Be aware of false advertisement Poshmark allows. I bought pajama showing both top and pants on the picture and I only received the top. Poshmark is not helping me with this issue. They won't allow me to return it and get money back. I totally overpaid for a used piece of pajama top.

DO NOT SELL TO THIS INDIVIDUAL! This customer ordered Brand New- Authentic Burberry Boots from me and decided while they were in transit she wanted to cancel the order which at that point I could not they were in transit. So the only way for her to get her $ back was to say they were damaged. She intentionally scratched the boots and then took pictures for a refund. Still waiting to receive these boots back.

I am new. That's why I only give it a 3. But I will update this review as soon as I have several transactions from them. I have purchased an item two days ago and it still have not shipped. I understand that PM gives the seller up to 7 days to ship your order. I am crossing my fingers. I paid more than what I should have. I am a little apprehensive because what I should have done is buy an inexpensive item and see how it all works. I do not plan to sell thru PM. I'm just buying. I also sent an email to customer support regarding PM payment options. That was 3 days ago, no response as of yet. Can you tell me if PM accepts PayPal to purchase an item. I just read it under their FAQS that using PayPal to make a transaction is considered an "offline transaction" and does not cover the Posh Protect policy. However, during the checkout it gave me two options either add a credit or debit card and PayPal. I am just a little confused. I want to make it right to make sure I'm covered by their policy should the transaction or my purchase won't go right. Thank you.

Purchased a "nwt" gucci handbag that did not come with tags and obviously not authentic. Everyone who has experienced this same issue please file a complaint with the better business bureau.

I joined Poshmark in 3/15 and I have no issues with anything thus far, I have had a few slow shipments from sellers but that is all. I like it for myself to clean out my closets and drawers of items I use no longer. I do not try to make my money back from items but mark them at prices that are reasonable considering these items are not brand new. I also take into consideration that the shipping method used is $5 USPS Priority Mail. So I make the price with shipping below what people would pay at the store. I make more than if I sell it at a yard sale anyway. I have had some ridiculous offers but then I counteroffer and usually a deal is reached. I use the proceeds to buy from other sellers. I have had no bad experiences but then I go by the old saying "If it is too good to be true then it is!". So I stay away from questionable ads and sellers. I have noticed that there are some of the same "Buy It Now" sellers selling the same knock off junk that is sold on Ebay, Etsy and Amazon. This is something that could be a problem for the other sellers who are actually selling their used name brand items such as MAC, Dior, Chanel, Gucci, Michael Kors, Coach and others. I always ask if something is still available as some sellers sell on other sites too or abandon their closets. This is not a site for those who think they will make big money. It is not that sort of site. I have done moderately well using Poshmark and I like the other sellers... thus far!

I bought a Clare V purse from posher jsjbjj on November 21st. I submitted money from PayPal. The bag was then marked sold. I wrote the posher and let her know I was buying a newer strap from Clare V and looked forward to her sold handbag being delivered. Poshmark claims it takes 3-5 days for delivery. I heard nothing from Jennifer Johnson. I wrote again after 7 days allowing business days for the holidays. Nothing. So I decided to alert Poshmark. They replied to the thread. Nothing. So I reported seller to Poshmark. A reply from Jennifer after 10 days saying, "I am sorry it is sold." I did receive my money back from PayPal.
In anticipation for this bag, I bought a $80 strap from Clare V with shipping costs based on trust that the purse will be delivered.
A financial transaction took place when money was sent and the item marked sold occurred between me and Jennifer based on trust that both seller and buyer will comply to this contractual agreement. In every contract, when one doesn't perform, there are repercussions. It appears that Poshmark and their lack of consequences (expel posher) is in compliant with this behavior. Poshers in spite of not complying to set terms are still able to sell on site.
On Airbnb if a host fails to perform, people write reviews and at some point, the host is no longer welcomed. Poor hosts are detrimental to the brand, and its investors and/or stockholders. The same should be for Poshers.
This was my first and last purchase.

Tip for consumers:
Do not trust the transactions of Poshmark. It seems poshers have no obligation to sell. There are no consequences from Poshmark on poshers lack of performance. If you can’t trust a company, perhaps look for other clothing consignment sites.

I have used poshmark several times and it will never be worth it! I've been both buyer and seller and believe me you don't want to be either. As a buyer I have tried to purchase several items, most of the time I would have to cancel the item because the buyer wouldn't send it after 14 days! One time I bought a pair of jeans and the buyer sent me her own jeans rather than the ones she was selling (how does that even happen?). I've also have had the seller lie on there page telling me the wrong size of jeans. All these times I had to get a refund and it was a lot of headaches and completely unnecessary, you think I would learn! Recently I thought I would give poshmark a try as a buyer, that was a mistake. Although you can make some money the people you are selling to are scammers. After I gave a great deal on a top for this girl who really wanted it I sent it to her. After a few days she listed it on her account for double the price! I'm super pissed but it is just another reason why I should delete the app. Buyers are dishonest and unreliable it is rare when you get someone who will actually send you their item. I have had to cancel my order most of the time and I have gotten several refunds from poshmark. Not worth the struggle. It's best if you just go on Etsy or Depop with small business owners that are reliable and care about their customers.

I have been buying and selling on eBay for years and have had very few negative experiences. I only approximately 100 transactions as a Buyer on Poshmark, and I have been burned more than I have been pleased. First, the shipping is ridiculous. A three-ounce necklace costs $2.61 to ship First Class. Poshmark charges $6.49. For everything. Second, there is ZERO quality control. The descriptions are vague, which should not be allowed, forcing customers to ask a slew of questions before evening making an offer/purchase. If I had the time to wait for Sellers to get back to me, I would not be shopping online: If I see something I like, I want to purchase it then. I have received a slew of tarnished pieces of jewelry--that I pay double to ship (vs. EBay) and receive half as nice of quality. Third, there is no way to speak privately to Poshers. Everything is public, which gets awkward. I also wish you could add a comment to the offers, explaining why something might seem like a low-ball offer. I have had Sellers block me for asking a legitimate question. Who does that? Finally, there is no way to get a partial refund if you'd rather keep a damaged item that you'd prefer to keep but for a lesser price (e.g., I bought a necklace that I had to get fixed!). I spend thousands online each month, and Poshmark will not be getting another dime of my hard-earned money. There are a slew of options; spend your money elsewhere.

Some items are wonderful but you MUST know your merchandise and pricing. For example a Madewell bag was selling for $100 on Posh NWT but I could find it on sale at Nordstrom Rack for $60. Some people just way overprice items and get angry with lowball offers. Monitor from whom you buy, dont be afraid to lowball, and dont forget to accept lowball offers from others.

Janethegypsy (POSHMARK seller) sold me earrings that were assembled incorrectly and looked awful when hanging on my ears.
I stated my case, being questioned numerous times, and ultimately was called a LIAR *******@janeandthegypsy, seller. Through many insults (I have never encountered anything like that in my life), I was denied a return and refund. CAVEAT EMPTOR!

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT BUY FROM POSHMARK.
Any items poorly made and not in the description, will not be returned.
They side with the “crook” sellers.

I've decided to thin out my closet, and thought this would be a fun way to do it. I'm not really there for the $$ but, it's nice have a bit of cash for little things now and agin that I find interesting. Also, one of my father's clients is in the habit of paying him in high priced fashion items from their stores, and he gives me things. Much of it is too big, I have really small feet, or things I'm terrified of using for fear of destroying. They own a consignment store I think, as most of it is gently used. So, I put this up at Posh. So far, so good with the selling. I made over $400. Granted, I price with shipping in mind, plus the fact that I myself haven't paid for the high priced items I'm putting up. It's just for fun for me really. I've even redeemed $300 of it to my bank account without a problem, and kept $100 there for buying things that interest me.

Buying is where things get hairy there. I've learned to stay out of the boutiques, as quality is poor. Also learned to read comments of sold items, and love notes. From someone's closet, I got a Michael Kors phone case that was exactly as described, and I love. From a boutque I got a dress that looked nothing like the pics in terms of quality. They deleted my love note review as well, when I complained as well, when I complained a bit. READ COMMENTS as love notes can be deleted. As a private closet seller, I rely to questions asked, and I point out the flaws in anything that I'm selling. You buy from people like that, I think you'll be fine.

I sold an authentic vintage LV bag in perfect condition and shipped it to the buyer. Keep in mind that after the huge poshmark commission that they take, I didn't make any money on the sale. Bag was never used in the 15 years that I had it. Poshmark "authenticates" all bags sold over $500. So when the bag ships it goes off to some unknown address, into poshmark's (dirty) hands. This morning, several days after the bag was shipped, I get a message from the buyer asking why I cancelled the sale? I checked and sure enough under my sales tab it shows that the sale was cancelled. There is no additional information. There is no way, other than by email, to contact poshmark. Now my expensive bag is missing and I and the buyer are left with nothing. This is theft! The bag was purchased by me directly from LV and they have confirmed the sale. I can get a copy of the receipt (which is archived so will take a week) as proof of authenticity. If the bag is not returned or money paid I will contact the authorities! The bag is worth more than my share of the would be profit! Poshmark needs to be shut down and the CEOs arrested.

I am a relatively recent participant on Poshmark, having purchased several items. A purchase was made several weeks ago but the seller neither shipped the item nor responded to Poshmark's inquiries.

This evening I received a call from Poshmark offering to set up a 3 way call with the seller. When connected, the Poshmark rep did not identify himself to the seller, which surprised me. The seller indicated that after the sale, he decided to keep the item. I let him know that a Poshmark rep was on the line, and reneging on a sale after the fact is not good business practice. The seller then called me a "needle $#*!."

The Poshmark rep identified himself and sided with the seller! I asked if he had heard the seller insult me and his response was to try to change the spelling of my name on the site to match the insult!

This is one of the worst examples of terrible online commerce I have ever experienced. Poshmark obviously favors sellers to the detriment of buyers. Under these circumstances, I can no longer endorse nor participate.

Avoid at all costs!

I purchased a item *******@rafantjewlry. Item was suppose to deliver on Dec.2 item was never received seller tells me item needed to be signed for posh mark rules I wait for item til Dec 17th no item file case with Posh Mark no reply to me seller also contacts post mark finally I get message stating order complete seller fund been released I never received items sent proof from usps contacted seller seller states they should be refunded ing me as well check bank no refund seller states he will check with posh mark but he can no longer message them about case cause order was complete well of course seller don't care he got $441.63 I have paid for item I have not received. I have emailed posh mark 3 days in a row have yet to get a reply. This is really sad customers get ripped off like this and posh Mark does not adhere to their own policy. Do not trade with this company unless you have insurance on your purchase. Also they don't have live reps to talk to you the recorder will tell you how to file a case then hang up. VERY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER!

Tip for consumers:
When items are not delivered Posh Mark release payment to seller. Your card is charged. Buyer is left not receiving items, but made payment for item. Also Posh Mark does not have live reps. to speak with. Posh Mark return policy is not simple to receive refunds. Best to pay with credit card to dispute transaction. Which will be insurance incase you have issues.

I've never been treated so poorly then when dealing with this company's joke of customer service. They told me to resell my incorrect item to someone else! FRAUDULENT response in my opinion.

Tip for consumers:
Don’t count on filing a return, ask for measurements on all items prior to shipping! Items shrink when washed incorrectly, so even if you know you’re size in a particular brand it may still be wrong when you get it.

I’ve bought all types of clothing for my whole family on Poshmark. You can buy just about anything, it’s a giant garage sale, so some people have really good items to sell and others are selling Walmart brand clothing!

Don't trust Poshmark, they are NOT HONEST and do not trade with fair practices. They allow their sellers to misrepresent their listings. You get stuck with an item you don't want. They are in the business to make money and that's why they refuse to take returns for legitimate reasons. My item was grossly MISREPRESENTED, and I brought it to their attention and they didn't care. Please take a look at all the reviews and you will see a pattern. A lot of unhappy buyers and Poshmark refusing to allow returns time and time again. They are filled with FRAUDULENT listings and you are NOT protected! BUYER BEWARE!
