Promised me a free phone and tablet for bringing my own number and they gave me the runaround till to late to get it n I'm in need of a phone badly with mom dying in ICU and missing calls from Drs and family about it

All their advertising states free unlimited data. That's simply NOT true!

In my dashboard it says I have 4.5 gigs of data. I I'm home 98% of the time and yet my data is still inching up for some reason. It says I've used zero texts so maybe that's where my data is going even though I have been texting a lot. To top up your data is pretty expensive compared to other companies, so I imagine that's where they're making their money.
I have yet to give support a call and if they don't fix it I'm switching over to maybe Visible wireless which for the first year is only $15 a month with unlimited talk text data and hotspot.

My other complaint is in order to get the free phone you have to transfer your number well if you don't have another device before you get your free phone what are you supposed to do? Are we supposed to go without a phone for several days or however long it takes? They couldn't give me an answer for that. They just kept repeating that I'll get my free phone after I transfer my number but could not tell me what to do between transferring my number and getting a new phone. That problem really needs to be fixed. And if I have a device that I can use why do I need the free phone? The free phones are older models very little space very little memory very poor camera quality.

Q Link wireless is okay if you really can't afford to pay anything for cellular but just be aware of the downsides.

After reading some of these reviews I guess I am one of the more fortunate people. My phone I have had for 1 year, a ZTE piece of junk from China but it works. It does have mind of its own, seems to be some issues with the touchscreen and crappy software. It is so far inferior to anything out there currently. It calls people by picking up the phone, cant download any software because its internal memory is so limited that it cant download any updates. I purchased a memory card for it to save pictures on to keep it working. The phone sucks, and you do get what you pay for. For use as a phone only, depending on your exact location it may work. I have wi-fi which I connect to in my home, sitting right next to my cable router, it always says it has a weak signal. The phone is so slow, if it accidently calls someone, you cant even hang up because there is a long delay before the screen comes up to hit the hang up button. Only use for minimum use and only phone. Even in SMS texting, there is only a few characters before it splits it into multiple messages receiving, what a headache. If you have a high tolerance for pain and frustration, get one.

I would have kept this service but lifeline said I can have internet or free phone service only one or the other. So I get free internet. Very good service.

DONT DO IT

I applied for a free tablet through EBB and Q Link. I was sent a tablet that was a joke and couldn't even get on the internet with kept freezing up. When I called them I was told to send it back and they would send me an RMA number which they never did. I was also told that I have to pay $10.01 for defective tablet whether I sent it back or not. When I tried to cancel they wouldn't let me cancel unless I told them I had a job that paid more money and I couldn't qualify for the program anymore. This is been a horrible experience and I don't want anyone else to go through what I went through. I am still going through it. My account is not canceled and I still have this defective tablet and they keep sending me an invoice. Qlink is nothing but a scam stay away don't do it. They should lose their government contract. It's not fair that people who really need this have to get scammed by this company!

I've been using q Link on my Samsung g21 and it's been fine so I figured I would get there free phone and tablet since it was free and now it's trash they sent me an HP Serrano phone that is completely worthless it's trash I can't get anything done with it they stick it to the poor people poor people get screwed in America that's just how it is. All they are doing is data mining they're taking data from the poor people and selling it and then they collect their check from the government to it's called double dipping and telecommunication companies are dirtbags.

Idiocy
November 12, 2021

The free phone they sent me a few years ago was bogged down with useless apps and the resolution was $#*!ty at best. Each month they terrorized me three times about deactivating it if I didn't use it n gave me the option to check off "this is not my primary phone" and told me I was good for 30 more days then 2 days later a similar email. Now I'm getting told they're going to 5k n I need to BUY a new phone to keep service. If I could afford a new phone I wouldn't need the q link phone in the first place n they are inundating my email about it now even after I sent them an email telling them we were probably DONE.

Q link is running a scam with poor quality products. I ordered a phone and tablet from them, which were delivered on December 22nd 2022. By January 4 2023 the phone no longer worked. By January 6th the tablet no longer worked. Both were in perfect condition, but just wouldn't charge anymore. I emailed Qlink on the 5th of January. They did not respond til the 10th of January, and then told me the 14 days for returns had passed. Well not $#*!, since you waited almost a week to respond to me. They are running a literal SCAM. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Do not buy products from this company! We wasted 60 dollars on a phone and tablet that BOTH worked less than 2 weeks and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it.

SCAM COMPANY!

If it were possible to give this business negative 5 Stars that would still be too good. Nobody speaks English if you ever actually get to speak to a supposed customer service representative. Not one single representative is able to do anyting but transfer you to another person in the same Department. This goes on for hours, and nothing can be accomplished. Eventually you just hang up out of complete aggravation and exhaustion. I called qlink no less than 8 times over a 4 month time span to change my phone number, spent hours on hold, transferred at least 3 times per call, disconnected multiple times and never spoke to 1 rep who could change my number. My last attempt was 3 days ago and I told the third representative that I had been transferred to that if he had to transfer me again to just disconnect my service because I am done. He then did transfer me so I hung up and lo and behold my phone has been disconnected. That is the only thing that qlink has ever done in a timely manner. Save yourself a lot of time and headache and aggravation and just avoid this company completely.

Im poor. A victim of the pandemic atrocities. Im surprised the govt even offers a wireless assistance program, but im sure there is an underlying benefit for them and detriment for those of us using the program. Enough opinion.
Qlink wireless is administering some of this program, and is the provider i currently use. Ill begin with: there is nothing high speed about their service except the signup. They are incapable of porting an existing number and Whether the organization is directed to censor my content or whether it is of their own accord. Qlink censors a will. I have experience their "blocked content" pages on several occasions. For instance, when attempting to visit a podcast from a link in my email, (whitelisted contact), qlink deemed that the site may contain "hate speech", ACCESS DENIED. Or another site, Cheaper than dirt, was blocked due to "weapons", ACCESS DENIED. I will post screenshots as soon as i find where my device saved them to.
If you require using the america connectivity plan, avoid qlink wireless. How dare this NGO dictate what i choose to review. And if the govt cartel condones this lawless fraud? Well, why am i not surprised? 0 stars for qlink.

Still holding
March 17, 2021

Trying to get customer service I been calling for days. Today I plug in my phone and on speaker I called at 144 pm still holding it 703pm now crazy that the phone is still on hold I have sent a number of text more reply so I thought I have a guy not far from them and send him to 499 E SHERIDAN ST, STE 200 DANIA, FL and see if he can get them to help me I dont know what more to do but go to there office.

Slowest damned internet I've ever had less than 2mbps download and forget an upload speed. Mint mobile flies on by this junk by a mile at very little cost and is also a T-Mobile carrier.

My review is really a 0... I was sent a new sim card that did not work. At would not connect. The phone couldn't even detect it. So I ordered a new phone. WHY WAS I SENT A PHONE WITH NO SIM CARD? I have ordered multiple phones from them because their phones are so cheap and stop working right after 9 months. They always come with a sim card but not this one. Spent an hour on the phone trying to get someone. I finally get to a part where I have to wait for a representative. The wait was 39 min. After all this time I want going anywhere. So I was going to wait. After a while it asked me if I would like a call back when my turn came. So I said yes. WHY IN THE HELL, AT THE END OF GIVING MY NAME DID IT SAY SOMEONE WILL CALL BACK UN 42 HOURS! That was bull. Who does that? They dont give a crap about you, because at the end of the day... they already got their money and moving on to their next victim...
