I am very impressed with the process that began with an objective and honest critique of my resume. The feedback enabled me to take an objective view of something I created and of which had a personal investment.

TopResume selected a writer whose expertise was in my field. This gave me increased confidence that the writer could accurately reflect my knowledge, skills, and ability. While the writer and I did not have voice to voice communication, he was effective in communicating timely and demonstrated a sincere concern for my concerns. The final products (resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile) were MS Word format, allowing me to easily tailor to the job being sought.

Top Resume improves your resume when you need it. I definitely needed it in spite of quite an experience writing mine. The service was clear and the deliverable on time. The first draft was a radical change and improvement. The writer also asked for some specifics to further strengthen. Then we went thru an iteration to refine it. The writer was responsive and soon the final version was on hand. The cover letter was generic and provided the basis for customization according to the particular job ad one answers. The LinkedIn review was simple and basically amounted to an explanation if the different fields. A rating of 5 would have been gained of Top Resume was doing more pointed recommendations for me to improve it. Overall great service and I would recommend it.

I was very hesitant at first to pay this much money for something I believed I should just be able to do myself. Who better knows me than myself. Working with Cindy, I got moved into the 21st century job market with a fully updated CV and cover letter. She opened my eyes to things I was not aware of and how to better present myself and my achievements.

The challenge was not just to decide which person or company could help me to polish my resume. It was also to restructure and reorganize what I already had. Then, I found TopResume via the internet... Good choice! The assigned writer was very professional and always communicative. I am completely satisfied with the final product. I would positively recommend TopResume if you need to improve your resume or CV.

I agreed with some of the initial points from their "free critique" and so I thought the service might be legit. Nope. They copied-and-pasted job descriptions from some unknown source. They put random skills and responsibilities that had NOTHING to do with my skills and experience. It looks like they keyword-searched either my employer or the position titles and filled in random descriptions. They removed large sections of my resume (such as "software skills") with no explanation. They changed my resume from one that "need improvement" to one that is literally useless and would be fraudulent to use. I now see that there are MANY, MANY people voicing similar complaints.

The writer did not care anything about my experience. Very poorly written resume. She changed the format and put some silly catch phrases without any concrete experience.

I still use my own format and it works like a charm.

I asked her the reasons behind the resume format and items they chose to highlight. No response. Wasted around $200

I decided to use top resume after using a resume writing service several years ago with great success (found through Monster.com's recommendation) and was I wrong. First review came back with writer not following my request for updated resume, as well paid $50 2 day express delivery! WASTE of MONEY as final result was not great, and well over 2 days; nor did I confirm final version was ok. All together cost about $180 and doubting final result

Writing a resume and a cover letter has never been one of my strength so i decided to give TopResume a try. I bought the Executive Priority package and have to admit it is the best investment i could have done while looking for a new position.
The service was fast, courteous and looking a my revised resume it is day and night compared to what i had done myself. I was not even aware i have so many working qualifications, that i never though about putting in front as for me it is simply part of my every day job.
If i were you, i would not hesitate a single second to hire TopResume, especially in the fast pace world we are living, where every single matter evolve everyday. Let's the specialists take care of you and your career :)

Just had my resume revamped by TopResume and am excited to see what the response from recruiters will be. My particular writer was easy to work with and knowledgeable about my field.

A couple of months later, the resume did not help me at all and a few recruiters actually criticized the creative format. $100 seemingly down the drain...

Writer was good, but did find some glaring issues on the first run. Verbiage was off and template characters were in the draft so it's clearly a template being used. Once corrected, it looked good. Will see how it goes in the application world of ATS's next.

After sending a copy of my resume to TopResume, they responded, with some great, suggested changes. I decided to have them update it, and they were excellent!
They were very dedicated to giving me truly, fantastic results.

Just needed a few tweaks on my resume but they really pulled it together. Would have never thought of some of the ideas or wording myself. I used to not send a cover letter, but with my new and improved one, I do it all the time.

I took the bait and accepted the FREE assessment, which was insightful. Then, it went downhill from there. The re-written resume sent by their expert resume writer was embarrassing and made no sense. I have asked for my money back but not holding my breath. Lesson learned.

Horrible, horrible horrible job. Complete garbage resume. They combined 2 completely different jobs I had into one, they made little to no change on my resume. Only to change the order of my points around. When they "highlighted" the most important achievements they used items from jobs 10 years ago that were not relevant to the job I was applying for.

This is a real free service that is actually someone that reads your resume and critiques the entire thing. There is no catch but of course they offer an additional service to rewrite your resume after for a good price. (Around 150$ which is totally worth it to land the job you want). I have no affiliation with this company just a happy customer!

From start to finish it was very easy to work with my writer about my career experience. Utilized all experience to be streamlined and effective. Presentation was solid and put my best qualities of full display in a orderly and consistent manner. I used the options for a resume, LinkedIn page, and cover letter. Service was fast and responsive. Have to admit being fed up and a bit confused by all the conflicting advice as how to create a CV. With a but of trepidation I approached TopResume for help. This has been such a image building experience. The process was easy and efficient. The outcome amazing. My CV is clear, brief but is a great advertisement for me. I have utilized several different resume services over my career, but my experience with Top Resume was by far the best. Jessica who handled my rewrite, was in constant communication with me over the course of the process, she would provide me with rough drafts to review and made any changes. The final product looks wonderful and am eager to utilize it in my job search hoping that it pays off.

The proposed resume was loaded with industry and technical errors not present in my resume. A few of examples of the myriad errors: Suggested "barristers" in a US attorney resume (! - I strongly suspect that "Daniel H." sits in India and isn't named "Daniel"); misconstrued copyrights and trademarks; changed my title from "Counsel" to "General Counsel"; and on and on. The proposed cover letter was no better. I should have known better than to go with a generalist service rather than someone who actually knows the US legal industry.

I paid a premium service which promised a top writer that understood my industry. Wrong. She didn't. Wrote phrases that didn't make sense. Somethings got even worse after feedback. She had grammar and spelling mistakes I could spot. English is my second language and one of the reasons I paid was to get a resume ob perfect English... customer service decided to stop responding.

Their scope is very limited; I provided ample data, accomplishments, 3 different resumes that cover a large amount of time and provide direction of what I wanted to achieve. What I received was a very watered down version of my existing resume, not a newly crafted resume designed for the new direction I has provided, very disappointing. I would recommend shopping around, not a total waste, but you may do better.

They did a better rewrite than I could have done on my own. It's extremely helpful to be talking with someone who is familiar with current market trends. I was having trouble wanting to spend more time on my resume but I also knew I wanted a more polished document. They delivered on this. They give you a decent timeframe for revisions as well.

I thought the service was very good and provided me with a lot of information regarding putting together a good resume. I recognize that I have to update some items on my own depending upon the job to which I would apply and my own understanding of some of the more technical terms that can be involved with IT related resumes. I also was glad that I purchased the LinkedIn service as it is essentially a forgone conclusion that will be examined closely by potential employers as well.
