This company is TOP notch. They took my older resume, updated the information as well as reformatted the style. Thomas Y. Was an absolute pleasure to work with. They/he was quite prompt with the entire process. I would recommend their services to anyone who wants they're resume to stand out in the crowd. A job superbly executed.

TopResume is fast, efficient, and I had virtually no edits on their first draft. I landed an interview literally days after I sent out my "new and improved" resume. They use generic advice that I think they somehow automate to impress you with a long, free review, then bait and switch with the actual offshore people. I think it's automated initially because they said stuff like "use bullet points" when my whole résumé is bulleted, but the bullets are directly on the PDF design and not generated in a recognizable MS Word bullet format. They also said a bunch of stuff that was flat-out wrong that I won't bore you with. Not worth anything.

As an older person re-entering the job market, I knew I was out of touch with resume structure and language. My resume was too passive and outdated. It wasn't passing the 30 second review or the filtering process. I reached out to TopResume, and as promised within 48 hours I was assigned to Rich, and he presented me with a draft of my revised resume. My original resume was too passive, and perceived me as a doer not an achiever. It lacks language that showed my years of accomplishments.
Rich was very professional and easy to work with. As he was working on my LinkedIn profile, he came across a few minor errors, and notified me immediately, with the second correct revision attached. I was frustrated trying to find a way to present my transferrable skills in a way that would make me enticing to new employers. For the last ten years I've worked in childcare in some capacity and am currently completing a master's degree in marketing. While much of my experience has been on the business side, I was having trouble attracting employers. But in the week since I've completed work with my resume writer, i've received several calls and emails for interviews. Would definitely recommend this service to others.

This service was recommended by someone who used several years ago. I needed an update and decided to use as my time was limited. I was pleased with initial response and time frame 7 days. I was not pleased with the result. Despite several attempts and a new writer assigned, the quality of what I received as well as the format was far below my expectations and standards. I felt like a teacher correcting a student assignment. Initially I was going to have them update my LinkedIn as well, but a big NO on that. They also refused to credit me for LinkedIn revision for which no work had been done. Since they did attempt the resume and put time in, I did not push for a refund for the poor resume, but I will dump it, not worth sending out.

I decided to use Topresume after they provided me a decent evaluation of my current resume. The problem is they use a skilled evaluator to review your resume, but that individual does not work on your resume after you contract them. The actual editing is outsourced to someone with very little skill. In my case they simply rearranged my resume. Much of the wording they added was not even grammatically correct, and would have made me look foolish if I would have applied with their work product. This is unacceptable. They did not even implement the changes they themselves recommended. It is clearly a bait and switch. When expressing my dismay they simply passed me along to (5) different people. Be advised you will not receive a refund even if they provide you with this garbage. If you are a professional, this is not a place for you. Beware!

I've email back 3 times, NO ONE will respond to me.

I had bought the services of writing my resume and linked in profile from TopResume and what happened after is really amazed me and made me wonder how such company still in business! First i have to followup with them to get my first resume draft and after they finished, i waited for my linked in profile from them and it turns out it is mostly a copy and paste from your resume after adding letter 'I'! I told them it is no acceptable but they never replied to me and when i got fed up I called them and their customer service agent said that the order is closed and basically take whatever we gave you!

They really take everything into account before starting to work on your resume. You also get the effort out of your resume that you put in.
The negative reviews I see about the "writers not knowing" is only relevant if you don't give them information to work with. They ask for job postings of jobs that you would want. They ask a questionnaire for you to talk about yourself, so they can get a better idea of you. If you put no effort into your answers, then you probably won't get as much back. The answers are where they get an idea of you and what you want. I needed my resume for a high management position and got multiple call backs and job offers after submitting my new resume.

I paid $150 for a resume written by a five year old. The writer had no knowledge of my industry, and the finished product was full of spelling and grammatical errors. I asked repeatedly to speak to customer service agent to discuss, and was completely ignored. I had to re-write the whole thing myself. Stay away from this company.

My experience was very good. Top Resume gave me insight on how hiring managers view me as a potential candidate through the same software recruiting personal use. They provided me with an overall view of revisions I needed to make, which I am greatful to have been provided with professional advice. I would strongly recommend having Top Resume compose your resume, don't attempt doing it on your own.

Overall, it seemed like the resume writer didn't have a great understanding of high level IT concepts; just knowing they even exist. This feels like it would have been better if I was searching for an entry level position and not a senior one. I had to request the same things to be completed over and over again. I'm not dissatisfied but I'm not satisfied either, and so I consider this service to have a been a waste of money, time, and I will not be pursuing this again. I also shared the resume with two IT directors I know and they gave me better feedback in a shorter time frame than this process.

I don't think my resume was worth $150. The most important part was the objective that I needed help on and that was accomplished. I suggested some changes and he said yes you can do that but if I'm paying $150 those minors changes could have been made before sending me the final copy, which was basically the draft.
