I bought something in the picture its looks like it is 4 feet long when i got it it was 4' long & they would not take it back or give me back my money
Be aware of false advertisement Poshmark allows. I bought pajama showing both top and pants on the picture and I only received the top. Poshmark is not helping me with this issue. They won't allow me to return it and get money back. I totally overpaid for a used piece of pajama top.
I have made several purchases through Poshmark already with no complications. It has super cute clothes from hundreds of stores for an amazing price. You can even download the app and sign up with the code PNFGG to get $5 credit to use on anything, including shipping!
Tip for consumers:
Make sure you talk to your seller, communication is key.
I hate these people! Seller lied about color. Pants are navy but it said black in the description. Customer service has completely ignored my request for refund. I am filing a BBB complaint and asking my bank to get my money back. Poshmark=crooks!
This app is amazing for both selling and buying. I've made almost 300 dollars in two months without even having to leave my house! It's more work than ebay and requires more interaction among potential buyers through sharing, commenting, and accepting/counter offering offers. But, it's so worth it. If you're selling ALWAYS show what damages your items have. If you're buying, buy from trusted sources by looking at their rating and lovenotes.
You may get lucky and deal with honest sellers, but if you don't, there is no protection for you. I purchased four items. Two were as advertised and with no issue. Of the other two, however, one was a complete scam. It was a homemade cheap knockoff, not what was advertised/shown in photos. The other item was a dry clean only sweater which had obviously been inappropriately cleaned and shrunk at least two sizes. (I have the exact sweater, same size, in another color, so I know.) I contacted customer support, received an auto-response, then nothing else. If things go well, it can be fine, but if there are any issues, there is no protection for you. As someone who has purchased on eBay for years and always had any issue promptly resolved, my experience here was shocking. Where eBay puts processes in place to discourage dishonest sellers, this site seems to only encourage them.
This App is terrible and I would not recommend joining it to anyone. I went on as a buyer to sell gently used clothes of well known brands for less (ex Wildfox, free people, mink pink)... Someone reported my item as counterfeit and without even looking into it posh mark just believed them and sent me a very condescending email.
I have reached out to Poshmark 5 times in the last month requesting a STOP to their continual emails. I have turned off ALL notifications and finally even deleted my account, to no avail. Also, there is NO customer service phone number listed in the website. The last response was "keep in mind that transactional emails (ie offer emails, order emails, etc) cannot currently be unsubscribed from.". I purchased sandals earlier this summer, and now receive a daily message of current sale items. I admit I am not the most tech savvy person, but after reaching out several times asking for a stop to the emails and all I receive back is the canned response on how I can do this myself, and yet it isn't working, for this reason alone, I will NOT make any further purchases due to these never ending, unsolicited emails that apparently cannot be blocked. Extremely dissatisfied.
Poshmark employees are fraudsters who approve each other's fake returns as they rob and steal from honest sellers by sending random items different than what they bought so they can keep the original items for free. These are the same unethical people who get to decide on claims. Unfair decisions of Poshmark claims are no surprise considering the unethical people in charge. This company continues to grow by the minute. They pay BBB for their B+ rating in spite of their average 1 star review across the entire internet including the BBB's own website. Definitely a F- rating deserved. No phone support just wait days/ weeks for email responses that resolve nothing. This company needs a class action lawsuit big time! Justice needs to be served for the innocent victims like myself!
Poshmark fees are so high that you can actually find the same exact product from the same seller for atleast $100 less on Ebay. Lesson learned- you can't cancel an order on Poshmark either unless it's been more than 7 days and the item was still not shipped. Here's a kicker, after 7 days, the option to cancel is completely removed from the site. Takes the fun right out of a purchase. Don't bother. You'll wait forever and get nothing but generic responses from their "customer service" reps. They should be ashamed of themselves and honestly, I'm surprised Poshmark is considered legitimate.
I have a hard time wrapping my head around why anyone uses PM. Ive been buying and selling on ebay for years and at first the app sounded appealing until I actually downloaded it and was shocked by what i found. Mandatory $6 for shipping? On TOP of a 20% commission fee? What?!?! That's insane, beyond insane. The only good thing about PM is the ease of finding what you're looking for, but with the cons of bad customer service (which shouldn't be an issue with how much $$$ they're making), fees, ridiculous shipping and the amount of scammers selling counterfeits there is no valid reason to sell on here. Buying maybe, but given that sellers have to hack up the prices to make any money at all most of what I've found isn't worth it.
I buy and sell on Poshmark. As a buyer you are able to ask questions, get additional photos and negotiate a price. As a seller, its easy to list an item, no cost until it sells, Poshmark handles the $ transactions, as well as other advantages to make a sale. I did have an issue with a purchase that Poshmark handled to my satisfaction. Some sellers are not honest about their product so as stated above, ask questions. Read the descriptions throughly. If buying shoes or handbags, make sure of close up pictures of bottoms too. I pride myself in wanting my buyers to absolutely love whatever they buy from my closet (and I always include an extra gift). I recommend all to use Poshmark - just be smart about it. Unfortunately there are peeps who will take advantage both buying and selling. (@splitmountain)
I purchased a dress, in fairness to the seller, the package came quickly and was thoughtfully wrapped. However the dress which was supposedly new (it did have tags) had a very offensive odor. I even had a neighbor verify. I contacted Poshmark and as reviews on other sites indicate, they most always side with the seller. In kind they offered me a $10 shopping credit, they can keep it, I will never buy from this site again. EBAY sellers are more customer friendly and most offer return policies. Poshmark does not allow any returns. In addition I looked everywhere for how to rate the seller, could not find anything that made that possible. Be cautious if you buy from this site.

Very unhappay as a seller on Poshmark, sold one thing the first day and since nothing. It seems more like a social media site than a business site.
Have hundreds of followers but no sales, don't understand how anyone makes money selling on Poshmark. I must be doing something wrong...
Purchased two pair of Gucci shoes. Have had toenail fungus because of the shoes. Never again. Using meds for a second year now. Stay away. Is not the company, is the used shoes that were in good shape. I will now buy directly from Gucci, money or not.
Fakes and scammers are rampant. There is so much counterfeit make-up, perfume, luxury goods and jewelry on here its not really good for anything but buying secondhand clothes. Poshmark doesnt really care or offer buyers any support when they are duped. Ebay is way better. This ring was sold to me as 14k set with a semi precious stone. The stamp on the ring says silver and the stone is plastic, because I missed their 3 day window, I was stuck with it, even when the seller offered to take it back. Poshmark ignored my request for help. Buyer beware.
The absolute worst as a buying/selling forum, and they favor some of the most dishonest and unreputable sellers in the market. I made an offer on an expensive item because the seller offered free shipping. My receipt showed free shipping, but the seller took out for shipping. I wanted right then and there to have nothing to do with this transaction, but somehow Poshmark took the funds from my bank without my releasing them (including the shipping), and I was not given the chance (as is your right) to review the seller or transaction (for the benefit of other buyers). All wrong and dishonest. There are WAY more reputable buying/selling forums out there... this is not one of them. Stick with eBay! And buyer beware... DO NOT use Poshmark!
Tip for consumers:
Don't.......there are plenty of other buying/bidding/selling sites out there. DO NOT use Poshmark!!! Buyer beware!!
Be careful when you purchase from the site. If something doesn't fit correctly, there's no obligation for them to take it back, and they don't. If they send you the size your ordered, you are then stuck with it. They are not like a commercial store or Amazon where returns are easy. Highly not recommend them.
Wasnt that bad of a website when it first started over a year or more ago. Now, sellers are scamming people, selling what ever they want: used bras, used bathing suits, toys, mens clothing & childrens clothing, electronics, perfumes, You name it it is sold on there... even furniture... it's a shame because the honest sellers who do follow the rules are getting burned by the scammers. I'd say shop elsewhere..

Just an update...2/2/16
The site is now getting even worse....A seller is selling tampons & maxi pads now plus hair dyes....seriously??? Always check with the sellers "Love Notes" before purchasing anything from them. Ask loads of questions as well...ask..ask...ask...everything. It will be under the item You bought for proof....Stay clear of watches too....they say the batteries work on the watch...then...when You receive it the battery is dead. Then they swear it was ticking when they shipped
Absolutely horrible... my account was just suddenly suspended. Never made a sale, never posted anything, and suddenly bam! Customer service is rude and slow, never responds or tries to help you, just seems like they have bots running it. Get nearly 20 notifications *******@pm_editor all day long with stupid parties that I don't care for, have tried blocking them, reporting as spam, turning off notifications, but nothing has worked. Made my first purchase, and seller has still not shipped. There is no way to contact seller as my account is mysteriously suspended, and I better get my money back as I borrowed my friend's paypal to pay for this. Extremely frustrated and annoyed. The $7.49 shipping fee is also ridiculous and it is clear that this company is just a cash grab for the owners. Absolutely horrible on all levels. Stick to depop or etsy instead.

don't even use it.

nothing! never got anything from them.
This was a fun, easy to use site.
I found some lovely items, sold
Things I no longer wear.
Then the rules regarding retail selling
Were changed.
The site is now overrun with overpriced
Low quality Asian clothing & jewelry.
Sellers on Posh follow the 'buy it for $2 -
Sell it for $40' rule.
Save your $$$ & buy from the same places they do,
Ebay, Wish, Sammydress etc...
I'm not sure what these other people are complaining about poshmark sales paid for my new 2019 car. Yeah you get some returns but i mean that happens on ebay. You're technically working retail while you get to sit in your pajamas in the luxury of your own bed lol. Theres retail memes for a reason. But stick with the script and you'll be fine.
You cannot trust sellers. They don't police sellersfor inactivity ( I made offer never responded, seller has been inactive for months but has like 14 items for sale); also had seller sell me item then cancel it saying she can't find the item. Ridiculous. Poshmark responded saying buyer should look at dates when seller last did something?/! Lame. They really cannot be trusted. Plus seller has 7 days to ship while they are holding charge on your credit card. That's a scam... Ebay requires seller to ship in 2 business days!
I started selling on Poshmark about 7 years ago. I sold handbags, shoes and clothing. I made a little over $1000 in the first year. After a while as more and more people signed on I found that every time someone made an offer on one of my items, it was significantly lower than what I listed it for. Each time that happened I looked at the buyer's profile and they had no listings at all; they were only in it to buy, and cheaply. It was a much better experience when the members both bought and sold items and understood what a reasonable offer was. It was no longer profitable to sell and I finally deleted my account.
I purchase what was suppose to be a kimono-I received a big shawl with a cutout for the neck. I submitted photos to Postmark and they denied my return.
Does anyone really question why there's no returns allowed on that site? Because this way Poshmark continuously makes a 20% commission for doing virtually nothing. Lousy customer service, lowball buyers, and exhausting "spreading the love" interaction. In three days I purchase three items totaling $1070. 00-I'll never spend a penny on there again.
I attached a photo of my new "kimono" it's shameful
Tip for consumers:
run the other way
Bought a womens turtleneck shirt When received still had store tag. Store tag was T. J, Max who normaly sell defective items at a discount. For this reason I would not recommend buying from poshmark its Russian roulette.
I had 2 different sellers take forever to ship my items. Poshmark states you can cancel after 7 days if the seller hasn't shipped your order however after contacting the site to report the sellers, poshmark never even gave me that chance they just sent an email back to me 2 days later saying we tracked your purchase and its now shipped. Sellers are rude and don't respond once you order. The site is full of fakes even though Poshmark states that fakes are not allowed. Buyer Beware! If you sell on this site anything over $15 and poshmark takes 20%! And buyers want something for nothing and keep asking for you to lower prices that are already basically giving it away, I assume because most closets are full of knockoffs so the seller is listing theirs way cheaper since its from china and not the real thing. Bottom line, bad site whether your a buyer or seller. Stick with ebay!
Poshmark is the #1 place to buy and sell fashion. Shop millions of closets across America? And sell yours too!
