Remitly made a point of entering my account without my knowledge, charged me thousands without my consent, did not provide the service I paid for and after all that, refused to send back any money. There are actually 5 pages of charges, but I could only load one here. You are not aware of the massive amount you are actually being charged until its over.

ON MAY 1st, 2023, Remitly robbed me of $1,992.00 and some change. They charged me a fortune, never sent the money, never returned it to me, nor the excessive charges nor the fees. I sent the proof to banking regulators, the Federal Trade Commission, and The Attorney General's office.
Also, they deliberately break down the charges onto small clumps, because they know that it takes between $25.00 to $50.00 for each attempt at a CHARGEBACK. This us done deliberately to prevent you from making a CHARGEBACK against their company. They are shrewd and calculating. BEWARE OF REMITLY. Do not use this company. You WILL REGRET IT.
Remitly! WHAT A JOKE. I sent money for displaced people due to war 3 weeks ago. The recipients can't get the money. Remitly have no idea what holding up the transfer. The money was intended for life saving. The recipients didn't get the money for 2 weeks. I have to send another money with western union and continue fighting to get the money back or to deposited to the recipient's account. Every time I called, they bombarded me with apology, but do nothing. Here is very frustrating thing: 1st, I called and left my number for call back. One of the customer service representative called, but when the phone was disconnected, he never called back; he took my phone number just to fulfill the protocol, not to serve the customer.
2nd, I called again, and reached the customer representative after 10 or 15 minutes and it was disconnected again, I don't know if they disconnected it on purpose; again, never called.
3rd, I called for the fourth time, and first the automated system expressed the estimated wait time was one hour and 20 minutes. With previous customer representative, I requested to speak with a supervisor; therefore, I was purposely left on automated system, neglected. In addition, my waiting time increased from 1 hour and 20 minutes to 3 hours and 30 minutes. Each time the automated system announced the waiting time, it continues increase, because someone was reassigning my call. All activities were recorded. I still didn't get my money back. The worst customer service ever.

On my very first attempt to use this service they canceled my transfer and said the decision was final but they could not tell me why!

I don't know what happened to this app, when I started using it I was amazed on the efficient that this app showing. Unfortunately there are no more consistent good service provider this pandemic year. Don't hold the money of the costumer that is a mortal sin. We costumers send money to our love ones becoz they need it. And this money are not just money, it is a bloody hard worked money. Let the costumer understand if needed more identification but NEVER HOLD THE MONEY AND ASK FOR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. And hold it more than 48hrs. And just say normal procedures! Costumers are not stupid so don't let us speak to stupid representative!
It a really bad app, customer service is zero. I can't cancel my transaction and my transfer is on hold for 5 days without any refund
I've used Remitly for years and put up with their fee increases and terrible exchange rates, but today was the last straw. My account had been dormant since 2017 and out of the blue, I had gotten a text message notifying me that a transfer had been successfully sent to India.
I logged in to my account and found that someone had gained unauthorized access to my account, added a payment method and managed to successfully send money to their bank account in India. Not only that, but they continued to add additional payment methods and attempt to send more money while I was inside my own account! Luckily the subsequent transfers were stopped before they could complete
How did this manage to happen? Per Remitly's own policies, their site is supposed to use multi factor authentication if a sign-in is attempted from an unknown device or location. I have not logged in to Remitly in some time, should it not have prompted for verification upon sign-in? I tested this myself using a private browser (which per Remitly, is supposed to trigger a multi-factor auth) and it did not prompt for verification!
Second, how was the unauthorized person able to add payment methods without additional verification? Third, the payment methods that were added were not even my credit/debit cards, so how did the payment/transfer get processed despite the fact that the Billing Address and the account owner name did not match?
These are very obvious security holes in their system and I can only hope whoever owned the credit cards that was used in these frauds was able to dispute the charges in time and get their money back, because Remitly offered no help since the payment was already "delivered".
They stole $900 from my bank and now i am running around to get it back, no one seems to bother, stay away from this website as mush as you can.

Don't do it. Use a reputable service like Pay pal or Western Union. Money will be held up or disappear.

EVER NEVER NEVER USE REMITLY. Very bad experience ever with REMITLY. I send money direct deposit to my bank and the money has NEVER been deposited. I believe every deposit has a receipt from any bank. They can not provide me with any receipt or who was the person or a third-party company that deposited the money. People should not trust this company. I will write a review on Better Business Bureau so it helps others before they fall victim to money fraud like me.
