I probably was not careful and had a trial subscription or something, and apparently I was charged a lot every month. I learned about it only after I changed my credit card and stamps.com started to send me emails that they cannot charge the subscription, but what's unusual is that they still consider it me owning them money (normally they would not start subscription if it not pre-paid), and keep asking me to pay what "I own them". This is the first time seeing such weird interpretation of subscription service. This is very dangerous to deal with them, stay away!
I accidentally signed up for their service (I was just trying to buy stamps - their website is NOT user friendly). When I wrote them to ask for my money back, there was no response and they kept charging me. Never received a refund. Beware!
Great program. Easy to use. Saves time and effort. Without it, We would be spending a great amount of time traveling back and forth to the post office to buy stamps With Stamps.com, we're able to get our outbound mail into the postal system faster, and customize out appearance as well, improving our business and professionalism.
Beware. This company will rip you off. I canceled my account three months ago. Instead of crediting me for the balance left over in my account, they keep billing me their monthly fee. Avoid this company at all cost.
$19.99 monthly fee is not to receive stamps but it's a charge just to have a open account with them. Paying this monthly you do not receive any stamps. I thought I was buying $19.99 worth of stamps. Who would want to spend $19.99 a month for just a open account best to just go to the post office and spend only what you purchase. Unbelievable this is a rip off
Have tried getting in contact with them for pretty much a year to no avail. I have called multiple times to be told that they can't help and to try to call back another time. I have also been told multiple times that a supervisor would call me, but no luck. I have tried contacting through social media as well but they just direct you back to the toll free number. I did finally get a supervisor to call me but he called when I was driving and asked if he could call me back so that I had all of my notes in front of me. He set a time and never called. I have reached out multiple times since and still no luck. I even went as far a sending a letter to the CEO, but no luck there either.
The product is good overall, but have noticed a few issues and want to go over things with them to get corrected but can't seem to get anyone to reach out that knows what they are doing or care to assist.
Absolutely zero communication with Customer when trial period expires, and zero communication of monthly invoice and auto-billing. This vendor does not notify Customers so they can continue to charge payments without Customer knowledge.
My company ships a lot of media mail (music books). With the USPS, we have to take the packages to the local post office. They won't allow you to print media mail labels on their USPS website. However, with Stamps.com, we are able to print the labels and the postal carrier picks up the package and scans it on the spot. This saves us a lot of time and money constantly driving back and forth and standing in line! The other Stamps.com options are great. I recommended Stamps.com to everyone we know. We have added a photo below and blocked out the owner's address for privacy.
Great postal service; my only regret is not buying stock in the company when I first starting using them about five years ago. As a small business owner, Stamps.com cover 99 percent of my postal needs.
The software is awesome but it would help if there was an integration with outlook to keep updates in both systems in sync. However, the ability to auto email my clients about returns in route adds a personal touch which makes me look even more dedicated to servicing each client. The tracking software for the Priority mail service is nothing short of spectacular and has been used several times to calm down panicked clients.
Their system is very buggy... it will work for a few months on one computer, then suddenly stops working... they'll advise to change to a different browser, or state they no longer support Apple computers (thanks for that, we don't all have PCs here at our office); often their website is down. Half the time they want us to update the downloaded program, the other half the time they want us to log on and only use it online. Their monthly fees are way too high for small businesses, and their staff is hard to reach (to put it politely). If you can find another service, DO SO!
I have been using Stamps.com for many years now. It's a tremendous efficiency rather that stand in line at the post office every time I need to mail a package or buy stamps. The website takes a little bit of work to master. Over the years I have made a ton of errors which resulted in charges, however, Stamps.com is batting 1000% in processing my request for refunds. I think their form could be a little easier, like including a drop down menu with the label number already there, but on the whole, it works very well.
I am an attorney with a solo practice who was totally fed up with our local post office where I used to spend far too many hours waiting in line.Stamps.com allows me to produce professionally appearing stamped envelopes in seconds and to replenish my stock of postage just by the click of a computer button. Over the years I have had many conversations with stamps.com customer service people and have found them to be unfailingly knowledgeable and courteous. Stamps.com offers an ingenious, time-saving improvement to my work life. It is money well-spent!
Had computer crash, have changed e-mail over the years. Could not get any help as there was no account connected to current e-mail. Lost all contacts and postage i had purchased.
Finally just started over with new account. Will wait and see if i am charged monthly fee for
Both accounts.
Stamps.com has been a life saver for our non-profit organization. It was exhausting printing out address labels, return address labels, and adding stamps that required a group of volunteers to handle a sizeable mailing every month. It can now be done all in one shot directly on envelopes. The only drawback is the ability to print on post cards, not available on my MAC PC, that would be a welcome option.
This company was advertised as the one that helps with any shipment, being affiliated with usps.com in order to provide services that they don't like: shipment label printing. And it is not that I don't like information on what they do nd how great they do it. I'd like a simple search engine enabled, so I would find the same answers by simply using a search option. Not in their case. You can scroll the page up and down left and right, looking at the friendly smiling face of a dude, but it won't help. Need no magic, but constructive business? I guess not.
Software is great to use for my small business. I ship 20 packages a week. The only problem is they seem to double charge on some items like insurance. I was sent an email explaining the billing and it made absolutely no sense so I still don't understand the billing. It's a pay-as-you-go program but you're going to pay twice for insurance at least through USPS.
We switched to Stamps.com years ago when I realized I spent way to much time in line at the local post office mailing certified mail, packages, etc. for our business. As an Administrative Assistant, I don't have that kind of time. I asked my supervisor to let me try Stamps.com and we've been hooked ever since. No more standing in line for stamps, or to mail anything! This is the best office tool I have and I'm not giving it up!
The post office in our medium-sized city (population 157,000) is dinky and has a deadly parking lot. It's hard to even get into the aforementioned parking lot which can be only accessed if one is westbound on one street or north bound on the other. The lines are long and the employees are cranky. The monthly fee for Stamps.com is worth it to be able to avoid this disaster. There are also many great designs for stamps for different holidays, or you can even create your own. I especially love Stamps.com at Christmas time!
I can't say enough about how I appreciate this service. I send most everything flat rate and can purchase postage, print postage, and keep all my customers saved so I don't have to enter the information each time. I can read reports of when items were received and how much postage I used for the year for taxes. This saves me time waiting in line at the post office, especially around Christmas. Also, if I make a mistake printing the wrong label, I can get refunded if it shows I didn't use the label.
Answer: Yes. SendPro is less expensive per month but you can only print on a printer purchased from them. Stamps.com is usable on a variety of ink jet, laser and thermal printers
Answer: Impossible I call their Customer Service line went through their answering system then put on hold, hung up after waiting 20 min. Sent a comment to the site email, got a response saying they would get back to me in a day or so.
Answer: Stamps.com might as well be called SPAMS.com Good luck trying to cancel the account. Their website directs you to follow the steps noted below in order to cancel, but the "close this account" option SIMPLY does NOT exist! It is not there! You email them and do not get anywhere. You call their phone number and they put you on hold for over 45 minutes! In the meantime, they are charging you! "In Stamps.com Online: Open the My Account drop down menu and select Manage Account. In Stamps.com Windows PC Software: Select the Account Tab. Select the Change/Cancel Plan Tab. Click close this account.
Stamps.com has a rating of 3.5 stars from 311 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Stamps.com ranks 1st among Stamps sites.
Hi Mariya B., Thanks for your comment and I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience with Stamps.com. The Stamps.com service allows small business owners and e-commerce shippers the ability to print USPS postage online using your computer and a regular printer. If you are printing shipping labels, Stamps.com provides the tracking number within your account history as well as via a package tracking email that is sent to the recipient. We also have a tracking webpage that you can input any USPS package tracking number and see the whereabouts of your package. From reading your comment, it sounds like you were having issues with a specific package tracking number? Please contact our Support team at 1-888-434-0055 or email social@stamps.com and we would be glad to help. Thanks! Eric N. Stamps.com Support
