I bought something in the picture its looks like it is 4 feet long when i got it it was 4' long & they would not take it back or give me back my money
Be aware of false advertisement Poshmark allows. I bought pajama showing both top and pants on the picture and I only received the top. Poshmark is not helping me with this issue. They won't allow me to return it and get money back. I totally overpaid for a used piece of pajama top.
This website is a joke. Someone halfway across the country fraudulently purchased something in my name with my linked payment method. I've contacted poshmark multiple times and have heard nothing. Thank goodness my bank stopped the payment. Then because I reported the purchase- my account gets terminated and I can't contact the seller! Wtf! Find your used clothes and accessories elsewhere.
Think of POSmark as high school all over again. A bunch of snobs reporting people thinking they know every policy about this horrible site. I encountered a scam from Nigeria today and they blame the victim, not the scammer! I would strongly discourage everyone from joining this site. They also take 20% of your profit, unlike eBay, which takes only 10%.
Bought items that didn't fit right and customer support is failing to let me return the item. I don't wanna buy things that don't fit right. I'm not a perfect size. Clothing is not all sized the same. A 31 in one brand is not the same size in another. If it doesn't fit then poshmark should be more than happy to let the customer return the item. The pic below was advertised capris or Bermuda shorts on a woman 5'6" or taller. I am 5'3".
Before you purchase anything form this website please be aware that is almost impossible to return the items. The customer service is the worst, they already have the pre-writhing email to request the pictures form you and as much as you provide information you still can't return it. DO NOT buy anything form here will make your life easier. Worst experience ever and I will never spend a penny here again ever!

I bought a used Daniel Cremieux belt that typically goes for around $100 new, for $34. It had that nice looking twisted leather. After one wear in house, it falls apart. The twisted leather provides less strength than a single piece of leather. It can unravel. The seller had pushed it together for photos, but must have known it was about to fall apart. Poshies said I "damaged" it, and thus no refund. Classless, illogical, unprofessional. Done with you twisted Evil Poshies.
Tip for consumers:
Do not expect returns if your goods arrive broken or damaged.

Bought a brass purse and seller shipped it in a flimsy envelope with only tissue paper... no packing whatsover. Of course the post office bounced it around... now the clasp doesn't match up to the catch. Contacted Poshmark, sent pics... not good enough for them. They wanted detailed pics but the ones that I sent clearly show the problem. Done with them! What a farce! Don't buy from their site... they have no concept of the difference between a leather and a metal purse.
Impossible to talk live to someone. I made purchase with them over a week ago and have not heard from seller and reached out to "customer service" and no reply. I typically use Tradsey and the difference in the two is vast. I buy resell often and have ever been unable to reach-someone live. It's ridiculous. Take my advice, and use other online resell.

Okay I gotten some pretty sweet deals on here like a Tiffany & Co ring for $40! Yes it was authentic(: Also a coach bracelet for $13. Most of the things are over priced and posh does take a big cut when you sell things. I think it's worth it if you take your time looking around.
Right now they are having a special that if you sign up you get $10, give it a little time and they will offer you 99 cent shipping for your first order. My friend got a Burts bee set for free. Use this code and try it out, maybe you will like it(: the code is BKUZG
I'm a new seller on Poshmark. I sold two items pretty quick. But I need to verify my information. Unfortunately the verification email has never gone to my email I've checked spam I've checked everywhere. I emailed Poshmark about this, 10 times. I have not once received a response or any help for my verification process. Finally on the 9th and 10th time I got a generic email saying that they would get back to me hopefully within 24 hours that was 2 days ago. Poshmark is a joke and I would not bother using it if I was you!

I couldn't use any of their products because I couldn't even use their app
I spent nearly 3 weeks adding people sharing posts and all the things that they encourage you to do... I ended up following 18k people. I bought 1 thing it was hassle free... but I don't have the time to put in all that this app requires to be successful. Much better to use your local market place on FB or VarageSale. Plus they don't have all their ducks in a row for shipping between the US and Canada... in this case I'll stick to eBay.
Rcvd 3 different orders with fake gemstones. You have to be very careful not to hit the "I accept this order" button or you're stuck with it. They do NOT publish negative reviews of sellers - they are hidden. That enables and encourages deceptive sellers. You have 3 days to authenticate an item that you think might be fake & that's impossible to do with designer goods. Rotten to the core.
Tip for consumers:
Posh deliberately hides negative reviews so deceptive sellers have no incentive to depict their goods honestly. Deceptive sellers are oh so friendly until your order is shipped - then they will disappear. You can file a case with Posh support but you must have PROOF that the item is fake i.e. if it's Tiffany or Gucci etc you must obtain an email from them to present to Posh - I don't have time to battle it out for every fake item. 3 of 15 orders in Oct 2021 fake. Not for me.

Poshmark doesn't release $ to sellers until buyer confirms they received it. My biggest gripe with poshmark as a seller & a buyer is ridiculous shipping charges. $7 for a tshirt or a ring. No thanks. Plus i have to take that added cost into consideration when trying to sell my items that poshmark takes a % of on top of the inflated shipping. It does offer discount shipping at times but with sites like Amazon having free express shipping. Why would most spend $ for shipping?
I have been on Poshmark since 2012. Selling + buying actively since 2014. I have had very few issues! If you want to make money you have to actually, I don't know, WORK. Anytime you buy something online it's a risk. Just because you don't get your way doesn't mean it's a scam. I've made very good money selling on Posh, and I've bought a lot of great things from great sellers. Research your sellers before you buy if you're worried - it's very easy to tell whether a seller is good or bad.
One thing I would definitely suggest before buying anything on Poshmark is to do an item search for the particular item you were looking to buy and see how many transactions it has had. For instance there are people on Poshmark who buy shoes wear them then sell them again on Poshmark as if they are the original owners They have all of the required documents because they were giving to them from the original owner. Luckily Poshmark stores all of his transactions on the website So just do some research on the item and see how many people it actually went through and used/worn the item you would be surprised. As for me I don't particularly want to buy a pair of third, fourth (etc) hand clothing especially shoes which are germy.
Poshmark is some sort of cult app
There are sellers on there trying to be the best posh seller ever for rewards like becoming a host or to keep sharing and liking items. They always want sellers on the app like obsessed. From what I heard before COVID they were having special invitations parties to meet in NYC and other places for top sellers only to put you in a pyramid scheme to buy a sell there wholesale inventory at retail price. They take so much of your money in fees and shipping it's hard to sell small items or lower price items like mac lipstick. Because the shipping price and lipstick price combined you might as well buy local at mac store.
I recently started cleaning out my closet and selling on poshmark I have multiple high end purses and clothing items most still with tags I paid full retail for I had buyer purchase a. Bag worth hundreds for 30 and then recieve it and message me how I should have sold it to them cheaper then a few days later they have my bag posted for retail! Also started reading different sites on "source" and was beyond shocked to find out these sellers are going to stores like goodwill and others selling the items they are getting for 1 or less. For full retail! Not only are they being dishonest with the buyer but are taking from others that can only afford to go to store such as goodwill these people should be ashamed there are many wholesale companies for clothing and accessories if you would like to have a resell business please stop taking from the needy
Needlessly cumbersome app. Nonsensical process to ask seller a question/inquire WHERE TF my order is - only to realize YOU CAN'T! You can't communicate w seller after a purchase! My first question, "Hey, when might I see my stuff I bought and paid for 3 weeks ago.?" Answer ammounted to "We're not sure... we'll let you know when it has shipped" A week later, "hey, what's up w my order?"... (nothing...)
Okay, I'm done. I just want my money back.
3 attempts at a 'resolution' have gone unanswered.
Just filed a dispute of charge w paypal.
I suppose if the seller has integrity and everything goes right, you'll be okay. But w no real way to communicate, get answers and a resolution, it's a crapshoot at best, a waste of time, $$$ and TONS of frustration otherwise.
Oh yeah! And you CAN'T LEAVE REVIEWS! Only 'love notes'! What does THAT tell ya?
Deleting app and sticking w ebay.
I had just purchased this gorgeous Michael Kors watch brand new from Dillards for my mom. She didn't like the rhinestone face so I put it on poshmark. No damage, brand new condition and I still had the tags. Someone offered 15 less than what I listed it for. I accepted and shipped it out same day. She gave me a 4 stars with the message "fast shipping than you, Happy Holidays!". No explanation for the less than 5 review and dropped my perfect 5.0 rating to 4.9. I was very upset.
Everything was good until someone hacked into my account and started purchasing expensive items. My bank did cover the charges thankfully but poshmark customer service sucked. They basically told me I was lying and all the purchases were made on my device and shipped to me. I found out about the charges early so I was able to lock my account but they changed my shipping address to New Jersey and I live in Mississippi. They said they showed no such activity on my account so they were going to do anything about it. I've deleted my account and advise everyone not to put a credit card on their app.
I searched for green jeans and found a pair I liked. When I received them, they were gray. I send photos proving they were gray, but they refused to refund my money. I have been shopping in stores and online for decades, and I've never encountered such a return policy.

Always check company reviews before buying. I wish I had.

If you buy from Poshmark, know that you have no consumer protection for poor quality products. I ordered some shoes, same brand/style of some I already have. The product I received was substandard: poor fit, poor materials, very dissimilar in quality to this brand's products; in addition, product was lacking the brand "copyright" stamp that typically appears on strap. I submitted with a photo and with comparison photos from other Poshmark listings and requested return authorization - but Poshmark does't do returns unless you can somehow provide "proof" that item is fake or defective with multiple photos (IN ADDITION to what I already submitted). Proof? An impossible & time-consuming bar for consumer, one meant to ensure that neither vendor nor Poshmark assume responsibility for poor products. I don't have any more time to deal with this and will take it as $60 personal loss and NEVER ever buy Poshmark again.
Tip for consumers:
Be aware that if you purchase from Poshmark, the only instance in which a refund / return is issued is if you can "prove" that it is fake or defective -- your assessment as a consumer has no value (how do you "prove" the shoes are a subpar piece of junk?).

First purchase... I waited and waited for item... they couldn't locate seller... luckily they returned my money... but really needed the item... second... poor quality item... flaws not depicted in sellers pics. I notified them immediately I wanted to return and sent pics from my phone. I asked they send me mailing label so I can get my money back. They informed me later I had 72 hours to complete return request on a certain "return site". Not user friendly... told them I was having prob with that site... they went ahead and disbursed the funds to seller knowing I was unhappy and wanted to return the handbag. This is an online platform that obviously lacks integrity.
I purchased a pair of shoes that were "slightly worn" and they looked new in the picture and when I got them; the last picture of the shoes is the pic that was posted by Seller "SNOW36". (SEE PICS) The problem is I didn't wear them for a month or so later. The day I wore them they fell apart completely! The inside must have been painted because it came off on my feet; my feet were gold and black. They tore exactly in the same spot on both shoes. I have shoes that I've worn for a few years and they just don't deteriorate anywhere near that quick, so my assumption is they were glued and painted to look new. I have no other explanation for a pair of shoes ruined that way after one use. Poshmark refused to refund my money... because I already had "worn" them. That is a joke, so suffice to say I will never order from them again.
I am talking about the new Poshmark Canada site. I really have to filter to find something reasonable. Pretty pathetic because I know that poshMark in the states is more reasonable. Canadians you need to lower your prices in because they are comparable to brand new and if that's the case everybody will just go onto eBay.
So I ordered a blouse from real real. Com. A clothing seller. Somehow poshmark got our account information and charged us three consecutive days causing an overdraft on our account costing us $110.00 iin bank fees. We are filing with the better business bureau and consulting an attorney for a class action law suit.
