Be aware of false advertisement Poshmark allows. I bought pajama showing both top and pants on the picture and I only received the top. Poshmark is not helping me with this issue. They won't allow me to return it and get money back. I totally overpaid for a used piece of pajama top.

I have made a decent amount of money on poshmark but I do agree that it is a sketchy place to buy and sell. You can only hope that people have the decency and morals to ship what you ordered in the condition that they say it is. Aside from all of the sketchy sellers there are also many sketchy buyers, there is absolutely no protection for buyers if they send an item out in perfect condition and the buyer breaks it and claims it was shipped to them broken. This happened to me with a pair of swimsuit bottoms that I shipped in perfect condition to a buyer who tried them on, (was obviously a larger size) and broke the straps, then claimed it was shipped to them that way. Then I am left with no money & a broken swimsuit that I can no longer sell! WTF this is telling buyers that if something doesn't fit them they can't return it but if it doesn't fit and they ruin it they can send it back! Very unfair. Also the 20% for this horrible customer service is ridiculous, you get hassled into selling perfectly new items for less than they're worth

I've been on posh for about 3 months now. I have sold 20 items so far and purchased way more than that lol. I've also traded once (allowed by posh) successfully. I haven't personally had any bad experiences.
Pros:
~ You find great deals
~ The community aspect is awesome
~ i like the whole layout and the "parties"
Cons:
~ Posh takes 20%
~ As a seller, I get lowball offers and rude comments
~Posh ONLY publicly publishes 5 star reviews on the "love notes" (sellers reviews)
~ I've seen sellers who consistently con/have negative feedback who are still allowed to sell
~ if you buy an item you have 3 hours to cancel otherwise the seller has 7 days to ship before you are able to cancel. Similarly, if you place an offer on an item and the seller accepts, it's binding.
The neutral
~There is no private messaging BUT I like that the buyers sold posts are still active and visible so I can see if they have bad feedback,
Advice
~ Ask as many questions as possible before buying because posh will not accept returns that don't fit or if you don't like the item
~ Use common sense! If a seller or buyer gives you a bad vibe, stay away!

I went on this site with an optimistic view; I had a lot of clothing worn once or twice that are high quality and although I loved them when I purchased, I no longer had space for them or had "grown" out of them.
A person on the app contacted me to let me know she had an event in a few days and wanted my dress for it. She also asked me if there were any snags, I inspected the dress that I had worn one time and confirmed there were no snags in the dress.
She got the dress and Poshmark allows 3 days after arrival for "accepting" an order; so she wore the dress, snagged it and then on the 3rd day made a claim that the dress had a snag and she wanted to return it... Poshmark obliged... this service is shady at best.
Because there is no quality check between the seller and the buyer, the buyer can really run you through the ringer and abuses the system. I've now heard this from more than one former user of Poshmark. I learned my lesson, hopefully you are able to save yourself before you have a 200 dollar dress you loved and only wore one time used and abused by a Poshmark person. Beware!

I was a 5 star seller on PM for a few years. I'm a buyer as well. All of my purchases went well. I was happy. As a seller, you are at their mercy and have zero say in any matter. I had an item listed that sold. The buyer claimed it was counterfeit. It 100% was not counterfeit. I would never do that! The buyer was a new PM member. Only a month. They had zero transactions. Poshmark sided with the buyer even though i immediately sent emails with all explanation, photos, documentation. They sided with the buyer immediately. The buyer was allowed to return the item for a full refund. I could care less about the money. It's the principal. I even wrote that in my notes and comments to the buyer. I did say please feel free to return the item for a full refund. BUT do not accuse me of selling counterfeit items when I clearly was not. It wasn't even questionable.
I even asked Poshmark to turn it over to their legal department. That's because I am 100% positive. It is not counterfeit. I have had so many reviews now about the same problem with Poshmark.
I can't be associated with a fraudulent company like this, so I am closing my account with Poshmark.

Bought a pair of shoes marked new, unused. They looked nice in the picture and the same exact brand and style I was replacing that were worn out. The shoes I bought arrived and sat on my porch for 1 day while we were out of town. Arrived next night and brought inside. That 3rd morning I opened and tried them on and the right shoe fit perfect and looked great, but the left was like it belonged to another smaller shoe. It was about 1/2 dive shorter and super narrow and smashed, almost curved. Definitely seem like a defective shoe, which probably made the whole pair defective and I'm guessing the reason why they were for sale on Poshmark to begin with. Had I bought them on eBay no problem, but I've been returned and got my money back, and a seller like that would not be selling very long on eBay. Unfortunately, I was very naïve and bought from Poshmark when I found a pair I was looking for. I reached out to the seller on that third day and no response that evening I reached out to Poshmark, which was still within the three day period that they require you to reach out to them with any problems. They immediately responded and asked for more information, order number, etc., which I sent. Still no response so on the fourth day I sent another message. This time they responded and said oops too late already release the money to the seller. What a scam! That was a $90 mistake. Can't donate a defective pair and so they are just garbage.

Too bad there isn't a 0 stars option...
My 2nd correspondence to them says it all:
"Your return policy stinks! I absolutely feel taken advantage of and will NEVER purchase from your site again. I feel like the seller HAD to know the shoes were not true to size, yet it was never addressed nor were there any indications of measurements which would lead a buyer to expect the sizing was anything but standard. I am disgusted by that and by the fact that I e-mailed support about this immediately and no-one has taken one minute to acknowledge or reply to me. I did a lot of research and now see that many buyers "Re-Posh" because size wasn't right - all sellers should be encouraged to offer measurements if they have experienced that what they are "Re-Poshing" is due to the fact that they expected a true fit and the item wasn't. Did I say I am disgusted? I will be making a public review to the negative for your site as a result of this experience. Of course, just like my other communication to Poshmark, I'm sure this one will be ignored/disregarded or plain not read. Bad business!"
In addition, as noted by my purchase screenshot below, it appears that Poshmark clearly WANTS a "re-Posh" - must make money each sale -- therefore that is probably why they do not encourage more accurate listings and why there are no returns. Lesson learned - not all sites are return friendly even with legitimate reasons.

Tip for consumers:
If you must order something even if you do not think the description could be lacking - ask, ask, ask. I've never listed anything on this site, but compared to other online shopping, there must be a charge for every word or photo a seller uses because most descriptions are inadequate, leaving one tempted (as I was) to assume all is fine. Most listings have no written description and few have more than 1 - 3 photos. BEWARE!

BOYCOTT POSHMARK! Do not buy anything from Poshmark. They do not stand behind their ordering system. I ordered a pair of sneakers by filtering my size in the Men's category and they sent me a woman's size sneaker and REFUSE to take it back. Amazon would have had a return receipt sent to me faster than I could type this. BOYCOTT Poshmark!

I received a disingenuous email from Claire about cancelling an unshipped item. This was my response.

Claire, that item will be returned to the sender. I no longer live at that address due to me losing my job. Furthermore, that item was not shipped when I requested a return. In fact, I received an email this morning around 5:54 am stating there's a delay on my order - meaning it was not shipped to me. Under the category section, there is a "cancel unshipped order" selection. I requested to cancel my unshipped order - before it was shipped. You guys are not being compliant with your policies. Therefore, I am disputing this. I will never do business with a conniving business such as Poshmark.

Again, this item will be returned to the sender and I'm using all my correspondence with your company to include your selection that reads cancel unshipped orders - and you took days to reply.

This dispute is ongoing.

She had the audacity to reply by saying, "sorry again."

I was within the time frame, and she ignored that fact. They're the worst and this is not over. Needless to say, they will never get my business.

Don't trust this conniving website.

Poshmark.Ca is a terrible place to do ANY business.
Sellers are constantly defrauding customers from selling replica items to not disclosing issues with the item
Poshmark.ca customer service is the WORST and I DO NOT recommend Poshmark.ca to anyone

Okay so basically, five days ago I ordered a kindle fire, messaged the seller about it, she went online around an hour after I bought it and texted me and said that she would ship it out Monday morning, Monday rolls around no shipping updates, Tuesday none, Wednesday nothing, I go to check her activity on her Poshmark page she hasn't been active since the day she messaged me, as I read reviews and stuff I realized that the seller doesn't get the money until the product is with the buyer and the buyer confirms that they have the product, in all honesty the girl seemed genuine but idk the seventh day is coming up soon, I'm gonna ask for a refund as soon as I can because tbh I don't really want the product anymore.

Note- she removed nearly all her listings and only left like two items so I'm assuming she isn't planning on shipping it out to me.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY! I recently bought a $2500 dollar Louis Vuitton purse from a seller on Posmark. After 3 weeks of trying to get my bag delivered, I was told from the seller that the label Poshmark was sending wasn't good, so the only way I could reach out to them to communicate was via email. Can you even imagine that a company who deals with high priced items like that doesn't even have a PHONE NUMBER? The seller kept the bag and sold it to someone else while Poshmark kept my $2500 dollars. I had to file a FRAUD claim with my bank in order to get my money back. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY!

I was a seller on Poshmark for almost 4 years. It was a hobby and I never had any issues with buying, selling or with the company until last fall when it was bought by a foreign company.
I accidentally made a mistake while changing my email and contacted the customer service people to help me. I was locked out of my account for 3 days for no reason or explanation. When I was able to get into my account I wasn't able to buy or sell. I couldn't even BUY with a credit card.
Poshmark doesn't have phone for contacting someone, only a form to fill out from their app.
It's been almost a month now and I still can't perform any action on my account so I've deleted all my merchandise. I still can't buy anything or heard one word from the service center.
I advise you, from my experience, to seek other re sell sites. Poshmark's commission is 20% of every sale or $3 for any item less than $15.
There is no other option for shipping aside from USPS 2 day for the buyer. That's $7.97 and will go up again as postal rates are increasing. If your item sold is over 5 pounds, like a coat, the extra postage comes out of your proceeds. Paying extra postage can eat up your profit fast.
It's too bad Poshmark has turned into this and I'm sad I'm no longer doing business there, but if this is their business model, forget it.

Should be able to give ZERO stars. Wholly dishonest company. My one and only order from this company was a scam. I had liked a pair of $39 shorts then received an offer from the seller to purchase for $32 AND reduced shipping of $4.99. I clicked on the link in the email to purchase and bought it. I then looked and saw the charge was for the full price plus the original shipping charge! I was overcharged almost $11 and immediately contacted support to get a refund. Instead I received a *form letter back stating that the sellers offer must not have met their parameters but failed to say HOW it didn't. I now am not receiving any response back to my screen shot below of the offer I accepted and requested that they explain why the offer was not honored. The transaction should not even have been completed if it didn't meet their standards (and I don't believe for a second it did). When I alerted them to the problem I should've received a partial or a FULL refund (cancelling the sale) immediately as I never had any intention of buying it at full price. This is a bait and switch scam to the customer and after reading all these other reviews I am definitely reporting this to the authorities, the CA State Attorney General's Office, the BBB, ripoff report, and every other platform I can think of. People need to know just how dishonest this company is operating. I will also look into small claims court where if this case is accepted they will surely lose. I encourage everyone else to do the same so they change their dishonest ways or get shut down.

UPDATE for THIS TIME - Am venting/providing a caution re this site: All my previous comments remain; beware of "nasty/extremely unprofessional" sellers, but can get good deals, with awesome sellers - just review "love notes", and ask their email-only Cust Svc (one-day response) on other ways to check up on a seller. Otherwise: I've just completed my SECOND, yes - SECOND "Incident Report of Fraudulent Use of CC" with my CC firm -- This is 2nd time my card has been hacked FROM THIS SITE, and used to buy stuff. --- So, this is a suggestion RE THIS SITE (unfortunately) - PAY THRU Paypal, not with your CC directly, to minimize your chances of your card being HACKED! --- This SUGGESTION is NOT a guarantee, but I've not had a problem with PP/Ebay since being a customer&seller, over a decade.

OK; Take care w/ Sellers

Made 1st purchase today; Sweet, verified seller ("top rated"), got good prices on a bundle. Site's rather-recent revamped look and policies are an improvement over original: Ship cost is standardized for 5 lbs, and good for bundle from 1 seller; Site now does not encourage trades-the latter was a bad idea anyway, and now has "customer guarantee" before releasing funds to the seller - GREAT idea (like Tradesy). Lastly, communication with site itself is only via email; got an answer to a? A few days after inquiry-At least they make an effort (so far)! Had reviewed other recent comments, and agree that buyer's experience is dependent on the seller - lots of sellers are irresponsible (ADD-challenged "young adults"), and they just disappear after they post their items, and/or they mis-advertise, etc = bad sellers. You can ask about their ratings; its "some" small guarantee about their conduct and listed items. Another slight annoyance for me, but I guess part of the site's "charm"---People can just chat away endlessly, and off-topic; another "social network" I don't need. Otherwise, an OK site for used clothing and accessories if you're careful about the seller, and with their improved buyer protection policies.

I bought a pair of ski pants for my daughter. They were supposed to be size 18, there was a defect in the seam of the right leg and they did not even fit my other daughter who wears a size 8 because of the the internal defect. I sent them a picture which showed the right leg was smaller, they said the picture was blurry and I had 24 hours to send another one. I did not have access to the internet, so I did not even see that request until 72 hours later. NOw they will not take it back. I think that it was fAKE TO BEGIN WITH AND HAD FAKE TAGS ON IT.

If you sell your items on this site, be sure you take lots of pictures before you ship anything, and even take pictures of the packaging, and take pains to double wrap everything in the impossible case that USPS spills crap all over the package.

I sold a clothing item that was literally new and the buyer claimed it had stains on it. I wrapped it in a sealed bubble wrap mailer, and the packaging didn't have any stains on it, yet she claimed something "fell in" to the package (impossible).

Poshmark proceeded to let her return the now damaged item without corresponding with me once. They also have no phone number, so you can't contact them. I sent 10 e-mails and messages through their app and i have gotten no actual responses except for automated ones saying "we will get back to you within 1-2 business days!".

Do not, not, NOT sell on here! If you're a buyer, you may be in luck and get to screw over random people.

I thought this app was better than e-bay because it was so much less annoying. However, now i see the reason for all of the hassle you have to go through on e-bay; they have much greater protection for both the buyer and the seller. This company poshmark is a joke and i hope people exit it en masse.

People also sell used items for WAYY too much on here... pretty ridiculous.

I purchased 4 Savannah Jane tops off of Poshmark. I requested to return 3 of them and poshmark allowed 2. One seller sent me a totally wrong top. The 2nd seller had obviously washed and shrunken the shirt and had heavily sprayed it with febreeze which I'm allergic to. 3rd seller had called a shirt distressed when it was in fact Seams right in the front ripped apart and unable to be sewn. 4. The shirt I kept was brand new and the only shirt that was actually described. I also have a friend who bought a bunch of Louis Vuitton items off this site because she said they were guaranteed. I told her 3 were obviously fake and upon reading the fine print Poshmark DOES NOT CHECK EVERY ITEM OVER $500 FOR AUTHENTICITY THEY HAVE "APPROVED" SELLERS WHO SCREWED OVER MY FRIEND. This is a site for people looking to sell their damaged crap for a bunch of money.

Tip for consumers:
Be super careful. Read the description thoroughly. Mostly just don't shop here. It's a bunch of damaged crap or fakes people are off loading on unsuspecting victims.

Products used:
I ended up keeping 1 shirt that was brand new. All the used shirts were messed up with the seller's lying about condition. ALSO PLEASE KNOW POSHMARK SELLS OBVIOUS FAKES EVEN OVER THE $500 PRICE POINT. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE.

BEWARE do NOT purchase ANYTHING from POSHMARK... it is a fraudulent scam... to be eco friendly we gave up plastic bags... so I figured I would purchase a few used LV Noe bags to keep in the truck just in case I needed a bag. Poshmark advertises that they do not release payment until okayed by buyer and that bags are authenticated OMG WHAT A LIE! In a nutshell, the bags at the Dollar store are better constructed then the fake LV i received... seller lies and says it is "authentic" sends in pixs and authentication of a REAL LV not the one that you were sent Poshmark sides with seller to complete the fraud... luckily I got out of the deal otherwise I would have paid a pretty penny for sprayed plastic!

I recently purchased a purse that was over $500, with the promise that Poshmark would authenticate it in person. When the item was being shipped directly to me instead of going to Poshmark, I reached out to the seller to find out why. The seller was confused as well.

Later on, the seller sent a screen capture of an email Poshmark had sent them stating that they consider the seller a "verified seller" of authentic items because they had a good reputation for selling authentic luxury products.

What this really means is that Poshmark was planning on saving a bit of money and labor by having the item go directly to me without being authenticated at their headquarters first.

No where in Poshmark's authentication guidelines do they state that "verified sellers" are a thing. Their guidelines state that items of $500+ are sent to their HQ to be authenticated by them. I escalated this to Poshmark Support through the app, and on Twitter.

It's been so arduous trying to get help from them.
They said they would do a virtual authentication of the item, so I sent them the pictures they requested. They closed the case saying that I was ineligible for a refund. They didn't even state if the item was authentic or not through the "virtual authentication process".

Poshmark as a whole is a scammy, money-grubbing company. I am never buying from them again, even if my life depended on it!

Tip for consumers:
Don’t buy from them to begin with. That’s my best advice.

Yesterday I tried to purchase a pair of tennis at the Poshmark site, which directed me to register and sign up! I had tried three times with two browsers, Window11 and the New Google, everyone was a failure. This site either has a bad webmaster or SIMPLY DISCRIMINATES AGAINST PARTIES, noting that the site had a SPY-SCANNER simultaniously checking my personal computer without consent! Is that a federal crime?
