TopResume

I ordered the most expensive resume package that is "guaranteed" to produce results and done by the "top 10% of our network". I went through 3 different resume writers, each process taking a week or two, and every single result was significantly worse than the original resume I provided them to begin with. After 3 failed results I asked for my money back and they refused. This service is basically a scam. They take your money, produce terrible crap, then refuse to give your money back when you aren't happy.

Rachel was fantastic in completely reworking my resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile. She was able to capture the type of talents that would be attractive to recruiters. I thought she did extraordinary work!

I loved working with this company! Amazing work, and they get it just right. Since then I have received many job interviews and hopefully some job offers in the future. A massive thanks goes out to them for doing a brilliant job and treating their customers so well!

My writer didn't have a clue about the IT field and my resume came back looking like it was a college term paper. Paid for expedited service and turn around but missed the mark by 48 hrs with no refund. My writer was generally disinterested and got a little defensive when I was asking about the format used. He kept on saying it had peer review and this was the way resumes should be presented now. I am a hiring manager and can't say I have ever seen this format come across my desk. Total waste of money and time.

All this service provided me was a different format.The first draft has punctuation and spelling mistakes. I was told "this is the first draft". I would expect one or two mistakes but not the multiple problems I found. Obviously not written by anyone familiar with technology. The final stroke was finding this summary still in the third draft: "A results-oriented IT professional with years of 15+ years of technical management experience." They are not writers. They just take your resume, plug it into their template and expect you to make all of the corrections.

I've been contemplating whether or not to trust TopResume's services for several days. The gal I worked with (sales, not a writer) was terrific until I wrote her back with my concerns that her company was going to be a rip-off like the last one I tried. At that point, she pretty much blew me off.

Then I visited a couple of these review sites and saw the ratings other people gave them. My instincts were right. They are NOT to be trusted. I am thankful for sites like this. They saved me wasting a lot of money.

First time using this service and it was easier then I thought. My professional writer Lou was very helpful in making my experience an easy one. I'm giving it a 4 because I just started sending out my new resume, let's see that happens. Thanks for everything Lou.

Recently received my updated resume from Top Resume and must say I am quite pleased. I was a little nervous at first because things were moving very slow and the end date was drawing near. My personal writer, Missy showed and and did what she does best... even in weekends and after hours. I would definitely recommend and use again if needed

The resume will have to be rewritten, it left out lot key information, there was not much communication with writer, plus I paid for extra service that was never completed. I am not impressed at this time until they rewrite everything for the amount of money I spent.

I'm still waiting for the Resume that I have paid for. I questioned the writer and now I've been completely ignored. Even "my personal link" is void of any documents that are supposed to be there. TopResume doesn't even deserve one star for their effort. A "Senior" editor took over and screwed up what started as a good attempt at writing. You are supposed to be matched with a writer who is experienced with your industry, and that didn't happen. It would be waste of money if they actually supplied a resume to me.

First you get 7 days to review what they've done, which I didn't realize at first. When I looked their work, I thought it would require so much of my own rework to make sense of it, I didn't bother to comment on their work. The resume is a key word soup and doesn't represent my actual work experience. It actually omits a tremendous amount of my responsibilities within my jobs and makes my years of experience look pretty light weight. I suppose the layout is more pleasing aesthetically though.

It was weird that all the communications were strangely impersonal, no last names for the person helping me. I could only communicate via email. It was like one of those internet marketing things where they provide only the first name of those supposed happy customers. If this person is helping you on an individual basis, why the anonymity?

It feels very much like they just crank out formulaic resumes. Not worth the money.

My resume had not been updated in over four years. After using TopResume I now have something that is looks great and is more appealing to HR recruiters. The writers are easy to work with and quick to respond.

It was eye-opening to get an honest critique on how my resume was lacking and not presenting myself and my skill set in a way to make employers want to pursue me further. 2. Didn't listen to most of my comments and edits
3. Clearly didn't understand marketing job function with simple mistakes made on writing
4. The cover letter was TERRIBLE.

I love this option. It's hard trying to figure out what hiring managers are looking for and whomever they Asian to you knows exactly how to make your resume pop. I would do this again in a heart beat.

Searching for job that we want and getting in is one of the most important tasks in our lives. First impression is most important but we can present ourselves only through piece of paper. Two pages have 5 minutes to show 5,10, or 20 years of our life, experiences and education in best possible way to preferred employer. Top Resume have worked with me on my resume and cover letter until I was totally sure that those two pages describe my knowledge and my experiences. They have answered all my question promptly and professionally with full explanation.

My interview prep coach, Heather, is phenomenal! She helped to give me a confidence boost, plus invaluable insight. My resume and cover letter writer, Tina, was super patient and helpful. I am switching sectors and they both helped tremendously! My only negative comment is that I think the job posting service is not worth it.

This is the worst editing job I have ever seen. Lots of grammar errors, including bad tense agreement, wrong parallel constructions and wrong prepositions. The content of the resume was the same as my original resume. They totally ignored my career objectives and inserted some irrelevant key words. Aside from introducing grammar, and formatting errors this service did nothing. Keep in mind that they will not offer you any refund.

The best decision I made this year was to work with Top Resume. They were very responsive and delivered a high quality resume that landed me a job within 3 weeks. What they advertise is try and truly worth the money. I had three interviews after the first week. If you're about to look for a new job, please do yourself a big favor and have your resume written professionally.

My resume and cover letter was grammatically incorrect and the technical terms were misused. Do not waste your money on the cover letter service, it is generic for that they plug your information into. This cover letter form can easily be found by doing a simple google search. They also gave very little review time.
