The end result was a well written modern resume and cover letter. The Linked In profile rewrite was not really necessary as it was pretty much just a regurgitation of the resume. Took much longer than expected- over two weeks.

This has been the worst experience i had with any company.
They do not respond to calls or emails properly, i never received my resume only keep getting excuses back or they resend the same email stating it will be sent soon.

I will get a refund back,

Dont waste your time or money this is by far the worst company i had ever dealt with.

I have more than 10 years experience in news production in the military. I'd attempted writing my own resume. I'd even used several online tutorials, templates and military resume writing classes; but, every resume I'd written on my own was instantly rejected... whether for an internship or for employment.

Within days of receiving my final resume, I submitted it for an internship at major international news organization. I was turned down for the internship, but told my background qualifies me for a direct-hire position.

I really appreciated the efficiency and professionalism shown throughout the process. The writer at TopResume carefully considered all the information that I provided and customized my resume and cover letter to suit my style. I didn't want any fancy, marketing jargon that doesn't really impress recruiters. I just wanted simple, honest adjectives that reflected my skills, as well as important industry keywords that the applicant tracking systems would catch. I lost my resume when my computer was stolen and having someone re-write a new one from scratch was something well worth paying for in my book. The cover letter was great and an attention getter and the resume was good, but not great. I was expecting someone with a great deal of expertise in resume writing and understanding buzz words and insight into what hiring managers want to see. Though Kim was good, there was nothing that suggested she was an expert. In fact, the first few revisions had issues that even I as a notice resume writer picked up on. I have the feeling that had i just said "great thanks," she would've happily sent me on my way. All in all good experience and saved me a lot of time, but do some of your own research and don't expect an expert on the other end.

The response to my request was immediate. I was able to have the staff make some changes as I saw them. Compared to my old, pallid resume this is a thing of beauty. I am flooded with job offers. I think the cost was reasonable. An all around great job.

Like most people I was hesitant on spending the money to have my resume critiqued and revamped but I decided to take a chance and I'm certainly glad I did.
