In my first review, I complained that the Shop Your Way program had so many limitations that it was as good as useless. You could only use points on a few useless items on Sears' website. Today, in addition to those useless items, you can use your points for anything on the website, either sold by Sears or second hand merchants. Best, you can exchange your points for a wide array of gift cards (sorry, Apple is not one of them).
I used the Citi Shop Your Way MasterCard for a few weeks before I tried to make airline reservations. It was declined. I had to use another card which was accepted immediately. Then I called the telephone number on the card and waited between five and ten minutes. The rep told me that she could see that my purchase had been declined, but she could not help me. She would have to transfer my call to another department. I waited about fifteen minutes on hold listening to three messages that said that my wait time was five minutes. I disconnected the call. I called again the next day, waited five or six minutes, and went through a similar process. However, this time the rep took my information and said that he would return my call soon. I still don't know why my card was declined or if this issue will persist. This card is going into the back of a drawer and will be used as an emergency backup.
The point returns seem attractive until you try and use them. First many products on the site are not eligible for points, including some that are or were Sears products! Second almost all items are available on other sites for less money than for other sites. Finally, shipping on some items may be delivered by a service that is so slow that makes the purchasing painful.
The rewards cannot be collected, so the points are worthless & customer svc sucks! Interest is sky high & they refuse to lower it. They don't work with customers during the pandemic, preferring to kick us when we are down. This company is a scam! NO LEGITIMACY!
My 77 yr old Mother has been fighting this company to get 3 unapproved charges cleared for months now. The company submitting the charges (Coast to Coast) is stating her account is cleared with no record on file of her credit card and no future charges will be submitted.
Shop My Way claims they are researching the first 2 charges and will not allow any future charges to post BUT this is a LIE! Just 2 days ago she received a new statement with the same amount from the other lying company!
Since they want to play with their loyal elderly customer, we'll let her attorney handle this from here! See you and the other lying company in court!
Got an e mail today: "An important document regarding the subject line above has been posted to your Document Center.
Because your letter may contain information that could impact your account, please review it as quickly as possible." But, can't get into my account, and their so-called customer service is non existant! Just a phone tree taking you to a hang up...

I still did not get my new card in the mail and my card expired. I have to pay last month bill but they are constantly calling me harassing me for payment. I just spend all my tax return paying half this card off. Every time I call to discuss when will I get my new card they continue to tell me I have a payment to make and we just send cards out. When i want questions answered they are short with me but they call to harass me about my payment. Before shop your way took over my payments was about a week late and I never received calls from sears. As soon as I pay this credit card off I am going to close my account. I hate customer service.
Unable to use on initial purchase despite having info. -- items removed from cart as soon as put in. Inquired on promotion after received card with no information on it, answering in past tense will not confirm promotion through chat. Told me to call, they won't even confirm when the account was opened. Terrible people, totally unprofessional. They are scamming.
This is the worst program you can get into too. I was trying to use my points to book a hotel and that was impossible. The website doesn't work and using the points at check out had some technical issues on their end. There is no one to directly speak to. I am over it. I will not sure this credit card anymore to use points. This is wack.
Scammers. Please avoid them. They never delivered my credit card even after making repeated requests. They moved my credit statements to new card number and I am stuck with old card which doesn't match with my statement. Terrible and rude customer service. No wonder they are running out of business.
I had 94.00 worth of shop your way reward points and they disappeared when I tried to use them at a Sears online store. I spent 4 and a hallf hours on the phone trying to work this out and fix it with absolutely no success. Total scam.
I will give the redeem your rewards a 1 star as I can't go lower than that! If you have 2 hours of free time and the patience to be transferred a half dozen times, this is up your alley!
I had over ******* points and received an email that a $75 gift card was sent to an unknown email address. My account was locked and had been hacked. I spoke to 3 representatives and was told 'sorry' and they could not reinstate my points or give me the stolen $75. I only received apologies for my situation. This is not a safe card to use for points, the company is not taking any fraud responsibility, and I do not recommend Shop Your Way.
Customer service is horrible you're on hold then they hang up on you the automated service tells you to use their app to redeem your shop your way points but the app does not allow you to add your credit card in order to claim it there is no customer service available to help you with this I do not recommend This credit card company
Go ahead and try to buy something with your points! 99.9% of the time, it says not available in your zip code, or not available for shipping or store pick up. I will now stop using the card 12/2021 and will be researching Discover card. I tried to buy a dremel tool, shoes, towels etc and NOTHING worked. I signed on for a Lowes gift card. Now, let me drive 10 miles to Lowes only to find out the bar code doesn't work!

DO NOT sign up for shop your way credit cards. Capital One Bank ALSO scammed me on my points!!! I dont remember how much but it was at in the $100's and with no recourse, even with a letter to the bank!

If you try to redeem your points something will go wrong every time! This is a total scam! We have $71+ dollars in points. I loaded a cart with 14 items. Go to cart for checkout... "your cart is empty". Scam, scam, scam! Stay away from this high interest NO REWARD card!
It is amazing that you can put in accurate information and 100 percent of the time SYW MC will say it's inaccurate! I have 120 dollars to redeem in rewards and 4 different customer service reps can not solve my issues. The last rep told me I couldn't have been on the phone for an hour because they just opened 10 minutes ago... really? I'm lying? Wow
Sears craftsman club exclusive offer $20.00 off synthetic oil change and $10.00 in points?
After taking my 2014 gmc to auto center to get service /oil change they over charged me only gave me 10.00 off and never changed the oil this could have voided my car warranty
When i got home i got out checked the oil it looked dirty on the stick called them mgr. At 1665 state hill rd sears auto center said he watched them do it. So I got and email saying I had 20.00 in surprise points. So I made an online order. One of the items I had to return... worth 19.99. Drove out of state to return these shoes. The clerk said I would get my points back. I tried to buy something. And only had. 34 in points. They said it takes time. Sent an inquiry... and since the original date of the original offer had expires... I GET NOTHING BACK IN POINTS. Had the clerk told me this... I would have kept the shoes and given them to someone. So I was out the shoes and the points. What a rip off. Plus I bought 25.00 in candy that day thinking I had 19.99 in points... and when I went to check out... I only had. 34 cents... but they told me it just takes time to get the points. WRONG. Plus I never got the 5.00 bonus I was supposed to also get for buying the candy. NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH THIS PROGRAM... nor do they care.
I had a Sears card for many years and they switched me to Shop Your Way. Seems like a normal credit card until I go to redeem my points. I can't redeem my points. The checkout never works. I just get the message "There is some problem now, please try to checkout after some time ". The message is written like a fraud message, I think it might be a scam. Very disappointing.

this is a credit card that I use for many different products. It fails with its reward program.
I applied for this card back in september 2017, just when Sears was closing. Used it once to shop there and never used it again. I completely forgot that I had set it up for my statements to be online. I also set up my bills to be automatically debited. Now I just found out that there has been fraudulent activity. I have proof that I haven't used my card since the end of September, however some scum of the earth got a hold of my card and has charged $3,000. Now I been fighting this since February, and was told that the account was closed. Now in March they still charged me for payments. This is ridiculous and this credit card company is terrible. Does anyone have advice as who I can contact to have this resolved, because their fraud department is not doing their job!
You can not redeem your points so it is a total scam spent two weeks 10 emails and about 20 phone calls and can never speak with a representative of syw the credit card customer service says they cant help because it is a different company. But they signed a contract with them and they are such a poor reflection on the credit card company that i will cancel the card
While I do like Sears and Kmart, I didn't like shopyourway.com at all when I decided to check it out for the first time, which was today. Some people may like it but I found it confusing, frustrating, and time-consuming. I gave up trying to find most of what I was looking for. The prices were also disappointing. Then I blew some fuses trying to sign out. It must have taken me at least 10 minutes to learn how, and I don't remember how I did it. I don't think I'll be visiting shopyourway.com again.
They shipped an item to me not using the original box. They then used 3 boxes and a lot of shipping tape to send the item to me. I received the broken! I then had to some how but the box back together, because Shop Your Way wouldn't send me a new box or the proper box to ship the item back. They received the item and here it is 2 months later and I still haven't received my refund to my debit card like their email stated.
Their online sales department also sucks! They don't know how to listen. When they don't want to hear what the problem is or they don't know how to fix the problem they put you on hold or they take their headset off and walk away. They even transferred me to Citibank awards department.
They refer to an escalation department which you can't talk too and they don't know how to give back to their customer a refund.

The best rewards program for saving money, by far, easy to earn points from sears, kmart, or their online partners, FREECASH gives you extra discounts too. I've gotten several thousand dollars in points from them in the last few years. It's legit.
I have called 4 times, left on hold for 15 t0 25 minutes. Promised they would fix the account issue and would Email me but it would take at least 48 hours. Never received an email or any correspondence and called again. I asked for supervisors and they were unable to follow through. They seemed like they wanted to genuinely help but dropped the ball again and again.
What a horrible way to do business. Reps have no idea what they are doing. I've been hung up on. Transfered to wrong places and spent HOURS to do a warranty exchange on two small items. Litterally hours. Finally got the exchange completed. Paid extra for faster shipping but they took 2 days to ship the product out. Now the product won't be here when I needed them to be. This won't happen twice. Never again SYW.
