I had an outdated resume and several documents that would need to be pieces together to complete a new resume. I was worried that it would be difficult for my writer to create a cohesive whole, but Allen did a phenomenal job. Drafts were sent quickly, he was so communicative and helpful, and we completed the process by draft 2 and ahead of schedule. I highly recommend this service.
Received the services I purchased in the correct timeline. However, the format was not compatible for Apple devices despite my requesting that a universal format be utilized. Most significantly, I've had very negative feedback from recruiters and hiring managers with the content of my new resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn page. Even people I've worked with say they don't adequately communicate my skills and experience. The company offers no way to request a partial or full refund or contact them in any way. I posted this review on other review sites as well. The company contacted me to correct the issues by assigning a different person to rewrite the documents. Having no trust in the value of wasting additional time and effort working with someone else utilizing the same methods as the first representative, I requested a refund. The company refused to refund my money. So, I've wasted time, money, and still have useless documents. Please don't utilize this organization.

Delays in getting started on the process were long. Communications were sparse and automated--no real contact with the assigned resume writer. Slower response on revisions. Rewrite was more like just moving things around and elimination of first-person references in the verbiage. This wasn't a total waste of money, but I'm not sure it was worth the nearly $200 charged.

Wonderful experience. They took my work experience and created a resume that I could not have even imagined doing myself. It was like Brandon C. Was my coworker at one of my previous jobs - he described what I had done perfectly. The process is very interactive. I quickly received the first draft, made some notes, sent it back, and soon I had a revised draft to view. They really listened to my concerns and comments and came up with acceptable changes that better reflected me as a future employee to what ever company I send it to. Thank you TopResume. Top resume has been super helpful in my job search! They were able to review my resume with an objective eye and help me land better with my target audience.
My resume took a while to be drafted after receiving payment, but it needed little to no edits when I reviewed it.

The process was not very comprehensive, and did not meet my expectations because there were mine outline before during or after the process.
The author did a good job, but I have the draft but when I "approved", I've heard nothing since, apart from this feedback email!?!

They were great. The guy they had write my resume was already familiar with my field and highlighted my experience really well. After getting my resume and cover-letter I got 2 interviews within 3 days of submitting my applications. I'd definitely use them again in the future.

The first person I was assigned left a bit to be desired, shall we say. Jacob was "on it," and he was very responsive. My only suggestion would be to allow a phone call or two. That would save time and be more clear than e-mail alone.

A friend recommended me to evaluate TopResume in order to update my resume. We all believe that we can make the best resume ever by just using google and downloading some templates. However, my free evaluation provided relevant insights so I decided to contract TopResume.
They contacted a professional writter in matter of a couple of days and we went over a draft and some minor adjustments in less than a week, the result was very attractive, since I'd never put together a resume like that on my own, the writter also provided valuable answers to my questions about perception from recruiters on the resume format and info.

First of all, TopResume sent me an e-mail pointing what was not so good in my resumè. When I decided to buy their services, a consultant started talking with me by e-mail. I got really glad with the result. I think every professional should invest some time and money to let his/her resume a lot attractive to the employers.

They were very timely but also extremely helpful in creating a resume that went from getting no response from employers to getting interviews immediately. The specialist I worked with was extremely helpful in answering questions and providing feedback.

I was lost in my efforts to concisely articulate (30) years of experience. My original resume was long and boring - in my opinion and that of others. I was blown away by my writer's responsiveness and 1st draft. I was even more pleased by her receptiveness to my comments and suggestions. I truly felt that she cared. Most importantly, those who have reviewed my original and the final product are extremely impressed and I received compliments from (2) recruiters within the 1st week of sending it out. I'm currently an active job seeker who was looking for some critiquing, so I searched online to see if there was any sites that would be able to give is a boost. Luckily, I happened to come across this particular site. After a free consultation, they suggested my resume should be strengthened and they were willing to do so at a reasonable cost. It was definitely worth it.

To explain in the details. I spent a heavy amount to get their service. I got an initial draft which was not satisfactory. They give the time for a revision period of 7 days but after I submitted my first comment they never came back to me and my revision period is over. This is how they work... Just get your money first and they never respond back even after you write them back asking the status of your revision... so guys, don't go for this service, they are cheaters.

After I took the bait from the AARP site and from the strong customer service emails enticing me as to how wonderful the service was at To Resume, I soon learned after their first deadline was missed [7 days first draft], that I would also not be receiving any quick email replies from the "resume professional" assigned to my specific needs either.
This is a typical grab your cash and forget the customer operation. I have requested a refund through their customer service site, the resume pro, and the market rep but have not had a response (only been 48 hours). My next move is to dispute with my CC provider.
You may have a better experience then I, but, that choice is yours. I do not recommend this provider.

These guys took a lot of money and didn't produce a decent resume. The first cut look like an amateur effort. The email that came from the writer sounded like he was from India. The second version never came. NEVER work with these guys. I don't even know how to find them for a refund.

I really enjoyed working with TopResume, everything was delivered on time to what package I had purchased. During my first review I had questions as to why certain words were used in describing my skills, they weren't keywords so I was needing clarification since I'm not the expert here. They were very clear, concise, and in depth with answering my questions about words used, and making any changes I asked for. There truly is a discussion and conversation between you and your resume writer. I appreciate when companies deliver what they say they will.
Tip for consumers:
Keep in mind that you are not working with an in person resume writing service and that if that is the level of contact you would like to have there are local services that might suit your needs better. Also, keep in mind the value, do research on what other services cost and their reviews. I did so, and chose TopResume to become a happy customer. It may not be the right service or means for all parties.

The writer does not connect with the client. The whole experience seems robotic. The draft provided after a full week of waiting was no where near a reflection of me nor did the draft sell me as a candidate. It was worse then the one I wrote. I am trying to get some action from them and it has been three weeks and nothing other then a bad draft has been provided. Beyond disappointed and I am still waiting for response from them. They processed my payment within minutes of my purchase and I still do not have a resume that I can use, three weeks later. Negative star rating.

They claim that their "professional resume writer" that you get matched with will collaborate closely with you to perfect your new resume and cover letter. This writer I got matched with would not take my input, and gave me something full of grammatical and punctuation errors that I still had to go back and fix. The cover letter reads like it was written in a different language and fed into a translating website. Unfortunately all sales are final, and Mastercard wouldn't let me dispute it as they technically did provide me with a service even though that service was useless.

I used the premium service and got my resume back quickly. I worked with Frederick to make some revisions. The feedback was very helpful, and my resume improved 100% with Frederick's help. I think it's very important to communicate with your writer, otherwise they rely solely on the electronic info and that just isn't enough. I will say that I finally got an interview after using my polished-up resume and cover letter. Coincidence? I think not.

Nitially very poor service -- no improvement to existing CV format or content.
AFTER a complaint - the company proved true to their word. Provided an exceptional agent who delivered a 100% great product for my use.
Ultimately, after the initial pain, the end result was quite valuable. I give them extra credit for fixing a problem when I, the client, requested a fix.

Not too many words, not too little! Said what i need to know and passed me all the spirit of how companies work more or less! S/He also have the understanding as i believe of the true value of knowledge! It is not a paper, it is a way of life. A thing i just love to do whether it has to do with my industry or with just Biology. I think i have one more motivation after seeing this one person talking with passion about the true value of knowledge that i lit my fire up to keep pushing because in my place, knowledge is only a paper where everyone hates the process but wants the rewards! You need to pass that spirit to the world and give more than just a Resume which was great! Give hope!

I like that they told me all the ways my resume was bland. I thought that the employer simply wanted to know your credentials and not some flowery whatevers about your accomplishments and recognitions. Mine were listed but did not have too much imagery or "bang!" words. Will continue to work with them and see what I can accomplish with their help.

This was my first experience with a professional resume service. TopResume turned out to be a great choice for me.
