Submitted CV which had old fashioned content and format. Editor totally revamped it. Looks better. Reads better. Highlights my expertise and experience. Very quick turn-around. Highly professional.
Maggie did a good job organizing resume format although it was 10 days to get a resume draft. Thus is the third review that I have been asked to complete and I completed. Please do not ask again.
I worked with Sarah at Top Resume on the EXECUTIVE PRIORITY package. I'll keep my review short. As soon as started distributing my new resume and updated my LinkedIn profile, not only did I immediately begin to get more interest, the quality of that interest increased dramatically. I stated having completely new conversations about much higher level roles. I would absolutely use them again, AND I am recommending them to everyone.
I hired TopResume to create a resume, cover letter and LinkedIn page for me. The process and product delivery was a nightmare! The original draft came back poorly written and wrong information. After requesting changes, some were made and others completely ignored. When I complained, the writer made one change (wrong title) and never fixed the other issues. I reached out several times with no response. The issue was never resolved and I was not provided with a corrected version. I was asked to rate my experience and I explained everything AGAIN to the apparent CEO with absolutely no resolution. He responded by saying: "Thank you for filling out the survey and taking the time to leave us your review and comments. I am really sorry to hear that your experience was less than perfect and definitely want to ensure this does not happen moving forward. This feedback is essential to creating improvements in the way our clients interact with TopResume. Please rest assured that we take this seriously and have documented your concerns and problems with your order. Thank you again for your valuable feedback. Please let us know if there is anything we can help you with in the future by just replying to this email. Our Customer Care team would be happy to help." No resolution and no refund! I don't even have a word document to change the issues myself which was supposed to be included in the package. I only have pdf files that can't be edited. So basically, I have to create it from scratch! What the hell did I pay over $200 for then?
I first got an evaluation of my resume by TopResume, and the results weren't very promising, so I decided to pay for the Resume+ Cover Letter Pack. I must say that all my questions were quickly answered, and the communication with my assistant was excellent. The final Resume and Cover Letter were just what I needed, and the delivery time was the one informed when I hired this service.
I recommend this company for young professionals with little work and CV building experience.

I paid for the resume & and cover letter re-write. After their very comprehensive review of my resume, I decided they may be worth a shot. By the way they have a zero refund policy, so once its gone its gone. In their questionnaire they ask you to provide links of jobs that you are applying for - my writer didn't even look at those links until I asked her to. I explained that I was trying to make a career change and she kept highlighting the wrong industry and skills. The cover letter was boring, drab and too long. Also it has all the phrases you could google - noting to make your accomplishments stand out - so BORING! I didn't get the second re-write because the process timed out while I was trying to figure out how to communicate to the writer that she was going the wrong direction AGAIN. I had more interest off my old resume. My interviews have come from personal connections. Their claim of getting you through the computer sorting system it just doesn't work or I had their worst writer.

This business is a joke. First they bill me in USD for a purchase from their Australian site resulting in overcharging me about $100. Then the "writer" they assigned to me does such a bad job that the first draft is so bad it's not acceptable. There were incorrect dates for roles, incorrect job titles, position descriptions copied from previous roles that were totally wrong and many other mistakes. When I ask for assistance to fix the billing error and also the unacceptable draft nothing happens. Eventually after raising a dispute with my bank I am told that no further work can be done until the bank dispute is resolved. In the meantime I am having to use an old resume to apply for some great roles. Three months later, several weeks after the bank dispute is resolved, I contacted by topresume to see what they need to do. Overall this is by far the worst business I have had the horror (NOT honour) to interact with. I strongly recommend using an alternative company to topresume as they are crap.
My resume had a lot of work needed when I sent it over. The person who worked with me was nice and kept me up to date. The end product was great, perfect wording and proper structure.
I had written my own resume about 3 times and the formatting was plain and to the point. I was going from an engineering background to IT so I had trouble translating my work into a cyber security standpoint. I went to TopResume to get a "professional" to write the resume with what I have. I ended up getting a copy/pasted very bland resume with more than 1 spelling error and the formatting was completely wrong and all hiring managers would ask for another resume since it looked weird (from 1 page to 2 page and header was copy/pasted that I will show a photo of). Not only that but after talking with the company to fix the spelling errors in my cover letter and resume it was a pain to place it on many of the job related sites like Dice.com, LinkedIn.com, Indeed.com, ZipRecruiter.com and many more.
The Advice I give to everyone out there is this... Watch a few YouTube videos or read advice on how to write a resume and try to do your own. After that find a nice template online to organize your information and be careful of the formatting since it will be completely different from MS Word and the rest of the internet (Try google docs view along with MS Word to be sure).
I will not waste more time on this service describing their quality of service. I paid to solve a problem and got new problems pointing out simple mistakes made in their work.
TopResume is a fantastic service. The person that I worked with responded quickly, asked a lot of questions to make sure everything was clear, and did a fantastic job updating my resume.
Answer: It depends, if you want to pay for a mediocre format riddled with errors that has the language equivalent of a high-schooler. You will end up paying $100 for something you could have sat down and done in an hour and a half.

Answer: Be careful with this company. They post 1000s of fake reviews to hide the real ones. Note that they do not post their phone number or address on the website. I had to file with the BBB to get a refund after never being contacted. This is a SCAM company - you are better off writing your own resume, trust me on this

I've been assigned 3 different writers and have received a subpar product back each time, written by someone who's first language is clearly not English. The best part, I paid $100+ for a "LinkedIn Rewrite" and this was where the writer copied and pasted their version of my resume into the boxes for LinkedIn. You've got to be kidding me... Don't waste your money!
