I noticed a charge on my credit card. Just like many others on here, I do not remember seeing this at check out. I used a different coupon code than they did. I am pretty upset, because I am good with these things (always mark calendar, test the waters more than one order before committing, etc.).
Customer service said they would refund me... let's see.
I simply would stay away from Thrive for this reason. You can find plenty of other delivery services where you know what you are getting yourself into. This is sneaky and unethical. Complete lack of transparency and I do not want to have a subscription with a company that lacks those values.

Just like all the other bad reviews... noticed a 59.95 charge on my credit card statement which apparently has been going on for 3 years. Mad at myself for not seeing it but still disappointed in this company. Buy 1 thing and it automatically signs you up for membership. I'll make sure to tell everyone I know to stay away from this company.

I've been using Thrive for several months to keep my pantry stocked. I love their selection of healthier items (especially oat milk!) and find their prices to be very competitive with my local grocers. Recently an order I placed became damaged during shipping and once I notified Thrive via online chat, they shipped me a replacement right away. Thrive offers an awesome service that is so convenient, I simply can't live without it now.

I've ordered from Thrive for the last few years, and have always appreciated the ease of ordering from them, the varied selection they carry, how quickly my orders arrive, how well packaged they are, prices, and that the modest membership fee helps others eat well who may not be able to afford the higher prices of organic foods. I love having the option to donate to this fund with each order, as well. Hey and even during the pandemic chaos and being hit with what must have been a massive demand for goods, they did such a great job at communicating and getting back on their fast track as quickly as possible. I give them room for error, but rarely find any! A couple of times something has unfortunately leaked during transport and they have always taken care by replacing the item and refunding. Thrive took many extra steps to insure that my order arrived safe! All glass items were individually wrapped, even the bags of chips were packed in paper to keep them from getting crushed. Very pleased!

Have been shopping Thrive for several years now and have NEVER been disappointed- if mistakes are made on either end they are easily and competently handled. Hey, nobodies perfect and the negative reviews I see are disturbing.
Even in this strange new world of pandemic they have been wonderful. I received my last package looking like someone had played football with it, re-taped it and when I opened I discovered an item missing. Customer service not only apologized profusely for something that was not their fault, but also gave me way more than enough Thrive cash to cover it

That's unfortunate since the conditions for the 30 day trial were clearly stated. I'm happy to pay the yearly membership fee because the savings on many items is so high, and that fee goes towards helping those who need it. I've been using Thrive regularly for 2 years now and their customer service has been great. If something's missing or broken, they immediately refund, no hassle.
Is the lack of reading comprehension these people have. It states pretty explicitly in multiple places on the website what happens when you place your first order... you opt into the trial period and you have 30 days to cancel before an annual membership fee is charged. I don't understand how people are saying they have been misled unless they didn't take ten minutes to read what they were signing up for. I guess this is common nowadays.
Anyway, I love Thrive. We get great value on certain products. Not everything is going to be cheaper than Amazon or Costco, but if you take your time and compare prices, you can get great value. It's a shame so many negative reviews are posted because people can't read (or can't be bothered to check their credit card statements so they end up getting charged MULTIPLE YEARS before they figure it out... really?).
I live this site. I love the market. They're fabulous at posting ingredients and allergy info for their products. And should they be out of something they'll alert you once it comes back into stock. 5 stars
