This place is a rip off. The website says one price, but once you are charged for the room, a diferent prices is calculated on your credit or debit card. When trying to get your money back for the over charge or cancel, they give you hell and try to offer all kind of extra over night stays to try and satisfy you. Then apply a charge that you cannot get back when you cancel. I will never get a room from them EVER again, nor will I tell others to book with them.
I travel often but this was the first time I used Reservations.com. During check-in at the motel I asked the cashier how much I was charged and he responded that he did not have that information as it was confidential between Reservations.com and me. When I reviewed the emailed receipt, I noticed Reservation.com charged me a $39.12 service fee on a $72.99 room. I contested the service fee with my credit card company and it's currently under review. Before booking take a look at the reviews and ignore the reviews on Registrations.com website.
I made a reservation with this site. I put in certain dates but when I confirmed the dates were different. They took $1,600. Out of my account. I called 10 minutes after booking to ask about changing the dates and they refused. Then I asked them to refund my money and they refused. This site is a SCAM! DO NOT USE IT!
Before you read the rest of the review there has been an update you should see first.
On February 27, the $32.62 U.S. Reservations.com service charge was refunded to my credit card, but by March 1, Reservations.com had cancelled that refund. On March 3, the $135.85 U.S. hotel charge was refunded to my credit card. Hopefully, the $135.85 will not be reversed, and the previously refunded $32.62 refund will follow.
I am quite pleased with the communication from Reservations.com and am confident that the firm will honour the email it sent to me in which it stated, "Please be advised that we have processed your refund in FULL in the amount of 168.47 USD."
Once the $32.62 has been refunded the post will be updated.

On February 26,2025, I thought I was booking a hotel reservation with Hilton Hotels. In fact a third party, Reservations.Com created the reservation. Reservations.com presented itself as the Hilton Hotel Reservation Desk. This is a deceptive practice. I feel cheated. Multiple charges were made to my credit card:
$135.85 U.S. ($199.41 Canadian)
$ 32.62 U.S. ($47.89 Canadian)
Reservations.com quoted the full room rate as $168.47 when in fact, $32.62 were service fees. I cancelled the reservation but was told that I may not receive the refund because Reservations.com has a no-cancellation policy. The cancellation will now go to the Reservations.com billing department, which will call Hilton Hotel and ask if the hotel will accept the cancellation.
I called the Hilton Hotel directly when I was on the phone with Reservations.com and was advised that this was not the first time that this had happened and that the hotel would accept the Reservations.com cancellation without penalty.
I rebooked with the Hilton Hotel representative. The room rate was $117.35, which is a $51.12 U.S. savings from the Reservations.com rate of $168.47.
A fraud dispute resolution claim has been made with VISA for Reservations.com misrepresentation as Hilton Hotels. VISA requested that if the cancellation is not processed as promised, then VISA will follow up with Reservations.com.
Hidden fees and a hidden cancellation agreement.
Not only did their website charge me twice, they refused to refund the double-charge. I also booked the hotel 6 months in advance, cancelled my reservation within 24 hours. They refused to refund that as well. I had to dispute with my CC. No booking agency should keep a refund when you cancel a reservation 6 months out! This place is a SCAM.
They booked a reservation with an unauthorized credit card. It was a fraudulent charge. They used their address for the reservation. To make matters worse Johnathan at Staybridge in McLean VA said as long as he had his money he didn't care.
BE AWARE!
I booked hotel on reservation.com website. They show you the price, you book, you check out and the final invoice the hotel gives you looks fine, but then when you check your credit card invoice you realize they charge you fee in USD (what way more than what the hotel told you) + a fee in USD that you have no clue about. Then when you try to call the phone number on reservation.com website, you'll realize they're just fraud and none is gonna answer you.
Never use reservation.com website.
Tried to change a reservation 15 minutes after booking and was told they would charge me up to $550 to change a $150 reservation. When I spoke to a supervisor she said there was nothing she could do.
Make sure you pay good attention to the terms and conditions before booking with this sight. My taxes and fees were over half of the room cost for 2 nights.
I booked a room on line advertised as $72. Entered my credit card, Reservations.com billed my card $130.60. When I checked into the room, I asked about the price of the room. Room $63.53, tax $6.99, total $ 70.52. Resverations charge room $72, taxes $19.60, service fee $ 39.00, total $130.60. This site should be removed for Google and the internet!
I called to booka hotel room for one night in Toronto, Ont., one closest to the Pearson airport. There was NO reservation!
I lost my money for their mistake. Never again!
I made a reservation that I immediately (less than 30 minutes later) had to cancel. Reservations.com
Refused to refund ANY of the purchase price! I demanded that they cancel the reservation and send me a confirmation email of the cancellation. They canceled the room. Did not send an email.
I am going to try to dispute the charge with my credit card company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH RESERVATIONS.COM! THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE PROSECUTED FOR FRAUD
They booked a room for me at a hotel that not only was non existent, but was sold to another chain. When arriving, I found the new hotel chain and found they charged me $50 less then reservations.com, plus they charged me the handling fee. When I complained, they said it was too late to change and I didn't cancel within their time limit. How is that possible? YOU'RE the experts who should have known that the chain you reserved for me didn't exist any longer and was a completely different hotel change. Nothing but con men
I taught it was the hotel website, the same room and area if is booked with the hotel link 30% less per night. Should be illegal, THEY SHOULD LET YOU KNOW THAT THEY TAKE A SLIDE.
PLEASE BECARFUL BEFORE YOU BOOK.
I didn't even realize I had somehow ended up on the Reservations.com site - I thought I was booking directly on the hotels site. Imagine my surprise when I got a charge on my credit card - in USD when I'm in Canada and booked a Canadian hotel - and then couldn't cancel b/c it was non-refundable. The hotel itself has a refundable policy 24 hours in advance of the booking but this Reservations.com site said non refundable immediately - even though it was weeks out. Be very careful to NEVER end up booking using this site and/or read the cancellation policy very clearly (sadly I didn't notice it until I found the confirmation email in my Junk mail - too late then).
They pose as the hotel you ate booking with, charge extra fees and then did not pay the hotel and I had to pay again. Problems getting my money from them. Suggest not booking through them as you may have problems.
When I booked this hotel room for a 2 night stay 50 days from now for my son's hockey tournament they charged my credit immediately for the total room charge which was not noted anywhere and then once the reservation was confirmed it told me the room was non-refundable.
I called back immediately as I spoke to the hotel and they said I needed to make the reservation thru them to ensure our room was next to our teammates and they would not cancel my reservation. This was 20 minutes after I booked my room with them. So not only did they charge my credit card immediately they also were unwilling to cancel the reservation so we could be grouped in with our team. The person I spoke with "Yan" was polite but obviously not willing to help do the right thing. It is so sad companies like this still exist this day in age.
I booked a hotel reservation with them, but then hurricane helene hit and i had no choice but to cancel my trip I live on a barrier island in st pete beach florida, and i was literally unable to leave the island, the police had shut us down, even my sons couldnt come on the island to help us. they refused to refund my first night stay at the hotel, even though the airline, car rental, and other hotels did without a problem. I called the hotel and they told me they didnt charge me and that the charge came from this site. Its been months now, and i still have not heard from them, after many phone calls and emails I would not trust this site or recommend them to any one! Stay away!
I have by mistake book a room on reservations.com and called them right away once I realized that they said if they change or cancel I will lose everything those people seems to never made mistakes in their entire life. Be aware of this website please do not reserve on it
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
