The service was useful, I got to submit feedback and revisions were sent back within 24-48 hours. I think it would be nice to have an option for formatting help in the future just as the resume is is very specifically customized, and I had to download a font to make it appear correctly on my computer. Other than that, I'm quite happy with my experience.

I was concerned after I read some bad reviews but it turned out perfect for me. I'm very pleased and will highly recommend TopResume to everyone I know.

This is the worst experience I have ever had.

1. The writer absolutely has no experience in the industry I was applying for. Unprofessional words and expressions are all over the page.
2. A 7-day delay of the first draft without telling me the reason and without an apology.
3. Refused to refund and ask me to transfer my credit to friends or family. Seriously? Why would I do this if I don't trust your service?
4. Change contact person every time I contact them regarding the problem.
5. Only gave me 7 days to review the draft while they needed 14 days to write the draft (including the 7-day delay).
6. First draft presented had many mistakes that even I can easily identify. E. g repeating the same points. I don't know how many more mistakes the employers can find out.

Guys if you wanna get a perfect resume don't every use this TopResume. They will provide you nothing more than few pages of meaningless words.

TopResume is a very helpful service if you are trying to improve your resume. Even if you don't purchase any services from them, they will still do a free resume critique. They scrutinize it in the same manner that most companies would, and then show you exactly where your resume could use improvement (they even go so far as to tell you what kind of improvement that would entail), and where your resume is strong and not needing any modifications. Personally, I've always had trouble with my resumes, and I find this service to be invaluable. Thank you very much for all your help Laura!

I purchased one of their professional resume writing package expecting nothing but the best and TopResume did not disappoint. Safe to say, I am very happy with their services and would recommend them to anyone who is in the "job hunt" market and is struggling to get passed the resume filter phase. I had a great easy experience with my writer, Ian. He made the whole process very quick and answered all my questions. The cover letter was also amazing!

I choose their starter pack and provided them with all the context in which I want my resume to be written.

They wrote it, and I applied to 50+ jobs with that resume, all declined. All declination emails were generic, so probably my resume was never seen by a human eye, which proves that they can't deliver their promise of warranting the optimized resume for applicant tracking systems.

I asked it to be rewritten, but they said that the option I choose doesn't include a free rewrite guarantee, and I had to pay again for it to be rewritten (for a reduced price)

Result: 149 $ spent for nothing.

There are a lot of platforms and freelancers offering this service online, they're much cheaper and effective, don't waste your precious dollars on topresume.com

It's been awhile since I've graduated college so finding the time and figuring out how to update my outdated resume I needed a little guidance. I had several employees that were in college and several applicants that applied to work where I managed. Each resume looked different and changed constantly. Not knowing what the professional protocol now was for a resume had me stressed out. I didn't want to look incompetent or unprofessional. I say an ad for TopResume on the internet and figured i'd try it out after applying to several jobs and having no luck. As soon as I received my resume I landed a job right away!

My writer made a dull standard resume with over 25 years of experience reflect achievements and milestones in a way leaders are looking for. I added narratives to an old running copy of a resume and sent to my writer. The information and the product returned was dynamic! We went back and forth via email on a few points before the final version was saved. The process is collaborative and professional. I added a cover letter and LinkedIn profile to my package and recommend that service also. Remember: a writer can't read your mind, give them as much information as you can to work from.

Highway robbery of people in a desperate situation. I provided a very full resume that I wanted to get reworked by "professionals". My first draft (you only get 3 chances for them to get it right) was filled with inaccuracies and false information. All of my actual job information was inaccurate. There was also extensive work and education history that was never provided and outright false included. Upon bringing this to their attention I was asked what I thought needed to be done to it. Excuse me, you're the "professionals". I'm the one asking for help. Why in the world would you ask me? After some online research I made a simpler resume on my own and my job search has gone better. TopResume is a scam. Professional criminals maybe, but certainly not resume writers. A request for a refund was quickly denied. Stay away.

It was great to have TopResume assist me with my resume, cover letters and Linked-In presence. They were able to take an impartial view of my
Resume that I have reworked several times and with the assistance of other resume writers. I am an older worker so there are a lot of years to cover and need to "speak" in a way that folks would respond to. I have had some "bites" and have been asked to serve on a board. Networking, such as Linked-In can get you connected with other professionals. I know it can be frustrating to look for work, but I do feel I have put my best foot forward even at the ancient age of 63. We live in a college town so am realistic about the job search. Never the less I feel TopResume helped considerably.

I was laid off after being with a software company for 10 years. I also had 5 years software management experience from the employer prior to that. I have a very Technical background but did not know how to highlight my skill set while focusing on business analytics. Top Resume did that for me! They were fast responding and patient. Within one day after refreshing my resume on Dice, I was receiving phone calls for interviews. I recommend their service for anyone entering the job market.

There are so many other (way better) services to use than this one. Please avoid this company at all costs. It is completely a scam. My experience has been extremely painful and after 2 months, it is unfortunately still not over. Each resume they send me is worse than the last and honestly I have not received any interviews from any of the versions I got from this company. If I could give it no stars, I would 100%.

Resume had not been updated in many years! We was kind of leary of doing it on line but that was all dispelled by how professional the reviewer was and the excellent way she probed with great questions. Thanks for an awesome looking resume!

TopResume misled me with their "free review," and continued to make my resume much, much worse than it originally was. Format was terrible, the language was pedestrian, and the writer clearly did not have any professional experience. There's a reason this site doesn't offer any refunds - they know their work is garbage!

I think the rewritten resume was well done. I also opted in for a cover letter template, both of which can be customized (and I recommend highly you do this)

Communication and responsiveness get an A+ from the customer service folks to the emails from the writer.

I mentioned this in my other feedback, my only suggestion is they should have a graphic designer look at their templates.

The writers are from Punjabi which is not what you need to speak locally to your American or European market. They don't honor their guarantee based on vague fine print from their FAQ. They take too long for everything. Customer service is non existent

I had a timely and professional experience from start to finish with TopResume. There was plenty of communication, set expectations and a quality product delivered as promised. I was looking for a more engaging format and my writer really came through for me on that! I did have plenty of feedback to provide with some minor corrections and change requests but they were well received and taken into consideration. I would easily recommend TopResume to others and I may use them again for other needs in the future!

I used their service as I had not updated my resume in about 8 years and I'd never had it reviewed by a professional. Sign up was easy and due to a discount, I chose the package with letters and a LinkedIn review. The return service was regularly prompt. I think they may have focused a bit too much on general finance and less on some of my lending background. But over all they did a great job enhancing my profile. And have the letter templates is an added comfort as well.

Top Resume nicely crafted my resume and cover letter. This was the first time I've paid for this service-after reading their initial critique of my resume I opted to purchase a package. The reworked version was neater, cleaner, and used stronger language, and the cover letter was extremely well written. I did get an interview the first week after using the new versions. My only hesitation is that their turnaround times are very fast before they close a case-be prepared to set aside time when you sign up to avoid any issues.

After they gave me first draft, I could ask for 2 revisions which were just a joke. Writer added 1 single line that anyone can do then that was it. I selected Executive Priority but I bet executive writers are the same writers for Career Evolution or Professional Growth. Otherwise I was just one unlucky customer. My $350 wasted.

I was hoping they would improve my resume. What came back felt like it was written for a junior sales or marketing role, rather than an experienced IT project manager. Then no response for some time when I complained. They then assigned another writer, who was just as bad and will not enter into a dialogue. They will not answer direct questions. I sent my original and new versions to 3 people, each said my original was better for me. Do not waste your money on these people.

Though I had a very good resume that got myself in many doors TopResume really polished the appearance of the presentation. I was very impressed with the difference in results once I submitted the new resume. The positions I was getting interviews for where at least 20% higher in salary, and much more appropriate for my skill level. I also was able to weed out the positions that were not to the level I was seeking but on paper may have been, through HR managers seeing the true depth of my experience. Often it resulted in them wishing to submit me for upcoming director or executive roles.

I would not hesitate using TopResume again or Recommending them regardless of your current resume.
