My writer did a terrible job. When I spoke to a sales rep they guaranteed me that I would be working with a writer that had experience in the legal industry and with law students. That was a complete lie. A six year old could've done a better job. So much irrelevant information was added. If you are a law student or in the legal profession, stay away from this company. Horrific customer experience. They should be providing customers refunds when they do such a poor job. This company is running a complete scam.

During my search for a new position, one of the websites I was using offered a free review of my resume. I accepted but did not expect much, it's free. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the feedback. It was great! I was given advice about visual presentation and organization. I was provided with specific examples about passive language versus active language, as well as my employment and education history. Most importantly, they shared information about digital readiness. I had no idea. TopResume provided expert advice that is invaluable.

The resume provided was cut-and-paste into a template with many typos and even parts of someone else's resume in mine. I'm a product manager and there were bullets about the legal profession in the resume they provided. The writing style is also very weak and plain. Their resume will definitely not set you apart from your competition, IMO. In fact, the resume I provided to them at the start was still 100% stronger than their finished product. The cover letter is again a plain template that is almost embarrassing. I would never send this to a hiring manager. I would put my job search opportunities at risk by sending the Top Resume product to companies. I also felt like I was the Top Resume quality department with the high number of errors that I found. I spent too much time quality checking their product. Also, they put you on a time clock. The resume writer ended the engagement while the product was far from final. They also never completed the LinkedIn work that I paid for... but that's probably a good thing IMO. I recommend that anyone with more than 2-year's experience save their valuable time and money and look elsewhere.

My experience with TopResume was extraordinary--I feel much more confident in securing interviews, especially after my superb writer illuminated my skillset, accomplishments. The company matched you with a writer familiar with your particular field. The writer responded with expertise, quick turnaround, patience, and copious questions that encouraged me to reflect about accomplishments I previously overlooked. "TopResume" is the appropriate name for the company.

I had the pleasure of working with Oscar H. Although he told me it would take 7 days to have my resume redone. What a surprize when he had it done in 4 days. I did have several questions and he was quick to answer my questions. I also took the option to have my LinkedIn profile redone. I was quite surprised to see that not only did he do the rewrite, but he gave me the instructions on how to update it. Now I'm looking forward to see my results on my update cover letter, resume and new and improved LinkedIn profile.
