Be aware of false advertisement Poshmark allows. I bought pajama showing both top and pants on the picture and I only received the top. Poshmark is not helping me with this issue. They won't allow me to return it and get money back. I totally overpaid for a used piece of pajama top.

I am a seller on Poshmark. I have a lot of namebrand good items listed at decent prices. The people on Poshmark who purchased items are thinking they are buying brand-new even though my item is Gently used. I am not a wholesaler I sell things that we are done with in my household and when it comes down to purchasing them they still make an offer of less than 50% off at some times. When it comes to rating by the customer and they don't ask questions they rate you poorly even though the item is a brand-name and is in good condition they then can contact customer service and file a complaint that it's not as listed and they receive their money back in the meantime you're sitting with no item you don't know what they've done to your item. I sold a bundle of items and the buyer filed a complaint wanted to return it and kept some of the items and nothing was done about it they take 20% of what you listed for customer service can improve and should be on the seller side not always the buyer side. The seller then is able to go in and change their rating as many times as they care to which is not fair also. I had a customer purchase another item she washed it and then complain there were strings and stains but never complained of it to start with so I'm wondering if really it wasn't my fault and gave me a poor rating because of what she did to my item. Just FYI ask questions asked for additional pictures if purchasing anything on Poshmark

I am a seller on Poshmark. I list all items. I list all sizes, all measurements. The material of the item. I disclose everything. And I post a lot of pictures I answer all questions also. I have nothing to hide. I am not happy with the commission they get, or the price of shipping. I myself do not buy a lot because of the shipping fees! I do have a 5-star rating and only had one return because the buyer did not read that I did state the boots run narrow. I was not happy. They received their money back plus was able to keep the boots. This was unfair. The boots were also brand new, never worn. The reason why I was selling is because I had a stroke and could longer wear heels. Customer service could be better if they hired more people. This goes to the top and letting go of some profits. I also do not like the same generated letter that customer service sends when help is needed. And when they do answer, its past the time allowed for shipping or other seller concerns. I also post pictures of my shipping process. I wrap all items like a gift, along with card of thanks. I do see lots of replicas, and items that I cant believe some people sell. The clothing is dirty and I never buy shoes that I can see dirty footprints. I would never sell items like this. I wash all items and iron if needed. All I can say is ask a lot of questions and ask for more pictures. If the seller doesn't respond, I would not buy. I am also on my site everybody, and I monitor a lot of buyers for scamming.

I EARNED THIS MONEY THROUGH SELLING MY CLOTHES AND I WOULD LIKE TO ACTUALLY RECIEVE MY EARNINGS OR AT LEAST GET HELP FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT.

They are horrible! Wont send payments to right account after multiple requests. I have asked them to stop my account and they have not. Such horrible service. They never talk to you, only emails days later! If you are thinking of doing business with posh... DONT DO IT! If you are actively doing business with posh... STOP ALL BUSINESS WITH THEM NOW! There are several other great sites out there that are FFFFFFAAAAARRRRR better than posh. Trust me... DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH POSHMARK! You will thank me later. If i could rate a negative 1000 as my rating, i would. They dont even deserve a rating of zero. They are much worse thsn a zero!

Tip for consumers:
Dont join this site under any circumstances!

Horrible, horrible experience! I lost a number of sales because they wouldn't correct something. This went on for over 2 weeks with me receiving the same idiot canned response. Is their "Support Center" in another country or are there no real people manning their Support Center? When I went to their official website to seek assistance, I got some person who said she handles "people like me" Umh! People with legitimate complaints and requests for support. What arrogant people. The actual selling website has a section for deleting your account. DON'T BELIEVE IT. It took over a week of requesting them numerous times to delete the account. I couldn't even get mailing labels from them to ship out sold items. I recommend that if you are considering selling on Poshmark, worry about: (1). Where your personal information is going (the company is being sold to a foreign internet company), (2) you won't get a a real person or be able to find a contact phone number, they pushed me off to a company that handles their complaints BUT you have to pay for this service, and (3) it's next to impossible to delete your account as a result of their HORRIBLE customer service. If I could have rated them less than a "0", I would have. Everyone I know who has either purchased or sold on Poshmark has experienced frustration and they feel incompetence on the part of Poshmark. No wonder it's being sold!

Tip for consumers:
Stay away! Beware.

I bought one thing from poshmark. It was fine, shipping was fine, billing was fine, packaging was fine. No complaints there.

In the time between making an account and receiving my package a week later I received something like 40 emails from poshmark, the overwhelming majority of which were marketing emails. "Just unsubscribe" I can hear you thinking. Let me explain how they've made that harder than it has to be on purpose.

In 2003 the US Congress passed CAN-SPAM which, among other things, require marketing emails to have that little, barely perceptible "unsubscribe" button hidden in the text near the bottom. As you may have noticed, some companies have wised up since 2003 and split their marketing emails into categories. This way, when you hit "unsubscribe" they only have to stop sending you mail from that category.

For example: sitejabber has these two distinct categories: "Email me periodic Sitejabber newsletters and updates", "Email me periodic Sitejabber contests and promotions". The unsub link on an email will only remove you from whichever mailing list that email's category uses.

Poshmark has 21 categories of email, 12 of which will message you before you even engage with the site at all (liking posts, following pages, whatever). Whenever you unsubscribe, you get taken off one... except you don't. I unsubbed from 3 emails before checking my notifications settings and everything was still on. Technically, they have 10 business days to honor my request and I checked after about 3 so maybe they were getting to it, or maybe they just suck.

Oh wait, it gets better. I check my emails on my phone. On mobile "Email Settings" link at the bottom of their page redirects you to a page asking you to download their app. They know why you clicked that button and they know which user clicked it. The "unsubscribe" button in their emails takes you straight to their webpage and has your user id in the link. It works because they're legally required to make it work. When they're not required to make it easy, its' hard.

The lack of respect for their customers is loud and clear.

I purchased soup/salad bowls through Poshmark because the photo of them showed that they were the exact same bowls I already owned (I needed 4 more). When the bowls were delivered they were not the same bowls as advertised on the Poshmark site and the gold leafing design on the outside of the bowls was worn off in several places. I know this because I already own the bowls (bought them from Home Goods a few months ago). They were also covered in stickers that had been removed but the glue was still on the bowls so I thought maybe they would look better if cleaned. As I was hand washing the bowls with mild soapy water in my sink the gold leaf started to peel off even more. I immediately tried to contact Poshmark but there is no phone number to call and I was forced to work with them regarding my complaint only through their site. I took photos of the bowls I purchased from Home Goods and the bowls purchased through Poshmark to show that they were not at all as advertised. Poshmarks emailed me back and said since I hand washed the bowls they were now not returnable. We are talking soup/salad bowls here and hand washing them should not have been an issue at a reputable on line site. However Poshmarks was quick to dismiss my complaint and offered me $13 in Poshmarks (not a credit on my credit card) to buy other merchandise through their site. Worst customer service ever. The vendor advertising the bowls scammed me and Poshmarks scammed me. Do not buy from this site!

Tip for consumers:
Poshmark customer service is terrible. Do not buy anything from this site.

I purchased a pair of Prada sandals and when I received the order I realized it was the wrong size, the sandals were also very narrow and it did not fit me and they were poorly made, they were clearly fake. I contacted Poshmark immediately and open a case with a complaint including photos to prove my case.
They sent me en e-mail a day later stating that my complaint did not qualify for a return and that I lost the case. I have been purchasing items from them for a long time and this was my first return. I have been an excellent customer and this is the way I was treated. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN. SHAME ON YOU!

Years ago I had a lot of success with Poshmark, but the past year an a half the site has really gone downhill. I have been sent defective items, clothes that were not as described, and Poshmark has refused to offer a refund or return service. I just had to give the seller a low rating, and those ratings aren't even displayed prominetly so they have no bearing on the account holder. Recently I made an accidental purchase and reported it right away. I contacted Poshmark THREE TIMES before finally contacting the owner. The owner was never notified from Poshmark, Poshmark did not cancel the sale, and she ended up shipping it anyway. I tried to make another claim, I was told I couldn't make a claim while the item was being shipped. I tried to make a claim when I received the item, and Poshmark said they couldn't do anything and that I should have contacted them sooner. What a mess! If you're looking to scam young women and get rid of your damaged clothes for top dollar prices, this is the site to do it!

Ebay and Mericari have better methods in place to protect customers.

Te waste of time to post pictures and add descriptions of your items. Then they constantly delete these items saying not authentic when they are 100% authentic items! The pictures and description are CLEARLY AUTHENTIC and NOT REPLICAS! You email them and they say they will fix but they dont! Do not trust their authentication service! They have NO BUISNESS saying what is and is not authentic! Morons!

BUYER BEWARE. I purchased my first item on poshmark a couple of weeks ago. It was described as NWOT. When I received the item it was clearly not new, with fraying seams and pilling. I started a case and was eventually approved to return the item for a full refund. I was traveling during this time, and received a notice from Poshmark stating that I must return the item within 24 hours or forfeit the refund. I contacted customer support explaining that clearly I had not been able to print and mail the item while being away. When I returned 48 hours after their requested return window, I emailed them with a photo of the boxed item with shipping label affixed, ready to drop in the mail, and asking if I could go ahead and mail it for the refund. I received a reply from "Catherine, the Team Lead of the Disputes team overseeing returns and escalations". She refused to refund the item.

Ridiculous. False advertising by sellers, no quality control whatsover, and awful customer service. There is no option to speak with anyone over the phone. Buyers beware.

Best part of Poshmark are these amazing referral invite codes. When you download it you give them the code JSYDI and you get $10 to spend and $1 shipping, and that's what I did. Best part!

Updated 2/28: My first experience with Poshmark I was selling a Tiffany ring. I had people try to low ball me as little as $20. I had people ask me to email them directly outside of poshmark (scammers) and the woman who purchased my item provided poshmark with the wrong address so I was never paid and the item was returned. I tried to contact customer service several times regarding the matter and got automated responses or a copy/paste response from some dude in India. Due to the high S&H on poshmark, people ask you to sell your item for off at times and try to get you to reduce costs so that shipping would be free. Every time I take money off an item it dings me and it isn't worth my time to sell an item for $2.50 profit. So 80% of my experiences have been great and drama free as a seller and buyer. 20% have been annoying. I had one lady buy a shirt from me that was listed as black and the label on the shirt said black. She received it and wanted to send it back because she said it was blue. Customer service is LOUSY. It took them forever to respond and the buyer took off with my item. After a month and threats to go to the BBB and attorney general, Poshmark refunded my money as the buyer never returned the item.

Poshmark posted some appealing Facebook ads, so I downloaded the app to give it a try. My first purchase was a pair of black fringe booties. The seller, Kimology, listed the Liliana brand booties as true to size as well as made with leather and suede. I ordered a size larger than I usually wear so I could wear socks with them. I received the booties in 2 days, beautifully packaged, and looking like they did in the pictures on the Poshmark app, but when I tried them on, I couldn't even get my foot past the opening. They were certainly not true to US sizes. When I looked at the materials stamp on the shoe, it clearly said, "ALL MAN MADE MATERIALS."

I contacted Poshmark to let them know about the problems with the booties, and they told me they were reviewing my return request. Since when do I have to wait for a return merchandise authorization for a pair of shoes? I've never heard of such a thing! In a few days they emailed me asking for more pictures. A few more days went by and they refused my "claim." When I contacted Kimology about the misrepresentation of the product she sold me, she said "Poshmark doesn't accept returns if you buy the wrong size." I told her about the MANMADE stamp on the shoes, and asked her to post a picture of a stamp proving otherwise. She ignored me. Kimology continues to sell the Liliana brand on Poshmark, and Poshmark protects her fraudulent business.

I've filed a fraud report with my credit card company, and I do not recommend this website or app in any way.

This is the absolute WORST shopping app I've ever used. The customer service is horrible. I was scammed and I reported it and for some reason the "customer service AGREED with the SCAMMER and I was kicked off the site after losing $80. After I was kicked off (even though I have tons of great reviews) they stopped responding to my e-mails. Now I uise Vinted and Mercari which are way better anyway.

Fraudulent advertising. I bought a dress stated brand new. First of all the seller never shipped and was elusive to my inquiries and poshmark. I cought seller in lie she said she mailed it out. I called postmaster they determined she never shipped the item. Seller said post office lost it, I called postmaster, whom knows the seller. The postmaster said she lied about that too, Atter weeks of probing seller finally shipped. I received a stained used dress with tags that appeared to fall off. I filed with poshmark but they have horrible customer service and can't be reached by phone. I escalated with PayPal but they too have been horrible service. They said the minimum damage was not worth my claim, let's see seller stated brand new dress but I received a stained used dress...
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AND DO NOT TRUST PAYPAL TO FIGHT FOR YOUR CONSUMER RIGHT. I WILL FILE WITH FTC THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AGAINST THIS COMPANY.

At first i loved it! I was selling a lot and earning enough money to pay bills and such. But then i noticed something, i started selling more expensive things and realized poshmark was taking more money from me. It says that they take out $5 every item in order to pay fro the shipping label. I would put up a shirt for $25 and my earnings would be $20. Thats normal i guess but i posted something for $100 and my earnings were $80! If they only take out $5 then why aren't my earnings $95 it pisses me off! The more expensive the item the more they take from you! And the shipping labels are for 5 pound items when we all know poshmark sellers don't sell anything for 5 pound unless its a heavy bag or bundling a bunch of stuff so i shouldn't have to pay $5 to ship a t-shirt! I went to the post office to ship off a pair of shoes and they said that im losing a lot of money because they didn't weigh 5 pounds. Poshmark is makeing more money from the sellers than the sellers are! Im thinking about just selling my stuff on ebay or something. I need to find a new app that is legit. Not a scam!

Tip for consumers:
if you don't mind giving poshmark most of your earnings..then have fun!
