I had an outdated resume and several documents that would need to be pieces together to complete a new resume. I was worried that it would be difficult for my writer to create a cohesive whole, but Allen did a phenomenal job. Drafts were sent quickly, he was so communicative and helpful, and we completed the process by draft 2 and ahead of schedule. I highly recommend this service.
Received the services I purchased in the correct timeline. However, the format was not compatible for Apple devices despite my requesting that a universal format be utilized. Most significantly, I've had very negative feedback from recruiters and hiring managers with the content of my new resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn page. Even people I've worked with say they don't adequately communicate my skills and experience. The company offers no way to request a partial or full refund or contact them in any way. I posted this review on other review sites as well. The company contacted me to correct the issues by assigning a different person to rewrite the documents. Having no trust in the value of wasting additional time and effort working with someone else utilizing the same methods as the first representative, I requested a refund. The company refused to refund my money. So, I've wasted time, money, and still have useless documents. Please don't utilize this organization.
The writer, Jane H did not maintain contact with me, was very slow to provide the first draft, did not make all of the revisions discussed on the call that I was charged extra for, and provided the incomplete "final" draft at 11:50pm on the final day of the revision period. This is unprofessional work that was haphazardly done at the last moment, without the promised revisions. I even specifically pointed out that she used a font that was not present on my computer, so Word couldn't display some characters. She told me that she would change the font, but did not.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use TopResume. Find a local resume writer to work with.

My resume had a lot of mistakes acoording to my initial review. Then the TopResume group change it all the way!

I hadn't updated my resume in over ten years, and it was definitely time for a refresher. I was impressed with the professionalism, the personal touch, the ease of communication and the efficient completion of my resume. It was completed even BEFORE the deadline. I would use their services again, and I would definitely recommend that you check them out if you are considering using a service like this.

When will I learn to read reviews before purchasing? I did it spur of the moment. It is very obvious that the person who wrote my new CV doesn't have native English and isn't a writer. Full of grammaticals, typos, very old fashioned font and a lot of it doesn't make sense and wasn't provided in the info I gave them. Save your money. The positive reviews on here are either crazy or bots or paid for. Thank god I only ordered the bare minimum of the CV and not the cover letter and LinkedIn profile they were pushing for.

Traci who I worked with communicated constantly, and feedback were quickly incorporated, and drafts were sent out to me for review. This companies' fees are extremely high to receive cookie cutter results.
They ask questions based on your experience, achievements, career goals, and expectations for soliciting their business then the "writer" proceeds to utilize your exact responses onto a pre-formatted resume. The guarantee that your resume is a success is a joke, the re-write produce the exact same resume (in another pre-formatted version). The second resume not producing any results, guarantees you've just wasted your time and money with these seemingly computerized results. DON'T BOTHER; find a less expensive alternative or just GOOGLE resumes for your target job and duplicate it; seems TOP RESUME got paid for doing exactly this! $400 out of my pocket for a resume that is floating around on the internet!
Tip for consumers:
Google resumes for your target job FIRST before soliciting a resume writer!!! Don't bother with TOP RESUME!

They didnt even start writing my resume for three weeks. Then after I finally got the first draft they said it would be 1-2 days to get the second but that took another 2 weeks. It doesnt matter if the resume is good or not if you never get it.

unless you want to wait over a month for your resume go somewhere else

I was skeptical when first contact by TopResume upon uploading my resume to HIgher Ed Jobs.com
It felt very "spammy" to be contacted in that way and prompted to pay for a service I didn't ask for.
I decided to risk it based on the free feedback I received.
I was so wrong and pleasantly surprised throughout the process.
My resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile are all a MUCH better product and it was great to have keen and fresh eyes on my documents.
Very personal and prompt/professional service throughout.
I HIGHLY recommend using this service.

After months of struggling with attempts to update my resume and re-direct the focus, I decided to send my resume to TopResume for a free critique. The feedback was spot-on and I immediately felt I could trust them with a re-write of my resume. Their writer assigned to my resume asked very detailed questions, was very quick to respond, and I believe captured the focus I wanted and really enhanced my work history to present the picture I wanted. Although I came into this process as a sceptic, my experience not only met my expectations but exceeded them. I worked in partnership with TopResume from conception through to fruition. Throughout this process, I was continually kept in the loop. The writer I was assigned to had great insight and through her hard work, my resume and cover letter made a statement that represented me. After my resume was complete I went back to prior positions that I had applied for earlier (with no callbacks) to getting an interview with that same company two days later. My resume writer didn't even send me a proper cover letter or resume. She told me its my fault for not providing her enough info to her she sent her final drafts to me. Which i cannot open to edit myself. I sent out the format of the cover letter and resume that i recieved. Still no job interviews.

I wouldn't even recommend anyone doing any type of business with your company. I practically adjusted everything myself on the resume. Doesn't make any sense to pay $300 and I have to fix your errors. What's the purpose of your service? Oh wait, it's to make a resume! Well, did I really have someone make me one or was my resume generated by a software? Either way, it should've been revised which it wasn't. Feel like I got scammed out of my pocket. Good luck ripping others off!

I wasn't sure if I should pay for service to upscale my resume but I am truly satisfied with the experience. The individual helping me out was very responsive with my questions and suggestions but overall my doubts or insecurity. My resume and cover letter do indeed look very presentable nothing compared to what I have submitted and the wordings, spectacular. I look forward to the upcoming opportunities.

I have been a medical device sales rep & manager for over 10 years and have had more or less the same Resume for years. I needed a fresh look and far better wording to express my accomplishments and achievements, and went with the Executive Priority service. Not only was the project interactive, but I could never imagined how well my Resume would turn out. Also, I was able to freshen up my LinkedIn profile to match my Resume and have a streamlined "brand" for myself. It's pretty funny. You send them money and they demand that YOU complete the project on THEIR timeline. If you don't, they drop you and move on. They quit on YOU.
What a laugh. They have the money. What does it matter if I send my final submission a week or a year later? They have the money. It's not a big deal. Instead you will get an email stating that they are closing the file on you. Thanks for your $350 goodbye.

I paid to use their resume service and paid extra for expedited service. After the expedited time period had passed, I still had not heard from anyone at Top Resume. I had to reach out to figure out what was going on and finally, it was assigned to someone AFTER the agreed upon expedited time period that I was supposed to receive my resume. I have requested a refund on the fee I paid to have the resume expedited 3 times now and have gone mostly ignored. The only contact I have had regarding the refund was one email where they tried to give me another service for free that I have no use for. Since I turned down that offer, it has been radio silence. Oh and I ordered everything sept 24th and still have not received a completed resume.
The customer service here is terrible and I could not recommend this service to anyone for the price they are charging.

I submitted my resume for a first free review through Glassdoor and the feedback I received was somewhat helpful, but it was very vague and unclear. I replied with clarifying questions to the expert who reviewed my resume and they were completely unhelpful. All they did was send me links to TopResumes documentation on sample resumes. This already demonstrates that they are not willing to help clarify their initial feedback for you unless you pay for their service. Why should I pay if you cant even prove you'll improve my resume with one example? I asked how they would rephrase a bullet point from my resume showing me as an achiever as opposed to a doer. The expert said they were unable to provide a detailed rundown on how to improve my resume. Well, you clearly could've done a better job providing a detailed rundown in the first feedback instead of some vague nonsense that doesnt even let me know specifically where I can improve. Glad I didnt pay a penny for their useless service.
