Be aware of false advertisement Poshmark allows. I bought pajama showing both top and pants on the picture and I only received the top. Poshmark is not helping me with this issue. They won't allow me to return it and get money back. I totally overpaid for a used piece of pajama top.

Ugh, I wish I had read these reviews first! What a waste of time! I had one good sale that made me next to nothing. Then I made another sale. The buyer, siesta2016, first low-balled me with an offer, but it was only my second sale so I thought, why not? Then Poshmark sends me an email saying she claimed it wasn't in as good as condition as described - she said a seam was ripped and Poshmark said she had a photo to prove it. Um, ya think she could've ripped the seam herself? 'Cause there was no ripped seam and if she has a picture, that means she ripped it and I'm going to get back a damaged dress (if I get it back). What do these people do? Wear it once and then return it? Is it really worth it to go through all this trouble to scam people? I tried to put my input in to Poshmark but they obviously ignored it. I always photo and mention damage when I list. Always. You can see it in my other listings. AND, if you go to her account page, there's nothing - no pictures, no listings, no nothing. If you're thinking about selling on Poshmark, don't do it! NOT worth the time spent!

Too many unresponsive sellers who never ship your item you've already paid for! Then you must wait over a week for a refund. I'm done with poshmark.

I have been using Poshmark for a couple of months now. The buying and selling are super fun and almost addictive but that's the only good thing about this app. I have sold AND purchased thousands of dollars of clothing (mostly men's lululemon)... I send out packages daily and receive packages daily! Poshmark takes out 20% of every sale and it goes straight to profit which is fair! What is NOT fair is that as a buyer, you can get totally screwed over and not compensated for. For the 4th time I have received a $50 article of clothing that is the WRONG SIZE! I provided pictures of measurements and a measurement chart to prove that it is a Large and not a Medium. Instead of any kind of apology or compensation, I received an automated message from poshmark that they will not accept a return because the product is "as described". You would think that they might take a second to look at my account and see that I'm a frequent user (not to mention I have and have given tons of 5 star ratings) and yet, they won't even take a second to help me out. This is the 4th time this has happened which is why I am deleting the app and leaving negative reviews everywhere I can to help others from having to deal with Poshmarks horrible customer service. Selling on poshmark is fun and easy, but DO NOT BUY ON POSHMARK!

Poshmark is full of scalpers asking outrageous prices for items. I know Poshmark fees are 20%, but asking 4X the new value for a used item is ridiculous and asking additional money for shipping on top of price gouging?! There are also so many rude and downright crazy sellers who belong in a mental institution. If you aren't sure you want to sell an item, why list it for sale if you are creepily attached to it? Or if everything is listed at your unrealistic "I don't want to sell it" price, why are you a seller on Poshmark in the first place? So much seller misconduct. Reporting sellers and reporting comments and users does nothing. Poshmark doesn't care if users repeatedly violate policy or even cuss you out. I'm convinced nothing gets you banned from this site. Poshmark support ignores everything and gives the same generic response for every inquiry. Poshmark doesn't seem to be on the side of buyer or the seller from my experience. There so are many issues with this website. Everything from a seller's average ship time rarely being accurate to ignored reported harassment and bullying in the comments sections to inactive sellers who have been inactive for months yet left all their listings active and the listings are never deleted. My advice is don't buy from here unless you absolutely to. Buyer protection is very flimsy and if a seller measures clothing wrong, you can't return it. Chances are even if the item is horribly not as described (damaged, dirty, smoke smells, etc.) you will not be allowed to return it.

I purchased a purse off this site. The Seller listed the item as NWOT. I needed a large hand bag and prior to purchase, I messaged the Seller to ask if the bag was a medium or large? She said "Large". I received the item with wear at the corners and damage. NWOT? I opened a claim under Poshmark and attachments pics of the damages. Didn't hear anything back from them for 3 weeks. I contacted Poshmark to find out the status of my claim to return the bag for my refund. I was told that they sent a request to me for more pics and info. I NEVER received a request from Poshmark or any correspondence. The answer to my email was that my claim didn't fall under their guidlines. So now I'm going through my bank to dispute this. A Rep from Poshmark sent an email stating "if you dispute this with your bank, we will dispute your account! Really? I should have researched tgis site further before dealing with the fraud that's going on. You can't even speak to a live person. So I responded to the threat as, "you threaten me because I have a problem with and item purchased off your site? You can do whatever but my bank WILL pursue you! BUYERS BEWARE! This is not a good place to buy anything!

I've always had great experiences shopping with Poshmark until this year. The first bad experience was when I hit the wrong purchasing button, the seller gave me a discount and I chose the wrong button, I asked the seller immediately to cancel that and send me another offer, she did not answer me for a long period of time and processed the payment. Then wrote to me and said she would have to discuss it with customer service. Poshmark customer service denied my request for the sellers offered price. Was very disturbing but shook it off. Fast forward a couple months later and I purchased a pair of crocs. When I received them, both say the same size but one is obviously a size larger, and they were filthy. I asked the seller to return them, they're useless because one is bigger than the other. She denied my request. After a ton of pictures, at Poshmark request, they denied my claim. While in conversation with Seller and Poshmark customer service, she changed her mind and wrote to me return accepted, but customer service intervened and denied the return. Their reason was, I should have asked the seller more questions before purchasing from their company. I've since opened a case with the Better Business Bureau, because it's the principle of this issue not the money. The seller of those mis match shoes happens to be a Posh Ambassador. I don't know what has happened to their integrity, it use to be a pleasure to shop with them. It seems as though they are letting unscrupulous people oversee and govern the transactions. Pity, I'll just stick with eBay and Amazon for now on. Buyer Beware!

Below are pictures of the shoes I purchased, in different lights they change color. Poshmark should have immediately called out the seller for not inspecting their shoes and at the very least asked why they were not listed with the caveat of one shoe is a larger size than the other even though they both say the same size. This company and some sellers have a lack of integrity, respect, honesty and appreciation for the buyers. This is despicable and deceitful. And from what I've read on other complaints, they are still getting away with it.

Tip for consumers:
Buyer Beware, I had a few great years shopping with this site. The shoppers and buyers were friendly and helpful. This year it all went to the waist side. Poshmark Customer Service along with some Sellers have an integrity issue and lack of common sense and respect for their community in this platform. They have become unscrupulous and shady. Customer service needs policing. Hopefully the CEO will take notice.

I tried to ship a pair of boots I was selling thru the app using the Poshmark label. It said to charge $79 to ship them - WHAT! I say. This was wrong and I had to cancel the order because they couldn't resolve the issue. BUT POSHMARK RECORDED IT AS A SALE and marked my item sold, even though I still have it for sale. I lost a sale and the buyer lost out on a fantastic deal and Poshmark WON BECAUSE THEY ERRONEOUSLY RECORDED THE SALE. Nobody was satisfied at all except the bots at Pissmark.

I am so done with Poshmark.

Even if an item is very fairly priced, PM charges so much for shipping for secondhand items that Amazon Prime ends up a better deal. Ie, not unless you buy in bundle or the item is worth more than $50.

30% of the stuff I have purchased is a total waste of money because there are lots of unscrupulous sellers who lie in their advertisements. PM doesn't always agree to have items returned because they want to side with sellers. In one instance, I have had all substantial evidence and PM still sided with the seller on the grounds that I should have asked for detailed measurements before finalizing the sale. I think that if a seller says Women's One-Size-Fits-All Beret, I could presume that my size 21/22 head would fit in it. The seller sent me a Girl's size and PM still refused my claim. To add insult to injury, my claim was refused on a Sunday by a robot, I presumed. Who works on a Sunday?!

At times when PM has sided with customers to return back some items, the company only gives 2 days to return it back, so if one has been really busy there is just no way to return an item back in the mail and you pay for an item that you never wanted. PM should allow one week for buyers to return back items.

PM rule says to return an item back within 2 working days. They send me a mailing label on a Saturday afternoon and they want me to mail the item by Monday!

People should start suing this sneaky company for exploiting its customers and for unfairness in their business practices.

Thank you for the opportunity to rate Poshmark. I have thrown away most of the photos I have taken of the items I complained about. But I could probably send links/copies of my complaints if I truly need to. They are still in my Poshmark records, most likely. I am sure I am not the only one who has had the same experience.

Tip for consumers:
Make sure that you ask for every detail about your prospective item. EVERYTHING! Show photos of a human model wearing the item, like clothes or hats. Even if sellers post dimensions, make them take photos of how they take their measurements. So many sellers don't even have an idea of the standard way of measuring merchandise like bags. Do not even consider sellers who do not respond to your questions bc they're usually the inconsiderate ones. It's all about business.

Products used:
Some of these questions do not clearly apply to Poshmark services because there are different rules for shipping. So, I clicked on "not sure".

I only did business with Poshmark one time, but that was more than enough. I bought a pair of blue jeans, but, as happens with clothing these days, the sizes are smaller than what the tag says, because I think the mfr. Is trying to save material, so they're making things smaller. I received them, tried them on, then asked for a return/refund. They made it virtually IMPOSSIBLE to get a refund because you only have "72 hours" to make a complaint and return your merchandise. Highly unusual and unreasonable. Luckily, I had some protection (I had to threaten them) with Paypal, and forced them to accept the return, but only after I paid $18.00 in shipping to get it back to them, take screenshots of the tracking number and forward it to them as "proof", etc, etc. I finally got my refund, and I'm no fan of Amazon, but at least their return policy is second to none. I do a lot of business on eBay as well and their return policies are also excellent. IN ADDITION, when I went to dispute this item with Paypal, I (inadvertently) found out that Poshmark had signed me up for an ADDITIONAL DEBIT out of my card, automatically! How in the heck did THAT happen? Wow, fraud on a massive scale. Never buying from Poshmark again... BUYER BEWARE!

Poshmark is seriously amazing. Ive read some of the poor reviews and the people writing them clearly have not done enough research or spent enough time on poshmark. Someone had said that poshmark takes more and more of your money the higher priced something is, which is technically true, but not in the context they put it in. Poshmark takes 20% of the earnings and they specify that when you join. There's not much reason to be upset by that considering the shipping is paid for and the business deserves to make money. I've also seen reviews saying that it is a scam. POSHMARK IS NOT A SCAM. Poshmark is actually very reliable; however, not everyone on it is. There are so many ways to avoid the unreliable sellers out there though. Poshmark requires that every time you receive an item, you rate the seller, which anyone can see a seller's ratings and reviews. It also gives other details about sellers like where the item will be shipping from, how long the posher has been active, average ship time of the seller, ect. I've been on poshmark for about a year and I've had very few problems selling/trading. Any time I do have a MINOR problem, I can email them and they will email me back right away. They also have posh protect that protects agains unauthentic items, wrong items, wrong sized items, items that didn't arrive, ect., which makes it really difficult to ever be scammed. Bottom line is, poshmark is great. Poshmark gives all the necessary tools for you to use it effectively but it's up to you to use them.

Horrible experience from seller
Horrible experience from seller. I've purchased from sellers numerous time and only a couple of times I've had to return something because the seller failed to fully describe flaws in their items. My last purchase I received the item and it wasn't in "excellent" condition as she stated. The leather from the bag was practically deteriorated. I took pictures of it and sent it to customer service to review. I was able to return it. Once the seller found out that her item was being returned she began harassing me and calling me a scammer. I do understand that scammers are out there. I'm a posh seller myself but to accuse someone of that after you can see Ive ordered items from other poshers and received good comments on my purchases. I began to defend myself and yet the seller kept harassing me. I sent a screen shot to Poshmark customer service and i was the one that got deactivated while she is still active in Poshmark. Goes to show you Poshmark doesn't really care. I hope people stop selling or buying with them. They don't handle business very well. I will continue to write reviews and find whatever platform I can find to express how much I wish Poshmark would go out of business.

I gave poshmark a chance because a trusted friend recommended the site to me.

BUYERS:
The shopping experience is terrible on the site. There is no uniformity in listings so you have to try searching by different keywords and labels if you are looking for a specific item because the sellers may not properly list the item.

The seller is in control on this platform. When you submit offers, instead of declining, they will just let the offer expire and now you've waited 24 hours for nothing. When you do purchase something, the seller can take their sweet time shipping. They literally give them up to a week to just mark the item shipped. The sellers are full of excuses as to why they couldn't ship within a couple days.

Sellers also don't take pride in their product. I have received items with residual white stains all over them and dog, cat, and people hair. One item even came with a caterpillar… I provide sellers private feedback and one told me that she had two dogs so there was only "so much" she could do to not send things with any hair. But you're a "small business owner". Right?

Also, I have had sellers have no clue what they're actually selling (I attribute this to thrift
-flip culture). They list items incorrectly and there is no way to tell until it arrives.

If you do have an issue with an item and are requesting a return, Poshmark forces you into confrontation with the seller and now you're having awkward dialogue and none of the sellers actually want to allow you to return their items. I am fortunate that when I've had issues, I was given the chance to return them.

As mentioned there are sellers who are price gouging and charging full price and even then some for their items.

SELLERS:
There are plenty of other sites that you can resale on that won't take 20% of your sale. Try those out.

Tip for consumers:
I did have some good experiences with poshmark but it was overwhelming the amount of poor experiences I had as a customer

I purchased an item on Poshmark. I felt safe because they said they would not release my money until I received the item and I was satisfied.

Well I wasn't satisfied because it didn't fit. I asked for a return because it wasn't something I could wear.

After about 6 days Poshmark sends me an email:

We have reviewed the case you submitted for order "Home + Femme Coco Chanel Sweater". Unfortunately, this case does not qualify for a return because:
- Unfortunately, Poshmark does not support returns based on fit
- Moving forward, we suggest asking clarifying questions such as exact measurements before purchasing
- Welcome to relist in closet

IT IS CLOTHING. The only way to know if something will really fit YOU is to try it on! So no matter how many questions I could have asked the seller it still would have been an issue with will it FIT ME.

I wear s size medium to small in all other clothing. I purchased a medium. The way this runs I would have had to get a Large to Extra Large.

But regardless, they are in the gently worn/used clothing business. NOT having a way to return items based on fit is unacceptable.

Oh they did say I can resell it. WHY would I trust this website again? I would not.

I have filed a complaint with the BBB and I will be contacting my credit card company.

I used to love Poshmark - until I started buying wholesale. Over the last 2 months I have spent a TON of money on wholesale. One order that came was all garbage from China - the clothing had no label, which is illegal in the US. I opened a return case ($300 purchase) and had to fight SO hard to get my money back and get the return approved - and the only reason it was approved is because the wholesaler said to allow it because they didn't want to deal with me. About 16 other pieces I received have no brand label, and I've been fighting for my money back with Posh for a month. I've filed a complaint with the FTC, and next I will be disputing the charges with my cc company. Every response I get from them is different, and no one knows what they're talking about. Their OWN WHOLESALE POLICY states that a brand must be on the clothing! This is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. I cannot and will not sell the stuff that came unbranded as it is illegal, and the items are GARBAGE - Poshmark told me if I didn't want the items - another $500 - to DONATE THEM. I'm done with Poshmark. I've been on the app for 6 years - active for 2 - over 100k followers, solid 5 star rating, 1200 sales... and they're refusing to do the right thing. Horrible.

I purchased what was described as a Dooney & Bourke handbag. What I received was a very cheep knockoff and the seller would not refund my money.

A few Characteristics about this counterfeit Dooney & Bourke handbag:

The leather is very stiff with a dull finish.

The ampersand in the logo is closed.

The draw string is wrong.

Hardware is cheep yellow metal, D and B used solid brass hardware on the authentic version of this handbag.

The straps are riveted closed.

The size of the stitching is way too large and loose.

The stitching of the logo on the inside shows and is the wrong color.

The strap hardware and buckles are all wrong.

This seller has many items listed as high end "Designer" brands on Poshmark, so all I can say is BUYER BEWARE OF SELLER KARTRAV. In addition, Poshmark Perpetrated this fraud by not assisting me in getting a refund, they offer no buyer protection. I have seen many other counterfeits on this web site as well. If you or looking for a good web site to sell and buy, try Bonanza. Their fees are low and they offer protection to the buyer and also the seller. They also prohibit the sell of counterfeits and they are very serious about that policy.

As a SELLER, Please do not sell on Poshmark! They NEVER protect seller! Buyer can return anything as remorse! Poshmark never inspected or real check for all the details that seller provide or the message between seller and buyer.

Case #1, sold a pair of Gucci shoes, buyer messaged me stated the size doesn't fit her, (Poshmark already set the rules sizing problem consider is buyer remorse which is not covered for return), but then buyer filed a claim that the shoes "BOX" has one corner ripped, Poshmark let her returned it.

Case# 2, sold a 100% AUTHENTIC LV scarf, buyer filed a claim because the care label tag is loosing, then she claimed as NOT Authentic. I messaged the buyer, she can return and claim as "item not as described", this is definitely authentic. Then she afraid poshmark won't refund her, she pull the whole label tag off and took a photo and claim not authentic. I always take a video, photo and put the security onto the products to protect myself, even sent the photo along with the case review. Sadly, Poshmark do not care the whole story. They never inspected and looked at the actual item, how they can just agree with buyer.

Case #3, sold a pair of shoes, buyer returned it even the package box is sealed! Means she never opened to take a look, then returned it.

DO NOT SELL ON POSHMARK, they just buyer RUINING your items or let scammer to scam your hard earn money!
