Be aware of false advertisement Poshmark allows. I bought pajama showing both top and pants on the picture and I only received the top. Poshmark is not helping me with this issue. They won't allow me to return it and get money back. I totally overpaid for a used piece of pajama top.

I have made 39 purchases on Poshmark. Of these purchases I:
-Disliked six items that just weren't comfortable or the size didn't fit. This is reasonable to expect this to occur.
-Three items were never shipped by the seller. There I was eagerly anticipating them and days went by and there was no response from the seller and the item never went out. When a sale is canceled (because you cancel or it times out, you don't get to leave feedback on the transaction. What?!)
-One item (a designer bag) came with pen marks all over the inside that were not disclosed. I sent it back. The bag was priced not much less than retail. I ended up paying maybe $20 more to get the bag with a teacher discount new from the designer's site.
Now maybe you are thinking that 4 out of almost 40 experiences were negative. But that's 10%. Throw in the items that didn't work (but that you cannot return on Poshmark) and 25% of my purchases were a thumbs down.
POSHMARK- you need to give buyers the opportunity to review sellers who don't complete the transaction. There is ZERO accountability for sellers who just don't follow through. Also, the shipping practices are hit/miss. I received a silk scarf shipped in a large flat rate box and I sometimes get things where additional USPS materials are used inside a package as packaging. This is wrong and environmentally not friendly. I'd like a first class option for shipping for t-shirts and scarves and things of that sort.

Tip for consumers:
I recommend canceling orders not shipped within 5-7 business days to teach sellers to ship in a timely manner.

Purchased an item thru Poshmart as many other comments. The seller never shipped and Poshmark makes it difficult to cancel. Terrible site see what you buy and stay local and help a local business

Poshmark does not follow their terms of service... AT ALL! Even after an item has been sold, and the payment has been released to the seller after 3 days, Poshmark representatives will bombard you with emails saying they returned the money to the buyer because she is unsatisfied. I received these emails 3 WEEKS after the purchase had been made. The buyer has now had time to wear the item around and do whatever she pleases with it. Poshmark said if I did not GIFT the payment through Paypal (using the friends & family option - which would cost me money to do), they wiould restrict my account within 30 days. Within a week, I receive another email from Poshmark saying they have restricted my account. Why? Because I used to money out of my account to buy an item so they could not take it from me. If they illegally charge my credit card, I will be personally suing them. I have over 400+ photos of this site allowing sellers to sell REPLICA fake items and doing nothing about it. Even when you report these listings, Poshmark does not do anything to delete the listing. They only care about getting money any way they can. Be prepared to get ripped off on this site by either buying or selling at one point or another.

I will never purchase anything over $15 again.
This policy is in fine print (not in listings). To know this you would have to search their FAQ section. And you will have to search a bit to find its return policy. It is not in the community guidelines, how to buy on poshmark, nor is there a link at the bottom of the page for "return policy," which seems deceptive considering it is so strict.

It seems pretty outrageous for an online clothing site, resale site, to not allow buyers to return an item. All stores have return policies and state that policy boldly.
There is nothing wrong with the expensive dress I purchased, but I don't like the way it looks on me or the decorative flowers (they looked flat in the photos, but in real life stick out 1/2" along the bust).
Well, shame on me for assuming I could return it promptly in the condition I received it. Shame on me for not researching return policy before purchasing.

I'm not sure who can say that they have never returned a single piece of clothing after getting home and trying it on.

I am not going to purchase on Poshmark ever again for anything wearable. I'll stick to Ebay or Etsy for styles that are no longer current and in the shops.

No communication, no one to talk to. "posh" mark should change its name to "POS"mark due to the way they treat the sellers that put 20% profit of their sales into their pocket. Their is no loyalty to sellers that work their tails off listing merchandise and then having the entire collection deleted and being banned from selling permanently, because this HORRID company with ludicrous policies only stands behind the buyer, no matter what lies they tell. Sell on ETSY and EBAY. Two great companies that are fair to both sides and YOU set the price without dealing with low ballers, that in the end, cause you to have your account revoked when they lie about the merchandise they received. STEER CLEAR OF P-O-S Mark -_-

Ok, first the thing that I believe everyone can agree on is the OUTRAGEOUS shipping rates (they also go up every year). The company charges you a fortune for something inexpensive to be shipped even though they don't lift a finger to take 20% of what you sell. I wouldn't mind if they covered shipping because it's the least they can do. Say if you buy a cute necklace for 5 bucks... well you're paying more than double after shipping. You're better off going to a local thrift store. Second, if you are a seller you have NO protection (buyers either won't read descriptions, get the wrong size, not like how it looks on them or sabotage your items to get a refund). Sometimes buyers will give you a bad rating just cause they are having a bad day. I've had items in perfect condition get bad ratings for no apparent reason. That's retail I suppose! I've also bought things and the seller never shipped my items. It's your responsibility as a seller to ship things in a timely manner. Honestly it's getting to be more than a headache than a way to make money.

Awesome site! I've been buying and selling on Poshmark for a year now, and never had any problems.
You buy clothes from PEOPLE... not businesses. So prices are great and you can communicate any questions before any purchase.

Exact measurements are typically listed on each item so there is no guessing about shrinkage. And if measurements are not listed... you can ask the seller!

The app is super easy to use... for buying and selling.

There are some old listings and stagnant sellers that stop using the app, so you should be sure what you are buying is newly listed (it is real easy to see when the item was listed/edited).
This is where ALL the complaints from people not getting their item come from. It's because they do not check if the listing is old or not. It's like trying to buy an item from a catalogue printed years ago.

Also... it is not like eBay where you "rent" clothing and then return it. You should only buy something if you want to keep it. Returns are allowed however only if there are problems... not because you wanted to wear it once only, or have buyers remorse.

Lastly... it's not amazon and your item won't arrive tomorrow. Sellers are given up to 7 days to ship your order (however most ship within 2 days). If your item does not ship in 7 days Poshmark automatically refunds your $.
Once shipped all items travel via Priority Mail... 2-3 days shipping time MAX!

Overall... GREAT deals! GREAT app!

Scammed by a seller and customer service has done nothing other than email me the same auto reply from the same customer service rep. I've sent photographic proof but to no avail. It's been over a month and there's been no resolution and no way to speak to anyone at Poshmark

There is 0 seller protection on this app. Poshmark claims items cannot be returned unless it's specifically misrepresented in the original listing. I recently had a case opened on an expensive Michael Kors purse (BRAND NEW) I sold. The buyer claims there were stains/marks on the item. It took over a week for the case to be reviewed and ultimately approved. I emailed them multiple times on how uncomfortable I was having my $200 purse just sitting in a random person's house. Of course I did not receive a reply. Their customer service is lacking to say the least. I eventually received the item back sans any "stains" or "marks"... HMMM... that's odd. I wonder what Photoshop program the buyer used to transpose stains on my purse. It also smelled of cigarette smoke which is absolutely disgusting given that I don't smoke. Oh, I also had a buyer return an item for a LOOSE STRING (that's the reason I was given) and Posh approved.

I also would like to mention how absolutely obnoxious their fees are. 20%? Really? I'm already marking the item down to appease any potential buyer and your scamming me out of 20% of my profit. It's funny how apps like Mercari and Vinted can get away with low fees. Even Ebay isn't as bad and that's a much larger platform.

Although I have 10,000 followers and have had the app for two years, I will slowly be closing my account down because I no longer feel comfortable selling ANYTHING on there.

I have ordered numerous times it's hit or miss but a few times I didn't get my purchase and I emailed also where it asks to accept order I told them I didn't get it and nothing no email no nothing and few days later it says accepted no not there missing nothing so if you don't get what u ordered ur shhhiiittt outta luck

I bought a luxury ice bucket from poshmark 10 days ago and the seller sent me a text message yesterday saying that they dont know where the item I bought is. They cannot find the item in their house or warehouse, and asked me for more time to wait. THIS IS A SCAM! You dont post things for sale that you dont know where they are at! Then, there is no customer service on poshmark. You call and nobody answers the phone. You report a problem on their website but nobody answers either. I WILL NEVER EVER USE POSHMARK AGAIN!

I've been using Poshmark for a few months now, and so far I'm moderately impressed. I have had pretty good business and have found some really great deals! However, I have had two customers that have given me a great deal of trouble. First, one buyer commented on an item I had listed and asked for so much information. I did my best to answer everything as they were blowing up my comments section! Most of the stuff they wanted to know was in my item description. They must have not seen it... (it's directly below the pictures of the items!) Anyway, after I answered all her questions, she bought the item. I happily printed out the shipping label and was going to ship it the next day. Literally, a day later, she cancelled the purchase saying it was "an accidental purchase". By this time, she would have had to enter her card info and shipping info, everything! I think there should be a time limit before a buyer can cancel a purchase. It was very frustrating. What if I had sent out the item already? I would loose money and she keep the item. My second customer did the same thing, except she actually received my items and filed a complaint that it wasn't as described, and wanted a full refund! Luckily I didn't have to pay for return shipping, but seriously, all the information was correct on the item. I don't know if they misunderstood the details, but regardless, it was correct information! Bottom line: careful who you sell to! Those that offer significantly less than your listing price are not to be trusted! They are looking to pull a scam.

I recently sold my engagement ring on this site for 1600$. The original price was 3500. I listed photos of the ring along with the enhancer/engagement band but in the description i said " engagement/enhancer band NOT included". The ring was sent to poshmark headquarters first and was approved then sent to the buyer. The buyer sent a request for return in right away stating that i didn't include the engagement band. UM IT WASNT INCLUDED lol. Poshmark approved her return. How ridiculous. Why would you approve a return when the description clearly state that the band was not included. I tried calling customer care to find out they don't even have a customer care. I wanted to make sure the buyer includes insurance on the ring to make sure it is safely returned. There is not guarantee that this buyer will even send my ring back. So now i sit and wait a few days before christmas to receive this ring back and will have to re list it somewhere else because this site is a freaking joke and NOT safe. Please do not list expensive items on this site. The 20% they take is too much. No guarantee you will every receive your money... thanks for reading. Wish me luck!

Posh Mark is a go between the seller and you, I recently ordered an item and they said shipping would be 5 to 7 days, I responded 12 days later because I did not receive my item and I got an email saying they tried to contact the seller but the seller doesn't respond and I can cancel my order and then they tell me that it could be 15 business days till I see my money again, I highly recommend you shop somewhere else!

I loved this app... made lots of $ and had tons of followers then one day a user named mxnicole or something started harassing me.id block her, shed make a new account. Went in 4 24 hours and i reported each incident. Finally i snapped and said something about feeling bad for her. Next day my 200 listings i had carefully made were deleted. I was banned 4 life. I had made sales but not shipped before being banned so i sent them and one was reported as not getting her order even though usps had delivered it.the other order i had accidentally put the wrong label on. They keep track of every package thats sent. All of a sudden they lie and claim they cant track the package and ti contact the person i sent it to(im blocked from talking to anyone) so i lost $40. It took a week 4 then to respond and they lied. They give third parties access to your information ie credit card. They favor some users over others(the girl that harassed me with 5 accounts is still a member) and they steal. Also take 20% of your sale. Use vinted or mercari... you keep your money and they are legit

I do not sell on Poshmark - I only purchase. Thankfully, I have had no issues with the few items I have ordered. When I purchased recently, it automatically paid my item through paypal without adhering to my security issues with paypal... I must be sent a text from paypal to confirm it is me. Yet, It bypassed that and It automatically paid. I was baffled. Since Poshmark never responded I contacted paypal who said I had signed a billing agreement with Poshmark to automatically pay them! I did nothing of the kind, especially since I do not sell on their site. I would never do anything like this with any company. I was quite upset to hear that and I had paypal remove it. Not only did Poshmark not respond to my inquiry, they sent me an email asking me to rate the girl who helped me! I never got a response - I didn't know who it was and nobody ever contacted me. I told them that and still I have not heard from anyone. This is pretty much going to be my last purchase with them - I'm not even comfortable buying on this site. Because if there is an issue with an item, I will probably never hear from them. I also tried to contact the seller and tho you could type the email to them there was no way you could send it? Beware of your payment situation if you use this site or better yet beware of them period.

Tip for consumers:
Make sure you know what payment modes they have access to and check that all out before you purchase on this site.

This happened to me and Poshmark will do it to YOU! I sold and shipped an item as a regular seller. Bc USPS never picked up tracking on the package Poshmark CANCELED AND REVERSED the transaction even though I provided proof of delivery! So the buyer received my bag and Poshmark canceled the payment. Absolutely no recourse available unless I sue. Do NOT be fooled
Into buying or selling on this ridiculous platform with zero control of your transaction!

Placed order Sept 23, now Oct 4, item still has not shipped. No response from inquiries to seller. Postmark received no reply from seller. Thought I'd try the site. Will not use again.

Well all the reviews that I have read just shows me that those people don't know what they are doing. It is laughable. Poshmark is great and I have not had one problem.

It really sucks that you can't return something that you didn't like or it doesn't fit. I have reached out to their team but all they said I'm sorry you cannot be returned.

This site is horrible and a scam. They lure you in with a $10 credit for new users, then don't allow you to use the credit! Customer service is not helpful at all!

I would give them a big fat ZERO. If it were available. I bought was advertised as Apple Airpods Gen. X 2. Which ended up being a $25 cheap knockoff from Walmart. I paid $65 for what I thought was Apple Airpods genX 2. Poshmark refused the refund bc they said the payment had already been sent even though, they advise on website you have 72hrs to dispute the fake ad.after you receive the product. I emailed them the very next day after receiving itso whatsup with that POSHMARK?

It is a horrible place for sellers, not to say you can find good deals but not everyone's complaints are treated the same, their customer service sucks and they never loose, I sold a tunic top down to $3, it had been worned twice, not the most expensive nor designer piece of clothing but it was cleaned and pretty, Poshmark made $2.95, i went through all the shiping and packaging the item to their standards and made a woping $. 05, yes that is right. Don't waste your time thinking you will be treated fairly, I tried to return a pair of shoes that did not fit properly, poor material and hurt a lot, not all the information about the shoes was disclosed, I tried to return them, they were not a brand name, just cheap wallmart plastic shoes, but they would not allow me to return them, so I lost $20 and gained a pair of lousy shoes... BE carefull. Customer service is non existant in POSHMARK and consumer rights are not the same for everyone.

I love this app. Now buy and sell regularly. I have already left a review before. But a new thought came to me and I thought I would share: there are people on this site HERE TO MAKE MONEY, and there are people on this site TO GET RID OF CLOTHES. Beware that the actual resale value of clothing is very low, so think before you splurge $20 on a tank top that is worn, mind you. Don'tfall for the "The item you like just dropped 12%!" It dropped on purpose. You are the target. Beware, before you buy something that you don't need, and shouldn't be spending the money on.

Knowing this, I highly encourage this app to fashion lovers! But be SMART. Don't give in to those ladies selling $3 dollar rings from WISH for $20. Don't give them the pleasure :)
