I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and service. I ordered an authentic pair of Tom Ford reading glasses with blue glare protection. Not only were my frames on sale but it was really easy to get my prescription done with them. I simply uploaded my prescription and every other tid bit requested was done online. My favorite feature was the virtual styler. Everyone knows trying on frames is really important before making the purchase. If you upload your picture you can do a virtual fit for all the frames they sell on their website. It's really cool. I definitely plan to do more shopping on this website in the future.

“Disappointing Experience with SmartBuyGlasses”

I experienced considerable frustration with SmartBuyGlasses after placing an order on July 19,2024 (Order No. US*******722G). Despite being reassured multiple times that the product was in stock and would be delivered promptly within 5-7 business days, the service was anything but reliable. The company failed to communicate effectively; after the delivery deadline elapsed, I had to initiate multiple follow-ups. It was only then I was informed that the original frame I ordered had a defect and was unavailable, a fact that was only disclosed after the promised delivery period had ended. Choosing a replacement frame did not alleviate the issues. The process was delayed again as the company requested further details to start manufacturing, indicating that my order hadn't even been processed yet. This lack of professionalism and poor communication from SmartBuyGlasses has not only been a major inconvenience but also impacted my plans significantly, as the glasses were intended as a gift. Based on my experience, I advise potential buyers to be wary of the unreliable service provided by SmartBuyGlasses.

They appear to have great prices on sunglasses but don't be fooled by their deceptive practices. Also don't expect to receive your order very quickly. It took me 4 weeks to receive my order. They had been shipped from China. Three weeks after I received them I received a bill from FedEx for Brokerage fees and Duties Tax and Customs Fees in the amount of $26.54. There was no mention of this when I placed the order. I have contacted the company about these charges but so far no response. Save your time and money and buy elsewhere.

The returns policy of this company states that you will get a 100% refund. They do not in fact refund any shipping costs. In addition, the glasses I bought were imported from Hong Kong so the return cost was very high. Be warned, you will not get all of your money back and customer services provide evasive responses to questions.

Tip for consumers:
Refund policy claims to offer a full refund but they do not cover shipping costs. The product I bought was imported from Hong Kong and that was not stated in the description so the return costs were unexpectedly very expensive.

My worst online purchasing experience ever. Item purchased was not physically available but listed as available on the website. Made to wait about 2 weeks before being notified that item not available. Later after waiting another week, another email saying item still not in stock. I was offered a 5% discount which I think is pathetic compared to what other companies would offer.

I had trouble at choosing the right type of glasses for my prescription. I have astigmatism and I found difficult to choose between distance, reading or computer. Hopefully, I wrote to your customer service and got an answer on the following day which is great. I love my glasses and the delivery delay was very acceptable.

Another little comment, your search engine is processing slowly. Seems like the requests to your server are too slow for the size of your database. I use Firefox on PC if it can help you.

Honestly, I was quite sceptical at the beginning with that web site, the reviews where between 1 stars (fake items, shipping error, etc.) and 5 stars (simply perfect)

I ordered a pair of Tom Ford with the optical lenses and 1 month after I got them!

They got problems ordering the glasses put I send and e-mail and they've answered it within 24 hours to explain why my order was still on process.

They do ship from Hong Kong, that's why I was scared to received a fake product. But not at all! My frame and the lenses are perfect and i'm really satisfied.

My only critic is the time. The whole process took about 1 month, but I saved more than 400$ on prescription lenses + frame, so it's worth it.

But, be careful with every web site you order on and check reviews.

I received genuine goods within one week of order, from Hong Kong to California. A question to customer service was answered within 2 days, which to me is somewhat slow, but considering the volume they must do, forgivable.

I am writing this review to put people's mind at ease. As stated, I had a positive experience with this company. I would consider another purchase.

I am not rating any sort of warranty service as I have not (and hopefully will not) dealt with the company in that context.

Tip for consumers:
Be sure to note the "Fast Shipping" tag on the product page.

I ordered some Carrera sunglasses from this site. I read reviews on here because I was concerned about possible fraud since the glasses come from Hong Kong. However, they arrived just two days after my order was placed, with helpful notifications along the way. The glasses are authentic and came in adequate packaging. I'm very satisfied, and will definitely buy from smartbuyglasses.com in the future.

I was very excited to order a style of Raybans that had been discontinued. However, realized very quickly they are not real, and all I get are emails trying to make me buy something else instead for them. Awful.

It's that simple - you place an order and it turns up a little while later. Very clean and efficient experience. The website's memory for your last order is super helpful.

I ordered contact lenses. The only complaint I have, and this is quite petty, is that the order is delivered by courier instead of regular post. This has few advantages for me, since I order my lenses nice and early. However, it requires me to either hang around the house when the delivery is scheduled or walk to the nearest pick-up point, which is less than convenient.

Ordered a set of raybans for myself and the husband on Monday and was amazed to see them delivered on Thursday! As they were almost $90 cheaper locally it seemed too good to be true, so I had them inspected by the staff at my nearby high-street store and they confirmed the authenticity.

I waited over 4 weeks for my glasses. The advised me to change my order or ask for a refund, as my initial order is not available. I asked for a refund 2 weeks ago. While initially they were very prompt to answer my questions, it's been 3 days now and no one replies. I am sending daily emails and leaving message on their phone (no one answers directly). We are talking $300 which they billed right away, and I am concerned of fraud.

9 days after placing an order I called for a status update and, after being given the runaround for over 2 hours and disconnected multiple times, they admitted that within 24 hours of my order being placed their supplier informed them that the frames I had selected were out of stock with no estimated availability date but they had not notified me and their website continued to falsely state my order would be delivered on time. They then refused to provide any compensation and I am still waiting to receive a refund for the canceled order.

Never dealt with this company before and was a little apprehensive ordering prescription glasses on line but was pleasantly surprised how everything turned out. Communication initially was a little slow but after that received regular updates. It took a little longer than I expected to finally get my glasses but just use to using high street Opticians with a few days turnaround. Although for the money I saved it was well worth the wait. Ordered ski goggles 3 weeks ago. Never arrived took 3 days to receive a reply from someone. Now in a situation where I cant order from another online company as its too close to my trip. Asked for a full refund cant see them processing this quickly. Although they took the money off the card straight away. Dont use and stay well away from this company

I was skeptical of SmartBuyGlasses.com when I came across their site. I did some research, which included reading many of the reviews from this site, and decided to make a purchase. First the bad: The website runs slow. I accessed it on multiple computers and my phone and all had a delayed response. I selected a "fast shipping" item, but didn't receive any response for a few days. Now the good: The prices are great, the shipping was fast, the descriptions were accurate, and the prescription lens were perfect.

Smartbuyglasses was an excellent place to purchase my glass frames. They tracked the order from the moment I paid - keeping me up-to-date, and letting me know that I could leave a signature if I wanted the package left at my door. When the glasses arrived, they were perfect, in a beautiful box, with two "surprise" presents - a key ring glasses "fix kit" and a cleanser with an additional cleaning cloth. I'm darn impressed.

This company is poorly run. Frames that are listed 'in stock' are often not in stock at all. I requested to cancel my order with customer service as I could receive the same frames from another site sooner. They never followed up with my request. I have received one frame a month after my order was placed. Ridiculous for 'in stock' frames. I will never use them again. SmartBuyGlasses needs to be more honest about what is in stock, deliver on customer service, be more prompt, and READ their customer emails (assuming they read English).
