I had the worst experience buying a storage unit in Wildomar, CA. Pictures showed a storage unit pretty full with lots of antiques. I won the unit for $330. It was a private seller Synergy-Private Seller. We get there to pay and the lady Brigdette, Thomas's daughter was very rude. Her first words to me were "A: you owe me money". How rude! And then she goes to tell me that everything in the unit isn't in the auction, only what you see in the front! What a rip off! They are complete liars! I will never purchase from synergy ever again! We canceled and were able to get our money back since Storage Treasures said they weren't allowed to do that. Don't ever buy from Synergy! They will rip you off! They have a horrible reputation! Everyone else who bought from the same storage facility that was from synergy had the same problem! Do not waste your time! Pictures are the displayed auction pictures we bid on.

Timesaver
September 27, 2017

Timesaver: Over the years of experience as a general manager I spent many years doing auctions on site, it's been wonderful having you help us with our auctions and it saves lots of time. If we do have a customer go to auction it's nice to know they still can buy it right up to the day it sells if they get there and pay before the bidder WE the general manager will cancel the auction. Hopefully managers pay attention to the size of unit they list because YOU Storage treasures have no control over that and it is nice you help with back up bidders, I have had people be a high bidder and never show up in the time frame WE general managers put down to have it vacated which can be 48 to 72 hours or you can rent the unit. Thanks again for all your help.

September 25, 2020

I have used them twice and both time's the auction was canceled. First auction was canceled two hours before the end of the auction just to see it reposted 3 weeks later. I won the second auction was sent a invoice just to have it cancelled 30 minutes later as I was driving the 3 hours to get there. Not a honest site don't use them.

Bid on a 10x20 got a 5x5
February 26, 2017

Bid on a unit that was advertised as 10x20 and won. When I arrived I was taken to a 5x5 I said I won a 10x20 the storage manager said call storage treasures, called storage treasures they said call the storage manager. The storage manager said it was storage treasures fault I then called storage treasures they said it was the storage manager fault. No one would help me so I called my bank and told them the credit charge was fraud and walked away from the unit. The advantage of using credit cards, the customer is always right.

Facility 0787 CUBESMART KATY, TX 77494
March 9, 2023

The must outrageous thing I have seem, in my 5 years on storage treasure, I drove a hour and half for a storage I won for about 544.00 total. When the storage was open most of the stuff was gone. Meaning someone at the facility had stealing out the storage that was on auction. Yes I was refunding my money, but what about my time and gas. My joy of treasure hunting was crush. Stealing is a crime and someone stealing at work, since I won it and paid for it, you steal from me. STORAGE TREASURES THIS NEED TO BE FIX. If a facility post a storage everything they post should be in that storage. The middle space was gone, everything under the blue turf was GONE... THIS WAS HORRIBLE.

Today I supposedly won a unit that had a possible authentic Louis Vuitton bag and clutch in it. The unit was at $100 and stayed there until the last couple minutes of the bidding. After it jumped over $200 I needed up winning. Storage treasures charged me over $40 to collect, and I had to pay $337 at the facility. After paying al their fees, and driving over an hour plus tolls and gas, we open the unit to find that the one Louis Vuitton bag had been taken. Nothing else was taken just the Louis Vuitton bag. And the way I knew this is I used their pictures as reference to my own. After bringing this to both public storage, and storage treasures attention, they both refunded the fees. But refused to compensate me for my time, gas, or tolls. Public storage told me to contact storage treasures and how it was " out of their hands" after sitting on hold for almost an hour, I finally got I contact with "Shannon" who happened to be very rude and sarcastic. (She ended up handing up on me when I called her out on it) but before the hang up, she told me "that's a problem you have to take up with public storage" "you didn't do business with us" unbelievable! This company is a scam. I've felt with this time after time. This is my last straw. I plan on suing both companies. They both knew what happened and did nothing to correct the situation. I took the liberty to show you photos I bid on (with the Louis Vuitton bag in the unit) then the last photo is when I opened the unit with an employee standing next to me.

People are making fake accounts to bid up the units in order to buy it as a back up bidder. I'm one of your biggest buyers and I do not want to start doing this also.

I was looking at auction id#*******

The first and second pictures you see a piece of cardboard up against the back wall, a picture frame up against the right side wall with 3 shoe boxes next to it (Nike, Air Jordan and one I can't make out) floor is pretty much clean.

Pictures 3,4, and 5 show the cardboard that wad up against the back wall is now in center of unit, the floor there is stuff everywhere, the picture frame on the right side of wall is untouched, but the 3 pairs of shoes are GONE@!@! WHAT'S GOING ON? THE AUCTION IS STILL LIVE, HOW DOES THIS STUFF MOVE? What a shady thing to do... wonder how many other units they do this to...

Hello All,

I contacted storage treasures because an auction I bid on appeared to have been gone through and photos were taken of a guitar then placed back in the case and another photo taken. Actually, it was obvious.
I called customer service at storage treasures, they acknowledged it was an issue, BUT to my surprise they claimed it was not violating any law or their policy.
It is well established that the storage facility would have to take ownership before entering, let alone touch or go through belongings. I feel bad for those who rights are trampled, personal effects gone thru! Not good.
Storage Treasures, Shame On You!
They should not allow those activities on their site soley for the purpose of profiting! Or for any reason...
Furthermore, many storage facilities do not want to retain personal belongings for auction. Units, such as photos or tax docs; that is illegal. Apparently, Storage Treasures does not require a facility follow storage laws and to retain those docs. Bad Business...

This company will do absolutely nothing to protect you. They allow private sellers to use their website to stage auctions and will not verify or guard bidders from fraudulent items. Buyers be warned
