful

I've had mixed (mostly positive) reviews buying clothes off Poshmark, as it does depend on the individual seller, but it's rough to make sales on as a seller. I've had items listed for months on here that don't budge, yet sell within the week on other resell apps. There's a lot of spammy content, since they have certain badges, etc., such as people commenting asking you to check out what they're selling. They also take hefty fees when (if) items do sell. Stick to making purchases on here.

Tip for consumers:
Look elsewhere to sell your clothes, but it's great for buying.

I love Posh, protects buyers and sellers, their customer service, I have no complaints, they always get back to me within 24 hours and have resolved any problems. They prohibit fraud and scammers, making it difficult for a user to buy an expensive designer overnight bag, use it, and then attempt to return, after their TOS has expired. Anything I bought, or sold, has all been 99% 5 star ratings, of course except for the scammer.

To many girls sell clothes from asian wholesale websites and also used makeup isn't allowed and girls still do it. Poshmark needs to check there users and there listings. I was harassed by a girl non stop poshmark refused to help. Also stock photos shouldn't be allowed many girls use that but the item is completely different. Also Since poshmark doesn't follower there rules they should be closed and they cheat you.
UPDATE: My sister bought a so called gucci bag and its fake postmark refuses to refund her we are filing a dispute with our lawyers this is bs posh needs to be shut down.

It's like ebay used to be before they got Crazy. As a buyer you don't have to wade through tons of cheap non US seller junk or see the same listings spamming the site from a few sellers under different names. And when you go to check out you never get a message that something went wrong try again later. It makes buying fun again!
From a seller's standpoint it's less threatening than ebay has become. It's very easy for sellers to pick out the few scammers. Listing WORKS! There are so few glitches on here and they don't change your listings like that other place does. It's like a breath of fresh air or like the good old days at that other place. I recommend trying it with a few small items at first to get your feet wet. You will love it!

For few years now, I have an account at Poshmark. I recently became Poshmark Ambassador. Now I get a lot of people following me, I cannot keep up with it. I find that it takes too much time to promote and very little return on all the follows and promotions. I checked recently, it's best to have as a seller your pricing to be above $15
Otherwise, they take too much of a percentage of the sales. Instead of deleting my items, I raised the prices, as I don't really care to sell there. However, I will still keep my store up, in case someone likes to buy, because I have lots of stuff from my closet and I don't want to delete. Last year I had 2 sales. This year, so far I sold only one item...
I have also bought items, and I had good experience.

Tip for consumers:
To sell your from your closet, be ready to spend a lot of time to promote. As for buying, each closet is independently owned, so do your due diligence in looking at the reviews. Also, if you have a question, make sure to ask, before you purchase.

Products used:
I bought cosmetics. There are lots of nice bargains. However, at this point, I am trying to declutter. So I am more of a seller, than a buyer at this time.

Poshmark doesn't even deserve a one star. I buy pre owned clothing items for children and women in need most of the time. And give it to family networks centers. I bought a pair boots for a boy for $120, that's what he wanted... my good feed for this holidays. And they were disgusting, dirty and wasn't as pictured at all when I received them. Poshmark team kept dragging the return for weeks, asked to provide unnecessary pictures. And then denied the return eventually after wasting my time. They don't have a buyer protection plan and it's not buyer friendly. Poshmark is not a great place to do your shopping, I will not recommend this market place to anyone.

I've bought a bunch from Poshmark, and save for two items that were not as pictured everything was in excellent condition. I am opening a dispute on one of the imperfect items and decided to keep the other anyways.
By the way, if you sign up in the app with code UNXAZ you will get $5 off your first purchase (and it helps me a little too).

If you are looking to set up an online business for clothing and shoes (new or used) or household items don't start with Poshmark. Poshmark is not set up for business purposes, they are set up to be an on-line garage sell for fashion. They do not have the tools to support someone who wants to grow their online presence into a real business and it is not worth the time sharing your stuff and creating followers. You are better off going to a site like eBay, taking the time to learn the shipping game and build a real business that will scale. Poshmark is not set up to scale. Poshmark is also petty deleting your listings without giving you the opportunity to correct when they think you have violated one of their rules. Poshmark is run by people who are inexperienced and more concerned about being right. Poshmark makes it very easy to ship, but that one benefit is not worth investing your time in when eventually your business needs will out grow the platform.
