Initially i had them do a free review. Prepare yourself for a very honest critique of your resume. Almost two pages of suggestions to think about and fix. I signed up for the resume and cover letter which was around 210. I answered a few questions, submitted my resume, and then it took a day to get matched to a writer. I was blown away with the work she did on the first draft. After i provided info she needed and what i wanted to see. It took her about 4 days to get back to me on my completed project. I then opened what used to be a terrible resume to something that was amazing. I wish i could send a tip because i was not only proud of the work but have passed the name on to my friends and family. Update: after a day submitting to jobs, i have already been contacted by one employer which i have never heard from for the years i have been trying to get in. Well worth the money invested.

There is room for improvement of course as in any service or product. I believe that in my case, because of the type of industry I worked for, the matched or selected writer faced challenges which are understandable. TopResume should try to match writer with type of industry a bit better, whenever possible.

I received the resume, It was full of flamboyant words. The only part that made any since was what they copied from my current resume. I let other people in my field look at my resume and the one topresume prepared, they all agreed that the resume topresume prepared looked fake, lies. I am a blue collar worker. My opinion how can some one that does not know the trade that you work in write a resume. I asked for a full refund they said no. The only company I have ever done business with that will not give you a refund is your not happy with there work. Stay away from these people

My resume was written like it was someone from India, had names of tools and equipment written on it that I've never heard of, they give you 7 day window to liaise with the writer which takes 3-4 days to reply to changes that needed to be done then the final product was 3/4 of a page with continued at the bottom, stay away from these scammers.

I had an excellent experience with Top Resume, mainly because the author who was assigned to me not only put great work in front of me from the first draft, but also answered all my questions with helpful answers. After matching with my writer the process took 8 days to complete. Almost on all of those 8 days I was in touch with my writer discussing the resume and cover letter rewrite in detail. I was assigned a writer that is supposedly familiar with my industry (Telekom). It quickly became obvious that he was not. He took my original resume, changed a few words here and there, and that was it. It was clear that my writer put in no effort. I even paid for a professionally written LinkedIn profile, and I was again sorely disappointed. All the writer did was copy & paste my resume, with no changes whatsoever. On top of everything the resume and LinkedIn profile had spelling and grammatical errors which I had to correct.

Don't waste your money. TopResume is utter and complete garbage.

I ended up with a good, usable final product; however, I was switched to 3 different writers. Since the time limit for changes is 7 days, I asked for more time to make revisions and was told I could have more time, but then one day received an email message from the writer that my product was complete. I found the method of communication between myself and the writer not as efficient as I would have liked.

I was wary after reading that everyone basically gets the same free feedback (which did turn out to be true), but then once my resume was turned over to the person who specialized in my area I could tell I was in great hands. I am very happy with the way my resume turned out! The cover letter is standard, but I was just too lazy to write one myself. Don't pay them! Seriously! I have bought a package of 1 resume and cover letter.

The first draft that they sent me was complete disaster! It was extremely irrelevant to my sector and my job description etc. and the template was very standard - that you can find from anywhere on the internet. Also the cover letter was a copy-paste one which doesn't have any individual input.

And they haven't done any significant change in the second draft. So in the end, I had a resume which I can't use anywhere and I've thrown my money to the street in all means...

So please take my advice and instead of giving your money for nothing, you'd better to find a template on the internet and do it yourself.

I had a 3 page resume with 25 years of things I thought would be a selling point for me. Once I got the executive package and saw my 1 page transformation I was blown away. I will be going back and updating my profiles I have already submitted applications for to better improve my chances. After 3 months of looking I was fed up. Now I'm eager to start again.

Let's start with the fact that we know everyone will not be pleased all the time! In my case, this service and final product was outstanding. I have read some of the dissatisfied customers and I am not convinced that any of them have any valid points of contention at all. What you don't read is how this company will in the end resolve it and satisfy them. The last time I prepared a resume was 10 years ago. Times do change and expectations of potential employers change with it. This resume was revamped, rewritten, and formatted in a short time. Yes, I had to wait for the right person to complete my resume, but it was certainly worth every minute and every dollar spent. As a result, I have opportunities now that I would not have enjoyed without this TopResume. One potential employer took another look at my resume and was blown away and now I am being considered for the position. What more can be said about the excellence that TopResume provides?

I submitted my order and questionnaire 2 weeks ago and I am still waiting for my first draft to be sent.
I am still not sure who is working on my resume and their real professional background (if actually someone is working on my resume). I have received 4 emails to offer me a discount to pay for additional options like LinkedIn resume review but still no news about what they can actually deliver. Pretty bad experience.
