I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and service. I ordered an authentic pair of Tom Ford reading glasses with blue glare protection. Not only were my frames on sale but it was really easy to get my prescription done with them. I simply uploaded my prescription and every other tid bit requested was done online. My favorite feature was the virtual styler. Everyone knows trying on frames is really important before making the purchase. If you upload your picture you can do a virtual fit for all the frames they sell on their website. It's really cool. I definitely plan to do more shopping on this website in the future.

“Disappointing Experience with SmartBuyGlasses”

I experienced considerable frustration with SmartBuyGlasses after placing an order on July 19,2024 (Order No. US*******722G). Despite being reassured multiple times that the product was in stock and would be delivered promptly within 5-7 business days, the service was anything but reliable. The company failed to communicate effectively; after the delivery deadline elapsed, I had to initiate multiple follow-ups. It was only then I was informed that the original frame I ordered had a defect and was unavailable, a fact that was only disclosed after the promised delivery period had ended. Choosing a replacement frame did not alleviate the issues. The process was delayed again as the company requested further details to start manufacturing, indicating that my order hadn't even been processed yet. This lack of professionalism and poor communication from SmartBuyGlasses has not only been a major inconvenience but also impacted my plans significantly, as the glasses were intended as a gift. Based on my experience, I advise potential buyers to be wary of the unreliable service provided by SmartBuyGlasses.

Ordered some prescription sun glasses with thin and light lenses:

Pros: Easy to order, quick delivery, good quality lenses and a very competitive price.

Cons: The thin and lights were not "thin and light" in my perspective, they were much thicker than I had expected.

I had a bit of ping pong between customer services and had to escalate to a manager to finally resolve the issue however in the end they were very responsive and managed to resolve my complaint.

Overall I think this sight is Fab for lower prescriptions and very competitive and easy to order, but If you have a higher prescription I would advise you to phone them before ordering so you can make sure you get the right lens for your frame.

Tip for consumers:
Don't if you have a high prescription and need thin and light lenses !

First the site looked fishy but i gave it a try and received the package 2 days later from hong kong. The glasses came in literally new and untouched. All perfect and i got a free cleaning kit with special screwdriver for fastening the bridges if needed. Seriously, best place i shopped glasses. And the prices? Cant beat. Only issue they need to fix is "answering" my emails. I asked them a couple questions regarding payment and shipping and until today (3 months after) no answer! So, customer care = sucks, but, product and speed = perfect.

I ordered prescription eyeglasses from SmartBuyGlasses.com thinking I was saving money. However, you get what you pay for. I've had multiple issues during the order/return process. First, the item that was "in stock" took over 35 days to arrive. Second, the glasses arrived with a loose hinge, scratches on the frame, and glue spots left around the frame. Finally, when I tried to return the items, they don't give clear return instructions with customer service providing a different address that what you get when you enter the RMA# at USPS. So, it feels like even if you have an issue, they will make it very difficult to return/fix the problem. Stay away!

Tip for consumers:
Stay away from Smartbuyglasses.com! Saving a few dollars is not worth the headache of slow shipping, poor quality, and bad return policy.

It's over a month that I ordered my glasses and I still haven't received them. The customer service is horrible and they keep giving me the run around! Now they say it could be another 3 weeks! These people are not organised nor do they care about their customers!

Ordered frames on 12/23/2016. Contacted almost a week later to be told they were out of stock, but inventory confirmed with manufacture and that I should have frames within 1 - 4 weeks. We are now 5 weeks later (6 weeks from order placement) and I still do not have my frames.

Contact customer service and the best response they can give is that they will need to check with their buyer to confirm status and will let me know within 24 hours by email... it should be interesting to see how this resolves.

At this point, I would recommend anyone to stay away from this company unless you want to deal with headaches, poor customer service, and wait for false promises to be delivered on.

There were several trials/tribulations with different products being back ordered or not available. Communication was decent and refunds/payments were worked out easily and quickly. I'd order from them again, but not before checking on inventory/ availability first!

This was a great site that offers quality glasses at a discount price. You can't beat the prices of the lenses which includes free upgrades. I am waiting for them to offer mirror finishes on sunglasses. I will definitely purchase from them again.

I purchased glasses for my boyfriend in November 2017. A week later received an automated email saying they frames we selected had been discontinued (although the website said they were available at the time of purchase). The email had no instructions on how to update the order.

I emailed customer service with the details of another frame he liked, to change the order. It is now Mid February 2018 and I have not had any confirmation the order has been changed. I have emailed countless times, plus messaged them via their website contact form. It seems they only reply to messages from their contact form - but then don't reply once you respond to their message.

Hopeless! Extremely poor customer service. I have ordered though this company before and my experience was good. But I will never use this company again.

They emailed and said my transaction had been flagged as potentially fraudulent. They asked for copies of my passport, drivers license or other id. I think not baby puppy! But my credit card company said the payment had gone through. I left emails about my concerns and I finally got one back in bad english saying they can't process the order unless I do it PayPal which they will send to me. On the website, there is no live chat function or telephone numbers and it doesn't recognize my number so only way to communicate with them is by email. I think its a scam and I am going to dispute the charges with my credit card company.

Very good product. I upgraded lenses to a higher level, without any large extra cost, and these lenses are just as good, if not better, than lenses in my old glasses bought from local dealer.

I got glasses delivered 2 weeks after ordering, and they came from Hong Kong - no problems with tax or anything.

Massive delay in shipping item
My worst online purchasing experience ever. Item purchased was not physically available but listed as available on the website. Made to wait about 3 months before taking the decision to cancel. Later checking the website still stated available!. I was offered a 5% discount which I think is pathetic compared to what other companies would offer. Lousy service! Nice weekly updates identifying zero progress on my order.

Great experience. Lots of nice designer frames for a fraction of the price. Plus very cheap prescription lenses. Received my glasses fast and they were perfect! Didn't even require an adjustment. Same glasses in store were $600+. Got them for 192$.

SmartBuyGlasses may have good prices and selections but it took such a long time to receive my order. For some reason, the frames I ordered were narrower than I expected for a size 52. They felt more like a size 49 or 50. So I hope these are genuine sizes.
My wife also ordered from them but had to cancel her order because she didn't receive the order even after 3 weeks. She followed up numerous times and they didn't respond to her queries on the status of the order until she asked for a cancellation.

I don't plan on ordering through their store again except they are the only ones that carry a particular frame of choice.

I live in New York City and after making an appointment to get my prescription and get the glasses that I wanted at a local place called Collen Optical their quote was around $800. I asked the sales person write down the model number of the frames that I was looking for; came home when I'm smartbuyglasses.com and found The exact same frames for $200. The $700 price at the other store included my insurance even with no insurance discount or deduction my frames were that much cheaper on smartbuyglasses.com!

I recommend this website to everyone I know and they all have had similar experiences such a great site!

My experience with SmartBuyGlasses has been awful and I have never been exposed to such delivery problems when ordering from another company before. The shipment of my 90 day lenses package has taken more than 1 month and 2 weeks so far. Furthermore they do not have any telephone support, and they only send replies after 24 hours (according to their policy), which means that communication with the company is slow and highly rigid. In total I have had to spend 160 euro extra because of problems that they are responsible for.

I will personally never buy from this company again, and I want to warn people that mistakes can happen from their side, and that it will end up costing you money (something which they do not want to compensate).

In my opinion there are far better companies out there, both when it comes to pricing and service policies.

As far as everything that could go wrong when wrong
1. At no point during my order process was I informed that additional taxed(25%) would be added when my glasses where picked up.(They have now agreed to refund this)
2. The shipment was not good enough labeled and where stuck in the toll for several days
3. When I finally got the glasses they had managed to deliver with the wrong prescription!

They get one star for quick response. But this does not exactly encourage me to buy from them again. Hopefully I will get my money back!

I ordered my glasses a month ago. After many emails which were responded to timely, if vague in informative information, I finally received shipping information today. I saw the glasses at my local optometrists office so I am hoping they will be authentic and know what to expect. I bought them online for cost savings but am not sure if waiting 1 month was really worth it. Hopefully I am satisfied upon arrival.

After having had a bit of an issue getting my payment to go through, I called and spoke to a very helpful customer service rep by the name of Marjorie. She assured me she would help me with my order and proceeded to inform me of every update thereafter, until I had my sunglasses in my hands. To make up for the inconvenience of my lengthy payment process, once approved, they shipped my item overnight! I am beyond happy with the customer service, packaging of the sunglasses and the sunglasses themselves. They are beautiful and 100% authentic. They even include a cute lens cleaner kit with mini screwdriver. Prices are outstanding and the free shipping is a huge plus. Will recommend to everyone I know.

The returns policy of this company states that you will get a 100% refund. They do not in fact refund any shipping costs. In addition, the glasses I bought were imported from Hong Kong so the return cost was very high. Be warned, you will not get all of your money back and customer services provide evasive responses to questions.

Tip for consumers:
Refund policy claims to offer a full refund but they do not cover shipping costs. The product I bought was imported from Hong Kong and that was not stated in the description so the return costs were unexpectedly very expensive.
