The company's reputation is significantly marred by persistent customer service issues and a frustrating return process. Many customers report long wait times and ineffective communication, leading to dissatisfaction and a lack of trust. While some reviews highlight the quality and comfort of the products, these positives are overshadowed by complaints regarding incorrect orders, inadequate support, and hidden fees related to returns. Overall, the sentiment reflects a growing frustration among customers who feel misled and undervalued, prompting them to seek alternatives from competitors known for better service.

Zero in the way of customer service. Have been on hold many times for longer than 20 mins (then just hung up) about a problem. They are NOT Zappos, but a cheap imitation.
Probably don't have enough employees.
I ordered two pair of shoes from shoe buy after getting a recommendation from a friend. I ordered them Jan 6th. After two weeks I contacted them because I hadn't received them. The tracking said their was a train wreck and they were delayed. Shoe buy said I had to wait. Next week I emailed about the progress. Never received a reply. I tried several other times. On Feb 19th found out through tracking they were listed as destroyed and company contacted. Still nothing from shoe buy.
Hi Stephen - We are sorry to hear of the experience you have had with us and apologize for the unusual situation with your order. We are committed to making this right for you. Could you please sent an email to socialsupport@shoebuy.com with your order number? Thank you.
Shoebuy was easy to order and quick delivery. Easy return. Just note if you need something right away, and you think you might have to exchange it, it takes a bit longer. You send your shoes back. Once they receive them, then they send out your new order. Fair enough, but you have to remember to add the time it takes for them to get your return. It's very easy though, so I would not be afraid to buy shoes from them and I am a hard one to fit!
The customer service is none existent. Will never shop again. When I spend $50 on baby shoes, I don't expect to babysit the order. Many sites out there with better option, cheaper prices, and good service.
I never received my boots from shoes.com. They told me to file a police report. I live in a gated community and never had an issue with an UPS deliveries. I understand shoe.com didn't personally deliver my package however they should take responsibility for it never being received. FEDEX has been known to mess up deliveries and what company authorizes a $400 product to be just left at your door. I was supposed to have received them on new years eve and they are still waiting for FEDEX to reply. This was my first purchase from shoes.com and my last. Very disappointed in the customer service.
I have nothing but good things to say about Angela, from New Hampshire the customer service representative with whom I placed my order. She was very friendly and very efficient, the qualities one hopes all customer representatives would have. If I need to order shoes again, I would certainly use ShoeBuy thanks to Angela.
I have been buying shoes on Shoebuy.com for more than 3 years, always happy with purchase and price. Returns are no problem when needed.
PLACED AN ORDER, MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED, AFTER 4 EMAILS REQUESTING A TRACKING ORDER AND NO REPONSE, I WILL BE TURNING IT OVER TO THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AND EVERY OTHER LEGAL AGENCY WHO WILL TAKE MY COMPLAINT

European citizents must be advised about customs clearance and VAT fees. I live in Greece and for a pair of shoes that cost 52$ plus 40$ shipping the total cost was more than 3 times the prior shoes price. The UPS in Athens airport asked me to pay 153 euros for customs clearance and VAT. It is unbelievible for someone dont know.

Terrible business - not customer friendly at all. If you order shoes from Shoebuy, and try them on, they will not accept the shoes for a return (or even an exchange). If the shoes don't fit or have a defect, you will be stuck with them.
Hello Mike,
We are sorry to hear of your recent Shoebuy experience and apologize for any miscommunication about our policies. Shoebuy accepts returns and exchanges within 60 days of purchase. Our policy states that items that you return must be in the condition that you received them and in the original packaging. Shoebuy offers a one year guarantee on defects related to the manufacturer; we do not cover wear and tear. We would be happy to help look into your order to understand more about your return and provide further information about our policies. Please send an email to socialsupport@shoebuy.com with your order information so that we may further assist you.
I called for help on sizing when ordering a pair of saucony baby crib shoes. Tiffany helpedvme on Wednesday 9/10 around 4 pm. We got halfway through my list of shoes when our call was disconnected. I called back and got a different person who offered to help. When I let her know how long Tiffany had already worked with me she hunted her down and let me know Tiffany would come on the line when she completed another order. Tiffany was extremely kind and patient. She went above and beyond. I will continue to use shoe buy over amazon.
I ordered a pair of $35 shoes around the holidays. UPS tracking showed they were delivered to another town. I called Shoebuy customer service and they gave me the runaround. I continued to tell them that I looked all over for them - my neighbors, the backyard and they were not delivered to me. I contacted them several times and received no response from them. Instead of sending out another pair of shoes like good customer service, they had to try to resolve the issue with UPS before anything else could be done. Clearly the driver delivered the shoes to the wrong address as shown in tracking. They did finally issue a refund after numerous calls, but I still felt it was poor customer service.
Just had the first, and yet the WORST shopping experience at Shoebuy.com. Got a surprising bill with HUGE additional charge out of nowhere, and the funniest part was, when I asked the customer service about it, the answer from the Supervisor (Raj, 2116) was: "We are legal to do so, if you don't like it, just don't ever shop at Shoebuy.com again." Wooaahh, I certainly will follow his suggestion.
Hello L,
We are sorry to hear about your recent Shoebuy experience and want you to know this is not the level of service we strive to provide. We would be happy to help look into your order to understand more about the charges for you and to see how we can help make this right for you. Please send an email to socialsupport@shoebuy.com with your order information so that we may be able to best assist you.
I wear New Balance all the time and wanted some without laces, easy off and on Velcro style. I purchased the Men's New Balance MW411 order no. ******* (just in case shoebuy.com wants to know who is giving them the NEGATIVE review.) They were mailed promptly. I tried them on and they fit good. Then I wore the to work where I stand all day. By the 2nd hour my ANKLES were killing me I was in such severe pain with 5 hours left to go. I figited all day trying to get comfortable waiting for the day to end where I could take these off.
Got to my car and could barely drive because my ankles hurt so bad. I returned them immediately based on their reason they listed "too high".
I receive them back in the mail stating because I wore them, THEY CANNOT BE RESOLD.
I was shocked that this company is more concerned about RESELLING THE SHOES, than SATIFISYING THE CUSTOMER. They killed my ankles where I couldn't walk! But yet I am out of money because they can't RESELL THEM! Wow, do they really think customers will do business with them with that kind of mentally and policy?
Hi Diana,
We understand that you have shared your feedback with our team previously, but we wanted to take a moment to provide some additional information for you regarding your order. We are sorry to hear that you were displeased with your recent shopping experience. While we do strive to provide a pleasant experience for all of our customers, unfortunately, after reviewing your return request, we are not able to accept your shoes back for return. While we can appreciate that you found the shoes uncomfortable after wearing them, our returns and exchanges policy states that shoes must be in unworn condition to be processed for a return, and in this case, your shoes were worn and hence not eligible for return. We know this was not the resolution you were hoping to find, however, our decision to not accept your return was made carefully and in accordance with our policies (for your reference: www.shoebuy.com/info/benefits#returns). If you would like any further information about our policies or if you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us at socialsupport@shoebuy.com.
I'm in the UK I ordered shoes a wk ago and have emailed them to ask when they'll be dispatched, they sent me a generic email in return with their shipping details.
When I look on their web site it says I don't have any orders.
I bought a pair of $100 shoes. Got them quickly, tried them on, they were too big. Called customer service and they emailed me a free shipping label. Sent them back the next day. 2 weeks later, no credit on my account so I called them. The manager said that they were sent back to me because the warehouse (which is closed on weekends?!?!?) "received one shoe and a heavy pair of socks" in my return. I live in New Orleans, I don't even own a heavy pair of socks! I am livid. I absolutely 100% put 2 UNUSED SHOES back in the original box and sent them back. They are liars, frauds, and thieves. They stole my money, and now I don't even have shoes that are too big to show for it. Special place in hell for these $#*!s.
There is no service from Shoebuy at all. After I ordered I kindly asked them to review my order. Í ordered from the Netherlands and I can't anything elegant in a WW. I gave them the length of my feet. They didn't do anything and shipped the order. When I received the shoes it was obvious that 3 of them where much larger. A small service by measuring would have helped me with the right shoes. No I'm stuck with them and it cost me a lot of money. I mailed them again and there is no response.
Bought many pairs of shoes from them. Kept most. Returned a few. Prices are good. Selection is great. Shoes arrive when promised and refunds are made promptly and with no fees. Overall a great experience. I have recommended to all my friends. Great company!
In an attempt to rightfully return a pair of shoes I ordered but did not like, they were sent back to me as "refused" and I was accused of wearing them. Aside from trying them on for all of 2 minutes in front of my mirror, they were absolutely NOT WORN, and they were in the same condition that I originally received them. If they were sellable then, they are sellable now. I am still in the process of emails and phone calls with Shoe Buy customer service who are extremely rude and unhelpful. They had me take photos of the shoes, which I did, and are now asking me to take even more photos of the shoes, just to try to get me to give up! I WILL NOT.
Answer: Apparently they do not care. Not a real good omen for staying in business very long.
Answer: Stay away! I tried to make an exchange, and they charged me for the new shoes and then claimed that returned shoes were worn and damaged and wouldn't give me my money back. I wore them long enough to try them on and even then the shoes were so small and stiff that I couldn't get my feet into them! I asked the customer service "manager" (the 4th "manager" I spoke to) if we are allowed to try on the shoes and shes said "yes of course" to which I said then why do you consider what I did wearing them? She didn't have an answer. This is a scam to sell off damaged or defective merchandise. Stay away.
