I had an outdated resume and several documents that would need to be pieces together to complete a new resume. I was worried that it would be difficult for my writer to create a cohesive whole, but Allen did a phenomenal job. Drafts were sent quickly, he was so communicative and helpful, and we completed the process by draft 2 and ahead of schedule. I highly recommend this service.
Received the services I purchased in the correct timeline. However, the format was not compatible for Apple devices despite my requesting that a universal format be utilized. Most significantly, I've had very negative feedback from recruiters and hiring managers with the content of my new resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn page. Even people I've worked with say they don't adequately communicate my skills and experience. The company offers no way to request a partial or full refund or contact them in any way. I posted this review on other review sites as well. The company contacted me to correct the issues by assigning a different person to rewrite the documents. Having no trust in the value of wasting additional time and effort working with someone else utilizing the same methods as the first representative, I requested a refund. The company refused to refund my money. So, I've wasted time, money, and still have useless documents. Please don't utilize this organization.
I was pleased with my final copy although it didn't blow me out of the water. I would not recommend the service to someone else simply because I felt like it was very expensive for what I received.

It was by chance that I came across the TOP Resume site and I initially submitted my resume for their assessment thinking that I would not score a mention. However to my complete surprise TOP Resume responded with a very thorough assessment of my resume pointing out clearly the areas of concern. At that point I decided to have TOP Resume do up my resume and the result is worth the money I spent. I have not yet scored a job, however I am convinced that it won't be long till I do.

They sent me my resume I Sent them in different color, they try to show u they are professional they are not I'll provide every kind of evidence u would as me for, and when I asked them to cancel they sent an email we have sent ur package and we are done no refund

A Perfect Scam organized by Katie Waren and few kids. I paid them a full package and I receive NOTHING. I informed Internet Fraud Bureau FBI and other Internet Fraud Bureaus across Europe. All good reviews are paid with 20 $ ticket on Amazon. I suppose Amazon they don't know yet about the scam... Stay away from Katie Waren and TopResume

The only thing that I received from this service that was remotely well written was the 'free critique' that I received from 'Katie.' Everything else that I have received was written by someone with a command of the language of a clearly non-native speaker. The 'design' that they provided to help reformat the resume to best reflect my career field looked like a template pull off of Word circa 1998. This site is out to scam and buyer beware. All the glowing reviews that they have on sites such as these are suspiciously all written in the same voice/style. All are vague and succinct. If you read the poor reviews, you will see that they were all written by different individuals in their own voice. The good reviews are all boilerplate. There is no doubt they are somehow planting or purchasing these lauds. They have an explicit no refund policy, so whatever you do, don't give them your money. I've started the credit dispute process with my bank and will also be contacting the referring site (GlassDoor) to file my complaint.

I utilized the package that included the LinkedIn service. I was very impressed and happy with my new Resume, Cover Letter, and LinkedIn documents. I had not updated my professional Resume in 8 years and I am seeking to re-enter the research job market after a 3-year absence. The overhaul of my current Resume was exactly what I needed and the results are amazing. Ive applied to more than 4 job positions with my new Resume and have gotten wonderful feedback from field peers (Director level) and potential hiring managers that my Resume is very professional. I also had just registered with LinkedIn and didn't know how to properly represent my current position, being that I provide home schooling and am a home manager. I was able to get the proper answers with TopResume. The turn-around time was under the promised time frame and my technical writer was very prompt, courteous, and attentive to my questions and provided clear answers and assistance. I highly recommend TopResume to anyone who wants to transform his or her current Resume into one that is truly polished, professional, and impressive to headhunters and recruiters!

I was looking to update my resume and found the free resume review with Top Resume. I've been in the workforce for over 20 years and was targeting a senior level position and wanted to upgrade my resume. The review feedback said my resume scored poorly with the automatic scan many companies are using that would limit it getting to an actual person to review. I paid for the service and my first draft seemed like the person was forcing in big words that didn't make sense in the context of the sentence. I requested a new resume writer be assigned and they did. The 2nd person was a little better and completed the resume. To test the results, I changed my name, email, and company names and resubmitted for the free evaluation. Their resume scored as low as my original and the review was very critical. Attached are the reviews from both versions that didn't rate high in their system. Regardless of the final results, I signed up for the service based on their assessment, which seems to be the same negative points regardless of who wrote it. Also, you are supposed to be paired with someone who knows your industry. Some of the corrections I had to make clearly showed they didn't know my industry and/or just weren't good at writing resumes. For these reasons I rate this low and advise people to stay away.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t use the service. The free resume review is a scam to get you to buy. My original resume and the one I paid for both rated low in their review.

After receiving a review of my resume I was convinced that this company knew what they were doing. I purchased the resume and cover letter package and was referred to another person. The draft I got of my resume was ok but left out my skill sets and key bullets. The cover letter was awful. It looked and sounded like some kid in middle school wrote it. I sent back my revisions and was told I would have another draft Wednesday. Thursday came and i still didn't have anything so I sent an email to my person and she never wrote back. Today I wrote to the customer service stating I want my Money back seeming how I never even received my final resume or cover letter. Still no reply. This company is a scam and is awful. I posted this same review on another website and the company responded to the post within 30 seconds saying they would help me and I'm sure they will write the same response to this. I contacted the email you gave me and still no reply. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. It amazes me you would treat a veteran like this.

I got an offer for a free resume evaluation from one of the job search websites (Indeed?) and thought I'd give it a try. I received the evaluation from TopResume the next day. I thought the evaluation was bang-on! My resume was crowded and not visually pleasing. Admittedly I had used the same format for more than a decade, simply just adding items to it. But TopResume also evaluated it for how it would be processed by the candidate scanning/screening software used by many employers. Based on the evaluation and the reasonable price of the re-write I decided to go ahead. The writer did a great job. The end product was shorter, cleaner, and more effective. She taught me the resume has to be written for the screening software, the HR person reviewing it, and the hiring manager. I feel the language was a little "flowery", but she explained that using different adjectives helps get the resume to the next step in the process. It's true, I have gotten more hits and views with my new resume. Only complaint is I didn't know there was a 7 day time limit (maybe I didn't read the fine print). But TopResume extended the time limit by a few days and the 3rd revision was great.

While looking for a new job I had the need to get my resume reviewed and revised and was looking for some company who great reputation. I ran into TopResume's ad on Glassdoor to provide a free resume review. I am glad I took that chance and I was impressed by their observations and suggestions to improve the odds of my resume getting noticed my the recruiters and hiring managers. I decided to get their paid service to get my resume rewritten along with cover letter and thank you letter. I also opted for their linkedIn profile update and job posting. In each these things they did an excellent job. The person Karuna, I worked with was very professional and responsive. I loved working with her. I immediately started seeing the difference as soon as they posted my resume online to job sites. My phone started ringing incessantly with recruiter calls and within matter of weeks I landed with multiple job offers.
It was a pleasure working with TopResume and I will definitely recommend it. I will choose them again in future if I ever had to avail similar services.

I hope my review serves as a cautionary tale for someone.
I submitted my information to TopResume and even submitted my current resume. I gave them plenty of information to compile a professional resume. When I received my first draft back, it was littered with grammatical and spelling errors. Sentences were in different verb tenses and basic words were misspelled. The resume was wordy and job descriptions were spliced together. I can understand if a job description is slightly off, as the writer does not work in that organization. However, to pay money for a professional writing service and have multiple grammatical and spelling errors is completely unacceptable.
I took the initial draft I received and highlighted all of the errors in it (probably totalled around 15) and submitted it to TopResume. I asked for a 50% refund. I did not ask for a 100% refund because I understood that the writer did spend time working on this, even if it was a horrible draft. TopResume did not work with me to give me a refund of any sorts.
I was shocked at how poorly this resume looked! If I were to submit their resume to a future employer, it would ensure me unemployment.
