When we got there we were asked how many then they tried placing us up front there were a few people large in size and wouldn't fell comfortable sitting were they tried placing us so we asked to be seated in the back because we've been there so many times we knew bigger booths were in the back. As we sat there we waited a bit for someone to take our drink orders. After those were taken we sat for a bit becfore our drinks came. Then we ordered appetizers. Just seemed like we were over looked others around us seem to get their food faster. Once our food came it wasn't hot it was warm we ate it. Then the people came to celebrate with us it was our grand daughters 3third birthday! I looked over to put stuff on the side of me where I saw cockroaches crawling next to me on the wall...I was shocked my husband said I saw 3 cockroaches but I kept quiet because I knew you would have caused a scene. I spent almost $200.00 in there and to be honest I will not go back in there. I wasn't going to say anything but this has really been bothering me. I am sure they know they have a problem with bugs in their place of business if not this is your clue. I wasn't going to say anything because you made my grand daughters night on her birthday but gosh bugs are a no no when you're an eating establishment.
Focus on August 17,2021 meal. Arrived at 6:15, party of five. When our server came to our table to take our drink order, she had no clue about beverages, from ice tea to beer. While we waited on our drinks, she took our order. Which was another fiasco. We all ordered our steaks and told our server our steak cooking preference it was one again evident she was clueless about the menu and the difference regarding how steaks should be cooked. Three of our party ordered medium rare steaks, one was ordered medium and I ordered filet to be cooked well done. When the meal arrived, the porterhouse steak that was ordered medium rare was very well done. My filet, ordered well done, had barely been heated on the grill. The porterhouse cooked well done instead of medium rate, was returned for a new steak to be cooked medium rare. I sent my steak back to be made right, to be put back on grill to be cooked to well done. The porterhouse that was sent back for a new one came cooked a proper medium rare. My filet I returned to be cooked to well done came back to me burnt to a crisp on the outside and still rare when I cut into it. I talked to manager and he couldn't understand why I was upset about how my steak had been returned to me. At this point we paid our bill and left. This made the third of the last five meals we have eaten there that have been horrible. Don't know if we will ever go back to the Tuscaloosa Texas Roadhouse!
Firstly, as humans we need more compassion. It's my husband's first birthday without his best friend, his mom. We were given a gift card for Texas Roadhouse. We don't usually eat a ton of red meat but this was a special occasion. Service was fine. Our server was attentive as she could be with a needy table across from us. As a former server, I look at what's going on around me. I should mention that I informed the host that it was my husband's birthday. We ate and asked for boxes and a bag. This is where things went sideways. The gift card that we had was cardboard and had been washed by mistake. I had already spoke with customer service and was informed it's a valid card and that all I had to do was give it to the manager and they'll take care of it. Mind you, I used to serve for almost 3 decades. I have had to do this countless times. A manager came to me and repeatedly said that he couldn't scan the barcode. I figured as much BUT the number was still readable. The problem is that the pin number was gone; it got washed away. This manager just stood looking at me and I said, " you could do better. " I don't think that was so aggressive that he would inform the owner. The owner, Jay Burman, came to the table as I was on the phone with customer service and I let him know that. I don't believe that he liked that. It was one of those situations that you only remember moments but when this person decided to make a spectacle of the situation, I lost it. To be a guest, you don't expect a owner to get in your face and berate you and say "that you don't talk to my employees like that!" People were staring and it got to the point that he was insinuating that we were trying to " pull a fast one". I didn't do my worst in the situation, but I think that my comment about doing better didn't give this Jay guy the right to embarrass me. My husband jumped into the conversation and we got it handled in the end. What is the worst part is, they knew it was his birthday and didn't take that into consideration when they reacted the way they did! They ruined our experience. Made a bad memory. They should do better!
I have been employed at the roadhouse for almost 3 years I have complied with everything they have asked me to do I have asthma and bronchitis so for the past year have been forced to wear a face mask. Now the governor has a lifted The Mask mandate and I'm still continued to be forced to wear a face mask but customers can come through the door unvaccinated we are not allowed to ask nor do we care we welcome everyone, but I with asthma and bronchitis and my breathing has gone down 30% in the last year and still being forced to wear a face mask because I have not been vaccinated and I will not take an experimental shot that they do not know what is going to happen to anyone. I love my job but in light of all of this I have put in my two week notice I am not going to be forced to wear a face mask and continue not being able to breathe when right on the box it says this mask will not stop covid-19 so can someone please tell me why I continue to be forced to wear a mask?! Very sad and I'm going to miss my job but I'm not going to have my rights taken from me by anyone!
Place is terrible. Food was overcooked, came out cold no flavor and the manager was a flat out horrible person. Won't be back.
The 20 pm Fort Worth steak was sadly lacking. Over half of it was fat. The shrimp was so salty could not hardly eat it very disappointing.
I would NEVER go back to Texas Roadhouse. I placed a big order on Saturday, 06/04/2022 and because I sent my son to pick it up, I was on the phone with him when he picked up the food. I heard him ask if everything was in the order and he was told yes it was. Well that was not the case, I ordered Grilled Shrimp (which included 2 dinner rolls) but we're not included, Beef Tips (which included Gravy and 2 dinner rolls) but not included and a Full Slab of Ribs ( which included 2 dinner rolls) but not included. I called the restaurant back immediately to inform them and spoke with Diane who told me that the restaurant was busy and that the manager would be reaching out with 48 hours. She also informed me that I was not the only customer to call that night complaining about missing dinner rolls. Well the management team did not reach out to me within 48 hours so I had to reach out to them. When I called I spoke with a manager named Gloria and she sounded a little surprised that I was calling about my missing dinner rolls and Gravy from my meal. I also informed her that I called back on Saturday, the same day as I placed and received the order and spoke with Diane who told me that I was not the only customer who had called to complain about missing dinner rolls that night. She told me that I should have checked my order before leaving the restaurant. I informed her that my son picked up the order and was told that everything was in the order. She then informed me that she was just opening up the restaurant that she would have to look into this, as if I'm lying. She also told me to check my email in 72 hours but did not inform me of what to expect. I know this is about dinner rolls and missing Gravy from my Beef Tips that were tender but dry with no gravy. I will certainly tell anyone that asks if they should visit Texas Roadhouse what to expect for service and mistakes from the staff. My my missing dinner rolls and missing Gravy may not be a priority to the management team here but I can assure you that I will spend my $99.04 at a more accommodating establishment in the future, this restaurant has lost my business for the rest of my life. I also did not get the cutlery that I asked for as well.
Had to send drink back twice because something was in it and once our food came out hair was in it. T
First they say they no more ribs after I placed my order 4 hours ago and now they are taking over an hour to bring my food.
Where do I start, first the wait at the table was long, the lost our ticket, ribs were bad, service bad
At about 6:10 P.M. on September 16,2021, I placed an online order for pickup at the Marietta, GA Texas Roadhouse. I waited about 15 minutes before I left to pick it up. Once there, I followed their instructions to announce that I had arrived. I received a text message that my order is not ready yet. About 20 minuted later, I still had not received it so I gave it another 15 minutes.
After waiting more than 30 minutes, I went inside the restaurant to inquire. An assistant manager stated that it was coming up next. I watched as several orders were delivered to other customers. After waiting for more than an hour, I told the assistant manager to cancel my order and I left. He apologized and said that my credit card charge would be canceled.
After getting home without food, I called the general manager of the restaurant to make sure that my credit card charge was canceled and, yes, to express my displeasure with what happened which I did as courteously as possible. In general, this "manager" was defensive and seemingly oblivious when I told him what happened. He said something about their practice of "staggering" orders when they were busy which made absolutely no sense.
He said that they would issue a credit to my card which he did not do and he gave me what I interpreted as a verbal middle finger with a somewhat sarcastic "Have a nice day." and hung up. Afterwards, believe it or not, at 7:30 P.M. I received a text message which stated "Your order is ready."
I and my family and friends have dined at this restaurant on several occasions in the past. But that, my friends, was my last visit to this customer unfriendly business.
Nathaniel was the best server I have ever had. The food was delicious the wait time was fast All the servers wore mask awesome experience
Just too long of a wait and the mandate for social distancing was abated and still more than an hour to wait to be seated
This is the worst meal we have had at Texas Roadhouse in Sandy, Utah. It has always been my husband's favorite steak restaurant in the area. Well, no longer. Where do we begin. I tried to order on line, instead of calling, and it failed miserably. The options were fine, bringing it to was miserable. It wouldn't accept a Senior Discount, though they say they offer one. We called to ask and we were on hold for 30 minutes. The front desk didn't know it and was waiting for a manager, who never showed. So, now 45 minutes into this process, we gave up and ordered. Upon arrival, we had to go to a new PICK UP WINDOW, which seemed like a positive. I asked about the senior discount and being on hold for so long. The person at the window disappeared to find the manager, that I didn't ask for. Well, she didn't return in a timely fashion (5 minutes) so I took my bag, with our meal in it and left… We are only 5 minutes away, but now, it is cold.
Oh, Now, it only gets worse. I ordered side shrimp. It was tasteless, flattened, cold. I've always enjoyed their shrimp. It was the worst shrimp in my entire life…. And that is saying something. The salad was ok, but th bacon bits I ordered and paid for were not present. The accompanying side roll, was tiny, cold and tasteless
My husband ordered a 16 ounce Fort Worth Ribeye. He says he will never so it again. It didn't appear to be 16oz…it was very thin and tough, lacking flavor. He says he will NEVER order one again. The baked potato was awesome.
So, don't know what is going on with them. But, we cannot afford to throw our money away. We are extremely, extremely disappointed. My husband says he will never go back. Sad…
Our steaks were over cooked. Both of us ordered medium rare and we both got medium to almost well done.
Was there today and a cockroach was in the napkin needless to say I got up and left and will be calling the health department Monday morning
This place always has flying bugs, wish that they would correct this problem, The food is good, the service is usually above average
Answer: Longhorn steakhouse - WAY better - the food is better, the menu choices better. People are great
