I like the idea of ShopGoodwill. The problem is they have not way of keeping the individual stores honest. Just look at the post at any rating site or type shoppgoodwill.com comments into any search engine and you will see the level of dishonesty that happens on this site. From my personal experience, last week I ordered a silver statue when I received it it has not silver at all in the statue. If the site had a rating system like Amazon or eBay this kind of thing would not happen.

They say that there all about jobs? They say there all about people. There using electronics as a money grab site and selling all there electronics online. For people to support it. What they dont understand theres people like me that only go to places like that for the elecronics. Thats why there loosing out thats why they have to sell there crap online for so much. And shipping is a joke they charge a handling fee for me to buy it from them when all the stuff is donated to begin with. Pathetic whoever the ceo is they need fired on the spot cash grab thats all they are... and dont go to the local stores they dont even set anything good out anymore. Its all sold online...
I purchased and item that was described as "wearable/Resaleable" and the item is defective. I contacted them to return the item and they refused to take it back. The amber pendant is full of cracks and covered in scratches on the outside. If you buy from them think of your spent money as a donation.
I bought a broken dreamcast. Sent it back and it cost almost as much as I paid for a broken piece of crap. Then after shipped out i was finally ofgered a return slip. So now I am out of $21 it costed me to ship back garbage. Then it was closed out and no one answered me back about shipping refund. Do not buy online from them. Parts are broke and their customer service sucks. They have no professionalism and no real order.
I've had 3 items in the last few months not delivered. FedEx did not deliver to my address but ShopGoodwill states it doesn't matter to them since FedEx said they did.
Shipping for a 2.73 lb pool stick is $75.96. I contacted them and was answered by that is the correct cost.

As a collector and vendor of MTG and Pokemon cards I can tell you that the ending prices on the cards are always many times above the retail on these cards. You can also tell that the people listing them know what they are doing as they always show the good cards in the pictures. Go to goodwill on ebay if you want to get good deals from them, this is not the site to buy on.
Seller wasn't happy with the amount an item sold for, I guess and outbid me with 3 seconds remaining. I was bidding $20+ more than the item price and somehow I was outbidded by exactly $1 seconds before the bid ended with no competition for more than half an hour...
Bought several DVDs as individual listings that concluded at same time from same location they proceeded to charge $15 for handling along to package 6 DVDs in same package I complained and they basically told me to pound sand I complained more then they took $5 off still crazy though. The craziest parts is all of this inventory is donated. They try to milk every last dollar they can and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if there is shill bidding happening combined with just terrible controls for preventing bid fraud abuse from other bidders as well who might be bitter about the price of something jacking the price sky high and then bailing with no recourse only to re register under a family members name. It really is the worst platform. I still browse it but of all the auction platforms this is the one I do the LEAST business with. BUYER BEWARE.
Received an item that was listed and picture in good condition. When it arrived it was broken and now worthless. They asked for pictures of broken item and a picture of shipping label. I sent all items requested and it has now been two weeks and there has been no response to the complaint. I have sent messages to any sellers of my open orders that I can't do buisness until this complaint is resolved. There is no customer service with this buisness they just ignore your complaint. Don't do buisness with this organization.
I put a bid on the online goowill auction for a guitar hero and won the auction for it. I received an empty box. How can you show the box and claim its a guitar hero controller set when the box is completely empty, it wasn't factory sealed when i received it and the box was obviously light and empty. I only hope others will see this as a buyers beware before purchasing from goodwill online.
Edit for update they refunded me and apologized. The are short on staff so it took awhile (about a month) to reply back to me.
I bid on what was described as a Roku 3 and won. Only when it shipped and I opened the box - for a Roku 3 - did I notice it is a Roku 2. I contacted Customer Service about it, Aug 1st, still no response Aug 3,5:07pm central time. AND this roku 2 does not work! How bout that? This is the 3rd & last item I will purchase from goodwill online. Junk sales items, false advertising and no communication.
Passing 10 days, and they are saying due to COVID they cannot ship. Have sent an email to their support stating I will cancel the order before Christmas if they do not ship my guitar amp.
EDIT: After getting someone else's attention by posting a review on their Facebook page, they finally got my amp shipped and to me.
Wrote a review about the auction website. I couldn't even attach a photo about what I was talking about. Even this review website is goofy that I can't attach my photos. Anyway, Minnesota had a pair of VERY used sandals (a Birckie knock off) and very used Crocs starting at $29.99. WHAT?! This is crazy; especially for a stupid website that is so stupid compared to the last two program versions. Just awful. Better to shop FB. I can't believe I just said that but it's true.
I bid on an auction 15 seconds before the stated close of bidding-plenty of time for bid to be processed (I used a timer that was set to their close of auction time) but the auction ended early. This is the second time this has happened. Are these auctions rigged? Are Good Will employees scamming these auctions?
I gotta say that this site is pretty awesome. I have purchased 5 items so far and everything I got was in good to great shape and a few items shipped faster then I expected. I won a gameboy color a few weeks back and got it a few days ago and have not been able to put it down, came with a few games and the console works great. Also got 3 pool cues. Two came already and are just what I expected, a few scuffs and knicks but not warped or bowed and great on the table. The other is scheduled to arrive this week, and I can't wait. The only downside is shipping taking a little long coming from far west coast to far east coast, but I guess at the unbeatable price it isn't so bad to wait. Overall, I will continue to do business with shop good will. Every item I have won I have compared prices to amazon, etsy, etc, and all items on shop good will has been lower with shipping then other sites.
I would like to know why North Florida Goodwill wants to keep stuff you've paid for for as long as possible. If I'm expected to pay within the stated 7 day time, and I pay as soon as I've won then they can ship within 5 days of payment as stated! If you are going to post rules then YOU must follow them too! A shipping number means NOTHING when you still have the item. The last item I bought took over 2 weeks to ship out and now my KitchenAid mixer is still there! 2 days of being given a tracking number and it still says ups awaiting item. I contacted them and they actually told me they would give me a tracking number when it shipped. You GAVE me a tracking number, it's been 10 days since I paid and UPS doesn't have it yet.
I like to buy things now I do not like that bidding. I do not like the eBay style. I love the goodwills but they are close down at Springfield Ma. I used to buy everything at the one on Sumner Ave. This is discouraging.
Items listed as IOB (in original box) with photos of packaging, and title of item-- but when it arrives- a totally (and obviously) different item is in the box. I know they saw the GIANT Identifying label on the item shipped because they wrapped it in thin bubble wrap.
I don't mind if an item is dirty or even broken but WOW! Pure deception.
Goodwill picks who will win the auctions. Everytime I start an account and bid on an item, my account is disabled the same day and someone else takes the high bid lead. Something is going on with them. They need to be reported to the bbb and they need some competion. Greedy on prices for items given to them for free. Shipping is insane!
Recently I purchased an order of 26 lbs of legos which included 6.6 ounces of marbles/ball bearings, 2 lbs 12.2 ounces of knee, 3 lbs 12.2 ounces of mega blocks as well as: food, a used bandaid, a pin, and other garbage. They said I could send it back and provided a label. Only when I looked at the fine print - they don't refund shipping and handling.
2 other orders haven't been sent and it has been 10 days!
Answer: It did not get lost they did not get the price they wanted for the said item so it's lost they will wait for a while and realist it under a different item number and raise the shipping price and bid price with the auto bods so they can get a higher price for the item
Answer: Well look at the salary of their CEO vs. The salary of the Salvation Army's CEO. That will tell you what kind of "non-profit" it is.
Answer: If buyer got to leave their personal experiences with this company, they wouldn't exist in a year. They aren't going to risk that. Only honest sellers want their information posted for everyone to see. So don't expect it from Goodwill.
Answer: If you aren't using paypal or a credit card, there isn't much recourse. With paypal, the seller has to prove you received the item. If they can't, you will get your money back.
