I took help of TopResume critique, and I got their response within 2 days of sending my resume.
They broke the whole review in parts, explaining problems with each section, helping me understand what a hiring team would infer from my choice of words, what alternatives are there for those keywords, contrasting old techniques with new ones.
At the end they also gave me an ATS(Applicant Tracking System) review. This was meant to understand how the ATS system would characterize my CV, and what would they think of me, based on all the information I have provided.
They also gave some insight into the design and relative placement of content on it, and which items are more relevant to the job description, which ones add little to it's impact.
All in all, a thorough read, and totally worth taking this review. It will help you get a fresh perspective on your own profile.

The initial questionnaire was tricky as it did not take into consideration any experience other than could be proved with figures or awards. During the process with the writer it became clear that he had no clue about my job and what it is all about. He had a toolbox of phrases and sentences and he helped to shorten the CV and make it more concise but it was hard to bring a logical flow into it. I have revised also the LinkedIn page but so far I haven't received any request from interested companies / headhunters in spite of the promises. I doubt if I would do it again.

I highly recommend this service! It takes all the stress out of creating a resume, cover letter, and linkedin. Applying for jobs is stressful enough so it felt good to relieve some of the pressure.

A less than a 1 star rating. They did not incorporate the changes I wanted. An awful F minus job. They do not believe in customer service; they keep adding additional charges. Biggest mistake I ever made. Save your money, especially if you are unemployed.

I entered with trepidation having used an in-person service years ago and paid way too much for way too little. I opted for just the Resume (no online consultation). The online response is concise and you receive benchmarks every step of the way through the process. So besides being timely as promised I then received a resume that blew me away. Besides the cutting edge formatting the verbiage and descriptions were like looking at a much better candidate that what I thought was a good job on my own. I found this service to be a great value and I just signed my offer letter for my new position (paying much better) today!

Recently, I began searching for a new job. I updated my resume and submitted it to several companies expecting them to contact me immediately. A few weeks went by. No response. TopResume offered to critique my resume for free in an effort to identify ways that I could improve it. After reviewing their suggestions, I allowed them to modify my resume accordingly. Complete transformation! The format and content was made dramatically different. I applied to jobs with my updated resume and obtained two interviews within a week. The recruiters mentioned how impressed they were with my resume's appearance. TopResume is the primary reason why my opportunities have increased and I'm very thankful for that.

This is a scam, writers are not reading any supporting documents, and everything from my previous CV was just copy pasted into a new format, with a few added spelling errors.

The cover letter I received stated that I was a specialist on aeronautics, although I have never worked with anything even remotely related - i work with policy research. It was clear that it was a standard format copied from someone else, withs some of my CV achievements added in bullet point format.

If you have done a degree in english, or have previously worked in an english speaking industry and you are not a graduate. I can guarantee you will be very disappointed. Me and five colleagues have all dried this service, all with the same results.

Please also beware of the writer Julie W. She is rude, difficult to work with, and unwilling to take on feedback.

Top Resume is a total rip-off I started researching the software these companies use to scan resumes? You would think that since they cater to a diverse audience that it would scan with the standards they Guaranteed? Nope It's been almost a month and not one interview! Please find another company don't be duped like this individual!

In the process of applying for jobs, I was asked if I wanted to have my CV reviewed by TopResume. Not thinking much of it, I said "sure, why not." A few days later I received exhaustive and meaningful feedback on why my resume was not getting noticed. Coming from academia, I've never really had to put together an industry resume and now know where my short-comings are. I can't express how surprised I was to get such good, personalized information for free!

I signed up for TopResume and unfortunately, my initial writer dropped off the project. I was assigned a new writer who was fantastic. Through our dialogue, we were able to pinpoint what was needed and the resume now looks great. I'm eager to see how it will be viewed by future search committees.

I wanted an overhaul on my resume and cover sheet so I contacted them.
The price is high in my opinion, but the product that came out of it was mediocre at best. Spelling errors and grammatical errors were fixed. After their 60 day period of no results they re-did the resume which is the only reason I gave them 2 stars.
The re-done resume is still sub par and yielding no results and I have stopped using it.
They also contact customers asking them to provide positive feedback on these sites in exchange for a $20 Amazon gift card.

This company is awful! My resume has been rewritten at least three times and the work was substandard. When I complained, they changed writers. Better version this time, but they wanted additional money to incorporate the revisions. The final straw was being sent another person's cover letter with my resume. Would not recommend!

The team at TopResume was top notch when it came to reviewing my current resume and providing feedback for improvement. They then worked quickly to re-do my resume along with my Linkedin profile. I have had many good responses so far from potential employers and it has helped me in my job search.

I ordered two resumes. One for my husband who works in the auto industry and I am a teacher.

I was told "Writing experts" in each of our fields would contact us once we completed the job questionnaire.

The entire process was confusing. I had to call to clarify and see what was going on after receiving a resume for my mechanic husband as a teacher.

After complaining, two resumes were completed within 24 hours. I felt the writer just rushed them and same person wrote each of our resumes.

I've contacted customer support and have never heard back. I'm not sure how their reviews are so high. My federal resume was only two pages! I was told by several federal employees that their resumes were over four pages long

I was looking for an easy process with little back-and-forth communication as I had very limited time. TopResume did just that! The process was simple, communication was prompt and they delivered me with a resume and cover letter that highlights my top skills. The only hesitation with a 5 star rating reflects on the 7-day feedback period, it would be great if this was longer given some people's workloads make it difficult to respond within a 7-day turn around. With that said, strongly encourage you to use this company!

Pulled me in for $279, great "resume review" bait and then I ordered the $279 package they delivered a fake job history and fake skills. I have been battling them for months trying to get my refund.
Their resumes are re-written by people overseas using information in OTHER peoples resumes.
It is amazing how a company like this can actually be in business and exist, it is a complete fraud. Look at their reviews, 99% are negative.

It was a good experience and went pretty smooth. The only topic I need to pint out is the lack of grammar attention. There is room for improvement, especially when it comes on when to use Capital Letters at the beginning of Substantives, this is not continuously followed. Just an Example: "Sales & Marketing, business development". That's how it looked in the Resume.
