Be aware of false advertisement Poshmark allows. I bought pajama showing both top and pants on the picture and I only received the top. Poshmark is not helping me with this issue. They won't allow me to return it and get money back. I totally overpaid for a used piece of pajama top.

I don't understand how there can be so many negative things to say about Poshmark- I have so much fun making money on this app that it's almost too easy. I sell on eBay, IG, Posh, and to other clients. With Poshmark don't expect to make tons of money as a seller if you're selling an item that's rare (go to eBay for that or even 1stdibs).

The best thing about Poshmark is that yeah there's a lot, a LOT of crap that you have to sift through, but when it's gold it's gold. I've purchased Dior by Galliano, Gaultier, Christian Lacroix, and a ton of other amazing things (authentic and cheap). If you just keep your eyes open, do a quality control, ask the right questions, and get a feel for what the seller has listed then you can get a great idea on how to manage yourself.

I returned an item that I thought was fake, boom got my money back. A buyer tried to contest a purchase from me because he read the listing wrong, boom claim got denied, I got to keep my money. It's really that simple, folks- read the fine script (which is pretty straightforward), follow up on items you don't like, don't want, or aren't satisfied with and you'll end up happy. I assure you.

But hey- if there are so many people deleting the app I guess that will leave more Versace for me! ;)

Appears as if I m going to have to get tough and file mail fraud against them. I submitted a redemption request 5/25 and still do not have my money. And for a near $100 profit... might not be to some, but that's a lot of $$$ to me right now. Email says they've escalated to their 'internal team'. Curious if anyone else is having this issue.
UPDATE: funds finally came through after multiple comms; however, I am NOT happy that I was out my merchandise for around 12 days before rcvng payment. Gee, wonder if you'd get an order from Amazon if you informed them it would be 12 days before payment would arrive... I think not. They didn't even offer me anything to try and make it right, no site credit, nothing. Have, to say though, as response to some here that complain about long CS response time, they got back to me w/in several hours, so perhaps have beefed up staff. I'll stay for now, but am moving to vinted. Com as well... Tradesy is also an option, but their commission is on high side too. Great merchandise here, & some great sellers... I am one, but as with anything you have to do your homework... good luck!

I have been using PM for a while now but haven't had a major problem until now. A buyer recently filed a report stating the item I sold wasn't as described & provided photos to PM only. As other reviews they ruled in the buyers favor and allowed the return. All the while I knew my item was new without tags &! No significant flaws. I received the supposed return yesterday only to find that this girl sent me her own DIRTY OLD T-SHIRT AND KEPT MINE! I am LIVID! I filed a complaint with Poshmark but have yet to hear from their support team. To top it off, they already released this scammer's funds back to her! BEWARE OF POSHMARK- unless they start taking DRASTIC MEASURES ASAP!

Fortunately I have been able to sell a few things and the transactions have gone smoothly. One item got disputed even though my listing was completely honest. I blame the buyer for not asking more questions. Instead of trying to win the case, I asked Poshmark to send me my item back -- I don't want an unhappy buyer saying negative things about me! Since there's no way to DM someone, our interactions are public which is so annoying. Another buyer purchased a brand new with tag still attached item from me for $10 (the cheapest thing I have), it was shipped next day. She had the nerve to give me a 2-star rating. WTF. I have no way of asking her what her prob was without doing so publicly and risking she sat something nasty and untrue. People are weird and a lot of the stuff is garbage -- cheap crap. I'm hesitant to try to keep selling what I already have on there and I certainly would never buy off the site. Between the crap, crappy customer service, email scammers, low ball offers, and people asking to trade when you specifically say NO TRADES, not sure it's worth the effort.

My excitement at purchasing nice clothes at reasonable prices turned to disappointment and frustration upon receiving my first item. I'm a medium but the shirts I purchased were more like a child's medium. When I immediately tried to cancel the remaining purchases (all the same brand) I discovered with disgust that Poshmark's customer service is all by email. Furthermore, by the time I received an email response, it was to late to stop the purchases, nor would Poshmark accept any returns without photo proof that the shirts didn't fit; as if I'm going to send personal photos of me, half dressed, to a company that has no face! Such a policy exposes the customer/buyer to potential Cyberspace nightmares! Poshmark boasts that it has made millions in just a couple of years... not hard to do with its very clever (sleezy) return policy combined with charging the buyer $5.00 per item. Yep, Poshmark's owners/CEO's etc, can really pride themselves for making millions by ripping the buyer off while hiding behind emails. Thanks to Poshmark, I'm now stuck with a bunch of shirts that I have to try and sell. I'll stick with ebay, and will never deal with Poshmark again.

I opened a closet. My first sale of a pair of Old Gringo boots went very well. Then I listed some Hermes Oran shoes. I had no idea how sought after they were. I bought them in France while home visiting family. First off, they asked to see the stamp. Then ladies claimed my shoes were fake all the while giving me low ball offers. I had listed the shoes for $300 and they normally sell for $680 and up. I had worn them maybe twice... so rather new. Long story short I sold them for $200 and the girl claimed they were "sticky". She also sent pictures of the edge with on scratch. I did not recall that being there. She pulled on the edges claiming the shoes were falling apart. Even with her yanking the shoes were fine. I asked her if the shoes fit and got crickets. I later was reading that Poshmark does not issue a refund request if its based on fit. So, there you have it. It is my firm belief the shoes didn't fit so she had to make up other issues. Ultimately, Poshmark approved the return and their reason "scuff" Now I am awaiting my shoes to return to me and I fear in what condition they will come back. I have decided to no longer sell on Poshmark. They did nothing to protect my shoes or me as a seller. Even with her pictures of her being rough with the shoes... unreal.

I purchased a pair of shoes from on of their buyers. The shoes arrived on Thursday and they literately fell apart in my hands. I filed a case on Friday (less than 24 hours)... They asked to pay return shipping to them. I spent $23.51 shipping the shoes back to them and now they're saying they won't reimburse the shipping because it took longer that 72 hours for the case to be filed. They apparently don't work weekends so when I filed the case at 1:37 pm on Friday they apparently didn't see it till Monday and that's my fault! So they are now not paying me the return shipping... NEVER BY ANYTHING FROM POSHMARK! Most everything on their site is fake anyway so buyer beware... DON'T GET BURNT... THIS IS A SCAM OPERATION.

I am closing my closet because the platform has drastically changed. I keep my prices very real. Brand new, very current denim is under 20.00... but, if you follow any poshmark Facebook page you will see that so many women aim to actually make a living doing this. Boutiques are now everywhere and they are ridiculously overpriced and the inventory is exactly the same. Quality is poor, poor, poor. If I see one more pair of legging paired with a cold shoulder tunic, I think I'll puke! The site experiences frequent hacks and banking info is compromised along with credit card fraud being rampant. Customer service is overseas, so any support takes 48-72 hrs and is mostly copy and paste responses due to the language barrier... not at all helpful. I really feel your best bet is still in retail shopping. You get excellent customer service and if you don't you can resolve issues on the spot. I'm no longer a fan and feel it's cashing in on the ease of online shopping that leads to over shopping, that leads to money problems that leads to desperate women needing to resell their clothing... or shopping remorse that causes people to then destroy items and open claims for a refund... it's filled now with scamming and unethical shoppers. NOT WORTH IT.

They have parties and sometimes I'll try to join if I have an item the party is held for. Sometimes they tell me my item isn't eligible. I email "customer support" asking why that's happening, I get a form email saying they'll get back with me in a few days. Well, that's REAL helpful... Anyone who is giving this site more than 1 star either hasn't been on long enough, or hasn't needed customer support at all. I buy//sell on about 6 or 7 other sites, and they ALL have a phone # you can call to speak to a real person. Posh has total control over whatever payment you registered at the start. Ive gotten some good deals, but balanced with the selling problems, lack of customer support, too much "offering" a LOT less for my item, and too much "sharing" and "liking" without sales, the other sites are 100% better than this one. And they do take more money than most. On the other sites I do my own shipping and a lightweight item saves the customer a lot. What is happening with the extra $$? I'm assuming the post office refunds them overages. That's probably a lot of money. Look their corporate office up online. It says it's a great place to work. I'm sure it is!

The customer service is the WORST. I bought a vintage tea set and it was received in broken condition. I contact the seller IMMEDIATELY and heard nothing and also contacted Poshmark Customer Service Immediately (this was on a Friday afternoon following delivery). Poshmark got back to me on TUESDAY saying I had three days after receipt to file a complaint? They offered me $30 in Poshmark shopping credit. I'm stuck with a broken tea set and I'm minus $60. No Thanks! I'll shop somewhere else and if I can influence anyone else to NOT SHOP there, I will.

Like so many people on this page, I went through the countless emails of describing my problem. There is no phone or chat so you can readily get things taken care of. It is a long waiting process to get a problem taken care of. I ordered shoes from an irresponsible, incompetent seller who couldn't even get the package scanned at the post office. Even with the USPS website available and it stating no package for them to ship, I still had to wait 19 days to get my refund. Here is the happy note, they just as of today refunded my money for this horrible experience. With that being said I would like to express my sincere empathy to all the people on this website that never got refunds and were taken for even more money than they gave consent to. I think it overall boils down to the seller you choose. There is no rating system that I can see for sellers with feedback so you know if these people are okay or not. Oh, also of note, my seller was able to somehow block my messages so I could not correspond with them.

In the end, however, I gave them a 3-star review because they did do the professional thing and refund my money to Paypal, the ordeal it was.

Maybe they will implement more suitable criteria for sellers. But I'm taking my account down.

I was a first time buyer and purchased 2 items from 2 different sellers and they have 7 days to ship out your items. I received no messages back and waited 8 days and they both still didn't ship them out and I just cancelled both orders, WHAT A WASTE OF TIME! Plus the shipping rates are outrageous, $6.95 plus they charge the seller 20%! If I was a seller, I would never use this site, Ebay is alot better and the sellers actually respond and ship out the items ordered.

I've decided to close my account on Poshmark. I've bought over a thousand dollars worth of items on Poshmark and my experience has been overwhelmingly negative. I'm a buyer, not a seller. At least four times a seller has not shipped items after I bought them and has given me the runaround. On this last occasion I waited two weeks for the seller to ship the items. Told me they didn't have tape (priority tape is free at the post office). In other words just blatant lies. On another occasion I received a counterfeit dress. On three other occasions I received a dress full of stains. On another occasion there was stains with blood (menstruation). I mean disgusting stuff. And yet, even with the sellers selling counterfeits, stained items, their accounts remain open. When you open a case and return the stained item you bought, you can no longer leave feedback which defeats the points. There is no way for buyers to warn other buyers not to buy from sellers selling counterfeit because the seller will block you, delete the listing and your post and you can't leave honest negative feedback when the transaction is cancelled. I feel strongly that buyers are getting the short end of the stick. Sellers who don't fulfill transactions, or sell counterfeits, stained items should not be allowed to sell. Their accounts should be closed because they are creating a bad experience for the buyer. But Poshmark doesn't care about the buyer. All they want to do is trick you out of your money.

I'm new to poshmark. I usually use eBay but thought I'd give u a try. I buy mostly clothes. A few things I've noticed. There is hardly ever details on the items measurements, decent pics brand, condition. U have to contact the seller who most of the time takes forever if at all to answer. I mean who offers an item u can't see a complete shot of. Thats the state of most of the items I see. There are pictures of the top of a dress only. U request more pics or ask the length - they never answer. One buyer said they didn't know because it was already packaged to mail if sold. WHAT? It's like they don't want the money. Your shipping is just too high. It is difficult to pay 20 bucks for something that weighs not even 16oz and should ship for no more than 4 first class USPS and pay almost 6 to u to ship. Which by the way does not ship out right away. I have yet to find more than 1 item from the same seller to do a bundle. I have tried. I have pasted on at least 20 dresses probably more because of the high shipping and lack of responses It causes me not to buy and look on ebay or elsewhere. U really need to rethink the shipping price and require details from the sellers with better feedback. Shopping should be a pleasurable experience U have been too time consuming and frustrating. I'm going to clean a few of my likes and probably put u far on the back burner to use if looking for something very specific I can't find on ebay. So sad.

It's a pretty awesome site, it's not perfect but it's one of the better selling apps out there. I don't like that the shipping is so expensive or the 20% sellers fee makes low offers impossible to make money on. The low ball offers can be bad to they should have a cap that it can't have an offer less than 30% off asking price. A buyer making an offer for 3.00 nets the seller a nickel. I also don't like how people bundle items with no intention of ever buying in the first place, and I absolutely hate all the stock photos and photos from the Internet it's actually illegal and copyright infringement but so many do it and nothing is ever done about it same as inspired by or mislabeling the brands for more views. Overall you can make money on this site but you have to invest time you get sales by following sharing and being active if you do none of these things you won't see sales. But for me it's better than mercari vinted or eBay. Just use caution and respect as both a buyer and seller. If you want a quick buck this isn't for you.

I do believe that PM is crazy expensive and not worth selling on especially since people are uncomfortable buying due to high prices( that unfortunately you have to make high to make anything). Buyers tend to complain or make lowball offers due to high shipping and seems to complain to the sellers as though it's their fault. Selling on PM can be an extremely slow process and I'm assuming due to how expensive it is because when I browse I find my self really hesitant. Also PM did not refund me my money for a purchase that was not as described but instead offered me $7 credit for something I paid $15 for. I definitely think they are a greedy company with no true care for its users. So since I denied their offer they never refunded me. I still browse around some but may just delete the app because your not getting much a deal unless your bundling items due to the high shipping. Also you do have to be careful what you buy on there, if you choose to buy on there I recommend you read the reviews for each seller. Some people just don't ship your items at all which happened to me twice and that sucks because I really wanted both items. Customer services isn't the best either and hopefully you have a posher willing to work with you. Be cautious but also know there are some good sellers on there who enjoy what they do. I would recommend Mercari it's way less expensive, flexible shipping and no commission fee.

I purchased A Fendi bag from a seller on PM.I paid $520 for the bag, it had to go thru PM Headquarters to be authenticated. The bag passed their unprofessional authentication process.I received the bag 4 days later. As soon as I saw it.I knew that this bag was a cheap knockoff.Poshmark so called Authentication card was the biggest insult.A postcard.with someone's initials written with a black marker in scribble. This is their way of not accepting responsibility.(no real names.just initials)…I can tell that the seller had the bag gift wrapped in a professional manner.PM just took the bag threw it in a box threw the ribbon and the torn tissue paper on top of the bag, and sent it to me.The presentation looked like trash.Despite all of that.I took the bag to a luxury handbag boutique here, to have authenticated. It came back Inauthentic.Poshmark is a ripoff. They set me up to be ripped off.And because the 3 days window to open a request had already passed.I am stuck with a $520 plus tax.fake Fendi bag. Thanks Poshmark.Avoid this site, unless you want to get ripped off..

DO NOT sell anything of value. Poshmark allowed a buyer to keep my authentic Louis Vuitton designer bracelet and refunded them, would not send it back to me and said they were disposing of it. They said this was because they could not authenticate it. It was never sent to them for authentication as I sold it for less than $300. So based on the customer not being sure it was authentic and some customer service employee with questionable intelligence they made the decision to steal my bracelet and claw back my earnings. Meanwhile they allow hundreds of thousands of obvious fakes to circulate and sell continuously. All the Polene bags for sale are fake. At a 20% cut and falling company value why wouldn't they let it continue? In this case they seem to have sided with the buyer because they're losing buyers. It's insane how they can arbitrarily decide my actually authentic bracelet was a counterfeit item without proof. They didn't even follow their own policy and I have began legal action. Steer clear of this site especially if you have items that are if any real value because you might not get them returned to you if the buyer opens a case. And it's going to be some employee from a very tight knit family that decides your fate.

This website seemed to have a bunch of great stuff for next to nothing, and I was so tempted, but I read all of these horrible reviews. As a result, I was incredibly skeptical, but I found a dress from Anthropologie (originally overpriced obviously) for like $10, so I took the gamble... it arrived in perfect condition, clean, nicely wrapped, and the seller was great. Gambled again & got the same result.

I'm moving to Australia and basically needed a whole new wardrobe. I've purchased pretty much everything on poshmark, and I've gotten such amazing stuff (really beautiful clothes& a few rare finds) for much less than I intended to spend. Overall the sellers have been awesome... wrapping stuff up like gifts, including extra presents. I've gotten a few duds (dirty stinky clothes, stuff not in great shape), but they've been few & far between.

I basically got the coolest clothes ever for about 1/4 the price. I'm so so happy with the site for buying.

Having said that, I probably wouldn't sell there. They take 20% (compared to e-bays 10), and it seems like they don't screen for creeps.

I love love love this site! 5/7 with rice!

I'm not ashamed to admit it but I am a relatively experienced seller on ebay - not for profit, but as a garage sale type of deal. I don't have any volume seller discounts or any of that, but roughly depending on the price range - I always estimate about 15% fees for ebay including seller fees and paypal fees. I have done comparisons by listing items on both Poshmark and ebay and by far, ebay sells faster and yields more profit. Then again, a lot of Poshmark is social based - it encourages you to share other people's items on social media so that they share yours, etc. Poshmark's fee is 20% no matter what, and their shipping is 4.99 (I recall there being a weight limit). It actually whittles down what you make and in many cases, if you are selling light items that fit in first class mail - shipping can be a paltry $2.00 or so if you use ebay's labels. That being said, ebay requires a bit more "effort" - better photos, more listing options and though they have an app now, listings may take more time to set up. I think Poshmark is for people who don't want to spend that much effort to get rid of their stuff, don't really mind how much they get back and want the process to be relatively simple. Having not actually sold any items (mostly due to the very low ball offers I received on top of the fees), I cannot comment on any other aspects.
