I was a little hesitant to use any resume services at first. As everyone knows, this can be the most difficult part of the job hunt; getting a stand out resume! A friend who was working in a company I have been applying to for years, suggested that I use TopResume. I very quickly received a first draft and only had to undergo one edit. I paid for the rush due to the big hiring boom right now which was also very much worth it. With the resume provided, I was able to land FOUR interviews with very reputable organizations. The most difficult part is that I was extended an offer by ALL OF THEM! I always knew I would do well in the interview but was really struggling to get past the applicant tracking software. I received my revised resume and cover letter in less time than expected. This was major for me as I wanted to be able to quickly apply to a multitude of vacancies and land a great job as soon as possible.

My revision stage was short despite my suspicion of the fact that my writer was not familiar with my industry. Person who wrote mine had no understanding of the industry I work in. Resume suggestions are out of line with current teaching in Australia.
Their resume suggestions seem to be trying to gear your resume towards management style positions - which I don't want.

Their response was fast. The resume critique they gave was indeed honest, straightforward, and with suggestions for its improvement. They broke down the resume into sections and gave their insights as to what makes it good and bad and how to make it better though I would like it to be more specific in some areas as it sounds so broad.

I was hesitant to let a complete stranger re-write my resume, but afterwards, I'm very pleased to have done so. They take a subjective look at your experience and achievements, and turn it into a great piece to put your best foot forward.

This was the worse decision made! I they did not have any depth of understanding, their inability to process or comprehend feedback. Even after providing feedback -- e.g. my name, content spelling errors, etc. This was the worse experience ever! They do no work!

Op Resume was GREAT in their promptness and delivering exactly what they said they would deliver. I don't know if it was my writer or this is a common problem but upon receiving my resume there were several words spelled incorrectly and sentences that did not flow correctly. When I say did not flow correctly mainly the problems were run-on sentences or chopped up sentences or phrases that did not make sense upon reading them. My advice is to proof read your resume back from them very hard as I was very nonchalant about this and did not really notice all the mistakes until after I was done with the entire process. I of course have since fixed all the errors myself but the layout was great and again very timely.

My writer dismissed my concerns and wants when working on my resume. I told them my draft was too wordy, and the paragraphs that were written did not make sense. Paragraphs were just bullets point together. When I told him I wanted him to change it, he would write back about how he was right. I decided to accept the offer because I was just so fed up with going back and forth. I want someone else to take a look at my resume if possible. Please feel free to contact me if this is possible. I am currently unemployed, I was extremely lucky to find Katie Warren from TopResume by coincidence, this is not the first time I have had dealings with TopResume. I must reiterate that on both occasions with them I was never charged a cent for the fantastic work they did for me. TopResume helped me by reviewing my existing C. V, peruse it with a fine tooth comb and come back with very insightful feedback, Katie Warren went above and beyond giving me outstanding tips of where my C.V. let me down, My current C.V. was close to 10 pages long, thanks to TopResume I have condensed it down to 2 pages, my format and layout was not consistent, I had bullet points everywhere, my wording was not clear or concise, so I utilised all this critical information which was free of charge and made my C.V. stand out from the rest, I am sure that I will have no trouble securing the job I am after now

I do recommend TopResume for anyone who interesting to put his foot on the right path in the job market, the resume is the most important document that can launch the correct starter of communication.

It was a disappointing waste of time to try and fix all the mistakes the resume service made with my resume. They call it collaboration but they make you do all the work. Might be helpful for entry-level workers but I found their resume version to be a tragic downgrade from the one I wrote myself.

TopResume was a Godsend! I got a complete reworking of my resume quickly for a great price. Amanda, my personal writer, is a true pro! She translated all my "career" speak into real language, and revised my resume so that it featured the responsibilities I wish to highlight for my next role. She was patient and happy to do all the revisions I requested. She also took the information and drew up a profile perfect for LinkedIn. And, what felt like a bonus, I got a cover letter too! Had a great experience working with a resume writer and completing a mock interview. Just really getting started with my job search but I feel like they have really helped me prepare to be successful!

While my resume was pretty good, even though I abandoned the writer after the first edit and did it myself because they weren't doing what I was asking, the Linkedin thing is a joke. As in other reviews they just copy and paste. You can do that for free. I paid for the resume blast, but was never provided the service. They will not give me a refund on this. I already got a job and don't need it, since it has been over a month now. A side note if you are trying to reach them don not send an email or message in the message tab. You have to go on the live chat, which isn't live. This is the only way to get a response. Also you have to check back, because there is nothing to alert you that they have responded.

I received my first draft within 2 days with only minor revisions which I had back in less than 24 hours. Thank you TopResume (and my rep Aidan) for making my job search less stressful!
