Be aware of false advertisement Poshmark allows. I bought pajama showing both top and pants on the picture and I only received the top. Poshmark is not helping me with this issue. They won't allow me to return it and get money back. I totally overpaid for a used piece of pajama top.

When you need help, their customer service is by messaging only and its all automated responses. It seems as if no one actually works there. Sell somewhere else.

Tip for consumers:
sell on a different site like Ebay

I'm new to poshmark... I've made at least 4-5 offers on items and nobody responds! Is this the norm? I think I'll stick with ebay. Never had any problems there.

I've purchased a few minor things from sellers on this website-- which I really wanted! But Poshmark isn't all that it's cracked up to be! I had STELLAR experiences with two (2) sellers. Yet with the others (two to be exact) there was NO communication whatsoever. One order I had to cancel because I never heard from the vendor (God forbid something of a personal nature could have happened; because let's face it--this thing called 'life' happens!); The other vendor didn't even take the chance to say "Gott segne dich!" for the purchase. Again, I understand stuff happens! But you can at least be personable!

Another drawback; a lot of these sellers don't get back to you when a you pose a question regarding their merchandise. I don't understand if other 'poshmarkers' are wasting their time, if they're that overwhelmed selling their goods and wares or in all honesty they just don't want to be bothered! Yet whatever the reasoning my time will be very limited scouring for merchandise on this site.

I placed 3 orders with 3 different sellers. Each listing was described as like new and cost over $100.00. Order 1: ripped across back shoulders seam, visible only when pulled open while being worn - UNWEARABLE. Order 2: Looked good in photos but arrived badly wrinkled beneath arms, breast and at the waist - obviously worn and sweated in for hours NEEDED FUMIGATING. And was not 'like new'. Order 3: Never arrived - post office said it was delivered but it must have gone to the wrong address. Because Post Office said it had been dropped off, Posh Mark says this is my problem. Post Office insists it was delivered - but it wasn't. I work from home and talk to me mail carrier almost every day - she did NOT deliver it. TOTAL LOSS: $345.00 never again I'M DELETING MY POSH MARK ACCOUNT

Poshmark is such a joke. Theres so many negative reviews for buyers but sellers have it just as bad. Anything thats sold for over $15 they take a whopping 20% commission.

They have a failed system that allow consumers to report supposed counterfeit items and the moderator would remove listings without actual proof.

I listed an authenic Louis Vuitton purse that was a birthday gift from my mother that was purchased at the retail store at South Coast Plaza. I no longer have the paper insert or booklet and still had the dust bag and retail box. According to a fellow person on Poshmark, she said that my bag is a counterfeit and a replica due to looking at the date stamp on my photograph.

My listing was automatically removed soon after. Im beyond furious that my authentic bag was deemed to be counterfeit based on someones sole opinion. The system is flawed and allows consumers who are not professional luxury item authenicators to falsely report legitimate items. I sent Poshmark a copy of my receipt to appeal my listing being removed but still havent heard back from them.

I will be taking my business elsewhere. Its not worth the time and headache to sell on this website.

Christmas of 2020 I bought a Louis Vuitton Epi bag for my wife as she has always wanted one. Bag showed up in what I would assume was original box and bag. She was super surprised and loved it until 3 months later when the handles began to flake. Then 2 months ago the handle came unsewn and fell while at a dinner with a high profile client. So I go to the website to research return policy to find out that if the item is deemed not authentic and over $600 dollars we will get a full refund. The bag looked authentic other than not having a serial number. Had the patch and came in what looked like original wrapping however she has another Louis that is 20 years old and has stood the test of time other than the patina on the handles that looks better. Contacted support only to find out that if, and I quote "the product doesn't fit we can't take it back." It's a handbag you moron! I will never use these people again instead I will go to rebag! Multiple emails back and forth and they still have not honored their own return policy protocols!

Tip for consumers:
Don’t use this site they don’t follow their own return policy protocols.

DECEPTION is all they're selling.
I didn't subscribe, and yet once I got onto their email list, they never stop. I have asked to unsubscribe and been falsely promised it, when all that happens is more and more email. Every day for 6 months!
If you try to email them you get a "undeliverable" message...

I have multiple bad things that have happened while using Poshmark over the last 4 years. None of them were ever enough to make me leave the app, but now I'm over it.

(1) People leave you terrible reviews for no reason and there's nothing you can do about it. They claim you send them fake items even though they aren't or say the sizing wasn't right even though the tag says that size. I have no control over how a piece of clothing fits your body.
(2) I purchased a very expensive Louis Vuitton purse that arrived with damaged straps. They weren't terrible, but the damage wasn't disclosed. Poshmark did nothing about it. Luckily, I took it to the LV store and they fixed for free.
(3) I've purchased multiple items that never shipped so they don't ever weed out old accounts. Waste of time.
(4) I sold a jacket in perfect condition and the buyer opened a case against me claiming it was covered in sweat stains. Poshmark sided with the buyer. When I got the item back, it smelled like it was worn and had deodorant marks on it. It was not like that when I sent it. Buyer used it for what she needed and then opened a claim.
(5) Poshmark NEVER answers my emails. Their customer service is a complete joke. And there's no phone number.
(6) People offer really low on my items. I can have a $500 purse and someone will offer $50. Are you joking?!?

I used to love using Poshmark for the extra income but it's not even worth the headache anymore. Terrible company. Avoid.

As I started with Poshmark, I was enamored with the ease of posting items. Loved it. UNTIL, I had a scammer of a client on the other end of my sale. Poshmark immediately took their side, demanded a return, no matter my guarantee its authentic LV purse in new condition with pictures proven. They sided with buyer, who then, when never returned the item. So, they had to agree, I was correct they wanted the purse for free. THEN, AGAIN... my personal Hermès belt bought at the store, I never used so sold it. I got an instant 5 star rating, THEN Poshmark, pulled listing making client question authentic. They then shut my site down permanently! I dont have the belt, I dont have their so called proof! Give me belt and Ill take it to Hermès in Highland Park Village, Dallas and get REAL proof. You have slandered my reputation and business. This site sadly disappointed me. I am now losing income, due to their ignorance. I have seeked legal assistance and they will be hearing from my attorney. This is ridiculous! Sad to hear all the stories from the buyer side on this site too. Deeply offended. Research your facts Poshmark! Get fashion savvy help that does understand the words like faux, not pertaining to my belt. A faux pearl necklace that got pulled from my listing for being fake or counterfeit. The word FAUX means that... I might be from Texas but that does not me we are faxing the pearls! Educate yourself past high school!

Poshmark is the epitome of a terrible business-mostly for sellers. They let people return items simply because they weren't what they wanted or something and poshmark hardly takes into account the fact that this is not the sellers problem and that furthermore, returning an item that isn't even damaged is ok. I recently had a buyer that reported that 2 of the items were broken when they got to her but this couldn't be more untrue. She even stated herself in the comments that she had broken one of the Bracelets herself and the other was not even broken, just cracked (which she should have been able to see in the original ad and photos). I did not send damaged items or even items that were different from their listing. This is an unfair case of the buyer trying to return something simply because it's not what they expected. I have heard from many users that Poshmark unfairly accepts returns from buyers who do not have a legitimate reason and now I've experienced it firsthand. Absolute $#*! customer service and complete disregard of the business ethics they claim to follow. So honestly $#*! YOU POSHMARK. 0/10 would reccomend

I have bought twice on Poshmark. The first was fine, no problems. The second time I ordered a pair of shoes from a company that I know really well, so they fit fine but they reeked of cigarette smoke. I asked to return it, and the seller (the_trendy_spot) was nasty and hostile, calling me a liar and claiming that I'm returning it because it doesn't fit, which is not valid according to the terms of postmark. I sent a picture of me wearing the shoes to prove that it's not a fit issue.

The seller claimed that they could not have smelled of smoke because she knows the whole history of the shoes, even though they were not her shoes! Was she stalking someone else's shoes?

Poshmark took her side saying that the item was as described. Sure, the ad didn't claim that the shoes didn't smell like smoke, but isn't that kind of a basic assumption, that you're not buying something that reeks? And then Poshmark wrote that I could just resell it. What?!?! Suggesting that I resell something that reeks? They obviously deal with questionable people to suggest something like that.

I'm sure there are sellers who are what Poshmark advertises to be, selling gently used items they no longer wear. But there is a huge segment of people selling items that they get from thrift stores and garage sales - check the range of shoes and clothes sizes in their closets. With these 3rd hand sales, and horrible return policy, I think you'd have to be a sucker for punishment to buy from Poshmark - just go to your local consignment store or garage sale or thrift store and see, touch, and smell the item before buying.

I Love poshmark & sell with a closet full of 350++ Items. I pay 20% but have spoken Via Email with the lady in charge so I do not understand why others say they cant get a hold of anyone as I had NO PROB. Maybe no effort? I have purchased 100+ Items & YES, ALL My transactions have been great. I am happy for this site. Customer service is the Bomb & there ARE Great sellers on here. The share groups normally have the super sellers! GO FOR IT! Seriously, if you have a question I am here. I was reading some reviews & was disgusted by both buyer & seller not stepping up to their OWN responsibilities. I can pretty much promise that MOST of the 1star reviews are because someone is not taking responsibility for their own actions. WOW. Typical for this day & age. UGH,

OH BTW, Anyone that says anything about getting charged early on their CC is not telling the truth. See The seller DOES NOT get paid until the customer gets, receives & rates the item,. Shame Shame. SO PLEASE receive your items when you get it. It kind of stinks waiting for someone to except. I Follow the " Golden Rule on This site. If it is any other way with NO empathy it is not right. Just saying.

If you need to know more about an item PLEASE ask questions. The buyer will be more than happy. Respond with a thank you also. Be a Lady,. Be responsible, Know your measurements for bags, size for clothing & Ring size!

It is NOT the sellers fault if you are not correct when the size is given.

I sold my Hermes Apple Watch Band on September 19,2018 and shipped it
Overnight using a tracked Fed Ex package. Because I did not use the
Shipping label provided by Poshmark, they canceled the order and is
Refusing to pay me my portion of the earnings. I attempted to contact
Them through the only means you are able to contact them (I'm thinking
That this is due to the numerous complaints they must receive), which is
A short contact form that is submitted to them. You receive an
Automated response thanking you for your email and to let you know that
They will be in touch soon. NOPE, sorry, I have emailed them over 20
Times since October 5th 2018. It is now October 30th 2018 and still no
Response at all from Poshmark Support. They will not acknowledge me at
All. The buyer even contacted them and let them know she received the
Item, but still nothing. Buyer states that when the transaction was
Canceled the first time, her funds were returned. They asked her if she
Would like to repurchase the item so that it will show as sold again vs
Canceled, and she told them yes. They have kept her payment and refused
To pay me my portion of that sale.

This site is nothing but garbage. My most recent experience Svitlana Holovko purchased a really nice almost brand new handbag that I was selling on the site, she continually messaged me trying to get a better deal than what I was selling it for. I sold it for much less than I wanted to. When she got it she claimed that it was not what she thought she was getting and wanted a refund. She had the audacity to scratch up all the metal on my brand new handbag, and poshmark Made the decision that she was allowed to return this. She basically destroyed a brand new handbag, and Poshmark despite me trying to get a refund for what happened, would not allow that to happen. Below is what this $#*! did to my hand bag. I have a few items for sale and then I am closing my account due to the fact that they take such a large portion and they are nothing but a bunch of $#*!s to deal with. The woman in the photo is the one who did this to my handbag. Her name is Svitlana Holovko of Brooklyn New York.

I have to laugh at all the negative reviews on sitejabber regarding Poshmark.com. People, if you follow Poshmark's advice you will have few if any problems. We have had exactly one issue and it was the sellers fault, not Poshmarks. In fact, Poshmark quickly resolved the issue for us. Firstly, DO NOT respond to private email requests outside of Poshmark and then claim that it is Poshmark's fault when something goes wrong. Only sell through the Poshmark website! Do not PM anyone. More often than not you are getting scammed. Of course Poshmark charges you to sell on their website! You are paying for a service and for the the protection they provide if you sell the RIGHT WAY which is only through the website. You do not have to listen to lowballers just be patient and wait for someone to make an honest bid. If you follow their directions on sales and listings, Poshmark.com provides a safe and worry free method of selling high end items. We have no affiliation with Poshmark, I just hate to see them get blamed for other people's dumb mistakes.

I purchased a pair of loafers. The seller posted a photo of the sole of the shoe with 7.5M on it. In her listing she wrote:" Enzo Angiolini Size 7.5... "

I received a 6.5. When I opened my case I provided photos of the sole of the shoe, a screenshot of the seller's description, and my invoice with E. A. name and the size 7.5 on it.

The seller wrote: "I humbly apologize. This must have been a typo or oversight. What can I do to make it right?"

The next day I received the following message: "We've reviewed the case you submitted. Unfortunately, this case does not warrant a return." The buyer is encouraged to ask more questions of the seller.

My questions, which will never be answered is: where did the seller get a photo of an almost brand new EA shoe with 7.5M marked on the bottom of the sole?

Why did I receive a very used size 6.5 shoe?

I should have known better before I pulled the trigger, but I was spoiled by Amazon. I'd been made complacent by easy returns, and good customer service when things go wrong. I should have taken the time to Bing: Poshmark Complaints, and read the thousands of negative reviews.

Like thousands before me: I would give zero stars if I could.

I sold a woman an Adidas jacket that was worn once, perfect condition and looked brand new. I bought the jacket in an xs and decided I wasn't wearing it so I should sell it. Well I sent her the jacket and she opened up a claim about the jacket saying I sent her a size small and a jacket with a destroyed zipper. In my posting, I posted pictures of the tag and condition of the jacket that proved it was the correct size I posted which was an XS. It turns out that she already had a jacket in a size SMALL and wanted a size smaller with a WORKING zipper. She bought my jacket posted a picture of her old jackets tag and now POSHMARK is going to let her send me her old destroyed jacket. They won't respond to me and told me it was my fault even though I posted a picture of the tag. Now I am out a jacket and money and POSHMARK is ignoring me and siding with this woman who is obviously a scam artist. PLEASE do not sell on this app.

I recently made a purchase of a YSL bag which states in Flawless condition, as well as the buyer claimed the item to be in excellent condition and had only wore in 2-3x maximum, welp upon receiving it WASN'T in flawless/excellent condition AT ALL it had faded hardware, lost of shape, dirty interior etc. A case was open by me and Poshmark deny the claim giving the seller my funds even thought she deceived me.

I had never been to their site and one morning I was looking for a particular item I could not find on ebay so I typed in Poshmarks site where it said I had to "create an account and login." I've tried doing this as well as notifying them about the problem -TO NO AVAIL and it has been 3 months daily. I had to put in my e-address which they said they would use, I signed in thru facebook and it shows MY PICTURE dancing with my son at his wedding. It has repeatedly said that we cannot let you visit our site as someone else already has this e-adress when indeed that someone IS ME along with my picture. After all this crap and the complaints I have seen I was horrified yet glad I was unable to shop there! SHAME ON POSHMARK for stealing and lying to customers. As a seller buyers can be a nightmare. I usually find that the lower price items are the buyers that give me a headache on. I sold someone a bundle of 2 items for 9 dollars plus discounted shipping and they accepted. That day i shipped it out same day and was positive it would be an easy transaction. But boy was i wrong the buyer opened a case as not as described she said they were horrible items and there was a piece of dog hair on the item. Me and the buyer went back and forth arguing our side. I was sure poshmark would close the case and it be done but no they approved her case for the one piece of dog hair on the item. My profile is a pic of my dog and its captioned my dogs watching the items. I try my best to lint roll items but with a dog who sheds horribly sometimes a piece might be on the clothing thats why i disclosed i have an animal friendly home. Im mad that poshmark will approve cases for stupid reasons and there no return policy isnt accurate because someone will open a case and usually get a return. To make matters worse i once opened a case to return cause the new without tags hat was covered in dirt and i get denied the return. I think whoever reviews the cases just doesnt care and will approve cases just to not deal with them. So i am totally not pleased complete waste of time shipping the item and now waiting two weeks just to get stuff back that i wanted to sell complete waste of time.
