I had an outdated resume and several documents that would need to be pieces together to complete a new resume. I was worried that it would be difficult for my writer to create a cohesive whole, but Allen did a phenomenal job. Drafts were sent quickly, he was so communicative and helpful, and we completed the process by draft 2 and ahead of schedule. I highly recommend this service.
Received the services I purchased in the correct timeline. However, the format was not compatible for Apple devices despite my requesting that a universal format be utilized. Most significantly, I've had very negative feedback from recruiters and hiring managers with the content of my new resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn page. Even people I've worked with say they don't adequately communicate my skills and experience. The company offers no way to request a partial or full refund or contact them in any way. I posted this review on other review sites as well. The company contacted me to correct the issues by assigning a different person to rewrite the documents. Having no trust in the value of wasting additional time and effort working with someone else utilizing the same methods as the first representative, I requested a refund. The company refused to refund my money. So, I've wasted time, money, and still have useless documents. Please don't utilize this organization.

I had a terrible experience with TopResume. I would not recommend this service for the money spent. The first draft had typos and awkward language. The second writer assigned was a senior writer who basically copied and pasted my old resume. Eventually I had to edit and rewrite the resume until we got to the end of the revision period. None of my questions were answered through the process. The end product was disappointing.
I recently had to rewrite it because their fancy formatting appears misaligned in Office 365. I found this out after sending it to numerous friends and job openings:(
I had high hopes and in the end it was a waste of my time and money. The LinkedIn profile was a copy of my resume.
I wish I had gone to the LinkedIn writer recommended, my friend's profile is awesome and I'm using that to update my profile. Ask around for free services out there. I recently found out a church in my neighborhood has free consultations once a week.
It was such a bad experience didn't even want to give it one star. I feel ripped off and upset I had to spend so much time, money and effort to get a resume in the end very similar to the one I had written before.

All of our writers are required to use Microsoft Office 2010 or later. The formatting of the last draft should not have changed after it is delivered to you. The LinkedIn Profile although similar to your resume, it should not have been the exact copy. Please feel free to send us an e-mail so we can take a look at the resume formatting issue.
So, I submitted my professionally written resume for the free review. Honestly, I was shocked at the review they provided... supposedly the ATS they use produced my ATS generated paragraph with words not found on my resume anywhere indicating my 20+ years of experience was concentrated in two areas for which I have no experience and it also indicated I have little to no management experience even though my resume clearly had several positions and years worth of management experience.
When I questioned it, I wasn't really expecting an answer - but, the writer informed me that "... it is likely the formatting of my resume is incorrect." If that statement is true, that the mere "formatting" of my resume made the ATS they use produce results so blatantly wrong then I have zero confidence that any possible "formatting" change would produce any positive results using the ATS they use (assuming they actually used an ATS).
In my opinion, this stinks like fraud designed to take advantage of people who are desperate to find a job. Buyer beware.

We use the same ATS as many other corporations, and it all comes down to how the machine parses your resume. I'm sorry if you think we are using a fake ATS, you could ask a friend to try to upload their resume to see if our ATS are able to parse the new resume's information. I would also suggest trying to parse your resume with another ATS and see if they produce the same result as our ATS. It is always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to making sure your resume is being properly sent to recruiters.

I requested to have a resume updated from one previously done by this company back in 2017. The cost for an update is the same a requesting a new resume. I did, however get a promo code for a discount from someone in CS. They send you a questionnaire where you can detail the specifics you want to see on the final product.
First: the writer did not apply any of the updated information I had provided in the questionnaire. I had to request them a second time when she sent the first draft for review.
So basically she had just re-hashed the old resume with the same information.
Second: there were several typos and grammatical errors.
Ex: "message" iso "massage" - this error was made several times throughout the text.
Also the qualification summary at the top of the resume showed " service to patient of all ages"
Because I needed the resume in a hurry I made the corrections and modifications myself. The previous resume I got in 2017 was of much superior quality that this one. I‘m not sure if I‘ll use this service again.

I saw an advertisement on LinkedIn for a Resume Writing Service. On May 23,2022, I purchased one of the services to have my resume written, $219 was paid by Affirm. I did receive a couple of emails to complete a questionnaire, but did not answer or submit the questions to TopResume. I have not discussed my resume or anything regarding my resume or career to any TopResume employee. There has been no interaction or transaction between myself or TopResume regarding the rewrite of my resume, in fact, I do not recall sending them my resume. On 6/21/22, I spoke to Cassandra and told her I would like to cancel the service and would like a refund. She said would submit for the refund and I should get it in a couple of days. I received a follow-up email from Cassandra immediately following the phone call and said my request will be submitted for a refund. I received notice today, 6/27/22, after reviewing my information they will not be issuing me a refund, that my payment is non-refundable. I was never told, nor did I see anywhere on the website that my payment was final a sale, non-refundable. I want my money back, I received nothing and they have stolen my money.

RUN - FIND ANOTHER SERVICE THAT IS REPUTABLE.

I purchased the "Executive Package" including a new cover letter, resume and LinkedIn profile. Initially, I was assigned a writer who did not respond, so TopResume assigned me a new writer (who could barely speak English) and created a highly juvenile resume with a lot of spelling and grammatical errors. I called TopResume and was assured that I would be assigned a new writer immediately. My new writer created a resume and cover letter that were inadequate. I asked for several changes that were not reflected. I inquired of the status of my LinkedIn profile since I paid for it but it was never sent. Several weeks later the new writer sent me the resume she had created, pasted into LinkedIn formatting. I'm still a bit confused as to why I paid over $300 for a subpar resume, terrible cover letter, and that same subpar resume pasted into LinkedIn formatting. Huge time waste. Please save your money. If I could give them negative stars I would.
Now I'm two months in, when I could have used a more reputable service and been well on my way into my job search.
