I knew my resume had a lot of improvement opportunities, but I didn't know where to start. TopResume helped showing the most important points to correct. It was a very good job that gave me the chance to write a better resume.

The "final" resume that was delivered to me was scattered with multiple misspelled words, inconsistently formatted bullets and sentences that were incomplete and made no sense. (I understand keywords, but, please!) When I received the resume I ran spell check on the document but the misspellings were embedded in the body of the document and were not highlighted. My mistake for not proofreading it more carefully. Shame on TopResume for ever delivering such incredibly shoddy work.

Since I have taken his advice and updated my resume I have already received 3x more interview requests than I was getting. Do not waste your money! I'm convinced this company and their services are a scam. My "professional" resume writer originally said she would have a draft available in a couple of business days. After 3 days, I sent an email just to check in and see when she thought she could have the draft completed. I didn't receive a response. The next day I contacted customer support and they reached out to her. I got a reply from her saying she was working on my resume and would have it to me the following day (yesterday)... nothing. I emailed her this morning to check the status and no response. Contacted customer service and they refuse to give a refund. They say they've assigned my resume to a new writer and I'll have it by tomorrow. I received a resume and cover letter tonight that's not even mine! Totally incompetent for a supposedly professional business. I plan to dispute the charges and report them to the BBB.

I paid for the cover letter and resume service and my resume writer did a great job conveying what I wanted to showcase in terms of my skills and strengths in my resume. I was happy and impressed. It was a big improvement from my original resume. Everything that I wanted to say to an employer about why they should look at me was on point. Had a little issue with some of the job descriptions being placed at the wrong spot, but luckily I was able to catch those things. Any changes I wanted to make after my first draft was done and my resume write was aware of those changes. Communication through email was helpful. My resume writer got back to me quickly and listened to what I wanted to portray in my resume. I would recommend this service.

When I clicked the "yes" button to submit my resume for review, I fully expected to receive canned garbage about formatting, grammar, and word choices. What I received instead, a well written and radically candid review of my resume. While I truly wanted to, due to recent financial situations, I could not opt to have the company write me a new resume. However, the feedback given helped me to write a better resume that attracts the right employers to me and helps me show potential employers why I'm a great candidate. I know this because, after rewriting, I have seen a 35% increase in profile and resume views on job sites! I have also had more employers looking at my resume twice or more. Only 17% of candidates are reviewed more than once. This was a fabulous use of my time and a great investment. When I'm able, I fully intend to utilize the service to have the best possible resume written for me!

I have not had a new resume in years. So, I opted for the top package that provided a resume within 48 hours. Julie was assigned to me and she really listened to my needs and concerns. As promised, I received my resume within 48 hours. It was exact and professional. The cover letter is a tool I can modify and use to suit many applications. I have already recommended this service to several people that I know!

My resume work went on pretty smooth, timely & satisfactorily. Aaron was a pleasure to work with. I will give his service a 5-star.
However the service on resume-posting is so not transparent! Aside getting a mail that my resume has been posted, no one was able to tell me on which recruitment sites it has been posted despite me requesting 2-3 times. No one has contacted me about my CV yet! You really need to provide transparent evidence that the service was provide, and to prepare the customer on what to expect thereafter. This makes it look like the resume-posting service is a fluke, and I need convincing to change my mind about that. I will actually give this posting service a zero-star. This is the reason for an overall 3-star.

They promise you expert resume writers but my writer knew nothing about Canadian HR. She removed my credentials that should 100% be on my resume. She misconstrued my experience and really had no idea. You pay them but have to work in their timelines. I gave a ton of feedback for my first draft but she changed almost nothing. When I put in a complaint to the company I received no response. What a bunch of crooks and a waste of money. Do not use them!

From the start it was easy communication and decision points along the way. In a matter of days I had finished products and feel awesome about my final products - CV, cover letter and LinkedIn profile.

If you do a little math, you pay approximately $130 and you get 7 working days with your writer. If the writer is dedicated only to you then you would expect the writer to earn much less than $500 a month, which is IMPOSSIBLE. So I should say I got what I paid for.

My writer worked fast and was responsive. Though at first she didn't understand the career path I wanted to enter and provided something totally deviant in the first draft, she was able to quickly learn and submit a revision.

However, I am very disappointed in her carelessness. I understand writers cannot devote time researching or understanding my needs but at least, I don't expect any spelling or formatting errors or incorrect info in my resume. Not a pretty resume? I am okay with it; Didn't capture what I requested? I am okay with it; But you didn't bother making formatting consistent? I don't know.

I was nervous about purchasing a résumé, why? I'm not sure but I'm glad I did. Compared to my old résumé this one is very clean, detailed and not as long as my other one. It makes me sound more professional and that I am more than just an employee. I also love the cover letter that came with it. It was a fast process from start to finish.

I registered executive approach with Top resume with which i was expecting to get atleast something but i have not got anything yet.
This is just a fraud it looks like.
I wasted my more than 300 dollars into it.

I got a bad writer who wrote an embellished resume with things I don't even do. I am a salesmen, and he made me look like a customer service representative. I tried to get a refund and the company said they don't give them, but I could get a replacement senior writer. Going on, I said to go ahead and switch me to a senior writer, but it hasn't been done. Moreover, the initial writer keeps sending me letters towards changing my mind, which I don't want to do. He won't go away or listen to my request for a senior writer. I am probably going to get with my credit card company if I don't get results. This whole situation sucks!

I had been working for MANY years and wanted to update my resume to reflect my previous career but also focus on my most recent. There were several suggestions made to improve my resume. Even though I thought I did a good job writing my resume it pales in comparison to the final product. Well worth the investment and I HIGHLY recommend! You will not be disappointed!

I'm grateful to had worked with TopResume. They are very professional. The only thing I suggest is that the service of rewritting resumes, cover letters and LinkedIn profiles were not only in English language but in Spanish also.
