In my first review, I complained that the Shop Your Way program had so many limitations that it was as good as useless. You could only use points on a few useless items on Sears' website. Today, in addition to those useless items, you can use your points for anything on the website, either sold by Sears or second hand merchants. Best, you can exchange your points for a wide array of gift cards (sorry, Apple is not one of them).
I used the Citi Shop Your Way MasterCard for a few weeks before I tried to make airline reservations. It was declined. I had to use another card which was accepted immediately. Then I called the telephone number on the card and waited between five and ten minutes. The rep told me that she could see that my purchase had been declined, but she could not help me. She would have to transfer my call to another department. I waited about fifteen minutes on hold listening to three messages that said that my wait time was five minutes. I disconnected the call. I called again the next day, waited five or six minutes, and went through a similar process. However, this time the rep took my information and said that he would return my call soon. I still don't know why my card was declined or if this issue will persist. This card is going into the back of a drawer and will be used as an emergency backup.
This card sucks $#*! they are the worst I paid my balance off every month they cancelled me because of a outstanding medical bill they can go to hell!
The WORST credit card you can get, FEW benefits, horrible interest rate, no loyalty, STAY FAR AWAY! MANY other credit cards that offer much more than this one does with more benefits!

I've been getting points from Gasbuddy and have been using then on SYW for over a year. I've bought many things no problem, but I learned that the points don't cover shipping (WHICH IS HIGH). There are few products that you can use the points on, and even if you find something it's either not available or there's some kind of error. I recently had an error where it wouldn't let me pay. I had to start all over again, but then even though I had applied my points when the transaction finally went through, I paid full price with no points. I sent an email to cancel, I called and they say: "OUR PRODUCTS SHIP TOO FAST TO CANCEL ANYTHING" -paraphrased but I asked if I could get some points back or money back because of THEIR ERROR and they said "I CAN'T CHANGE ANYTHING, BUT YOU CAN SPEND YOUR POINTS STILL." Yeah right! I just paid $52 for a t-shirt and two sets of baby clothes along with inflated shipping and I'm just supposed to eat it cause their policies are built to bring the company down.
I found out pretty early this year I can earn points/dollars through ShopYourWay sweepstakes as Freecash, and when I buy items at Sears website or Shopyouway I do the pickup when I can on small stuff until I have enough money to get big items. Well several of the Sears store employees are rude and/or when I see "processing for store pickup" for several days I wonder what they could be doing since the store I go to is always empty or very few customers altogether. I have to either call the store to ask why it is taking so long or "chat now" with Sears website either way I am pretty much wasting my time. I had a flashlight through the pickup for over a month before I finally called to ask why, which I can see why store is shutting down. Then there is the ShopYourWay website where you can enter in sweepstakes to get money to get merchandise cheaper, more and more each day I am having trouble being able to enter in the sweepstakes as far as the Shares, videos and the daily codes you can enter, can't get a hold of anyone to help fix the technical issues. They treat me like I'm stupid and seem to refuse to help, which leads me to see why these companies are going out of business. Even the Win Club in Facebook they are no help and are very rude.
It amazes me that a company that was founded upon premise of easily bringing products to the consumer, is now almost incapable of fulfilling customer orders in a timely and easy fashion. My first problem was the inability to access the purchase page. It took THREE DAYS and countless emails and calls to nameless and faceless people to finally get the suggestion to try a different web browser. Thankfully, that worked, but the website should state that Safari is not supported. Secondly, once I WAS able to access my check-out page, it did not allow me to use my accrued SHOPYOURWAY points and then I had to call several different numbers to cancel. I was finally able, with the help of their employee Pearl, via a phone order, to FINALLY make my purchase. This step took ANOTHER day, for a total of FOUR days to buy appliances online. It would have been less wasteful of my time, to build a time machine(which is impossible) go back to 1892. Mail in my order, and wait for the Pony Express to deliver it. My entire ordeal in dealing with SEARS and SHOPYOURWAY is a monument to why this once storied company has fallen on its own petard.

These people are scammers. I've been a customer for years and finally had to dispute a charge. These people have lied saying I didn't send them information that I had to send 3 times, every time I call them every representative tells me something different about the same situation, the have a new policy everyday, and they will lie, cheat, and do everything in their power to not give you your money back. I've never dealt with a credit card company that we can't speak with the person handling our claim, or that works against me instead of help me. Its really shady how the investigators hide behind the scenes and scam and lie to not approve our disputes. They ask for one thing and when u send it, they lie and deny your claim saying they didn't receive the information. Whoever is handling the claims needs to be fired because they are crooked and obviously don't know how to do the job. They act like it's going to kill them and cost them to return your money from a dispute. Do not get this card or do any business with this shady company. The shop your way rewards department is also $#*!ed. I have a lot of points that are not showing on my account, I called shop your way, they said I have the points but they don't know why their not in my account to shop, they transferred me to sears, (when they are supposed to be the ones handling the shop your way points), then sears transferred me back to them, and they transferred me back to sears. This went on all day and no one knows why my points aren't in my account to shop online or in store, and they told me if I want to use my points I have to call and place an order over the phone to use my points. This whole company is $#*!ed and now I understand why sears has been shutting down. They don't know how to handle ANY business.

Shop Your Way says you can get points back for your purchases that you can then use on products in an online store.
So you watch your points balance, you save up, and when you have enough points you go to exchange the points for something.
Then you go to the store and NOTHING YOU CLICK ON IS ACTUALLY FOR SALE. There's no way to sort by "is this available." You have to click on everything to see if it's purchasable and EVERYTHING says cannot be shipped, cannot be picked up, not available in your zip code.
When you finally find something that can be purchased, you find out, it's just an ad! The ads can't be bought with ShopYourWay points, they're just ads that ask you to by something at full price for a boosted amount of ShopYourWay points, which... can't be used for anything!
I clicked on over 150 items, I found 1 item that could be exchanged for ShopYourWay points - a Candy Land board game.
So this product, billed as a way to earn points to buy a variety of products, is better described as a "Candy Land points" card.

I ordered an inflatable Christmas lawn decoration. They took my money, but never shipped product. Customer service was silent. Find another vendor.

I have had an outrageously horrible experience with the Shop Your Way, MasterCard as of lately at first things were fine it was like any credit card you paid on time you don't have any issues no one calls you perfectly fine. But as of the last several months due to health issues I was unable to make payments on time and things have gotten behind. But once I've gotten back to the point where I'm able to start paying things back I sent off an $868 payment, via Western Union money orders now the Western Union money orders only go up to 500 so you have to get two if you're paying something like $868 so I had one for 500 and one for 368. That was sent back of 11th of this month of July, so we decided to check a few days later me and my son and see if the payments have been received and processed properly we were told that the payment for 500 was received and processed properly but the other payment was not processe because it was seen as 868 instead of the 368 which is completely baffling to me. From there we proceeded to try to talk to several different individuals constantly being transferred to get this resolved and see what we would have to do so the gentleman that was nice enough knowledgeable enough to tell us hey this is what happen with the payment this is what you might have to do to see and get it rectified. So we took it upon ourselves to go to the place where we got the money order for Western Union and the location stated that there was nothing that they could do but they could call for us so she took it upon herself to call Western Union and they stated that it would take 30 days for us to get a refund and they would also charge us a $15 fee. So we left that location with the information that was given to us called shop your way back and they stated that "well you need to reach out to your bank"... It's not our bank it's a money order service and they stated that it would take 30 days plus a $15 fee to get a refund. They acted like there was nothing that they could do and this issue still has not been resolved.

The worst online experience ever! I placed an order for a tool that I needed for a job. Placed order August 9th, 2018. Pick up date was August 22. Timing was great as I needed the tool shortly after delivery date. I got a confirmation email the day I placed my order. So, August 24 rolls around with no communication. No text, no email, nothing. So I call customer service and the gal said the item is no longer available. Now I'm mad. I told why was I not notified? She apologized and assured that she will process a refund to my PayPal account in 7 to 10 days. Well, 7 business days pass and no refund, I call again. This time the dude said my order is still waiting to be processed. Explained again my situation. He said no, nothing has been done. I'm raging mad now, he said he will personally make the refund. I hung up and called back again the next day. The gal that I spoke to said my order for the item is still being processed because it's out of stock. I went ballistic and she hung up on me. I went on PayPal's site and placed a complaint in which sears was emailed a copy of my complaint. Sears emails me that they will investigate the situation and reply within 72 hours... lol what a joke as it's totally their fault. 4 days go by and I receive a email from Sears stating that they processed my cancellation request. WTF, I never requested a cancellation. They never had the item available. Fricken Liars. Well it's September 12, and they said it will be credited to PayPal in 7 to 10 days. I wasted 3-4 hours of my time trying to back my$22.72 totally ridiculous. They just want to keep your money. So very sad. Will never do business with sears again. Buyers be aware! If I don't receive my money, I will be making a personal visit to Sears
Using the Sears card is worthless I will use my other credit cards that have better offers!
